When Sanusi said some of these CEOs deserves to be shot , i guess we now understand what he means. No sane person would see the list of properties this ugly greedy fat woman illicitly acquired and not want to at least give her a slap for each property she fradulently acquired. 190 billion is about $1.3 billion that is f***ing lots of money in any currency in the hands of one woman at the detriment of innocent depositors. Ultimate betrayal of trust i would say, worse than any armed robbery of every kind as it is like keeping your money in a bank (safest place) because you dont want robbers to rob your home or fire incident. Your money is then stolen in the safest people and you wake up a pauper the next day while the fat cow is flying in a private jet to her mansion in florida or cooiling off at her tens of houses in ikoyi. |
People screaming selective jsutice should think again and understand that a person accepts guilt herself and now a convict, she accepted to forfeit 190 billion naira herself without a judge having to prove her guilt. The bottom line is as long as an innocent person has not been convicted of fraud then there is no case for selective justice. 100% cleansing cannot be achieved in one day or by one person but someone has to start the process in which case Sanusi has started. The beneficial thing is these CEOs know that it is not business as usual and they are towing the line set to them by the CBN governor general. |
Sagamite:I remember Sanusi saying that in oceanics case 75% of the no9n performing loans were to her companies, whcih means she deliberately mismanged it to enrich herself. She was facing 25 count charge let us remember. Nigerians are the greatest enemies of nigeria. They scream corruption and when someone is convicted of corruption they scream persecution, witchhinting and whip all sorts of sentiments. Madoff in the US bagged life jail for his ponti scam, oceanic would have eneded up in distress if Sanusi had not intervened people forget this. |
The only annoyingthing is that she will not spend a day in kirirkiri but cooling off in a posh hospital bed at Reddington hospital. This woman's net worth would have earned her a place in forbes. She is soo greedy and heartless , 49 properties - about 15 houses in the US, 20 houses in ikoyi, thousand hactares of land in lekki I just wonder at 60 plus she thinks she would be immortal. There is noharm in having all these properties if you genuinly worked hard for it but using the akara sellers life savings to enrich yourself is a mega crime in the court of law and court of God. Cecila is a shame to womanhood , after six months wherever she goes people should shout ole thief thief at her. I gues that humilation will be a good punishment from the court of public opinion when the judge refuses to give adequate punishment. |
hymen:Good to know your fine and learning here. Please feel free to clarify issues you dont understand and queries you might have. May God guide us all. ![]() |
ifyalways:Aww the hadith is a wonderful and beautiful hadith which explains the organisational structure of a society in one sentence. From the leadership of a state to the leadership of a home to the leadershup responsisbility of even a servant. If everyone understands the weightiness of this hadith and responsibility the world would indeed be a wonderful place to live in. Nigerian leaders at every level from companies to govt to husbands would never abandon their people to enrich themselves. I could go on and on explaining thishadith and scholars can write pages and pages on this one hadith . I am happy you got the book be sure you would learn a lot , after that book step further by reading the ideal muslim society by the same author. May Allah bless him. The names are cool but i dont understand the meaning of jawal i would check though how about jemeel and jamal lols ![]() |
@Illusion Let us leave this issue for the time being because i am sure you know the very first doctrine in islam is the Oness of God and if your innermost heart would agree the quran would not then say otherwise and propose trinity when Allah said it clear and consise in Q5v 73 Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allâh is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilâh (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilâh (God -Allâh). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. Also in Q 4 v 71 O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allâh and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in Allâh and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allâh is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is AllSufficient as a Disposer of affairs. I hope reading this 2 verses would lay this issue to a rest inshallah. You could believe in trinity but you cannot justify trinity using the quran NEVER !!! And God Knows best |
@IFY How are you finding the books you are reading , behind the veil and the other one , i hope it is an interesting read. Let us know the final names u give them but in the mean time i will call you Umm AR2. I guess you know what it means ![]() |

Honestly i feel ashamed of my country deeply, about 25 lives have been lost dozen injured and our president chose to play politics with a terrorist act. What is the presidents business to come out to deny it wasnt MENDjust 24 hrs after the attack with MEND claiming responsibility. People with memories will remember the former spanish PM played this kind of politics went down for it, AL qaeda attacked and he blamed it on a local group ETA but it backfired and he lost the electionfew months after. The reason why i believe Okah statement is immediately GEJ made that statement on sat i said on this forum He his making a big mistake he could never recover from and here we go the drama is unfolding. IBB is evil we all know , Atiku is a thief we all know but to try to quickly blame a terrorist act claimed by some elements in MEND on IBB and Atiku is cheap politics. Dnt get me wron IBB could kbw about it but for GEJ to quickly insinuate that, 24 hrs after a blast without full investigation and in the middle of political campaigns shows the depth of intellectuallity in our current president. He might just have granted IBB some political points he doesnt deserve as people might just start to have sympathy for him. Nigerians we know are too forgiving. |
