How would someone in bondage bring out light without fasting and prayers ?

Matthew 17:21 KJV
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

That above scripture was said by Jesus Christ himself , he didn't say " this kind goeth not except " thou brings out the light " .
A Christian is not in bondage. Which overturns your whole theory.
Christianity EtcRe: Who Else Hasn't Fallen Under The Influence Of Anointing Like Me? by Maestro21: 10:56pm On Jul 09, 2018
When the anointing (Holy Spirit’s presence) is very tangible the human body sometimes has a problem containing it and it causes a lightness that makes some people fall. It is a function of how much of his presence is being manifest.

Sometimes it feels like one just became weightless. Your legs just give way. Sometimes it feels like a weight is being taken off you. You feel relieved like you were put to bed by hypnosis. Sometimes it feels like heat. Like fire on your skin and internal organs. Sometimes it feels like electricity. Like a surge of voltage passed through you. Sometimes it feels like a cold wind hovering over. Your whole body will rush with a thrust of cold wind. It is very relieving. I don’t know how to describe it.

I agree that some people fake it to make the MIG look more powerful than he actually is but sometimes it is real.

Someone asked why Camera men don’t fall. A comedian asked that dumb question and people feel it makes sense. It is not some random exercise (the administering of the anointing). If the MOG directs it towards the camera men it will hit them. I have seen that happen a couple of times. Sometimes it is random and I have seen most of them fall.

I have seen an Usher try to help the MOG pick up his shoes before and the anointing knocked him out. It cant be faked because he did not even know what to expect as the pastor did not announce that any demonstration was about to happen. The pastor was running around in excitement and he took off his shoes to show how elated he was. When he was walking back to the podium the usher thought it best to help him pick the shoes and give it to him to put back on but he got knocked out and stayed in that supine position for a few mins before gathering himself up like a knocked out boxer.

Also, one can resist it. I have seen people being administered to who just waltzed away like they felt nothing. Funny enough, one of such persons, when he turned around to go back to his seat, the MOG raised his hands again this time whilst the resister was backing the hand and he was slain. It was remarkable because it was clear he did not know what hit him.

Maybe we should go to churches where pastors divorce their wives and support masturbation, where sin is not rebuked, instead i referred mildly to as a mistake, to a place where immorality is institutionalised and the 'word' is a covering for the seared conscience of the priest and laity.
Before Jesus died people were rebuking sin. This is 2018 and sin is still being rebuked yet people are still sinning and the bible said they will sin more. So imagine your revelation where sin being rebuked is where God is. Hahahahaha. Just bring out light and darkness will disappear. You cannot pray darkness away. Shed light and darkness will go.

And as for the shade you are throwing, no, it is some wives that divorce their husbands. And to say masturbation is not sin does not mean you support it. Just like saying smoking is not a sin. Anyone who thinks it is a sin should not do it. It is simple. When you grow up in spiritual things you will see that loving fellow brethren is proof that you have been delivered.

You have to make up your mind whether to accept scripture or not. Acts 1:26 Then they prayed, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this apostolic ministry from which Judas turned away to go to his own place". Then they gave lots to them, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was counted with the eleven apostles. This clearly states that Matthias was added to the eleven. The next passage was the Pentecost, and there was no where in scripture where the Holy Spirit rejected Matthias. Oh, I have a lot to learn because I quoted proverbs 16:33 to you "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord" . What else can I say but to refer you to Lev.16:8.

Casting of lot is not something you do often, that the scripture didn't record them casting lot afterwards never invalidated the one they did earlier. There was nothing that Suggested they had to wait till after Pentecost for another to take the seat of Judas, nothing at all. It is indeed very significant that the apostles be twelve at the birth of the Church, hence the eleven's decision to replace Judas before Pentecost was inspired. Neither was there a change of mind in their decision after Pentecost. If God didn't choose Matthias, He would have rejected him, but he didn't. Even after the descend of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:14, Peter Stood with the eleven which included Matthias. With apostle being an office of the twelve, Paul no where fell into this category, neither does he qualify for it based on the criteria laid down in Acts.1 by those whom Christ have earlier told that what they bound is considered bound.

Paul called himself an apostle, not as one of the twelve, but as one set apart for the work of preaching the gospel. He spoke of himself as an apostle, in the same way, Luke called Paul and Barnabas apostles, they were both requested by the Holy Spirit to be set apart for the missions. Hence we see the use of apostle not as an office (for the twelve), but also as a term for a chosen person set apart for the preaching of the gospel.

