@Jerie A little research on power generation and dissemination will help you, stop spewing ignorance. |
is the tablet still available? |
Good one by fg,its never been like dis with previous govt |
This is why most of the so-called Nigerian graduates cannot pass simple comprehension test. The analysis compared what govt spent last year against this year and found the difference as 671 billion Naira. It doesn't mean that amount was lodged as savings somewhere, all he is saying is what we spent last year, we didn't spend dis year in Subsidy claims. Please let's try and act smart than the theiving politician we call clueless. If this is all we got, then am afraid of the future. Don't be too haste to comment on a thread, they don't give any award for that. |
D very same folks that will magnify corruption report if Nigeria has gotten a rating that is tandem with increase in corruption even with a small margin of 0.0001 but will never deem it appropriate to acknowledge improvement when corruption decreases by increased Transparancy from 2.4 to 2.7. Isn't that pessimism and unconstructive criticism?. If truly as Gbawe and the rest claims Diezanni Madueke and GEJ ministers have really embezzled so much why is TI rating showing otherwise. By their propangada report, I thought Nigeria should be at the bottom of the table. You can't work against the truth. |
When people snap dirty things in Nigeria and put it on youtube what are they expecting? Must u wash ur dirty linen in d public. Most Nigerian youth are sick intellectually and psychologically. |
Before now who cares about Who writes d President Speech? Bad belle go kill some peeps. Take it or leave it, He's gonna continue to be your President at least till 2015 if not beyond. Learn to live with it. |
@acidtalk U re suffering from bad belle-ism, no wonder your name. |
But when the probe started many people were shouting anti-GEJ slogan, People started hearing things that were secrets in other regimes in GEJ regime (Thanks to PIB) but we have too many shallow minds in Nairaland. |
I have found out that most members in Nairaland are just freaking lazy to find out the truth. Follow bandwagon to bring another down without unverifiable reports. The only reason why NA wants her out was because she dared a House Member who was indicted in the long run for taking estaco but failing to attend the seminar organised by SEC.Where is the House Member today? When the few elite that is fighting corruption are being harrased by corrupt people, instead of well meaning Nigerians to give this few support, you ignorantly and idiotically(if there is and adjective like this) join the corrupt wagons to cry foul. Reason Nigeria may not get out of the woods. |
I think there is a collaboration of forces from state govts with Fed govts in using Armed forces with the Police where Police is unable to handle peaceful co-existence of the community and Fashola has used this medium to indiscriminately oppress the okada riders with high impunity. I will advise the PDP led govt to start associating with okada men, transport workers, the poor people and down trodden. Its a matter of time and all dis structure of LASTMA oppression, Taskforce etc can be overturned. The people should seek alternative political power against CAN, that will work better because even if Fashola commits genocide, neither himself will resign, nor the house will impeach him as far BAT monthly allocation is regular |
I mean to say 50% drop comparing 2012 and 2013. Common sense tells you whenever you re given a task that requires budgeting, the first thing to do is to get information about the last budget or recent budget of dat thing to help you prepare for the forthcoming project. If only 50% of 2012 budget was budgeted for 2013 it shows dat d budget for two days in 2013 is not one day in 2012.Isn't dat an improvement. Abeg Youth don't alwayz come and talk rash, dis is an international forum and one day ppl will start using Nairaland as a standard to assess d average Nigerian Youth |
Me think d budget is fair going by d fact dat the budget reduced by 50% when comparing 2011 and 2012.Most of d ppl ranting here don't run biz so they don't really know cost of diesel calculation for a day, a week ,a month and a year. If you think d budget is too high let us see your logical argument using mathematical projection. Is not enuf critisizing without logic, do your analysis and tell us why d budget is too much.No wonder YOUWIN BIZ was introduced Nigerian Youth could not take advantage. We don't think in dis country, we just look at figures and make conclusion. We may be worse than our fathers if we continue in dis attitude. |
Very cheap propangada. Is the person that interrogated the man a police officer? How come he is given access to such a sensitive crime suspect? Nairalanders would not just think but just rush and pass judgement like people who didn't attend second schools and 2moro you willl call GEJ clueless. I pity for all of you who are consumed by dis cheap propaganda. |
Yes,dis is not d type of news d vampires want.Trust me you will never see their likes commenting, just d heading alone makes them hiss and ignores. They had rather overrate bad news and make it look like Nigeria is a banana republic |
