If this is truly ASUU seeking public opinion on whether to call off the strike, then I must say they are very stupid! I believe ASUU should know that there are many who benefit from their incessant strikes and would not want them to call off the strike. Assuming more of such people were online at the time of this poll and voted against calling off the strike, ASUU would now rely on them to take a stand on the strikehuh

Let me just believe this is not ASUU

If I had been this much enlightened, I wouldn't have wasted my precious time and years vying to get pharmacy as a course of study.
Back then in 2014, when I was admitted to study vet. med in UI, owing to the mis-information from ignorant folks about the course and different forms of stereotyping, I turned down the offer.
Later when I got admitted into pharmacy school and when I mingle with vet. students I finally get the actual picture of the course. Some moments in the past, I couldn't help to forgive myself not taking the admission.
The pasture is always greener on the other side! You wouldn't appreciate your pharmacy now until you step into the shoes of vet doctors! You are making your judgment based on your encounter with vet students in school forgetting that most students always try to put up the impression that they are studying the best course while in school. Reality always hit them in the labor market though. Meanwhile, as I type this my friend who is a vet doctor is in Enugu hustling on feet for a Pharmacist in his distribution company.

Some people would have everything they need but won't know how to use them. That is life for you.

The essence is to acquire the knowledge first

Even if you end up doing business, there will be a difference between a graduate of any course in the university and a mere secondary school certificate holder in business
There's no difference whatsoever! That hypothesis does not hold true in the market! Especially with the way our universities are run, whereby most students aim only to pass exams without really acquiring knowledge.

.What said may not be far from the truth. So you need to pray very hard, really hard. If you are a Christian look for a charismatic Rev Father or a pastor whose source of power is not in question.
My brother don't ever take this advice! They'll end up milking the little money you have.

It's just the outcome of the Nigerian system where such bright children are not properly guided. There's the need to revive the guidance and counseling units of every secondary school in the country to help guide those kids on how to make the right career choices.

Besides op, the fact that someone graduated from the university and is still unemployed does not mean that she/he has failed. That the other guys now drive Benz or are married with kids does not also make that unemployed graduate a write off. Wealth is fleeting bro. In a twinkle of an eye, things can turn around for the unemployed graduate. I have a living example of how an unemployed graduate who was being looked down on by his shortsighted friends and even some family members suddenly got a good job and became the pillar of his family. That's after 8yrs of job search

This is said a lot.
If one's happiness isn't dependant on another or perhaps, shouldn't be, what then is one's happiness dependant on if not from what one interacts with?
Imagine a world where you're alone, would you be happy? This suffices to say happiness is relative and also dependant.

All this self love bla bla bla is trash. The guy bleeped up and nobody cares. I've suffered heart break and I know how it feels, not to consider being dumped for the persons to marry someone else almost the same time. You were just wasting my time. If you want to dissapoint me, do it early.
Ladies deserve no pity when it comes to breakups. They do it all the time to guys with reckless abandon. Some of them do it just for fun and to boast to their friends. It massages their ego when they dump a guy!
But like the saying goes; those who are good at killing other people's children will never allow others come close to their own kids with a cutlass.

Ladies should simply learn to woman up and move on when they are dumped.

my bad fir trying to clear you, dts y Africans wont grow.
Well Im a jnr reg in one of the teaching hospital in 9ja.
I hv my facts
You are a junior reg and still typed that only MBBS and mls graduates can do MPHhuh What about Nurses, Pharmacists, dentists, med rehab guys etc. You obviously have little information at your disposal concerning MPH. I know someone with BSc biology who did MPH. The issue is not doing MPH, but getting a job with it. Someone with BSc
in any biological science can do MPH but the question is; after MPH, what next? wait endlessly for a rare UN job? While the healthcare graduates can at least apply their knowledge in practice, the biology graduate is restricted to only few jobs. Even when those few jobs come up, he is still at disadvantage because he'll still have the healthcare professionals (who wish to work for such NGO jobs) to contend with, and those professionals will always be preferred by the organization.
The best bait for BSc guys is to further in the academia up to PhD level.
Education › Re: Advice: Should I Go For Medicine Or For A Masters? by Jman06(m): 8:38pm On Jan 05, 2019
Go for medicine guy. Biochemistry is too shallow to even impart broad knowledge into you let alone get you a decent job.