The rest write up above really doesn't say anything to disparage the use of the word Saints for members of the Church in heaven, you make bold to say that "Thus, nobody in heaven is more righteous or holy than any Christian on earth". That's the point were - having known what scripture says about the righteous man on earth - I simply see am wasting my time with you.
I don't know if it is indoctrination or if you are just reading your thoughts into the very same scripture you posted. People prayed to God, heard no word and decided to cast lots. That is the very sequence you have above. You cannot claim that decision came from God anymore than the one involving the soldiers who cast lots for Jesus' clothes. That is why I keep telling you to understand spiritual timing. That something was allowed pre-Holy spirit does not mean same thing continued post him.

Your argument on the silence of rejecting Matthias is non-sequitur. Matthias was a Christian who probably died a martyr but he simply was not Gods choice as that apostle. To peer Barnabas and Paul to save your dead argument is also shallow. Are we referring to a Paul whom " Pope" Peter said his teachings were scripture and esoteric to comprehend? With a bulk of the NT teachings or another Paul?

And you said Paul called himself an Apostle not as one of the twelve but that is simply because Paul was not into the early church politics of ranks and titles. He had already said he learnt nothing from any of them and when it appeared other Christian folks tried to make his appointment as one of a junior rank owing to being sent to non-jews he magnified his OFFICE (Romans 11:13). Or should we extend your logic and argue that John who saw the Revelations saw 12 names and not 11 other names since he did not expressly state it as such or he too was not part of the 12?

And nobody was set to disparage the use of saints for children of God both in heaven and on earth as you know it is one family. But the ones in heaven do not have any special meaning to the name. The whole body of christ are all one and the same saint. Humans will not segregate or discriminate where the word of God has not done and if such reasoning is wasting your time, it speaks a lot about you.

It's always good to consider what you're saying deeply before jumping to hold on to a preconceived notion. You claim to understand where I'm going, but still continue to beat about the bush. How can there be no difference between the apostleship of Paul and the apostleship of the twelve? In the book of revelations with regards to the apostles as I quoted Rev.21:14, twelve names were written and not thirteen.

The Scripture did not in any way condemn the way the apostles made the decision in Acts 1. Casting lots was a biblically allowed method of making a decision Proverbs 16:33The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD. The same Peter who Ananias and Saphira lied to and were said to have lied to the Holy Spirit was the one who spoke and quoted scripture in the choosing of Matthias. Yet you dare suggest that he wasn't led by the Holy Spirit at the time of that decision. Where did Jesus choose Paul as an apostle? And, while Matthias is never again mentioned in the New Testament, the same can be said for most of the other 11 apostles.

Saint means holy one. It is used for God's people here on earth to indicate their aspiration to perfection, their willingness to live a holy life and a reflection of their state on receiving the merits of Christ sacrifice through baptism. It doesn't remove the fact that heaven is still the eternal abode of these earthly saints among whom some may fall. Those in heaven cannot fall, they are at the summit of holiness, Even scripture called heaven the place of the "just made perfect" Heb.12:23. Hence no one deserves the name Holy one/ Saint more than them. People on earth even acknowledge this in their speech as we've often hear people say " Am not a saint..."and they are very right.

Society and groups always have models, the scripture is filled with models for various virtues. The Church decides to portray some of her members as her models, that their lives may inspire her children still fighting the battle, but Lo, you have a problem with it, because she called them Holy Ones "Saints".
You are actually beating about the bush yourself as I maintained they were 12 names but suggested which name will be the twelfth. Any one who is Christian will know it is not Judas and if casting lots is your understanding of how the Holy Spirit acts, then you have a lot to learn.

For the sake of perspective, Matthias was elected before the Holy Spirit came. Jesus told them to wait but they did not. In Acts 2, after they received him, their decision making changed and lot casting was never done again. So it is pertinent to know what the time is spiritually.

Concerning Paul, We know Jesus appeared to him and told him he was going to send him ( a la Apostolos). We know that Paul barely learnt anything from the other apostles (he said so). We know even matters down to the communion Paul himself said he received his own revelation on the subject matter from Jesus himself. He also informed us that he had ALL the signs of an Apostle. So there is no question about Paul's apostle ship and if it differed from the other eleven prior.

