Car TalkRe: Reliability Of Mercedes Benz C240/c320 by kinguwem: 8:16pm On Sep 27, 2013
elite: Dats quite interesting. Kindly comment on the effectiveness of the a/c.
The a/c is chill. It has what is called climate control. It enables you to regulate the ambient temperature of the car.
The acceleration of the C320 is superb. It can accelerate from 0-100Km in 6 seconds. Each of the car's 6 cylinders has a pair of spark plugs. This is the reason it has a higher fuel mpg than the other models. The sight of the engine is awesome. Unlike the other C class models, the car has a dashboard diagnostics that enables it to detect faults in the car. Night driving is lovely because of the bright & clear headlamps.
The best aspect of the car is the compact sexy look.
PoliticsRe: Zamfara Women Protest Over Husband Scarcity by kinguwem: 7:28pm On Sep 26, 2013
The women will continue to remain poor & hungry until they accept to be educated. Illiteracy & religious fanatism is what is retarding their progress. Marriage is not a job. They need a re-orientation.
PoliticsRe: Senate To Dump Biometric Central Motor Registration (BCMR) by kinguwem: 6:31pm On Sep 26, 2013
The NPF should liaise with the FRSC & licensing offices to get data on motorists. The Police has a statutory duty to fight crime & shouldn't transfer their responsibility to the masses. If the previos ECMR was abolished, what is the need of the BMCR?
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Approves Pensions For Colonial Officers by kinguwem: 5:55pm On Sep 24, 2013
What is the differnce between paying retired colonial officers & retired military leaders? What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
PoliticsRe: Obama Meets With President Jonathan In US (Pictures) by kinguwem: 5:10pm On Sep 24, 2013
payless: American Presidents only meet with world's respected leaders at the Whitehouse. It is disrespectful to meet a Nigerian President at Waldorf Hotel for few minutes.
They must be pals to meet in a hotel. This implies they may be close friends.
PoliticsRe: Michael Anthony Who Saved A Baby From Fire, Dies by kinguwem: 4:56pm On Sep 23, 2013
May his soul rest in peace. If we had leaders with his spirit, our country would have been a better place.
PoliticsRe: Governor Hides Jonathan’s One Term Pact Document by kinguwem: 4:29pm On Sep 23, 2013
Ngwakwe: It's quite unfortunate that our politicians from the North started heating up the polity from day one of GEJ presidency and have continued till this day.

These Northern Oligachs never wanted GEJ to do well no matter the circumstance.
A man cannot perform if his brain is not functional. That is the problem with some of the governors.
PoliticsRe: FG Orders Withdrawal Of Diplomatic Passports From Senators And HOR Members by kinguwem: 4:40pm On Sep 22, 2013
What urgent issues do legislators address abroad apart from moving with estacodes & taking hard currencies abroad. What do they need diplomatic passports for?
Christianity EtcRe: Christians- Do You Follow Your Pastors Teachings? by kinguwem: 2:10pm On Sep 22, 2013
Most christians that put their trust in their pastors & their teachings are corrupt. They are also spiritually, mentally & physically lazy. The word of God as written in the bible & its universal application for the wellbeing of mankind is the standard. The bible says that charity begins at home. Most pastors try to dissociate their congregation from their families so as to take firm control of them. And most of them use this means to extort them of their resources. Establishment of churches is now a booming business because of the financial benefits. A lot of fake pastors are involved in 419, theft, kidnapping, rape, politics etc. to earn a living. Obviously a lot of them were not called by God into the ministry.
PoliticsRe: NLC And Trade Unions To Embark On strike On Tuesday. by kinguwem: 5:18am On Sep 17, 2013
Most states & local government employees are unproductive. Why must they be paid as federal workers? Minimum wage should be removed from the exclusive to the concurrent legislative list.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi, Akpabio Clash Again At Reconciliation Meeting by kinguwem: 5:10am On Sep 17, 2013
Amaechi should be careful. Who is he to talk to my governor unpolitely. If he is not corrupt, why are they insisting that they should not be investigated by EFCC? He will continue to a slave to his masters.
PoliticsRe: Baraje-led PDP Fast & Pray For ASSU Strike To Be Resolved by kinguwem: 8:56pm On Sep 16, 2013
The Baraje led New PDP has nothing to offer this country. They are a bunch of expired politicians. The ASUU strike is persistent because the lecturers are not resourceful. Why are they called intellectuals. Research & patent rights are untapped sources of revenue for our ivory towers.
Car TalkRe: What Car Speed Can You Comfortably Maintain? by kinguwem: 8:16pm On Sep 16, 2013
With my C320 mercedes sedan I cruise with ease at a speed of 140-180 Km on any clean road. It negotiates corners with ease even at a speed of 140-160 Km. It accelerates from 0-100 Km/h within 6 seconds. The ride is a machine.
PoliticsRe: Northern Govs In Jonathan’s Camp Are Deceiving Him –shehu Sani by kinguwem: 4:05pm On Sep 15, 2013
STUPENDOUS8888: I am from middle belt and I can say that we do NOT like Jonathan here!

