Question: why is terrorism synonymous with muslims? Answer: Acts of Terrorism may have been carried out by people of all religions, race and ideological persuasions in the past but in this day and age most Acts of Terrorism are carried out by muslims. Terrorists like the baader-meinhof gang and the red brigade in the past never used 'god' or religion as justification for their acts. if they did maybe adherents of their religion would have been associated with terrorism. but terrorists like the ones we have today use islam as their justification and there is never any clear cut rebuke from the muslim community. |
sad. really sad. but hey, lets all remember that he is only a man. flesh and blood. susceptible to the same temptations that many of us face. it could have been any one. it could have been anyone of us. might not have been the same gay stuff. but sin is sin. it hurts but hey. all we can do is pray. pray for him. pray for our christian leaders. The God of restoration can restore. He did it for David. He can do it for Ted Haggard. |
lend my fullllll support |
for once a film [not home video] is shot in nigeria by nigerians. |

but why 5am?? na inside coven dem do the meeting? |
who would you rather have? someone who has been tried before and failed [eg IBB] or someone who has been tried on a smaller scale and performed excellently? |
Look at all the people aspiring to be president; who would you rather have if not duke. he may not be the best man for the job amongst the 150 million but among politicians, there are very very very few better [cant think of anyone rite no]. and finally we may get a president that looks good in suits. ![]() |
@Grouppoint Great Post. You said it like it is. @KDK would like to know your comments |
@Jayman I hope u are not one of them KJO's [King James Only People]. U make it sound as if the KJV is the only authentic translation. You said It is a tranlation from the original greek and Hebrew into English by assembl;y of scholars ordered by God through King James. But other versions were also translated from the original Hebrew and Greek like the KJV and also by a body of scholars. And scholars have pointed out a few mistakes in the KJV. In fact you should realise that the KJV was revised a number of times after it was translated. @Drusilla Why? These versions are not bad are they? I use the NIV and AMP and i enjoy both. what are your specific reasons? The Living Bible has always been a paraphrase we all know. Thats why The New Living Translation came on board. |
@TayoD I'm really impressed. Cant count all the things i've lent from your post so far. keep it coming. @TV01 You've impressed me too i must confess. you've really marshalled ur views well. i've always believed christians SHOULD be involved in politics, but your points made me rethink. Now i am certain. i totally agree with TayoD. |
@Leketoye If by 'Ghost' u mean someone who is dead and has he/her 'spirit' walking the face of this earth hanging out with people and acting like normal people, then you are talking about an absolute impossibility. If by 'Ghost' you mean a spiritual entity [most likely a demon], then theres a possibility. After a person dies HE/SHE DOES NOT COME BACK. NEVER. THE NEXT ITEM ON THE AGENDA AFTER DEATH IS JUDGEMENT. |
maybe we should get a definition of the term " Man of God" first before we get into more discussions. it seems we all have different definitions of the term. |
woleprof:And what if a 'pastor' embezzles money or allows some 419 guy to use his church for money laundering nko? |
u still havent explained what you mean by flirt. Flirt has different meanings especially in the Nigerian context. Do u mean he sleeps around? |
that,s why i love the church i attend. dem go tell u the truth ho ha say the 'spiri-spiri' part bo be am. by the time u go thru 16 weeks of counselling u sef go know how far. i thank God i've never moved in circles that over spiritualize marriage and male/female relationships. those vision things have never cut it for me. |
Depends on exactly what you mean by flirt |
@ enugu Nothing answers a question better than somebody talking from experience. God is on your side. |
I love Pastor Adeboye. Lately i've been listening a lot to Pastor Poju Oyemade of Covenant Christian Center. And whenever i get the Chance i also love listening to Pastors Paul Adefarasin and Yemi Amusan of House on the Rock. Oh yes i no fit forget Rev.Sam Adeyemi. |