Saint means Sanctified, separated, consecrated. Who does the sanctifying, consecration or separation? The bible says Jesus' blood did not is hoping to do. But DID. Also, there is no aspiration to perfection. Not a single human being can be perfect in any sense but the salvation wrought by Jesus which birthed Christianity has made that perfection a reality not a process. Mountains were called Holy, Cups, Bread etc and we all know why they got such appellation: because God called them so not for any aspiration or acts that they performed.

There is no summit of holiness or more deserving of it simply for the fact afore: it was given freely to everyone who believes in Jesus. John said "NOW are we already the sons of God" not when we go to Heaven but now. It is a present hour reality just like the free gift of righteousness. Thus, nobody in heaven is more righteous or holy than any Christian on earth.

For your information, you should read Hebrews 12 in context before yanking the "just men made perfect" part. The writer of the book was expounding on our now time sonship not relegating it to something futuristic. He clearly stated that WE ARE COME unto Mount Zion which is King James English for, we are now on Mount Zion. So the fables on specific people being saints and others aspiring to it is unscriptual no matter how well-meaning it appears.

I do wonder what joy you gain in deception. How trying to look smart and not honest will help your life as a christian. I am glad you're not the only one God has blessed with a functional grey matter, so those who read us can draw their inferences as well. How those quotes exonerate you from what I wrote, I do not know. Very clearly I stated that St. Paul addressed himself as apostle, you started copying and pasting everywhere he did that, to support me or what? If you do not understand my post, then I can't discuss with you, If you understood and simply want to deceive, then I don't have time to waste.

Yes, you don't have beef with Paul calling himself an apostle when he isn't one of the twelve. How you can explain this and can't understand the use of saint for members of the church in heaven, only hatred can tell.
I know the context you are trying to bring in but I believe it misses the point for there is no disparity between the Apostle Paul was, compared to the other apostles. If anything, he seemed to be above them courtesy of the level of revelation he brought to the body of Christ.

That aside, there is nothing in the Book of Revelations that suggests that Matthias was a Godly replacement. It even lends credence to the reason we heard nothing of him afterwards. Jesus did not appoint his apostles by casting lots and the 11 who did erred. When it was time to appoint another apostle, we saw who Jesus himself appointed and it was Paul. That is exactly why Paul on a myriad of occasions was quick to point that his apostleship came from Jesus himself not by any man. That much is pretty clear.

Bringing this into the discourse, Apostle as the word Apostolos meaning sent ones is an office/ a calling and to that effect it was used rightly and not generically as you maybe aiming to imply. Ephesians tells us there are select Pastors, Prophets, Apostles, Teachers and Evangelists.

But when it comes to the issue of sainthood, it was not an office created by canonization. It was clearly and repeatedly used to refer to ALL members of the body of Christ. As a result, the OP is correct.
Christianity EtcRe: Bishop Oyedepo: "A Christian Can Lose His Salvation" by Maestro21: 12:55am On Jun 26, 2018
It depends on what he means.

MOG should simply teach scriptures and not what they hope or think. To that end I don't think scriptures support his position in the context I think he has used it.

First off, when are names written in the book of life and whose names are there? Many say when they get saved their names get there but scriptures don't say that.

Second, when are names blotted out? People say when you sin, but scriptures don't lend credence to that.

Third, "Stay on in righteousness" presupposes that the individual was responsible for getting himself righteous in the first place. Again, this does not line up with new testament teachings in the bible.

Fourth, "If your name isn't there, strive for your name to enter". Two things are cringeworthy here: 1. That one can know that their names are NOT written in the book. This again, is incongruent with anything in scripture. 2. the second half of the sentence again amplifies the importance of works/self-righteousness/self-effort over the finished works of christ. As though, one individual's good works is powerful enough to measure up with what christ did for all. As I have maintained all through, absolutely nothing in scriptures back any of these statements.

If the teaching is that someone who was in the faith could denounce the faith and end up in hell, I agree 100%. But then that does not mean a christian LOST his salvation. It just means the Christian decided to abandon it and become an apostate.

The bible, however suggests copiously that a christian cannot go to hell. So if the issue is if a christian sins before they die where do they go? The answer is simple. A christian CANNOT go to hell because sin is not greater than righteousness: so if an unbeliever does not qualify for heaven because they did something good before they died, in the same manner, a christian cannot qualify for hell because they did something wrong.

