bigtt76:He was popularly referred to as the 'Ugandan Giant' so I also thought he was from there. I wondered to myself why he was trying to portray Africans as cannibals and very backward people, but later found out it was just an act to boost his image. May his Soul rest in peace. |
veeshock:You get 5 Milla for pocket ? ![]() |
MrBrownJay1:I wonder why they did not go for Zidane when he left Real Madrid. Being a multiple UCL winner as a coach and also an ex Juve player would have been a nice combination. |
NerdyRudeGyal:I wonder if the Sister inlaw smiles mischievously at the Ops in the morning after the night show ![]() I agree totally with you, they can look for a room apartment close bye for her, but not in the same building, to avoid falling apart with the Sister inlaw due to the singles life she might adopt. |
Goke7:The service they render is okay, but data can still be made cheaper and faster |
caye:I don't agree with your summation above. When the telecommunication sector was deregulated under the President Obasanjo regime, a minute call rate was about N50 per minute, though you will be still be charged the full N50 whether you make a call of 10 seconds or less. The above lucrative pricing mechanism attracted other players like Econet and Glo which in turn created competition among them, with Glo introducing the per second billing system which caused many consumers to switch over to their company. MTN and Econet, not wanting to lose their clients, had no choice but to follow suit in offering the per second billing system to their clients too. The power of competition and free market pricing of GSM calls has eventually led to the cost of per minute billing of calls to fall to about N12 per minute from N50 per minute! It has also led to the creation of novel products to maximise clients money by introducing a system where in a network, you get N3,900 for calls and 300 MB data if you buy a recharge card of N1,000. The networks are also more consumer friendly now as they call their clients to ascertain from them if they are satisfied with their services or how they can improve their services The above shows that the market price system will eventually enthrone the consumer as king if it is allowed to operate in the petroleum sector, though the initial teething pains and difficulty will present themselves, but ultimately the consumers will be better off. |
kikero:Very lucid economic analysis. Anytime government tries to control prices of commodities, rather than allowing market forces determine it, the price of the commodity ends up skyrocketing beyond the current price and ends up making things worse. When the Buhari administration took over in 2015, they tried to control the exchange rate of the dollar to the naira and for the first time the value of the naira fell to $1 to N400. The outcome of the above economic policy misadventure is still with us as the current parallel exchange rate of the dollar to the Naira is $1 to N468. Our policy makers ought to be aware that the right economic policies need to be put in place ,even if it will seem like anti-populist measures, as this will be to the overall interest of the masses and the country, in the long run. The right economic policy of allowing market forces determine the prices of petroleum products need to be adopted quickly, although there might be need to cushion the economic effects of this policy on the poorest of the poor. |
Mine was on a certain evening I went to buy drugs from a Pharmacy down the road, on my way back two mischievous dogs ran out of a nearby compound and came growling towards me. I saw them from the corner of my eyes and knew they were coming for me and just took to my heels! The dogs chased me towards my house and I remembered asking myself, when I was close to my house, why I should run from the dogs. I became bolder as I got close to my house and looked for some stones to throw at the dogs. When the dogs saw me approaching them with the stones, they turned and ran back fast towards their own house ! It was very hilarious. I got carried away as I chased them towards their house and when they sensed they were close to their house, they turned around, once again, to give me a good hot chase back to my house. When we got closer to my place, again, I turned around and chased them again. However, this time I did not chase them towards their house, but took a good aim with the stone on my hand at one of the dogs, the stone struck the dog and I was satisfied when he let out a loud Yelp as they fled to their house. |
I passed this road a while ago as I went from Obinze to see an inlaw who was a student at Federal University of Technology, Owerri; I am surprised to see that it has degenerated to this level |
IdowuRufai:I learnt that the place is his hometown |
This is so sad. May his Soul rest in peace |
I think schools should resume, online, so that the school year can be successfully concluded. The schools can collect tuition fees for the above, though it should be reduced. This way proprietors can pay teachers and other staff while earning some income themselves. Zoom app should come in very useful here. |
I often get worried when I see buses parked on the major section of the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway instead of making use of the service lane. May their Souls rest in peace and quick recovery to the injured ones |
So sad that the Phoenix is no more. I read about the onset of her illness, shortly after the death of her husband. My thoughts and prayers are with her little girl. May her Soul rest in peace. |
Fear women. A guy will look like a macho that cannot be easily moved by things of the heart, then you will later find out that one weak and innocent looking lady has him, emotionally, wrapped around her little fingers. Whatever she tells the guy above to do, he will sheepishly do it without question; her dumping him can sadly make him lose all hope in living. |
samchide:Alright, thank you |
DMPaulSr:No, she will break your heart and compensate you with a car. |
Congrats to both of you on your wedding! Second generation Nairalanders loading.... ![]() |
Slimboo222:I heard that their jazz na real strong thing. Those Ijebus claim to have originally migrated from there. Seriously, there might something he sees in her that we don't understand. I wish them all the best |
Patented:Exactly my thoughts! It looks too beautiful and harmless to be eaten ![]() |
NSK4U: Wicked description of the lady. |
End time girl friend, just imagine advising your husband to be to kill someone because of a motorcycle. ![]() If am the guy na to run leave the lady because he's not safe too as the lady can equally get a boyfriend to kill him when she becomes tired of the marriage. |
Rhymer2020:E concern you, aproko ![]() |
JAWBONE:Nobody asked for your pained opinion. ![]() |
yarimo:Correct. Former PDP, but decamped to APC to avoid party zoning of her seat to another area. |
Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Cyber bullying has led to multiple suicides, mostly in the western world, it should not be a surprise if verbal abuse and body shaming can lead to the same. |
Vmoses:Basket mouth is from Umuso, Eluama Town, Isuikwuato LGA in Abia state, though was born and bred in Lagos. He even quotes the above places, sometimes, when he is trying to introduce himself. |
Nathan2016:So true. When Michael 'Air' Jordan bought the basketball club, Charlotte Hornets, he bought it for about $197 m , but the club is reportedly worth $1.5 b now and has shot his networth to almost $2 b ! |
loneprof:The manner of killing suggests the Mob was involved. I hope that he was dead before they dismembered his body. Rest in peace. |
eni4real:Of course! |
QueenMelinda:The Winners Chapel AKA Living Faith Church Deaconness who used fire to burn a little girl's butt and private part is an Igbo woman too? She was a Yoruba woman who got her daughters to be involved in the very sadistic act too ! So, you see crime or wickedness is not the exclusive preserve of any tribe. |