He is too daft and foolish. What has he done for us? Nothing!
Who is more daft? Is it GEJ or some of your people. Presently, Taraba State has both a Substantive Governor & an Acting Governor. Nassarawa State is boiling because of a cult group. Plateau State has not known peace for ages. Has any of your leaders rose up to the occasion. Mind your language, fool.
PoliticsRe: Kwara Speaker Rejects Police Aides To Protest Removal Of Saraki’s Security by kinguwem: 2:44pm On Sep 12, 2013
His protest is of no consequence to me. He should also forfeit his security vote. They should not be entitled to more that a police orderly.
EducationRe: ASUU Foresees Increase In Fees, If Demands Not Met by kinguwem: 2:34pm On Sep 12, 2013
I'm disappointed in the professor. School fees are not the only source of revenue for universities. Our universities lack funds because the lecturers are not involved in productive research activities. Most of the lecturers became professors through retrospective paper studies. This is evident in the quality of graduates produced. The issue of appointment of VCs should be taken seriously. Most of them are not resourceful. According to Prof. Nebo, universities have the capacity to be self-sustaining.
PoliticsRe: Beg Obasanjo & Be Saved- Fani-kayode To Jonathan by kinguwem: 3:19pm On Sep 08, 2013
Femi Fani-Kayode has always been a boot licker & will continue to be one. Who is his master? The problems of Nigeria is persistent because of people like him. The country will be better if we stop worshipping mortals. OBJ is not God & is one of the persons that have underdeveloped Nigeria. OBJ had lost relevance in politics the moment he lost elections in his ward. He should retire from politics before he is finally disgraced.
EducationRe: NANS Threatens To Shut Down Private Universities Over ASUU Strike by kinguwem: 11:28am On Sep 06, 2013
ABU GEORGE: Our education system is collapsing and students are at home while our president is busy fighting for 2015. Do jonathan even have conscience for d poor or student. Is a pity dat president dont have our time
The lecturers too are not innovative. They should study how the universities abroad run their systems. University administrators should be creative. Universities lack funds because lecturers are not involved in meaningful research. They write papers mainly for the purposes of gaining promotions to get more wages. There should be an attitudinal change.
PoliticsRe: PDP Crisis: Jonathan Tells Elders To Shun Obasanjo by kinguwem: 11:02am On Sep 06, 2013
justhelp: Now I know that truly GEJ is heading to the doom, he can even be disgrace out of aso rock
That is your own minority opinion. I doubt the relevance of OBJ in modern day politics. The situation in Ogun State refers. The best he did was to collect power from his masters. He wants to return power back to the caterpillars. He will not succeed.
PoliticsRe: What Atiku And The 7 Governors Did Not Know. by kinguwem: 8:29pm On Sep 02, 2013
hillsate: The 6 Governors forming the new PDP are seasoned politicians.
Remember they were thesame Govs meeting prominent Nigerians in the name of reconciliation.
You think they were doing reconciliation? These guys were purely scheming.
Their working out of that PDP convention was planned well ahead of time and it was for effect.

They were thesame Govs who played the Jang card and left him hanging.
Out of the 23 states controlled by OLD PDP, 7 have been lost leaving them with 16 states.
All these was done to prove to GEJ that 2015 is not uhuru for him
Desperate, frustrated politicians. They have nothing meaningful to offer.
PoliticsRe: Confusion In Taraba Over Suntai's Resumption As Governor by kinguwem: 7:57pm On Aug 28, 2013
Governance in Nigeria is all about making money. The situation in Taraba must be managed cautiously to avoid a religious war. The Nigerian constitution empowers Suntai to continue as governor despite his handicap.
PoliticsRe: Group Wants Suntai Impeached by kinguwem: 7:32pm On Aug 28, 2013
If Mr. John Ambulus has guts, he should come & address a rally in Jalingo. He is ignorant about the constitution. President Roosevelt had polio & was paralysed from the waist & below. He was on wheelchair & was elected President of the USA. The people of Taraba need Suntai even though he has some physical challenges which is not abnormal following a head injury. He may recover fully.
PoliticsRe: Suntai Dissolves Cabinet Amidst Controversies by kinguwem: 6:51pm On Aug 28, 2013
Frank-C:
What exactly is legally treasonable about what just happened? Learn to isolate 'how you feel' from facts before you when you want to reach conclusions. The consititution we are operating empowers him to resume his office by just writing a letter to the HOA when he returns. This letter is only a notification that he has resumed, not a permission. Besides, the guy may be physically weak but mentally and psychologically strong. Neither you nor I are doctors or psychologists to de-certify him. Even if doctors or psychologists must do this, there are legal ways to go about it.