After all, Jesus did not die on the cross this evening. It happened 2000+ years ago. So he died for every sin anyone could have ever committed after he left this world and before he came to the world.

Paul called out Peter for his hypocritical stance towards the gentiles just to be in good books with the Jews...

What do you call that?

Was Peter not a man of God?
I don't want to type too long. If you tell your kids that after 7PM they are not to take Soda and your Brother (their uncle) is also aware of this rule but goes on to give them Soda by 8PM. Will you be criticising him if you reminded him in front of your kids that he was wrong for giving them the Soda after 7PM?

Peter visited Antioch where Paul was the pastor and comported himself according to the TRUTH of the gospel according to the word which he knew but decided to play politics when other men from James came around. Usually, Paul would have kept mum if he was in Peter's church, but because the issue was at his own district, he had to make that correction forthwith so that the others would learn from it. Paul said "But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel". Proving that the issue at hand, Peter was abreast of. Remember, Peter had already seen a vision from God concerning the issue + he had seen the Holy spirit being received by the Roman man at Joppa so Peter knew the truth. Yet acted differently in Antioch and Paul was not having it.

To buttress my point, in Acts 11 Peter had explained himself to the same men from James but after that, the same Peter went to Antioch and acted differently from the testimony he had shared because he was afraid of James and the other Jews. That is why Paul corrected him. If peter was ignorant of the truth, Paul would simply have corrected him in private. That was his M.O. In fact, when Paul visited James and co in Jerusalem, he observed their jewish rituals even when he disagreed with it. That is true christian behaviour.

Now I have typed too much. But I needed to drive home my point.

You don't know or trust God. You are simply pandering to popular opinion.

If that were not so, you would go on your knees in prayers when you see something in "Men of God" that does not line up with scripture. Because that is what the bible tells us to do. God himself, knows how to correct or purge his church as he deems fit. Any other help you are trying to give him by forcing things is tantamount to spiritual vagabondism.

this was not apology at all to the high Priest, it was actually a mockery statement further mocking the high priest and their laws don't you understand?
You have a unique way of reading your own mind into plain scriptures. A mockery using the torah? Same book he quoted copiously to make even christian teachings?

It's like someone saying I'm sorry, then he chuckles!
No he did not chuckle. So your attempt at relating Paul's response to sarcasm is fraud. This shows you have your own beliefs and will try to force every verse of scripture to agree with you, even when they don't.

As if the mockery wasn't enough Paul actually caused division among the Pharisees and saducees(all Jewish leaders) who were friends at that time, if you read further you will see what I'm talking about, he never apologized for that division either.
This is verbal gymnastics now. You have totalled veered off from the discourse to raise up another moot and obviously erroneous point. For you cannot claim a Pharisee that Paul was used the same torah he was sworn to uphold as a tool of mockery. It is disgraceful for a christian to even think much less say it.

Causing division is even worst than insulting them and the high Priest.
I don't understand where this verse of reasoning came from and how it connects to your argument. You started with criticism and now you are talking about a division. If you want to make any christian arguments, please use scriptures or else, there is no point reasoning with you. I deal only with scriptures.

Let's assume it was apology according to you.
It is not an assumption the facts are staring at you.

He apologize for one simple error and went further to do something disastrous as dividing the Pharisees and saducees does that make sense to you, can't you think?
Again projecting your own erroneous thoughts into the word of God. Paul was a Pharisee. He simply appealed to them so that his LIFE will be spared. That is similar to a Obama being arrested in Kenya when Kenyans are killing Americans and appealing to his captors that he is Kenyan by descent. What you are doing is called clutching at straws to save a dead argument. Paul did not believe that leaders of any sort should be criticised and he said so. PERIOD.

Get it straight to your head that christ has made us priests we don't need any high Priest but Christ
Irrelevant. Very soon you'd say we don't need Pastors.

i have heard pastor Chris teaching that truth a number of times.
So, if one high priest who doesn't know christ ordered that Paul who was made Priest through christ to be slapped, among the two who should deserve the apology?
Gymnastics again. Paul is the one who told us about our priesthood in the new birth yet he recognised and apologised to an earthly high priest who was not even Christian. Because that is the admonishing he got from Jesus.

I did not say pastor Chris is not following scriptures. I myself i learnt so much from him over the years, but this particular one he said we should not criticize leaders, he is wrong.
Prove it from scriptures. That is what I have maintained ab initio.

