payless: This is all about arm twisting for delegate votes in Kwara State. The current Kwara state governor is put there by Saraki. The current governor is willing to give the delegates to a northerner which Jonathan needs. Saraki must fall in line or else.Is it proper for the ex-governor to be paid N100m monthly? |
The governors' forum has lost its relevance. All the state governments are parasitic federating units because the governors are not creative & innovative. The masses donot feel the impact of monthly federal allocations. The forum has became a self-preservation pressure group. |
emmysenior: All these useless pastors tarnishing the image of christianity. Woe betide thee all.Ibori is a convicted criminal serving jail term in Britain. In Nigeria he was acquitted & disharged by a high court. Now a pastor has asked us to emulate a criminal. The pastor is interested in tithes & offerings, |
This is one of the reasons the abolition of the NYSC programme is being advocated. The cultists may be unknown but God knows them. For destroying the life of another, they shall be cursed all the days of their lives & they shall die shamefully. |
deols: This is a big Lie.Nigerians are gullible to fable tales. We depend so much on miracles. Anybody can cook up stories to defend a point. They are successes in artificial reproductive techniques (ART). People who can afford them should be encouraged to do so. The hiring of surrogate mothers is also part of the options. |
Joiz Aloy: You guys are criticizing him because you don't have the understanding of the bible. I will like to tell you to go back to the word, meditate it over and over again, go back and listen to his teaching and if you still tell me that he is preaching money it means you don't know the truth about the word of God. God does not want your money, He only wants to bless you through what He has given you. You are what you think. IF you keep on listening to a pastors that preach poverty, check yourself, your altar is very wicked! you will end up being a pauper. The way poverty will treat you, you will never like yourself. You knew not his pains that is why you can never understand his gain. Remember you can never get save while poverty is still tormenting you. Most nigerians are poor not because they don't believe in prosperity but because there are no jobs. Also, a lot of rich people are wealthy not because they are blessed but because they are corrupt. Prosperity preaching is a hoax. Jesus Christ did not preach worldly prosperity but heavenly prosperity. He advised believers to store their treasures in heaven. |
Our heavenly father, we pray to thank thee for enabling us to witness another session on nairaland. We pray that you should give nairalanders wisdom & make us agents of change, progress & development. We pray that you should enable our leaders to shun corrupt practices, religious fanatism, tribalism & nepotism. We commit our prayers in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen. |
Yungwizzzy: half of those results are failed. so the people just forget am for weacNa correct stuff we you move so! |
The opposition is confused and their leader, Gen. Buhari has lot focus. Buhari failed when he refused to condemn the post-election crisis & when he disappeared during the climax of the terrorist activities of Boko Haram. As far as I'm concerned they are cowards lookings for cheap publicity. |
Ideally a federation consists of a federal government & the federating units (states). The local governments are part of the states. Nigeria has a perculiar problem. All the states & local councils are dependent on the federation account for sustenance. The state governors have been noted to tamper with funds meant for the councils necessitating agitations for local government autonomy. The bone of contention is control of revenue. Unless corruption is eradicated, local goverment autonomy will not translate to good governance at the grassroots. |
~Bluetooth:The use of the word 'killer' for a man who has been acquitted & discharged by a court is character assasination. |
baby_123: Collateral damage from stolen funds. Well it happens everyday, we are now used to it. The presidency can as well get used to it too. After all GEJ doesn't give a damn.Has the cause of the accident been ascertained? Was it due to bad road, driver's error or a mechanical fault? |
kollyk4u: Eeyah, may her soul rest in peace. This should teach the selfish politicians a big lesson cos everybody will eventually die one day.A typical superstitious black man. Mama was not a politician. Mama was killed by a reckless driver. |
U235weapongrade: 4th in line to the throne....congratz to the house of WINSDOR3RD in line to the throne & not 4TH. |
I'm disappointed in our electoral process. Everything is about money. The way it is, no credible candidates except money bags (irrespective of the source of money) can vie for elections. |
Honesty is a rare attribute of the NPF. The officer deserves special commendation & prayers to encourage him to maintain the good character. |
Bolt2011: I think what he needs now is freedom from his Poverty mentalityThe problem is not just poverty. The psychological effect of the imprisonment has made him to lose faith in the system. He needs counselling & reassurance, moral, spiritual & financial support. |
Senator Mark & his colleagues are hippocrites. They condemn gay marriage but support child marriage. Who are they deceiving? They shall be judged according to their deeds. |