Again, he was elected by Tarabans to be their governor. When they are tired of him, the law demand that they should prevail on their HOA members to impeach him. He was away for 8 months and the HOA could not even raise the motion.

Politically speaking, sacking his cabinet is a very strong political statement, indicating who is the Governor. He needs to press the reset button and reassemble his team.

Finally, Nigerian law does not seem to be against the physically challenged running for an office. It is actually against mentally challenged taking charge of Taraban affairs. For now, the doctors has not confirmed Suntai to be mentally challenged.
Your comment is thought provoking. The Speaker of the TSHA made a blunder by demanding the Governor to appear in the House. It shows the calibre of leaders in the state. He has no business in the House.
PoliticsRe: Lawyers Demand That Governor Suntai Steps-down by kinguwem: 6:05pm On Aug 28, 2013
I'm not surprised the lawyers are confused over a simple issue. They have suddenly woken up from sleep. Governor Danbaba Suntai has not been certified unfit by physicians. Walking with support is not incapacitation. If they are conversant with history, a former USA President, Franlin D. Roosevelt ruled America on a wheelchair.
PoliticsRe: Should Suntai Be Approved To Resume As Governor? by kinguwem:
adorablepepple: seriously,i don't think suntai is fit to resume his office. He is still not well balanced,if he is allowed to resume he will give orders from the comfort of his room.

A governor is suppose to be up and doing,so he can over see the affairs of the state. I trust nigeria, they will keep visiting him for two months over his arrival and survival. My opinion is that he should sit down and relax while capable hands handle the affairs of the state.

My fellow nairalanders what do u think drop your wise opinion.
Your concern is appreciated. However, like most politically docile nigerians you are shying away from your responsibility. The constitution states clearly the process of declaring a state governor incapacitated. Contact your legislator & find out why they are silent about the issue.

PoliticsGovernor Danbaba Suntai Back In Jalingo by kinguwem(op): 5:29pm On Aug 25, 2013
Governor Danbaba Suntai arrived Jalingo this afternoon. There is jubilation and heavy security presence in Jalingo. An helicopter is presently hovering in the air to announce his arrival.
PoliticsRe: Ask RMAFC To Slash Our Wages – Reps by kinguwem: 1:18pm On Aug 22, 2013
The jumbo pay of the legislators was not fixed by the RMAFC. They manipulated their wages. That is the reason details of their pay slips is not made public. Nigeria needs a parliamentary system of government.
PoliticsRe: House Rejects Part-time Legislature Proposal by kinguwem: 1:10pm On Aug 21, 2013
Samoo01: ‘‘The American democracy could be said to be on
autopilot yet, they have not experimented with a
part-time legislature.’’

Far from it. United States Congress is even more divisive and acrimonious than ours. They're also very corrupt but with a different approach (See: Louisiana Purchase, Cornhusker Kickback and Insider Trading for instance)

I don't think part time legislative proceeding is what we need. Au contraire, the system we need is a parliamentary cum provincial system of government modelled in tandem with Australia and Canada.
You are correct my brother. The bicameral legislature is too expensive & ineffective for our democracy. The parliamentary system of government will reduce the cost of governance.
PoliticsRe: ASUU Strike: Jonathan Approves N400bn Lifeline –SSANU by kinguwem: 11:37am On Aug 19, 2013
Mubby4luv: This time around, it is not only by giving university money, but it willbe monitored to ensure that the money is used to transform the universities angry
Lky its the first tym am hearing this words
I support your comment. Nigerian university lecturers lack innovation, initiatives & are not resourceful. The necessary funding can come only from research.

EducationRe: FG Can't Meet With ASUU Demands - Okonjo-Iweala by kinguwem: 7:25am On Aug 14, 2013
ASUU should look inwards & see how Universities can generate revenue. Research is the key. Universities should pay lecturers according to their resources. The universities are running an unproductive system. The administrators must sit up.