Christ has given us the power to judge what is right from what is wrong, so if pastor Chris chooses not to criticize that is his own personal decision and should not be a thing for all Christians.
To judge who and what? The only judgment the christian is to make is to judge AN ISSUE by the word. So Pastor Chris is not against shedding the light of god's word on an issue where error may have been subsisting. But he is vehemently against judging a person because it contravenes scripture.

so far, you have not been quoting the word rightly but your aim of quoting scriptures is to satistisfy your hunger of fully agreeing with everything pastor Chris is saying. So you find yourself warning those who do not fully agree like you are doing
Actually I am the only one quoting scriptures rightly. you have tried to force David, and now Paul into your argument but both have disagreed with you. I am simply warning you because I perceive you to be a christian who is only in error. I don't agree with many things many pastors say, but you would never see me criticising them because the word of God never approves that.

how will you possibly know that you have been caring about pastors when you don't meditate with your head after reading scriptures, but being emotional? grin
So far, only one person here is interpreting scriptures. You are the one being emotional: trying to fight a battle for God that he never sent you to do. Just stick to what he told you and watch his move in your life. I have tasted of that power from on high so I can sense it when I know someone else who has not. They usually talk the way you do i.e Force their personal opinions unto issues instead of letting God be the judge that he said he is and will be.

you are still misquoting scriptures again like your pastor just did, perhaps they are teaching Nigerians to do so.
Jesus did not say criticism must come, he said offence must come.
Offence and criticism are not the same.
Offence was not desirable in anyway but criticism is good especially for the purpose of correction every public figure should embrace criticism cos no one is perfect we all make mistakes sometimes, and when we do, we correct ourselves when the people who are affected of our wrong doing speaks out
.

There is a reason I avoid biblical debates on here and it is for the simple reason that most who engage in it are not doing so based on scripture but human feelings. If you are not christian, then you are free to do what you like. But if you are the called of God, then the bible should be your standard. To that end, the emboldened part of your post is not only wrong it is unscriptural. If Paul was a christian who expounded on deep biblical truths then listen to him. This was Paul's response after a man struck him on his face. Paul criticised the man but when he was told that he was the JEWSIH High priest (not even a christian) here was Paul's response:

"I'm sorry, brothers. I didn't realize he was the high priest," Paul replied, "for the Scriptures say, 'You must not speak evil of any of your rulers.'" Acts 23:5

The man mistreated Paul. Paul spoke against him. But when he realized he was a leader, Paul immediately apologised by quoting scripture. I think Pastor Chris and Paul belong in the same camp. I prefer their camp.

And it is very wrong not to speak out simply because the one who is doing the wrong is a pastor or imam. Pastor Chris is openly teaching Nigerians to continue with this very wrong mindset.
It's not like that elsewhere o
Pastor Chris is following scripture. Ask any one who listens to him or has done so even in the past. You would NEVER hear him speak critically of even Nigerian presidents who are easy targets. So this has nothing to do with only religious leaders.

There is no wisdom in excluding yourself from criticizing your leaders except you don't know that they are actually doing wrong or you don't know how to say your criticism.
The word of God is wisdom. Those who act contrary to it yet are children of the word are the people who should be warned. Like I am doing now.

If buhari is not performing then he should be criticized vehemently by all Nigerians.
Let Nigerians do what they want. As a christian your loyalty is to God first, before Nigeria. So God's word should be honoured first and foremost.

A criticism well said is very good, and a welcomed development don't mind these pastors
Just like it was said many years ago, it will be said now: Your criticism, what has it achieved? ZERO. NOTHING.

1 Sam 26:20 Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea, as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.

Now, the emboldened was actually an insult to the King. A whole King of Israel chasing a flea(insect) in the mountains? (even children of slaves have better things to do)
That is criticism to the highest order
Absolute RUBBISH. David was referring to himself as a Flea. And it was figurative. David was saying, I am inconsequential (little, trivial, irrelevant) yet the king seeks my life. That is exactly what Herod tried to do when he heard that a king was born (Jesus). Herod sought to kill an "inconsequential" baby because he was paranoid.

