PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Embraces APC - See Photo by kinguwem: 2:53pm On Dec 22, 2013
What did these group of grandpas forget in office that they are so desperate to get back? They should have retired from partisan politics & became elder statesmen. The youths should be given opportunities to serve the nation.
HealthRe: Doctors Performed C-section On 41-week Pregnant Woman But Found No Baby by kinguwem: 2:04pm On Dec 18, 2013
This is a cock & roaster story. The woman is either psychotic or is trying to deceive the husband. The health workers are either quacks or grossly negligent of their duties.. It is a serious professional malpractice to open up a woman's abdomen for a caesarean section when there is no pregnancy. The health workers should be investigated.
Christianity EtcRe: MFM Launches Crusade To Close Beer Parlours In Lagos! by kinguwem: 7:04pm On Dec 10, 2013

EducationRe: ASUU To Meet Jonathan by kinguwem: 12:50am On Nov 25, 2013
ASUU has lost relevance. The earlier they call off the strike, the better. The future of our youths are at stake. All they are looking for is extra allowances.
PoliticsRe: Jalingo Town In Photos by kinguwem: 2:33pm On Nov 21, 2013
The person that posted the pictures is new in Jalingo. There are some fine places like the stadium, the secretariat, Taraba motels, the Mile 6 Housing Estate and some shopping malls. There are also some settlements that are worse than the market area.
EducationRe: ASUU Strike: Union Confirms NEC Meeting Did Not Hold On Saturday, Nov 16 2013 by kinguwem: 3:34pm On Nov 17, 2013
fasho01: If ASUU had made a statement about the 7-days mourning, all this wouldn't have happened. Don't know why they choose to keep everyone in the dark & cause all this raised hopes in the first place angry
ASUU is not in a haste to call off the strike because they shall be paid their salaries. Nigerians must change their orientation.

PoliticsRe: PHCN Workers Threaten To Strike, Give FG 4-day Ultimatum by kinguwem: 1:33pm On Oct 29, 2013
PHCN must be unbundled for there to be light in Nigeria. The FG must pay their severence allowances, but there is no going back on the privatization process.
PropertiesRe: Should A Man Live In A House Built By His Wife? by kinguwem: 4:26pm On Oct 28, 2013
It is wrong for a partner to undergo a project without consulting the other. This situation usually arises when couples don't trust each other or have ulterior motives. The extended family system does not help matters because a lot of relatives are dependent a fews others that are doing well. If everybody is up & doing, they will be no need to be secretive.
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will God Punish For Abortion? The Doctors, The Government Or The Women? by kinguwem: 3:15pm On Oct 27, 2013
nlMediator: In developed countries, doctors are not required to conduct abortion. Doctors specialize and a woman would be foolish to go to doctors that do not specialize in pregant women's issues (OB/GYN) to have an abortion. Even with that, there are clinics that specialize in abortion. I do not imagine anybody suing successfully against a doctor for refusing to conduct an abortion. The closest I know are pharmacists being sued for refusing to dispense prescribed abortion medication on the basis of conscience.
Abortions can be performed by gynaecologists & general practitioners. The main problem against legalization of abortion in Nigeria is religious fanatism & hypocrisy. Liberal abortion laws will expose to the public what is usually done secretly. The advantage of legalisation of abortion is the reduction of maternal mortality & complications of unsafe abortions. Relogious fanatics & moralists think that legalization of abortion will lead to promiscuity & increase in sexually transmitted infections which can be controlled by sex education & use of condoms.
PoliticsRe: Ex-colonel Who Led Yobe Boko-haram Attacks Arrested by kinguwem: 12:37pm On Oct 27, 2013
Wsdm: I pity the poor Nigerian army been killed everyday for an ungrateful country called Nigeria.
An ideological war have never been won through the gun, so Jonathan's method is archaic.
This war already have many faces;
* The boko haram boys,
* Those fighting back at the military for killing their innocent love ones,
* Those fighting the atrocities perpetrated by the military and
* The Ehejirika/Jonathan's political agenda.
What is your suggestion? Negotiations! The Israelis & Americans are experts in fighting terrorism. They don't negotiate with them, they take them down.
