There's urgent need for improved healthcare delivery in the state. Death rate in Enugu is on astronomical level. This is not only because of poor healthcare system in the state but also due to poor healthcare seeking attitudes of indigenes of the state.

I believe that if more investments are made in the area of revamping our healthcare infrastructures and employing qualified personnel to run the system, more people would be encouraged to seek the right care when they fall sick. We also need to educate the people through media programs to desist from patronizing quacks and going to religious houses when they fall sick but go to hospitals and pharmacies to seek healthcare from trained personnel.

The people and governments should know that as we are delving more into modernization so are diseases also increasing and becoming more intractable. Therefore, we need to up our games if we want to fight off those diseases and preserve humanity.

It shouldn't just end in removing him! That man should be arrested and jailed for many years to deter others from indulging in such sabotage next time.

Certificates that other people spend years of suffering to acquire is what you dish out to others just because of money! That is not just a sabotage to the nation but an insult to all those who have been going through a lot of suffering to acquire the certificates genuinely.

Cases like this should never be treated with kids gloves if we want to build a strong and prosperous nation.

There's need for a total reorientation of Igbo youths. We urgently need to stop praising and honoring those with dubious sources of wealth.

Many youths now believe in the idea of "make money or die trying" which is very unhealthy for us as a people.

Igbo ladies also contribute in fueling this devilish mindset of making money by all means even at the expense of people's lives. Many Igbo ladies don't believe in humble beginning. They want you to already own a bank before coming to propose marriage to them. They fail to understand that many rich men today started building with their wives from the scratch. Their attitudes fuel the desperation by many young men to make money at all costs.

This has put a very serious strain in marriage these days because such ladies would rather wait endlessly for a non-existing richer man until she grows old and become unattractive to men.

This is coupled with the fact that women are more in population than men. Most men have taken solace in marrying from the pool of younger and perhaps not so educated ladies thereby leaving the so called educated ladies without men to marry them. Such ladies are everywhere including hospitals, banks, manufacturing industries, oil and gas companies etc, so it is not just banks.

In order to solve this problem, it is either we stop educating and employing the female gender so they can become fully dependent on men or women who have been empowered with education and jobs desist from hypergamy but condition their minds to marry men of equal or even lower financial status. That's one way to justify the huge investment people make in training and empowering the girl child.

Parents and families must desist from raising their daughters and sisters with the wrong mindsets that their husbands must be rich and must provide for them. We should redefine marriage as a partnership between a man and a woman where both gender contribute equally to raise families in order to ensure continuity of life.

Ladies need to understand that once a man loves his lady, he naturally wants to care for her. So while you work and make your own financial contribution in the home front, the man would equally make his and still strive to do things for you to show his love and care for you. You are even more likely going to enjoy marriage this way than when you marry one heartless moneybag who would treat you badly while also using every opportunity to remind you that you are a parasite to him.

Who says feminists don't love thier husbands? Feminism is more about women than about men. It has nothing to do with hating men. If you hate men, you're a misandrist regardless of what you've chosen to call yourself. So ladies that make comments like this are ignorant and they're mostly those eager to be accepted or praised by the other side. I'm not saying we should all agree with feminists (it'd be great if we did). I'm saying that if you must stand against feminism, try to understand the concept at least. Feminism is about equity and fairness. It's about getting rid of prejudice against women. Feminism is about women empowerment. This same lady will come online tomorrow to cry if she loses a position at work because someone believes men are better managers or better leaders. The men that praise her today will be the ones to complain she brings nothing to the table other than her body.

Women (especially Nigerian women) don't need any other kind of empowerment! In fact, I now believe that it's completely useless for a girl child to go beyond basic education not to talk of seeking employment. My reason is that men are still expected to cater for women not only in marriage but even in relationships.

Go to the Eastern part of the country, you'll see ladies with university education who would rather prefer to be a house wife to one illiterate in one main market. The majority of Nigerian girls prefer the old order where men work and bring home bread while women birth children and take care of the home. So, we don't have any need for all the women empowerment which feminists clamor for. A girl from a good home with sound upbringing will do much better in marriage even if she's 18. On the other hand, I have seen many ladies who are 30 and above still reasoning and acting like kids.

Even here on nairaland, I'm usually dismayed reading comments from ladies in their 40s who still sound like some 16yo girls.