tpiah:Aunty wetin be your own sef nah , person say im husband be igbo u still dey remember what she metnioned a while ago wetin u won use whwere her husband com from do sef. I tire o ![]() |
@illusion You must have the muslims explantion before like bro Muhsin highlighted but let me quickly explain it again. The Quran wasnot revealed in english but arabic and no christian arab would ever ever use this arguement of 'we' to justify trinity. This is because yoruba is similar to arabic in some terms and etymology. When a king in yourba wants to adrees himself he says "awa npa yin lase" "We are commanding you" The 'WE" doesnt indicate there are two kings but a language of nobility and status. I n arabic Allah sometimes uses "Ana" (I) for himself ans sometimes uses "Nahnu" WE for himself signifying his status. In english it is called the Royal WEand was previously used by the royals centuries ago. Understanding the science of balagah(rhetoric) will enable us appreciate the variances in style when Allah uses I and WE, it depends on the context , situation and completes the poetical eloquency of the Quran which you can only appreciate if you understand tthe arabic language. That is why i said no christian strong arabic speaker would use the arguement of WE. Again Let us You and Me worship our one and only true God in whose hand is our soul , The lord of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad PBUT all. Let us worship him without associating partners to him in his majesty . I understand ibn fodio did not penetrate SW Nigeria but you could join the millions of white, brown, latino, chinese , black non muslims ebracing islam yearly. It is never to late good pal. Never say never |
Is this the kind of president Nigeria need at this time? Absolving MEND of a crime MEND says it carried out. Mr Goodluck is a weakling in my opinion and not fit to be a C in C. |
illusion2:My good pal The thing wey happen be say Ifys heart was illuminated and she decided to bow in submission to God without associating any partners in him and she was convinced about Muahmmed PBUH being the Prophet of God Likewise Jesus PBUH.I am patiently waiting for the day you will toe this path yourself inshallah!! ![]() |
ifyalways:Either way it is still AR2 lols. @uplawal I dont think anyone will diasgree with you on the point of mode of dressing , also i think i have addressed this issue on this thread on preceeding pages. The bottom line is the clothing should be loose so as not to reveal the shape of the woman ana a hijab to cover her bossom. The specifics Allah never mentioned in the quran- different cultures have different mode of dressing. And God knows best. |
ifyalways:Oh Wonderful! mashallah! Even me i am jealous now lols. May Allah make us all steadfast unto the rope of Allah. Decided on the names now? Tell AR to put you in the luggage when goin lols and leave AR2 with mama. lols |
ifyalways:LOLS, Yeah get your hands on it ASAP and dont forget "from my sisters lips". Jarus:Oga Jarus I think you have a point here, the trolls never give up and i must confess they almost frustrated me from this section of Nl except this thread. Anyway I leave the issue to the discretion of the mods as it was just a thought from me while thinking of the larger people that might benefit from the dawah. However we have to balance and weigh the benefits and harm. |
ifyalways:Your wish wish is respected, but it seems Muhsin has a point ![]() Thanks but theres really no need for alarm.Just like a newborn babe yearns for milk,im just yearning to know and understand more abt my Islam, when theres any conflicts or confusion,u know i wud come calling .I concur and submit may Allah grant you that deep understanding of his deen and endow with you unblemished knowledge stemming from his light which he guides whomever he pleases to. In that case please check out another book "The ideal muslimah" if you havent already. It contains almost everthing practical you need to know. Also a book "from my sisters lips" by Naima roberts a revert. It is sold here in the UK I am sure AR can get i get it . Abdul Rahman and Abdul Raheem is fantastic - Rahaman is mercy in this world and Raheem is mercy in the hereafter which is 99% greater than this worlds mercy. @Zahal Trust that i would or not discourage a muslimah from doing acts of ibadah . I was just threading a line of caution out of practical experiences. @Uplawal I really do not understand your point. did you mean Allah comanded muslim women to wear bubu? or tent? |
Mukina2 or Jarus could you post this thread on th main page , if Ify doesnt have any objections. Perhaps Allah might guide others to islam from her story. "Nairaland Curiosity that leads to conversion to Islam - Story of Ifyalways" This might be a good topic. others what do you think. |
ifyalways:I dey here o abeg i was a bit busy and not on NL. Accept my apology ![]() Now to books on veils , that book you layed your hands on i beleive is a good book on veil and there are a few others which i willtry to dig out for you inshallah. However , i would suggest to you to thread on a line of caution and read on other aspects of islam and concentrate a bit more on developing a strong love for God, purification of the soul and learning the basic "fiqh" to practise the five pillars of islam for a start. The reason why i said this is i have seen some new muslim convert who fell unto the hands of some over zealous muslims and these muslims made them concentrate on outer appearance (niqaab, beard, clothing etc) alone and in the end sisters started to cover their faces without really understanding the other basic fiqh of islam like ghusl. In the end after few months the sisters got choked and took off not only the niqaab but even the hijaab. Some even turned their back on islam . The bulk of the blame was on the muslim handlers who did not develop them un the love of Allah , islamic spirituality before the other super ragatory acts like niqaab etc. The veil as we all know is not compulsory on muslm women but what is compulsory is the hijab and not wearing figure hugging and tight clothing. Let us concentrate on the fiqh of salah, ablutuion, purification, practical women issues like mensturation etc and the seven conditions of the shahadah and we keep stepping up the knowledge inshallah. As regards names there is an hadith that says the two most beloved names to Allah are Abdullah (Slave of allah) and abdul Rahman (Slave of the most Merciful). However any of the 99 names of Allah or other names are all good. If you wish you could name the twins Abdullah and abdul Rahman as Allah has showered on you the greates mercy he can to anyone which is guidance. Also the prophet was called by Allah "mercy to mankind". |