PoliticsRe: N32m Ransom Paid For Oronto Douglas’ Sister — MEND by kinguwem: 12:30pm On Oct 27, 2013
~Bluetooth:
That's Nigeria for you. Most of these people are commoners with no responsible background which is why they will make sure they loot as much as possible when they get elected / appointed for political offices. Corruption thrives when riff raffs are ruling because they have a lot of stuff to cover up in their miserable lives.
What of the elites with responsible background, are they also not treasury looters?
HealthRe: Life After A CS Delivery Is So Challenging? by kinguwem: 5:28pm On Oct 26, 2013
Several factors affect the outcome of a caesarean section. The outcome of an elective operation is usually better than that of an emergency operation because of better preparation. The experience of the surgeon & the standard of the operating facilities is very important. The indication for the operation, the clinical condition of the patient & other associated medical conditions e.g. Obesity, diabetes mellitus, chronic cough e.t.c. affects the outcome of the operation. Infected wounds are associated with wound break-down, longer hospital stay & pevic pains from adhesions.
PoliticsRe: Reps To X-RAY NDA Admission Process by kinguwem: 6:20pm On Oct 24, 2013
fkaz: With Religion and ethnicity @ play in governance, nigeria won't survive
I though federal character is about representation of states & geo-political zones. Is religious & ethnic representation part of federal character? Mediocrity should not be supported in any form.
HealthRe: 2 Die Of Exhaustion At Onitsha Bridge Traffic by kinguwem: 3:03pm On Oct 23, 2013
Tuntheycr7: Could I said that was a little negligence from the mother.
Mothers shud paid proper attention to their kids since they can only cry while in discomfort and cant talk.
RIP to both of them.
But why is our govt found it difficult fulfilling their promises?
The child was dehydrated. Mothers should give their kids enough water in warm weather. The mother was negligent. The child died from heat exhaustion.
Car TalkRe: How Was Your First Car Bashing Experience? by kinguwem:
In 2007 I was driving a Benz 230E from Jalingo to Calabar. I decided to follow the convoy of a governor close to Adikpo. While slowing down at a junction my car was hit at the back by a Honda Ala owned by a Hon. House of Rep. member. The best he did for me was to give me N15,000. What a stingy fellow? I still arrived Calabar safely. I spent about N100,000 to repair the car including re-painting. Since then, I don't follow conveys again.
HealthRe: Should Door-to-door Medical Personnels Be Trusted? by kinguwem: 8:52am On Oct 16, 2013
Most door-to-door medical personnel apart from those on routine immunization are quacks. They could be dangerous. Beware!
PoliticsRe: Labour To Strike If ASUU Issue Is Not Resolved by kinguwem: 8:27pm On Oct 11, 2013
The NLC has lost focus. Of what benefit is their proposed solidarity strike to the common man. Increased involvement of the private section in the funding of education is a solution to the lingering crisis. The lecturers have piles of degrees but no initiatives to regenerate resources to run the educational institutions. Over-dependence on government subvention is a problem.
PoliticsRe: Mountain Of Fire And Miracles In Enugu Demolished. by kinguwem: 4:53pm On Oct 11, 2013
Coldfeet: Its unfortunate that people will continue to suffer for what they no nothing about! Now the Church will be compensated and if not they just have to count their losses! Yet the person or ministry that gave the go ahead to build on a water way will not be sanctioned! He or she or them will simply continue issuing such permits and later the government will come and demolish!!! SMH where were they when the building was being constructed? The property owner shouldn't suffer alone whoever issued the permit to build there should be held accountable as well!! Cos the land ministry has the blueprint of any area and should know where to build and where not to.
Did they verify from experts before building on a water channel?
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah To Fani-kayode: Bow Your Head In Shame by kinguwem: 5:21pm On Oct 09, 2013
Most plane crashes are due to pilot error followed by mechanical failure. The major problem with the Aviation Ministry in Nigeria is the lack of rapid emergency response when there is a disaster.