But guess how Saul took that criticism?
He welcomed it and repented of chasing David at that moment.
Read it.
1 sam 26:21 Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
RUBBISH again. Saul was demon possessed and when overwhelmed, he sought to kill David because David was anointed to replace him not his own son Jonathan. So Saul's response here was simply one of those moments of weakness when the demon was less active. The same Saul afterwards still tried to kill David at least 2 more times before his eventual death. So no, he did NOT REPENT.

If Saul who was wicked could say this, then pastors today should say more when they are criticized of their wrong doing.
Saul was fond of David until the anointing went to David. And that resentment for David never waned because Saul wanted his own biological son to replace him and not David the son of a shepherd with no royal history.

But non of them have ever
I don't care about Pastors. I care about honouring the word of God.

Please ignore these pastors, they don't worth it
Same as above.

Pastor Chris is wrong here.
David in the bible instructed his followers not kill King saul is not the same thing as instructing them not to criticize him.
Infact, if you read the end of that story David openly criticized King Saul for leaving his throne and hunting him to kill him in the wilderness.

Why are these pastors afraid of criticism to the extent of misquoting scriptures just to get people not to criticize them when they do wrong?

You can't continue to fool people this modern day.
True pastors are not afraid of critics or criticism. They know it must come because Jesus said it will.

What the wise ones do is warn people they know and protect not to be part of it. Just like it was certain that the son of man had to die yet it was going to be woeful for anyone who had a hand to do with it.

And as for your interpretation of the story, you sir are the one wrong. To prove this, I implore you to post the exact scripture you are referring to so we can see if David did criticize Saul.

Desist from it.

In fact, his 7 3s in 3 games is seen as a low compared to some other person who has 8 in 3 games (who is being lauded for it).

So I am wondering what Kyle Korver did toBron that he shaded him.

Mention one of the twelve disciples that died a rich man.

Stop being ignorant. People be praying for the Blessings of Abraham but are not ready to face the test he faced

Mention just one portion of the Gospel where Jesus praised riches. Just one.
Another question being asked from a position of error. You cannot ask me when 2+2 became 5 because it was never true to begin with.

Jesus’ disciples were largely successful individuals priori to meeting him. And he did not chase them away. Did you not wonder why when he told them it was easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle than the rich to enter the kingdom of God they were surprised? Because they felt he was shading them. They asked “who then can be saved?”.

If you doubt me, ask yourself why Jesus told them when they go preaching they should not go with silver or gold. If you don’t understand my question then think of it this way; if I say to you don’t go about preaching with your private Jet, I wager your response to me will be, “I don’t have any private jet to begin with”. So Jesus knew who he was talking to when he said don’t go with your silver and Gold.

Again, when a very expensive perfume was used on Jesus and Judas complained. His argument was that it should have been sold and given to the POOR (which means he did not consider himself poor). What was Jesus’ response? He said THE POOR you would always have with you. Which means Jesus himself did not consider himself as poor.

If you are against the over-emphasis on material wealth, then you are right and I support you.

What is misinterpreted account.

The biblical verses I just quoted, are they in the Bible or not?

What you should do is to point to the place where Jesus said one of the signs of being my disciples is wealth and riches.

I have given you relevant biblical verses. Oya, refute them.

Oh by the way, the parable of the Lazarus and the rich man did not make any mention that Abraham was in Heaven.

I guess your pastor didn't point that out to you.

Nobody said having money isn't good. But the emphasis your pastors who preach wealth without work lay on riches is leading y'all to hell unfortunately.

Prosperity preachers. Amen somebody shouters, Bible thumpers. Open the four Gospels and show us whether Christ preached material prosperity like you claim.
You are already asking a question from a position of error. Is your position that Christ spoke against material wealth or that he said God could not be responsible for it to a Christian? If both, you are wrong.

The implication of what you just wrote is that Jesus lied.
He was in Samaria where he had no home. So no he did not lie. His home was in Capernaum.

Of course bro.

I have always said, anyone who is deeply interested in the things of God and has an unquenching desire to know God through and through will fall in love with Pastor Chris.

As your hunger is increasing, where you are will not satisfy you. Especially when you desire to put the word to work and see changes in your life and in the lives of others.

Then you would want someone who uses the word the same way you desire to. Someone who you see work the word with incontrovertible signs and wonders. Someone who obviously works in a power the body of Christ has not seen in years.

If that is you, Pastor Chris is or should be your mentor.

Of course, Christ Embassy is a cult. So there's no point arguing with a staunch member. Their brains have been taken out.

