Good effort Hon. Minister. However most of the achievements centred on construction of buildings & procurement of equipment. No emphasis was made on training & re-training of medical & para-medical personnel. Postgraduate training including residency training should be commenced in all Federal Medical Centres in the country. The billions of naira sent to this centres as personnel, overhead & running costs goes down the drain because most centres are grossly understaffed & no form of training is going on. The working environment is uncondusive & medical & other clinical officers work as slaves because of the workload. Staff should be paid centrally from either the FMOF or FMOH to reduced the number of ghost workers in the system. The MDs of these centres should be closely supervised because most of them are running down the hospitals through corrupt practices & maladministration. |
Cowards! They have gotten back their voices. Some weeks ago they were not talking because of the fear of Boko Haram. I'm happy sanity has returned to the North. They should be grateful to the FG. |
The man is highly irresponsible. Why did he abuse the girl in the bush? I hope he is mentally sound. |
They died prematurely probably without raising a family. They died in the struggle to better the lives of Nigerian students. They shall be remembered for their good works. May their souls rest in peace. |
Multi-party system is still the best. Usually 2 strong parties always emerge like the Republican & Democratic Parties in the US. Electoral fraud is the major problem affecting our democracy. |
mascot87: It's high time we forget our past and move forward,we have a lot to achieve in this country than trying to allow our past to be a setback to our development.Even in a family,if he husband or d wife continue to talk about the past mistakes of each other, then troubles would always arise. We need to move forward please. We need issues that can bring about national development.Nigeria will be great again cos God will restore all our lost glory. The past precedes the future. Without addressing the problem of the past, the future is bleak. IBB is still alive. He should tell nigerians why he annulled the June 12 elections. |
The Tamil Liberation Tigers were a very popular terrorist organization until they were brutally crushed by the Sri Lankan Government in May, 2009. The Tamils are predominantly hindus. |
Inik: Damn!!!Have you confirmed the story? We are no longer in the stone age. Shun barbaric acts. . |
Dele Momodu is not in touch with reality. He wants to promote a Tambuwal/Amaechi candidacy in 2015. The arrangement has failed on delivery. Tambuwal can only became a presidential candidate in another party. His brand of politics is retrogressive. Amaechi is on his own. A man cannot be greater than his people. The South-South has a sitting President & are not interested in supporting a desperate politician to be a VP. The Middle-Belt, the South-South & the South-East are strongly behind GEJ. The South-West are more interested in controlling their region than in national politics. The North-East is presently unstable & needs to put her house in order because of the terrorist activities going on there. The North-West is now a political minority & needs to collaborate with other zones to achieve relevance. |
These demented & selfish elders are speaking for themselves & not the North. They are a bunch of cowards who are afraid to tell the truth. Perhaps they hope to benefit from the amnesty. They have lost all sense of reasoning & are no longer useful to the region. |
50calibre: Lots of lame quotes from Jonathan and his wife, how did these guys get into aso rock for goodness sake.I hope you are not jealous? Queens english is not a qualification for the presidency. |
jacobscros: dame patience should go back to school and take an english class. This is pitiful. This is the result of using merceneries to write exams in academic institutions. |
Hopeless, lazy, unpatriotic fellows seeking for assylum in Britain. |
xxyz17: **Who wants to be a millionaire with Frank Edoho**C- Give him a mic. |
Akpabio should be commended for infrastructural developments in some parts of the state. My concern is the cost of the projects & the absence of industries for job creation. The people are poor & have a high lifestyle. Because of poverty there is so much believe in superstition. |
jackbauersballs: This man is a Zombie. His brain is battered and bruised...even if he came back today, the stress of running a state government will scatter his brain finally...Semi-illiterate. Are you a physician? |
superior1: Maku is a well acknowledged id!ot who is fighting hard to remain relevant.I dont even read anything with his name these daysWhy abuse the Hon. Minister? The wise thing to do is to investigate & find out whether he said the truth. |
OBJ is an old war horse who needs urgent retirement from politics. Doesn't he have responsible children who can continue from where he stopped. He is now a confusionist. He don't have true friends. His kindred are afraid of him. He is very inconsistent & unreliable. He thinks that nigerians are not wise. If he thinks he is still relevant in nigerian politics, let him field a candidate & let's see whether he will win. |
Demdem: Shameless fools. Mimiko especially is a disgrace. Why can't he also release his own video.Mind your language, vagabond. Are you a governor? |
alaoeri: From the look of things is like the northerners are more brave, united than any other region in nigeria. See how this man is rubbishing awolowo talkless of Asari even calling him a boy & the next thing his co-northerners 'll rally around him & support his speech. Don't let's deceive ourselves northerners are holding us τ̲̅ȍ ransom.Don't be deceived. There is no longer a monolithic North. Every groups & persons are seeking their own economic interest. Their main problem is unproductivity & dependence on federation account for survival. God gave every man, race & tribe the brain to sustain themselves. You must not kill to eat, use of brain. |
kacheezy: And Ombatse? Omg! The FG is afraid of Baba Alakyo! The fear of the priest is the beginning of self defense. Those that went to arrest him did not live to tell the story. |
mc~evans:Are you afraid of a military coup? |
~Bluetooth:Mend are freedom fighters. |
peace-1:Is impeaching the President the right thing? Brother, think. |
oxford: You want an intelligence gathering contract made public!!?? #smh. where in the world do government discuss security intelligence issue in the public?I'm sure a lot of the legislators have underground dealings. I support any move that will tackle terrorism & reduce corruption. |
Ranks007: The city that offends the Creator nature must go hard on them....stop that Satanic street party you call carnival...Superstition & mental laziness are the greatest problems of a black man. |
I'm disappointed in our legislators. The anti-corruption & anti- terrorism bills have been awaited for years. What is the socio-economic benefit of the anti-gay marriage bill. Hypocrites! |
Gbawe: You could repeat this a million times and many would still not have the honesty or uprightness to admit the truth in what you say. We may hear ludicrous and unbelievable excuses such as how Tinubu had a crystal ball that told him where we would be today and that is why he pretended to fight for democracy back then.I'm not surprised that Dora Akunyili's role has not been mentioned. Because somebody sponsored NADECO he must be compensated by embezzlement of state funds? Most of the cowards that abandoned M.K.O Abiola & went on self-exile abroad are the ones enjoying the dividend of democracy. . |
OBJ the 'do or die' politician is not very relevant in the modern day Nigerian politics of one man, one vote. As an elder statesman, he should not heat up the polity. Sule Lamido is not the man. He abandoned M.K.O. Abiola after the June 12 elections in 1993 to became a minister in a dictator's government. How much internally generated revenue does his state produce in a month? He is a political light weight despite his age. Without the help of OBJ he couldn't have become a governor. Despite the large expanse of land, how much does Jigawa State contribute to the GDP through agriculture. Though Jigawa State is peaceful & devoid of the activities of Boko Haram, as long as the the neighbouring states are not safe, genuine investors will not be attracted to the state. |
The Bali-Serti-Gembu Road construction should be awarded to a reputable construction company. Most roads constructed in Taraba State do not withstand the test of time due to substandard jobs. |
madam_oringo: You did not win the election, you lost! The video evidence is there but a shameless PDP politician will say anything in their usual classless and shameless manner! Are elections results verified by videos? Verify your facts, please.. |
Evergreen4: Are the governors suppose to retain their seats after the declaration of the emergency rule? Somebody should please explain to me because to me this our president is just doing everything awkwardly. You are the one that is awkward. Read what the constitution says about state of emergency. |