@ Dayokanu Read d full article below and find for yourself d answers to d question you asked. Last time I checked on history GEJ was d president in year 2011 abi na Yar Adua? The survey on global corruption perceptions for 2011 versus 2001 showed that the third best improvement in the world was in Nigeria, with its score improving by 1.5 points. In the scoring, Nigeria follows the United States of America, which scored 2 points, while Bangladesh scored the highest by 2.3 points. Also in the survey, the corruption perception score showed that Nigeria displaced Zambia, Mauritius, Uganda, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Botswana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivore, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Egypt, Namibia, and Tunisia. Barely one year ago, the Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had vowed to tackle corruption in the country, saying the move would help the ministry to effectively deliver on its mandate. Okonjo-Iweala was appointed last year by President Goodluck Jonathan to restore some order to Nigeria’s public finance. A former World Bank managing director, she is battling to reform one of the world’s most corrupt nations, without support from the shadowy “godfathers” who wield power from behind the scenes. Nigeria scored higher than countries like Poland, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Belgium, Romania, Latvia, Bolivia, Estonia, Slovenia, Germany, Turkey, Hong Kong, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, India, Norway, Azerbaijani, Ecuador, Australia, France, Sweden, Costa Rica, Slovakia, Vietnam, and Kenya. Other countries Nigeria scored higher than are Taiwan, Ukraine, Thailand, Pakistan, Russia, China, Croatia, Nicaragua, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Austria, Singapore, Lithuania, Denmark, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Luxembourg, Portugal, Moldova, Brazil, Canada, the Philippines, Chile, Columbia, Jordan, Panama, Finland, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Peru, Mexico, Hungary, Spain, Greece, Venezuela, Iceland, Uzbekistan, Italy, Israel, and Trinidad and Tobago. The survey further showed that nine Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA) countries have seen improving scores against five SSA countries that saw a decline (Namibia and South Africa) from high scores previously. Two North African countries saw a big decline – and that may have contributed to the regime change which saw autocrats deposed in those countries. “The middle class in Tunisia was particularly incensed by the corruption in their country,” said Charlie Robertson, Managing Director, Global Chief Economist, Renaissance Capital. |
Ok let's continue to celebrate bad news. Wether u like it or not if GEJ and his family members are applying for visas frm foreign embassies, they will give dem 1st class priority even after been in govt. but na me and you and our children will be finding it difficult to get common dubai visas. Then you will know you re really doing urself and ur children disservice and not GEJ. For your info, he won't alwayz be there. He took over frm some1 and somebody else will take over frm him. |
Below is d link I of the TI rating new post on Naiaraland but as usual because people are not concern about gud news, it was scanty. Maybe if we have commented and analysed it as an issue who would have been inform here. Why do we like to celebrate bad news? www.nairaland.com/1048176/fg-anti-corruption-initiative-finally-paying |
@Gbawe I used to respect you before but the way you are attempting to be blind to d truth just because you want to call a dog a bad name. Its not fair. I remembered the TI rating improvement was the first post I created in Nairaland and people did not bother to comment because it was good news. Now you prefer to escalate evil because it will boost your ego. You want TI to give you rating for 2012 year when we have not finished 3rd Quarter of 2012. The TI rating with anti-corruption improvement we re talking about is for 2011. He might have mistaken dis years anti-corruption work for last years landmark improvement for TI rating but dat does not remove the fact that it so improved while he is charge. Gbawe and Co would have been happy if the indicators were pointing d country in bad light. You guys don't behave like progressives at all. Is that how people scan through Fashola govt to look for loopholes? This cheap black mail won't take you guys anywhere. Criticize and be a worthy opposition for the sake of progress and not blackmail. If there's anything d rating has done, it has proved most of your claims that corruption heightens in GEJ era or GEJ also influenced their 2011 report. Una no dey try at all thinking you re doing GEJ disservice but not knowing you re killing d image of dis country. I bow for una oh |

I saw this piece in someones profile in facebook and I decided to post such here to enlighten ladies who fall for blind luv. |
There are 3 types of men or husbands ladies need to know about. 1. HUNTERS They use ladies for their own satisfaction or consumption. They are skilled at searching for beautiful but ignorant and naive ladies. 2. SCAVENGERS They capitalize on the weaknesses of ladies with low self esteems. They weaken already weak ladies. They take advantage of their weaknesses. 3. GARDENERS These are the real men. They cultivate their women, make them blossom, fruitful and bring out the best in them.Is the guy you are going out with a hunter? Is he asking you for sex, telling you its ok, promising to marry you? Is he a scavenger? He knows your story of abuse, low self esteem, that you have been disvirgined and he feels he is the next person to have sex with you? Make sure you do not enter into a relationship until you can vouch that the guy is a 'gardener', 'a real man', a 'groom', someone who will cultivate you, lead you and take you on a journey of self discovery and self confidence.Gud evening peeps.Happy independent anniversary |