EducationRe: The Deplorable State Of Infrastructure In Nigerian Universities (Photos) by kinguwem: 10:28am On Oct 05, 2013
Most University Administrators are not resourceful. Apart from looting government subventions they don't know what to do to attract sponsors to their institutions. They is no advantage in appointing a professor a VC. They should be returned to the classrooms while seasoned administrators should be appointed to run the universities.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan - Boko-Haram Cant Frustrate Nigeria by kinguwem: 11:53pm On Oct 01, 2013
Donmams: We know BH cannot frustrate Nigeria. What we don't know is what are you doing Mr. President, to frustrate Boko Haram?!
Security is everybody's business. The Northern elders unwittingly invited terrorist to their region during the post-election violence in 2001. Dislodging them will take years. All hands must be on deck to achieve any meaningful success.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan’s Nigeria At 53 Speech - Full Text by kinguwem: 12:00pm On Oct 01, 2013
The North-East is a failed zone. Gideon Orkar was right. The earlier the Zone is ostracized, the better.
PoliticsRe: Pictures Of His Friends Killed In Yobe College Of Agric. Attack by kinguwem: 10:14am On Oct 01, 2013
Why does a group of people who cannot take care of themselves want to rule a country! Reigion without education is barbarism. Any group of people that shun knowledge is cursed. This is their true colour. GEJ & the FG is trying seriously to reduce the illiteracy rate in the North while the barbarians are destroying the future of the youths. Tomorrow some irresponsible elders will say they are agrieved. The evil that men do lives with them. God will punish these barbarians & their sponsors. Nothing good shall come out of them & their offsprings. They shall die horribly & the dogs & vultures shall devour their corpses.
PoliticsRe: Will You Rate President Jonathan's Media Chat Poor Or Impressive? by kinguwem: 5:54pm On Sep 30, 2013
Caleboha: Nigerians celebrate mediocrity. We hold tribal and religious affiliation dear. Many of southern extraction believe he did excellently even though they know deep within them that they exude more confidence, poise and intelligence than their commander in chief. They give him no room for improvement as they insist he is excellent despite obvious lapses. I miss OBJ. It was swt fun bk then. I held no fears of my president embarrassing me on national TV undecided
Has Nigeria ever had a President nigerians were proud of before? We are use to abusing & embarassing our leaders. For record purposes, GEJ has performed more than previous leaders despite the security challenges.
PoliticsRe: Revenue Shortfall: Fresh Crises Brews Between Jonathan And Govs by kinguwem: 5:32pm On Sep 29, 2013
utumunta: This is a good development! Let the states begin to learn how to be self-dependent. Now, we know why a section of the country are proponents of "One Nigeria". They cannot sustain themselves without the free oil money from the FG.
Lagos state govt survived without allocations from the FG, when Obasanjo witheld it for over a year.
On fiscal federalism we stand!!
I support you absolutely. The governors are like beggars who go to the FG to get their meal. Fiscal federalism is the only way forward. How can a country have a large population of unproductive people including learned persons? As far as I'm concerned apart from few of them, the state governors have nothing to offer the people.
PoliticsRe: Students Killed As Boko-Haram Attacks College Of Agriculture In Yobe. by kinguwem: 2:30pm On Sep 29, 2013
franchizy: In as much as I do not support the killing, I have said it over and over that the declaration of state of emergency or military option is not the panacea to solving the Boko Haram menace.
I have made my stand clear to the FG to liase wit the Northern Elders forum, grant the Boko Haram Amnesty, release all detained members of Boko Haram.
There is need to also involve the Christian Association of Nigeria because 60% of Boko Haram members are chriatians from the South East, South South and South West.
We must realize that Islam is a religion of peace, muslims don't shed blood, kill or involve in unlawful act. The killings in the North is just a game plan to tarnish the norths image.
You're on your own. You're not well informed about the dreaded group. You need to be educated about the international terrorist organization.
PropertiesRe: Lawyers Please Advise On How My Deceased Father’s Property Can Be Shared by kinguwem: 3:44pm On Sep 28, 2013
This problem exists because your father did not write a will. All parents should be encouraged to do so. What was your father's instructions before he died? Your mother should answer this question. Usually in most cultures, the first male child is the administrator of the family estate if a man died inestate. However, if a family is united, a sharing formula can be adopted after a series of meetings. Finally, no property is worth dying for. If you work hard, you can get one.