I admire the couple for their honesty. God can reward a family babies through IVF. Some will claim it is a miracle to deceive the public. Pastors are not helping couples with subfertility. They encourage them to sell their property & sow seeds in the church instead of advising them to go to a fertility centre where their problems can be solved more objectively. |
Religious & superstitious belief is retrogressive to the orientation & mentality of the black man. Sickness is better managed in the hospital than in a church. Some religious leaders don't usually give their members the right advise because they are ignorant of the advances in medical sciences. With the use of ARV's, PLWHA can live a normal life. |
Rivers State is the largest on-shore oil producing state in the country. The governors know that a crisis in River State will jeopardize their monthly allocation. Where were the governors when Boko Haram was terrorizing the North? They should remove the log in their eyes before removing the speck in another man's eye. In as much as we condemn the anti-Amaechi group, Amaechi should not sit on the fence. If he wants to join APC, he should be bold enough to leave PDP and stop heating the polity. It is obvious his people are uncomfortable with his recent political alliance. |
Major Al-Mustapha aquitted & discharged. Who killed Kudirat Abiola? |
CFCfan: Exactly. Primaries are part and parcel of the democratic process. In the US, the Parties hold primaries even when d incumbent President is running for re-election.Incumbent US Presidents seeking re-election do not contest party primaries. |
Afam4eva: The truth is that, a coup in Nigeria is the fastest way to disintegration. I don't see Nigerians being under a coup anymore. Nigeria is too big for that.I support you totally. Though Egypt is more developed than Nigeria. Nigeria is more advanced politically. Democracy is the modern means of governance. A military coup is an uncivilized means of solving a political dispute. |
Abdominal pregnancy is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy in which the foetus develops in the abdominal cavity instead of the uterine cavity. The foetus can reach term but usually suffer from compression injuries. We have seen 3 cases in FMC, Jalingo over a period of 7 years. It usually results from dislodgement of a developing embryo from the uterine cavity through a rent in the uterine wall into the abdominal cavity from procedures such as D&C. |
The common causes of road accidents in Nigeria are bad roads & use of vehicles that are not road worthy. The FRSC cannot dissociate herself from the high number of reckless drivers on the roads due to the way driving licenses are issued nation-wide. Best international practises should be used to punish road traffic offenders. Jailing of traffic offenders is barbaric & undemocratic. The FRSC should work with the FMOW to make our road safer by putting caution signs on the bad segments of our roads. |
The doctors have a genuine reason to go on a warning strike. Why do polticians & wealthy nigerians go abroad for medical treatment? Every day there are appeals for donations on the dailies to raise money to take indigent patients abroad for expert management. The demand of the doctors if successful shall have a multiplier effect on the wellbeing of nigerias & the economy. |
T. Y. Danjuma is like a biblical prophet who is not honoured at home. He & his cohorts including OBJ, Murtala, MKO, Yar'Adua etc. contributed to the decay in the polity. They brought the concept of tribalism & diversion of public property to personal use. This concept is the basis of corruption, inter-tribal & religious wars & terrorism. He has secured the future of his children & wasted that of others. Though I commend him for his philantropy, all undue wealth in his possession should be returned with interest to the State. If he is interested in restitution, he should do it properly. |
Shame unto the cowardly hypocrites. The elders were afraid of belling the cat. They should be burying their faces in shame. The youths have taken the bull by the horn. Boko Haram has met her waterloo. I wish the youths success in this war. May God bless & protect them. |
idnoble135: Some one need to tell this folks that the man didnt make the decision. The people chose to honour him. Its like if a relative dies, you could just bury him with about six people in attendance. But if he is dear to you and impacted you, whats wrong if you decide to honour him by "celebrating" his home going. To me, i would not consider the idea of gold casket, cos i dont really know much about him and his impact. But let the people be, even if they want to bury him in jupiter, is it your money? ITK worries some folks here. Some people shall be levied to generate the money. Others will sow seed & make sacrifices for Papa to be given a befitting burial. At the end of the day the burial committee shall declare profit for the church. I hope they are really christians because Jesus said, 'let the dead bury the dead'. That statement is food for thought. |

omoabike: Primary Health Care according to WHO is essential heath care based on practical, scientifically sound and socially acceptable methods and technology made universally available to individuals and families in the community through their full participation and at a cost that the community and the country can afford to maintain at every stage of their development in the spirit of self determination. You have summarized the subject matter. Your contribution should be carefully studied by stakeholders. |

. The money for the road is in his bank account. I hope it can bring mama back.