Ekwueme..epitome of wisdom and intellects. |
All d people criticizing govt will not contribute in dis thread like Demdem and d rest...They only ravage on post dat demean d office of govt and d country. |
I will score him 70% because I have not have cause to use my gen for over 3 months. I didn't bother servicing and d thing just lies there. Any one dat underrates Jonathan do it at his own risk. Go and ask Atiku, Dambazzau, former minister of justice in yar adua era. You underate dis man, you get screwed! |
I think Mimiko has not performed badly, I lived and worked in Akure before relocating back to Lagos Sept 2010. Those saying Mimikos govt earn most in times of allocation when compared to previous govt have refused to also tell us dat cost of running governance was also more expensive in his regime than previous govt. Will d amnt a contractor will charge award of a 2km road now can never be d same like in previous govt. Things get expensive as d year goes by even in advance countries. Or is d same amount of money ur parents spent on you that your grand parents spaent on your parents education? We re wise people here in Nl and don't just come and be feeding us with propangada. If you think N4b is too much for security vote in Mimikos regime, post what previous allocation had let's do d comparative analysis with d realities on ground now and we ll able to judge then. NL full of too many propangada |
When GEJ didn't turn up for debates with other contestants because he feels d station doesn't have wide coverage of d Nigerian masses we all cried foul with suggestions that he is incompetent, clueless etc and d one he attended in NTA was discredited because others didn't show up. Now Barr Sola Oke has done well (confirmed by commentators here) and we re still not convinced with many argueing that sweet talk doesn't really put food on ppls table. My question now is on what basis do we adjudge a candidate to be best suited for d job if we really don't have a specific criteria to access them. I think our politicians are far better than electorates themselves. That is to say if GEJ has put up a good debate, many nairalanders here would have still condemn it. Until we grow up above sentiments, we may never be able to choose d right politicians and move forward. My own piece. |
Demdem is just an intellectually lazy fellow that is why he resorts to dem say neews, propangada and abuse. I really miss beaf cos 1 beaf can destabilise 1 million Demdem intellectually and otherwise. |
"The dictionary meaning of Demdem is a SCAVENGER that invades Nairaland and use all his sense organs to scan for evil news about his country and govt. just to paint it in bad light" All he is interested is in stories at Nigeria is not working, GEJ is cluess etc. I can analyse all your posts in Nairaland for you to see. You dont criticize govt. for the good of this country, You have a personal agenda. You will never see him discuss as a progressive of this country. All he resorts to is name calling, paint a very bad picture of govt., run down good programmes, discredits good policies by telling you how it failed in Obj and Babangida era without giving better options. I weep for you because a time will come when these projects will be so obvious to the people that you will be so ashamed of your propangada that you will have no choice than to change your Username in Nairaland. If I am not sure of any GEJ reform at least am sure of POWER. For the first time Nigeria came to democracy under GEJ, election petitions in courts as a result of electoral malpractices reduced by over 80% and you say the process is not fair enough? It may not be perfect but is far way better than what is obtainable in the past. I think Seun and mods owe this country a duty for the sake of the integrity of Nigerians and good image, they should start deleting posts that is abusive and denigrate the people of Nigeria. I put it to Demdem that he cannot successfully rep a class of 40 undergradates as a governor but he will come here shouting like an orphan. I pity you cos you look like a paid agent of a politician that has lost elections. |
Thanks every good and well meaning Nigerians, your prayers are sure working wonders for the first lady. I don't know her or have any links with her but as a xtian and a Nigerian with a good spirit, I can't wish her less than a quick recovery. We also pray for as many Nigerians going through different difficulties, we ask that the God of Mercy will intervene in their respective cases with long lasting solutions IJN amen. |
While I respect the mod for deleting abusive post but I must not fail to mention that Sagamites has been calling innocent folks names just because they decide to send their goodwill message, you did not deem it neccessary to caution him until he is challenged. So many reasons could be responsible why her illness wasn't made official. As a xtian we don't say we re sick even when its real. U say u re strong..well I know so many will have everything against dat but dats me. Even if d govt has gone public to announce the illness it wouldn't change their likes...trust me they have every negative thing to draw up no matter what. When Asiwaju was ill, we never wished him bad even when he didn't tell us he went abroad for treatment. Why hating life you cannot make..am still wondering. I know mada PEJ is fine IJN amen. |