Ran away from there with my family. I wish the cultists the best.
Hope you find peace wherever you are man.

Funny enough, I'm of Christ Embassy and I am proud of this great achievement of Deeper Life. I feel just the same way I would if the building were Christ Embassy's. See some of my earlier posts on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/4469212/commissioning-deeper-life-international-headquarters/5#66998736

And this is what many in today's church are yet to grasp. This aught to be the mindset of every believer in Christ: The success of one is the success of all.

However, baby Christians will still wrestle with this truth.
Certain posters, just read some of their past posts to know whether to respond.

The person you are responding to talks a lot of rubbish about CE in particular so nothing new.

They are the ones who speak what angels would not even dare think.

You are simple-minded but today is not your day of deliverance. Pastor Oyedepo is doing other great things in the world so at least he is still needed on earth. I can't say the same for you. Just keep up with the hate and bile that you think is God-ordained. The day of reckoning is coming for you and other spiritual irritants who don't know that true christian essence is illumination and love not childish bitterness and ignorance.

I am not addressing a politician here. I am talking to a MOG. His own duty is to educate and pray not incite people. simple.

I don’t believe Pastor Oyedepo made these statements. If he did, he, not the VP is in grave error. The pulpit of God is not a platform to incite or divide God’s children. No matter your grievances you should let God’s word be the message. You will never influence a change with insults and bile. It is puerile.

The Bible admonishes us to PRAY for people in leadership. Pray that wisdom mantles them to make better decisions. If you feel the VP is playing fiddle or being suspiciously silent on critical issues, why not kneel down in prayerful intercession for these changes to be met?

Or you have access to him especially since Pastor Adeboye (your mentor) is a spiritual father to the VP. Why not use him to gain audience with the VP and explain your understanding to him.

If the MOG,Oyedepo made these statements. I thoroughly reject it as a statement backed up by God. I am speaking on the authority of the word. Pastor Oyedepo is entirely wrong.

There is order and decorum in God’s house. Especially if the govt you asked people to vote for was 5 times worse than this one. But I doubt this news until I see video evidence. And even if I do, I leave it to God to judge.

Mr Op both u and the CE member that followed u up are kids in Christendom. It doesn't matter if u have been born again since 1820. We have funny characters in every church but when will u ever see a true Christ Embassy member come out in public to condemn other churches?
It's always other churches condemning us?
Would an adult judge an entire family by the character of "little junior?"
Yes if the adult is a kid himself.
You of all people should know the story is a lie. Pastor Chris has referred so many times to other ministers that it is not possible for any leader to conclude that anyone not in CEC is not a true success.

Then a CE leader was doing evangelism by selling Frank Edwards and Pastors tapes really? We don't even sell Rhapsody during evangelism. Tapes are sold at the stand in churches not at evangelism. Then which CE leader will evangelize to you and not lead you to christ but instead be visiting constantly? Every body evangelizing is taught to even ask people the fundamental question skillfully before proceeding and no leader will preach to anyone who is already saved. How many times have you heard pastor say he is not interested in taking someone from another minister?

1. The guy was being arrogant yet a spirit filled Christian is saying "he was JUST born-again for 2 or 3 years"?

2. Did you read his second point? This person is a clown.

3. Or number 3? LOL

4. A CE leader spent months preaching to one person who he never asked if the person was saved? Hahahahaha. The CE leader must have been jobless like the OP.

Did you read his conclusion? Worldly dressing, gowns without stripes haha hahaha. This guy writes like some broke writer who used to change his handles a lot in the anti-tithe brigade. The story is poorly made up and has no semblance to CEC at all.

If OP wants to lie, he need not write long garbage. Just take one false story like " masturbation is not sin" and run with it. It will make more sense.

Greatzeus:
As for music,Ada is the new hot. Nobody I say, Nobody sings good music like this girl for now. Sinach is great but she is always pushed down members throat. I remember Pastor Chris after a message, with millions of viewers, asked the members to go buy Sinach latest album.
This album Future now by Ada has 16 tracks, with like 14 classic that will hold it's own using any musical standard. Who releases 16 tracks nowadays, this girl is the best.
You can raise one without pushing the other down. There are many countries around the world that hear Sinach and like her without Pastor instructing them to patronise her. You do realise Benny Hinn met her on his own and felt the anointing so strong on him that he asked to meet her Pastor.

Do not be divisive and do not buy the lies of scoffers.