It should only be taken as a stepping stone into professional medical courses or research in specific related fields after PhD.

Go for medicine if you have the resources.

You have a choice to listen to the devil or to God.

Accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour and be saved.

Through Jesus, you will be able to say No to the devil's suggestions.
I wonder why God would create devil, humans, sin, good, bad, freewill and then put all into this same planet earth. And then still expect man to live sinless life.

It's either he is a sadist who takes pleasure in seeing man suffer eternal pains in hellfire or he is not as powerful as Christians want us to believe. Or he simply does not exist!
Christianity Etc › Re: Free Will Is An Illusion by Jman06(m): 7:16pm On Jan 05, 2019
Originakalokalo:
I have noticed of late that the Devil has successfully deceived men to think that God is the cause of their woes.

The deceived men are his foot soldiers to fight the almighty at Amagedon.

" And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him."
(Zechariah 3: 1)

Resist here means to accuse him.

The bible calls him the accuser of the brethren.

He deceives the world to sin and accuse them before the holiness of God.

When there is hunger and malnutrition, someone had stolen money meant for thousands of people.... He listened to the devil....

...There are cries of sorrow as a result of killings and loss of loved ones. .....Someone took that decision to shot and kill....

The Devil is responsible for the atrocities of mankind... But mankind should be punished since he has the free will to reject the devil's suggestions.

Why don't we accept to do good since we have free will?

This is why mankind will be punished.
The devil must be more powerful than God then. If not, how can a supposedly omnipotent God stand so helpless while the devil is decimating all his supposedly beloved creatureshuh

The Boyfriend got exactly what he deserved!!
So, he wanted a child yet he was asking the girl to abort for him till the point of her womb being damaged!!
Next time, instead of ending the innocent child life, just end the father's own!!
I hate wickedness!!
In a relationship, it takes two to tango! The guy didn't force her to have sex or do abortion! She couldn't have had sex with the guy if she didn't want to! Except in a case of rape, a lady has no justification to blame the outcome of a sexual act on the guy.

That stated, there is a possibility that this might not be the case with the OP's soon to be ex here.

The pain point is that this OP has been with the said girl for 2 years, two whole years yet this guy doesn't know when he will conquer his own world.

Please, how would you feel if your sister spends that amount of time with someone who feels his girl has to wait for him till whenever he is ready to take her to the altar?

Girls don't have that much time as guys do in matters like this and besides this is nig. It is possible if this OP blows tomorrow this same girl who has been with him all these years will now seem too old or out of class for him. Now tell me who will lose at last, the same unkwon girl most comments here are in favour of.

Don't take my opinion personal, I only felt you judged someone from your uncle's experience without giving the person the benefit of the doubt. I feel that for a seemingly egoist like the OP, he would have spotted it on time if the girl had an ulterior motive.

On the other hand, am writing more out of experience, almost one year around this time, I broke up with a nice/understanding girl with ONE of my reasons being about not being ready and the likes and I knew I will never feel right if I kept her longer and didn't end up marrying her.

I called her a few days ago only to find out that she married in Nov 2018 to a guy that she had met and parted ways with a few years before I came around. It turned out that while she was hurting after my calling it quits with her, fate had her now-husband reconnect with her and healed the injury i caused her. Probably everything seemed right for the two of them from the guys perspective of marrying her and vice versa.

There is every possibility that if this OP leaves this girl today or vice versa, she won't date another person (a mature and marriage-ready man) for up to 2 years before answering Mrs.

