Ekosodin that year during our UNIBEN days lol cheesy
I can't imagine this is the same area Oshiomole deserted which Obaseki is now trying to give the place an image.
Politicians sha.
APC rallies has proven that corona virus is a hoax in Nigeria and the mendacity of NCDC's daily figures has been exposed.
I wish it was that simple.

Earlier in a remark, the traditional Zaiki Aselm Aidonojie, endorsed the Goveenor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Mr. Philip Shaibu.

He showered encomium on the Governor for restoring him back to the throne of his forebears and for attracting 12 major projects including Uromi school of Agriculture and Uromi water project to the area within four years of his administration.

There goes Aslem (abi Anselm) again. Openly supporting a candidate against the grain of common sense. If the other party wins, maybe his removal will be permanent this time.

You see why you need trusted chiefs of staffs. Same reason Buhari refused to change his loyal CoSs
Most coups aren't plotted by chiefs of staff. It's usually middle-level officers. Sometimes, it's even junior officers. The first thing you do is lock up the CoSs before arresting the president.

Yes I am.

Centuries ago, what you think was ordinary mirror and gin was a novelty to our forefathers.

Today, it isn't mirror and gin, it is train that is a novelty in African countries.

See how they come out to launch the trains like it's a big deal.

Same trains that the western world is about to ditch for a hyperloop. Check Dubai and see.
In a country of 200 million people with horrible roads, overpriced air tickets, and no "hyperloops", trains are a big deal and are genuinely seen as that. Personally, I'm a train enthusiast and can't wait to see a functional rail system throughout the country. The only parallel you can draw between trains and gin is novelty, not usefulness. And usefulness is what is important.

Is this worth selling Nigeria to China for?

They give us shiny things and they take our land.

Power move.

This kinda reminds of when the Europeans first came and they brought mirrors and gin and Bibles, gave them to us and took everything...including our psyche as a people.

Today, the ripple effect is very evident.

Maybe by the time China is done with us, our official language will be Chinese and our children's children will learn to speak and write Chinese characters before they even learn their own mother tongue.
You're seriously comparing gin and mirror to trains?

Why do we get erections from optics? Excited Buharists will be cheering ; calling this achievements! Yesterday, Bashir even claimed Burns Boys new album as an achievement for the administration.

These railways lines are economically unviable and cannot even earn the money to repay the loans taken to build them! They had to double the prices of tickets on the Abuja to Kaduna line to try to break even...
As long as the focus is on passenger trains and they ignore connecting the south East with the other cities; you’ll have beautiful nonsense

Modified:

For those devoid of understanding; when I say connect the SE; I am talking about for the purpose of moving what they manufacture. Same goes for connecting other commercial centers across the country to the ports and target markets and not building a railway line from Abuja to Kaduna with beautiful stations everywhere!! This will not pay off the loans!!!!!
Good points. Attention should be given to commercial hubs. I'd like to see train links between industrial hubs in SW and SE - Aba-Ogun-Lagos, PH-Nnewi-Lagos, etc. I can't see the strategic thinking behind the Warri-Ajaokuta link, for instance. But I disagree with you that passenger trains aren't important. With our huge population, passenger trains will repay loans as long as they're well managed. Abuja-Kaduna is always overbooked. Lagos-Ibadan will be the same.

You're probably missing the point.
They're not planning on releasing the vaccine to the public yet, it's still being tested of which his daughter is amongst one of those they used for the test, if everything works as planned before they'll then release to the public.
When I said it's quite "assuring" I meant there is every likelihood the vaccine test would come out positive.(he no go just carry nonsense give him picking make she drink)
Assuming she actually drank it.

He said it's been approved for use - that means they're giving it to the public. As far as Putin is concerned, everything has worked as planned. Don't think I have anything against them - I don't. I'm just concerned that they have not released the data from the trials they say the conducted for credibility.

It is NOT assuring. It is an emotional argument - see, they used my daughter. Once you swallow that, you're likely to stop asking the right questions you ought to ask. It's called a conjurer's trick. It's like the President of Madagascar drinking something on TV and people went gaga all over Africa. Today, Covid-19 is ravaging Madagascar. If Buhari drank something on TV and said it's okay, would I give it to my kid if it has no Nafdac approval? No.

NOC1:
Are they talking about being a lawyer or a barrister?

People mistake this two things, however I read where they said he went to law school, he might have, but didn’t pass, so you can’t see his name on register but that doesn’t stop him from answering a law graduate.

On his biography as pasted here, he never claimed to have graduated from Law School, he ended it at his University degree. If that’s what he has been using to work he has no problem.

Is just like an Engineering graduate who is not registered with COREN you have Engineering degree but you are not a registered Engineer but not human can stop you from saying you graduated as an Engineer from university.

I know same is applicable to pharmacy and Accountancy
Bolded is disingenuous. In Nigeria, every lawyer is a barrister. If you're a law graduate, you don't call yourself a lawyer until you pass the bar and get called.

Family › Re: At What Age Did Your Parents Stop Flogging You? by JuanDeDios: 6:21am On Jul 20, 2020
Mikkymilli:
In light of a recent trending video of a father flogging his daughter, a lot of people were of the opinion that she wasn't supposed to be flogged since she is 18 while majority (on twitter and nairaland) were in support of the father disciplining his daughter for going against his order.

On this note, I'll like to ask 'What age were you when your parents stopped flogging you?'
And also, 'What age do you think is the right age for a parent to stop flogging the child?'

As for me, I think i was 12 then. My mom would use different tools like garri turner, slippers, cane, etc. Looking back now, I know it was all to mould me into the gentleman I am today.
As for the second question, I think the flogging should stop before the child gets to senior secondary level so he/she won't develop an everlasting hatred for you (the parent) cos that teenage age can make or mar your relationship with your child. The child can be disciplined via other means, but not necessarily flogging.

The floor is open guys. What's your take on it?
Why do you think it's necessary to flog a child of any age?

OP...are u a lawyer/Law student...

I'm a Law student and I have few years b4 I graduate but as of recent..I've been discouraged abt the course...The course is great alright but it's not in demand and I'm not ready to spend 5yrs and spending more than 300k in law school and get paid 20k a month.. So I'm learning a skill that will make way for me...
One reason that made me give up on the law profession is the fact that Law schools in Nigeria are churning out thousands of Lawyers in a country that has legal apathy. They'll prefer to "leave the matter to God" than to fight it in court hence depreciating the demand for lawyers
Another thing is that it's very competitive.... from what I've heard ..it takes a while to get to top of the ladder in the legal profession..abeg..I wan make my Papa quick enjoy the fruits of his labour
And the third reason I gave up was that my roommates in the hostel don dey call me charge and bail grin. I don dey reject am..So a whole me..A Law graduate that spent 6 years in school will be hanging around the court and be shouting "Bros u get case"
I've already decided that I'll just get the cert for people to know that I'm a graduate..

Simply my opinion...Don't disturb me
Vianna:
I'm not a lawyer or student anyways. It's just a sorry situation honestly. I wish the mods like lalasticlala and Dominique could push this to the front page so more views and perceptions will flood in.
Oh, it's not just law. It's pretty much any course you read nowadays.

What has height, bow leg, K leg and teeth got to do with proper policing?
Being police is a very physical job. I agree teeth should have nothing to do with it, but maybe they have their reasons. My own is they should subject applicants to rigorous background checks like it is done in serious societies. Being police is not an all-comers' job.