what is the purpose of this topic? its like boasting with your pastor. when i talk to people i dont ask them what church they attend unless its absolutely neccesary. what has who your pastor ( i believe thats what is meant by 'your man of God') is got to do with what is right or wrong? does it mean that whatever your 'powerful' man of God does is acceptable whether its in conformity with the bible or not? the berean christians were called noble by Paul not becos they followed paul, but becos they weighed everything paul said by the scale of Gods word. comparing ourselves with ourselves is folly. that way we will not get to be whom God intends us to be. |
Resonance - Lee Lee [just ended] Tosin Martins - Olo mi [just started] |
@Raymand so u remember Willi Willi!!! Damn!!! those were the days Basi and Company wow! with Basi, Alali, Josco, Dandy, Segi and Madam the Madam all of Adetola Street Who remembers "House Number 13"?? i can still remember the theme song. what of koko close And that class room drama was called 'second Chance' and imitation of the BBC's mind your language Any waffi or benin peoples out there? remember hotel de jordan ![]() poor thing all this creativity was carried over to home videos |
i've been watching TV01, Havila and TayoD go thru this topic. I personally believe Christians should participate in Politics. They've taken God out of American Schools. Imagine if there were enuff Christians on the schools board. We as Christians should spread the word everywhere by any means neccesary and biblical. Why should politics be an exception? Yes the temptation to compromise is more than likely; but would the situation be like this if we had more christians involved? if say the Nigerian senate was 75% christian who would be under pressure to compromise? the 75% christian or the 25% non-christian? |
Numbers 23:19 explicitly states that God can neither lie nor change His mind. In 2Kings, God categorically told Hezekiah that He was going to die. However, Hezekiah prayed to God and God 'changed His mind' and gave Hezekiah 15 more years. Considering that it was during this 'extra time' that Hezekiah produced his heir Mannaseh [the worst King in the History of Judah] and entertained the babylonians [resulting in Gods resentment], why did God 'change His mind'? was this not contrary to Numbers 23:19? help me out here. |
belloti:last time i checked it was sunni muslims killing shiite muslims in iraq. muslims are just generally violent. every reaction is violent. some muslims who did not even see the mohammed cartoons just started killing people in kano. if ANY muslim can satisfactorily explain the killing of people in Kano in 2006 because of cartoons done in Denmark hundreds of miles away in 2005 for me, i go convert [beans?] |
quite simple really the greeks made their gods an image of themselves. their gods exhibited their lust, petty rivalry, intrigues, jealousy and vengeance. the moslem god is a mirror image of mohammed and his cronies. their idea of 'heaven' is a place to exhibit their sexual pervesions, lusts and gluttony. Notice how everything is tailored to satisfy the flesh of the average male? same reason why d muslim god condones violence, vengeance, mutilations and d likes. its just a depiction of mohammeds personality traits and temperaments. |
10. Mummy and Mummy Returns 9. Oceans 11 8. The Matrix 7. Tremors 6. The Insider 5. Face/Off 4. The Fugitive 3. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy 2. Brave Heart You can shuffle these ones above anyhow u like o, but the undoubted Numero Uno is 1. The Godfather |
i'm new to this thread and i didn't read it all [e too long] so some of my comments might have already been said. i've met quite a few cele people in my life. My maternal ralatives are all cele. I and my grandfather regularly discuss the bible whenever he comes in from the UK. However, some of their doctrines baffle me. the candles, 'ise', incense, the praying to or thru angels, the barefooted worship, the sutana, etc. they are all extra biblical. certainly extra new testament. in my opinion, practitioners of traditional african religions will find cele very compatable. |
2 Corinthians 8:20-21 [NIV] - 20 We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. 21 For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men. It is not enough that the church is doing things right. Us christians may have no qualms in the way offerings and donations are administered. efforts should be made to ensure that the church is above suspicion in the eyes of the world. |
I am married. i met someone, realised i loved her, then asked God for His opinion. God approved. And today i am happily married. Attraction? I am attracted to her. Not just because she is physically attractive [she is] but because i just enjoy being with her. i know i wouldnt have married her if i did not love her. if there was no love i dont think God would have asked me to marry her. and if He did, i wouldn't have heard. |
@Gwaine All I can say is thanks. You've defended our position really well. |
