Thanks Strength and time? Na wa o. I did not have to step out of my office to apply and successfully register for the test (including payment). So what does this person in question need strength and time for? Maybe they'll also not have any for the actual test too. |

Freeman59: If you are registering on your own no charges. But through an agent they could charge you 2k or more for processing. Making it 70k You must be kidding! You just have to be kidding. Has it become so bad that people do not know how to register for an examination? Something as basic as this. Very soon, someone will come here to ask what the full meaning of IELTS is. |

They will be opening at approximately 2 p.m. AST (around 7pm Naija time according to Google) on Saturday, Dec. 9, to accept 175 to 225 applications. The link is here https://novascotiaimmigration.com/move-here/nova-scotia-demand-express-entry/ The traffic on that site since 6:50PM Nigerian time has been outrageous. In fact, the link isn't opening right now 7:05PM. The rush for PNP no be here o. lol |

Raconteur14: How significant do you expect the drop to be? Low 430s, sub 430 or as low as it was May this year (circa 413). Those Indians don't seem to be on break at any point o, considering they are the ones with the highest percentage of PPR/COPR receipts. I think they do because very few Nigerians were privy to the EE system at the time it started, and boy they also have great numbers in that country too you know. Did you observe how the numbers from Nigeria increased by over 900% from 2015 to 2016? We await the 2017 stats.
Summarily, I'd expect the numbers to go as low as 420 (or less) in the early draws of 2018, even though it is expected to go back up afterwards due to the projected increase in the number of eligible, high scoring applicants from the world over. These are merely thoughts or wishes anyway, albeit calculated, as the Canadian government still reserves the right to press the buttons as they deem fit from time to time.
I honestly pray that our extrapolations crystalize to real numbers in the end sha. The thing follow affect me |

dtaminator: Not exactly, when applying with your spouse, all the points you loose when compared with single applicants can be earned by your spouse's language and education.
It actually evens out.
Neither single nor married applicants are favoured by CRS calculations. So as a married applicant, you only loose points if your spouse does not take language tests or get an ECA or both. Thanks for throwing more light |

nanny2017: Hello my people. thanks for your good works here. pls I have a question. At any point in the post-ITA application, Do they request for NYSC discharge certificate because I did not complete it before travelling out of the country for my Masters degree.
Thank you guys No one recognizes NYSC beyond the borders of Nigeria. As you already know, they don't require it for academic (masters) purposes, how much more migration. However, one's 1 year of work during that time would be meaningful if and only if their then primary employer would be willing to write and defend a work reference on their behalf |

Again, Nigerian schools remain on strike.. Hahaha. The last one is not funny... Dodging bullets! Plus the increase in number of permissible immigrants for 2018. Best thing is just to stay ready |

Flaj: Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.
When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.
This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR. Thanks for this piece of information. Very useful I must say, and I think this page should be bookmarked on FP for ease of reference. |

mb92: Good afternoon my dear brothers and sisters Am and news and I believe am in the right please were I gat get help and assistance too please am planing to relocate to Canada and am very impress with what I do see here I have also gone through the 1,2 even the part3 Please help out I don't where to start from
-i have a first class in Business Informston system, I graduated 2015 - am 25 year I will be 26 next month and am single -I just completed my nysc last month novernber - I have been working in a company since I return home since March last year to November It was that november I started my nysc till November year and I after my service I went back to the company where I was working before my nysc although is not I.T company bout I work there as an analyst - i also have a Certificate in network security
Please where will i start base on the summary of my qualification and work expirnce I checked my scores in CIC it was 407 although I have not written IELTS yet do one I have is no more valid again it was since 2013 Please would it better or would I stand a better chance when I secure a job there be going in the pool thanks God bless Class of degree has ZERO impact in what happens here. With less than one year work experience, your scores would likely hover around the 390-410 points(depending on the outcome of your IELTS of course). That's not too good, except you'd like to opt for the PNP since you are still young enough, in case there's any significant delay. For most provinces, to be eligible, you still need a score of 400 and above.
Please which school did you graduate from again? I'm just being curious. |

trastar: I guess what everyone has been trying to say is this...since your degree is in Mathematics, access as a mathematician..prepare your job reference letter to align with that of a mathematician rather than an accountant. Read the JD for that and let your job reference letter align with that of a mathematician. Thank you for your response @trastar. I think I can conjure up something good since I worked with a multinational and my roles there really cut across various areas that require mathematical ingenuity.
If that's all there is that might pose a problem, will it be safe to conclude that I can initiate the process? |

msbaileyz: Hello everyone, I am in a confused state at the moment. My CRS is 391, I'm single and I have noticed that almost everyone here is applying as a couple... is there another way for singles like me with low CRS?? Maybe to hook up with a single guy and apply jointly?? I'm single. You can marry me and fulfill your Canadian dreams.
Sorry, I play too much. You needn't be confused lady, there are lots of (single) people here (like yours sincerely) who are on this journey alone. A partner can only boost your (combined) score if he: 1. Has superior and fantastic IELTS score, something like the 8,7,7,7 and above 2. Has 2 or more degrees, an MSc, a PhD and/or any other recognized professional certification like ACCA 3. Has a sibling who is a citizen or PR of Canada, and best of all 4. Has a provincial nomination or is likely to obtain one.
A combination of one or more of the above would land you safely on Canaan's side as you thought. Without them, your 391 score might get depleted sef. Somebody should kindly vet my submission |

Omomabo: Hello! Please i need your advise. In the statutory question where it was asked if the applicant has had any serious disease or physical or mental disorder. Does anyone know what exactly is considered a serious disease? Are you suspecting yourself?
On a lighter note, I think 'serious' in that context means any disease that might make you become a "burden" to the Canadian healthcare system. They need young, healthy and vibrant personnel for their growing workforce hence that caveat. Diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Sickle cell anemia etc. could be considered 'serious'. That's my opinion though.
Cheers!
PS: No disregard for those who suffer from one or more of the diseases I just mentioned above. This is solely for the purpose of sharing ideas and isn't intended to spite/mock anyone, either directly or impliedly. Thanks. |

The problem here is after filling all the requested info,I can't proceed to payment except i upload the transcript to be verified, which obviously is with wes.pls who has experienced this and what was the solution. Thanks Chai!! I'm also doing my UNN iTranscript o. In my opinion, contact the exams and records officer that processed the transcript to ask for assistance else you want to pay an additional 15k for local delivery student's copy. I have a friend (my classmate working in school) that I can ask to make enquiries on your behalf from the person doing mine. Who knows, she might be of help but then, our (hubby's) details might be needed if you don't mind.
On another note, please how long did it take for 1. UNN to send your transcript to WES? 2. For WES to evaluate and send back for verification?
How much does one have to pay for the iVerification? |