Gratitude to Allah SWT who guides whomever he so pleases to his light and may his peace and blessing be upon the noblest of mankind PBUH. About 10/11 months ago IFY's curiosity started with "what is islam " and months later she is researching into the use of veils. Ify, by Gods mercy pronounced the shahadah in the blessed month of Ramadan, she accepted islam and now a full blown muslimah. Words cannot describe my joy and may Allah reward all those who made this thread a success. Special thanks to Jarus who kept this thread sane and pure. May this thread also serve as a means to illuiminate the hearts of others and guide them to the light of islam. May Allah accept the service of his humble slaves in the service to islam. |
violent:exactly as i have not been able to watch the thing online. |
Salam alaykum brother, Firstly i would like us not to sectionalize ourselves. Ahlu sunnah wa jammah is a general word that connotes a sunni muslim as opposed to a shia muslim. Ahlu sunnah includes our sufi brothers as well. We should also not fall into the pit of casting blanket negative opinion about sufis as majority of the scholars of old were people you would call sufi - imam Suyuti, imam nawawi, imam ghazalli RA etc. However there are also extreme suffis whose practices we would find unacceptable to the doctrines of islam. There are also extreme salafis whose practices we would equate to khawarij. In Nigeria i belive there are many good sufis on the sunnah and there are other muslims who might call themselves salafis on the sunnah as well. The most important thing is we are muslims and we follow the Qur'an and the sunnah of the beloved prophet PBUH. Now to your question , I am not well knowledgeable to answer your question as regards the kaffara. However from my lil understanding of islam any such thing said in terrible anger and not the right state of mind is not counted as you said it. Example is pronouncing talaq in a terrible state of anger and not really meaning it is not considered talaq especially if the husband quickly retracts it when he hisin his proper state of mind. The prophet said in a hadith "Talaq is not valid in case of ighlaq" ighlaq means a state of terrible anger. However having said this the prophet also said there are three things when said jokingly is not a joke but means it- Talaq, Marriage and freeing of a slave. So we need to appreciate the seriousness of issues regarding marriage and divorce. And God knows best. |
ifyalways:Alihamdulilah u had a great Jumah! Tell us the topic of the sermon though. Todays khutbah today was on "evils of backbiting" , funny it is something many muslims indulge in yet , it eats deep into our good deeds. May Allah strengthen us and help us refrain from backbiting and slandering. |
illusion2:You have to pronounce your shahadah first o oga and i will hand her hand over to you in marriage. ![]() |
azharuddin:The hadith is a beautiful one but we should be careful in its understanding and interpretation. The first part of the hadith does not apply to scholars of the deen as that is the purpose of scholars - to clarify and explain issues of faith not apparent. The hadith also says "most of the people " and not scholars. We as most of the people consult scholars on issues like this and we act upon the verdict . Secondly we should never forget that in issues of our wordly affairs (muammulat) everything is permissible until there is a text to prove it to be haraam and not the other way round. May Allah assist us and keep us steadfast unto the deen of Allah. And God knows best |
Eid mubarak to evryone. May Allah accept all our acts of worship and spare our lives to witness many more Ramadan. IFYalways thanks for the special greetings , May Allah shower on you and your family his inifinte mercies . |
Salam my sisters its been quite while and Eid mubarak to you all. special one to mukina2 long time no hear.Bismillah Arahman Arraheem Our new muslimah in the house Habeebah , islam does not really dictate how you should look within the confines of your home neither does islam dictates how you should look for your husband or mahram. Islam in fact encourages a woman to do many things within reason to look excellent and fashionable for her husband, islam reccommends a woman look pretty to drive her husband crazy in the house. Unfortunately many muslims out of ignorance have made haraam upn themselves what Allah has not made haraam upon them.Decorating the hair with wool or your natural hair is halaal according to three schools of though Maliki (limitation oof not extending beyond the normal hair) , Shafi and Maliki. Dreadlocks with wool will fall under the category above and the kind of hair in the pic by mukina has no problem at all as far as i know. Water will still touch the scalp and water will still penetrate the hair for ghusl. The thread below expantiates on the use of attachment and so on. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-321709.0.html One thing we should note however is that the beautified hair is not for the general public anyway and only for the people permitted to see it . Ify if you love dreadlocks and your hubby likes it please go for it by all means but prefferably use wool. On the issue of immitating the rastaferrians , there is a real problem here at all as the rastas hair is apparently very long dreads , dirty and there apparently rasta. The issue of immitating is a not very simplistc as we have to consider peoples culture etc in making rulings based on immitating. The dreads remember will be covered anyway. And God knows best. |
illusion2:You never know buddie , God could use different means including you falling for one of them pretty Qatari/Kuwaiti Arab princesses ![]() |
