like my friend said: if the guy has been holding on for thirty odd years, then he could have held on a while longer.

What exactly is he trying to prove by coming out in this manner? huh

something's fishy here.
money and more money.  call it pink dollar or pink pound. it is laughing all the way to the bank for him. he now has a new audience his music can reach. there is the small matter of  public speaking at gay events which equals more money.  the homosexual lobby is one big vocal minority. they targeted the media which they now use to sell the lifestyle.  i am no supporter of mugabe.  i don't like him and the things he stands for. i can say  majority of the fight he has with the british govt started  because of his opposition to homosexuality and peter tarchell's harasing him every where he goes.  peter tarchell by the way is uk gay rights senior activist.

Its more Ridiculous that people using the internet, do not know how to read.

i like what Alvin Toffler said "The illiterate of the future are not those who can't read or write
but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn
"

Circumcision is different from Mutilation.

kai!

also, how did She and her Sisters turn to Two peoplehuh? undecided

@Bawo, if you werent circumcised as a baby, wont you pass on it now?

in fact circumcision on any grown person is discouraged.

because of the stated risks.

so my pipu, go and learn!
Circumcision is different from Mutilation
not on NL. first commandment thou shall not tell the truth about islam and mole people. 2nd thou shall not say FGM or circumcision is done properly with people having healthy sexual life. i think seun and the militias are still coming on this later

an open season is being gradually declared by these militant minority. it reminds me of the drip drip assault in the 90's that led england to where it finds itself today.

i cant understand why a tiny minority are not satisfied with doing what they do privately without pushing it on the masses

sister nwando you know what is going is going on here is more than cultural. it is a blatant bullying habit some immature people are exhibiting.

the amount of previous posts and quotes i have seen this past 24hrs is unbelievable. that shows you this matter is more than bathing water and rituals.  this topic was supposed to be on demanding. demanding  guguru and epa or bole or ground nuts or neck lace i cannot tell. it has left that into a different league.

nigeria's evil has no tribal boundry. only on NL are people trying to make it so.

i first saw this adult circumcision thing in the 80's. i had a colleague who was to be circumcised by the hubbys's people at 25yrs because she was about to marry. the husband to be disagreed. the family told him to wait and see.  the poor girl was already pregnant. he travelled to akure for his cousin's wedding somebody poisoned him there and never made it back to benin again. there are ugly people amongst every tribe.

Ah well.

Sometimes, one just wants to give up on dudes embarassed

Ive never been in your situation, but

Like someone suggested, Dating someone in your own "class" or wareva

is usually safer.

Pako and Butter, just dosnt mix right at times sad
it does not mix. sadly for some you have to continually apologise for being blessed to make them comfortable.  sadly you can't help some people
ilurveit:
All of you are wonderful. Thanks for all d advice and encouragement. So what I understand is the best thing is just to stick with people from the same kind of background as me. That's what my sister has been saying, but I don't want to come across as a snob. Maybe I need to just work on myself and stop caring what people think about me.
I don't think "love conquers all," but I just never thought that economic level would become like one of my criteria for picking guys, and to me, it's a little sad to come to that realization because I feel like one of those girls that is assessing a guy's pocket the minute she meets him and that's not who I want to be.
they say love is blind but relationships and marraige opens your eye. relationships with people who feels disadvantaged is always high maintainance. don't forget they will have friends and family who will always look into your pocket too. it is bad enough being used by one person.
shine your eyes and never feel guilty nor apologise for being you.

Gamine, i think nothing wrong. but how funny you live in a poor place but a fine place in the village is empty. like you and the 3 kids living in 1 bedroom and then labor to build a nice house in the village when you are not living there. i think it is a general thing and not peculiar with a tribe.
the funny thing also is some of them will be afraid to live there in fear of immaginary winsh and wizard
do you know how many houses were seized from the igbos in various part of nigeria during and after the war? ever heard once beaten twice shy? there is no place like home as they say. the history of nigeria is laced with tribalism and injustice. eneke the bird said men had learnt to shoot without missing so it learnt to fly withourt pearching

so are igbo women and everyone else she talks trash about.

David enjoys it when I hurt him behind closed doors  wink

I lost all loff for Hannibal when I discovered him sending sessy pictures to other women!  angry
LadyT. that is true. she talks trash about benin people too. that is funmi for you. if you check this threads you will see i talk to funmi regularly about various issues.  i paste one of the recent here for you. i am not blind to the fact my aunty can be a handfull you guys just show mercy on her tonight.

david will tell you here i have been on his case when he makes some remarks about the churches i dont even know  but he is my brother. i have great respect for the fine minds they have as youths who will do greater things than us one day.  i owe them a duty to tell them they are wrong and put their energy into better use rather than seeing holes and faults in things they cant possibly change or affect.  hope i dont come accross as supporting funmis fight.  i dont and she will tell you i dont

What wahala? Should igbos tell other tribes that stay in their hometown to go before they cause wahala? It's the Bini youths that are the aggressors here. I believe in hard work and most Bini's do not believe in that.  How do you expect to get an equal whatever in the church when you are not active?
auntie funmi, this is how you get yourself in trouble. how could you say something like that? how did you know who is active and who was not from that article?

DeepZone n Pataki have a tradition of dissing each other(all on a friendly note).
She has not complained about the disses yet which makes me wonder why her public address system is blaring!!
that is not technically true. think of how many tims hse get banned.

@ str nwando. we still need you for a very long time. so that shirt is off please. we don't want any water now please. you know the NL wolis have seen it that ibo people use the bath thing so lts delay their joy

LadyT, i understand your stance. grin But make we calm down small for the chic now ehn. She's someone's daughter too . . . yeah she upsets us with her topics and tribal sentiments but haba . . . all na post now. She isnt bringing cane to flog all the men in her area just yet. She no fit. cheesy
at least we know that is what she does best. not even my fathers people is spared in her fight but she is someones daughter. i have great believe she will calm down soon and put her strenght into great crusading cause. the one wahala i have with our people is that if this girl was a white girl, oyinbo would have given her a mentor and a cause that she will channel her energy into. like her or hate her she has got the passion all she needs is direction and guidance towards a cause and the rest will be history as they say. she will calm down