Bro, if i come across a good girl (as i assume) like the OP's soon to be ex, and it seems right in the eyes of both man and God for us to marry, I won't have to wait till I make all the money in the world before settling down. The reality of life is that as long as one's means of income is legitimate and one invest wisely, money will keep coming. So why wait till i have it all when I know i know i can never have it all?
And the girl has no brain abihuh She is so daft that she can't tell when a guy isn't ready to marry her?

My sisters are wise enough not to force themselves on a guy who isn't ready for marriage.

You guys should stop making the guy feel guilty! It took two of them to tango in the relationship, not the guy alone! He didn't force her to remain in the relationship.

People on this forum are becoming too unreasonable to my liking!

Are you all kids on this forumhuh Have you not witnessed cases of desperate ladies who do all Whatnots to rope men into marriage only to reveal their real characters in the marriagehuh You think that sending airtime to guy's mum or calling her means that she truly loves himhuh
Guys, be wise! No woman truly loves a man except his mum or sisters. It is always about what they stand to gain in the marriage. Don't be deceived! Take your time and marry at your own time and to the lady of your choice!

That was how one woman desperately tied one of my uncles. When she was displaying her desperation, people thought that she was in love. She would visit the guy's mum in the village every weekend and while coming she would buy all sorts of things for her. She befriended everybody in the family! After marriage, her real character showed up! Everybody became enemy. The man's mum was never allowed to visit his son's house, let alone the siblings. It got to a point where the couple had to separate.

Are you for real?
Nigeria has no public university to boast of and you are saying this. This madness has to stop. Let's stop procrastinating the evil day.
I'm for real bro. Do you know that the majority of Nigerian students will be disenfranchised if the election holds without the students on campus?? Do you also know that many students make a little cash working as adhoc staff in the electionhuh If ASUU is serious about fighting for the interest of the students, then they should boycott the election.
I'm aware of the fact that our public universities need adequate attention but the interest of the students and their poor parents should always be considered by ASUU whenever they make decisions on industrial action.
They can't deny students the opportunity to vote in the election or work as adhoc staff when they themselves would be participating in the election. That'll be very unfair

If they partake in the election without calling off the strike, that'll be very selfish of them and would confirm the suspicion that they don't care about the interest of the students.

I can only tell u good gals are hard to find. If u find one and u love her don’t mess it up. Sm gals actually support ur dreams and push u further rather than draw u back. U may or may not have it all set b4 u marry it all depends on hardwork, luck, time and chance.

If she’s the type that will draw u back or slow u down once married then put marriage on hold. As per what she has done by calling ur mum I can’t be totally sure of her motives bt if she was just being nice or acting out of desperation bt Desperation is nice at all.
How did you know that the girl is good! Because she sent recharge cards to his mom? That's a trick some ladies employ to lure a guy into marriage. After marriage the real character will come out.

Guy's should simply marry when they are ready and not get tricked into marriage.

The same foolish Nigerians complaining about politicians looting their treasury are the ones here castigating Peter Obi for being prudent.

The truth is there for every discerning mind to see. Only those with selfish political interests would doubt Obi's sincerity.
We all know how bad things were in Anambra state before Peter Obi became governor and how he was able to transform the state for the better.

People called him stingy just because he wasn't throwing the state's funds around. Those are the kind of leaders we need.

What point exactly that op doesn't research well or choose to write something that doesn't make sense or what?
The op is very much on point!

The same thing he complained about happens in my village! People do luncheons every Christmas to build beautiful edifices for the church while the only primary and secondary schools are in total ruins. People make contributions every Sunday towards the never-ending church building projects but they do nothing about their decaying schools and health centers! Then when they die of common ailments due to lack of healthcare facilities, the devil is blamed.

Why can't communities donate towards revamping infrastructures in their public schools and health centershuh Why can't even the churches channel some of the money they con from their gullible members into reviving those decaying schools and health centers especially in the villageshuh

I quite agree with the op that Nigerians are largely stupid and irrational when it comes to religion.
