Mopping: Good evening, I am new here and I need your help and advice.
I am a 3rd undergraduate student going for IT (SIWES) very soon and I will like to do it in the UK. My uncle owns a company and is ready to allow me work at his company. I am planning on going in on a tourist visa as against work visa due to the long process involved.
Do I need to wait till it is holiday time to go or can I request for a 6 months visa and do I need a letter from my school stating that I am a student of the school. This is illegal and your uncle can not employ you legally to work in his company. If you are caught you will be deported and your uncle will be fined £20,000. Just in case you don't know..you can not work or study with tourist visa or even rent a house even if your uncle is Boris Johnson |

blossom101: Hello Justwise and co. Great job here. Well done. Pls, I would like to know about an info pls. My cousin was jailed in uk for 10months in respect of sham marriage, after the 10months she voluntarily signed an immigration document to come back to Nigeria and she was given £1000 or thereabouts as at 2014. She went in with an Msc student visa and she finished her course before she got herself into the aforementioned case.
Here is the question, when can she apply again for uk visa. Is it after 5yrs or 10yrs? 1. Was she given any letter stating the condition of deportation or if she will be allowed to visit the UK again? 2. Did she pay for her return? 3. Did she establish anything with the money given to her then?(that is the purpose of that money) Personally I will suggest that she consider other countries for now...getting any visa to the UK will be hard but not impossible. |

sirgigs: Thanks Justwise for responding to some of my questions.
Okay, I want to be clear of this sponsorship stuff because in my Case my father is late and the only father figure we all know is this my uncle.
Thus;
*My Paternal Uncle sent me through the university since the death of my parents in 1998.
* This was done by paid rents from my fathers estates into a bank account then Uncle writes us cheques as the need arises. * Every December. during our family get together, details and copies of spending is presented to all children.
So Let your uncle transfer the whole money into your account(school fees and maintenance money) and start counting the 28days. |

zakmus: Good morning all I was refused a UK visit visa in August and I applied for a Swedish tourist visa which I was granted. I want to fly British Airways cos they have the cheapest ticket to Sweden My question is do I need a UK transit visa? With the flight itinerary it will have a layover of 2 hours at Heathrow airport
Please need your response asap Thank you all No you don't, the moment your flight landed at Heathrow airport you will be heading to boarding gate for your flight to Sweden. Heathrow airport is big so you need to start figuring out how to find your way to your connecting flight else you miss your flight. |

You knew that and still went ahead to give such advice? Did the op asked you to help him with how to deceive the embassy? |

LagosismyHome: Thanks........ are we saying in UK you cannot school based on family funds. Ie money gotten from Siblings or inheritance . The money required to show is a lot so i would have thought its ok to be sponsored by a sibling or uncle as long as the fund is in the applicants bank account
I wonder if paying the school fees before submitting the application will help Tie 4 student rule is very clear on that..only your mother, father or legal guidance can sponsor an applicant Paying school fees before submitting application will not make much of a difference because the school will still take their money during orientation anyway. Hardly will they allow you to pay by installment. |

fineyemi: Good day everyone
I will like to make an enquiry about how to obtain an international passport to the UK. Am been sponsored by some medical doctors in the UK because am having an health issue which has to do with my testis i.e banking of sperm .
Please what kinda visa will i apply for because my sponsor is telling me to finish with my final semester in school. And lastly, will i be able to work there or continue with my education b4 coming back cos right now, I really don't wanna come bk to Nigeria since am an orphan. Thank you so much If somebody is kind enough to sponsor you to the UK for medical treatment don't mess it up by abusing your condition of visa. If need to apply for standard visiting visa and under sub-type you select medical treatment You can't work, study non live legally in the UK with such visa and it will be a slap on the face of those helping you. |

Suuz: You should have done a formal change of name when you were about to start using your real name, a change of name from your “agent given name” to your real name, it’s still not the right thing to do but you would have been covered. I don’t know about the date of birth part. I'm going to ban BS out of everyone of you coming up with these wacky dubious ideas. When you do change of name what happens to the biometric you submitted both during passport and visa application? |

Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by justwise(mod): 7:18pm On Sep 20, 2019 |
Broadenyourhori: If they got your bio-metrics at that time then basically you are stuck dude!
What you can do is:
-Do a change of name from the (old to the new). - Swear an affidavit for a new DOB ( old to new) - sort the dates****
Attach old and new when making application with a letter to explain what has happened.
Good luck! Brilliant idea right? How about going for blood infusion to add the list of your dubious ideas? |

If a man is travelling with his wife and daughter and the source of fund if asked is stated that his brother who is living in the UK sent it. I wonder if that would be an issue Surely it will be an issue |

Starmish: Lol...I knew you would go this way. I expected it. You are one of the naysayers I wanted to address.
Download a Schengen VISA application form and see if there is anything like that on it.
South Africa is even simpler and I got an e visa for Turkey. I know you won't believe but I can't help you.
When the testimony is full and I write you from the US, you'd still say perhaps I was smuggled into the US.
Yeye somebody. Why are you addressing me about the problem you caused for yourself? You got caught trying to abuse the visa and deported and 3yrs later you turned up to address me? I did i encourage you to abuse the visa? Did i comment on this thread when you started 3yrs ago? |
Travel › Re: Deported by justwise(mod): 12:01pm On Sep 20, 2019 |
Starmish: I didn't have to disclose them because I wasn't asked and I used a new passport!
This is just to emphasise that I have travelled to equally good countries and I didn't stay beyond the permitted time. In fact I left earlier than my VISAs permitted in most cases! I don't believe that non of those countries asked in their visa application form if you have been denied visa or entry to any country in the past. Or question about your previous passport number. You are here thanking God for doing the wrong thing.. We Nigerians really know how to abuse the name of God |

Starmish: UPDATE!
I told you guys its not over and that my God - the one I serve will not only forgive me but will also restore me! He has even confirmed that He will bring me out of the bondage I put myself in!
Anyway, since the unfortunate event that happened to me, I have travelled to the following countries:
a France (twice) b Germany c Turkey d Greece e South Africa f - I'm preparing to go to morocco and Singapore before year end
I just thought to update the naysayers and those who think it is over for me
I will be back and be better because my God will surely restore me!
Shalom! 1.Did you disclose your deportation during your visa application? 2. Did you apply with the same passport? |

LagosismyHome: Interesting comment in bold .... do they ask for source of money and how the money was made ?
Or the primary focus is just the ability to show you have the money for at least 28 days
Cc justwise Such questions do come about...who is sponsoring you and what do you do for work?...but not always the main focus. That's not to say that one shouldn't have a convincing answer to those questions |
