It's not always a case of being straightforward or not. I've seen a pure straightforward case refused by UKVI and after 2 admin reviews (because they found different reasons to deny), visa was granted but received late and couldn't be used. But the next application the following year with the same documents and same school (with only change in dates) was approved under 7 working days as all the errors they could bring up had already been trashed at the ARs from the previous year. The AR process was initiated in early August, new refusal with another reason in late August, 2nd AR in Sept, 2nd refusal cancelled in mid Sept, passport submitted mid September but wasn't ready for pickup till applicant went to BHC 2ce in Oct. Total AR time was about 7-8 weeks but each AR decision was ready in 2 weeks. Total time inclusive of application timeline was about 13-14 weeks. If you can get the refusal overturned, good for you but be ready to wait, just in case it takes longer than you anticipate. Veejaytv1: I have learnt from this, damn long process but is the reason for your refusal same as mine, my refusal case is so straightforward and I think I could do what you did in the case of the refusal of your 20 million to 4K pounds sir, thinking of it, if I was in an accident or something I expected a follow up letter from them that they called me, I'm confidence with God on my side I'll with successful with the AR, the only difficult is the incoming calls. |

There's no challenge with using a different surname as her husband as long as her ID documents and BRP all have the same names as the name she's using. It all boils down to preference. I used my maiden name for a while after I got married and I had absolutely no issues with any organisation. I only formally updated my details with the applicable organisations when the names on my ID documents changed. OBYNOWEST12: I will advice you to let her start using ur name.. you are married to her, using her surname can impose a little challenge wen she come over.
Let her passport bears ur name. Sometimes here some organization demand ur passport details for name confirmation like opening bank account, renting an accommodation even employment check list. Is better u start early to start getting every documents on the right track. |

Yes, there's no requirements to change names after getting married. If you decide to change names due to marriage, the marriage certificate is sufficient proof of name change for UKVI. abby2443: Hello MamaEEE, can we use her maiden name for her international passport and tuberculosis test even after our court wedding on Thursday? |

Use an affidavit and a cover letter. PurpleDN: Good Morning Everyone. Please I have a challenge. On my marriage certificate, all other documents that concern it such as affidavit and newspaper publications have my name written as Surname O... N... Current Expired Passport has my name as Surname O... N...
While all other documents I have including school certificate has my name writing as Surname N... O...
This means that my first and middle have been replaced with each other in some of my vital documents.
In this instance what can I do? I am applying for a visa soon.
Please note: I traveled sometimes in 2019 with my husband and baby to the Uk and my previous passport and married certificate which follows the same pattern of Surname O.. N.. was used to secure our visas. But now that the school document is involved due to the student route, I am confused on what to as regards the difference in arrangements of my names.
I will be looking forward to your responses. Thanks. |

No. If you arrive the UK before then, you'll be refused entry because you have no valid visa. You can arrive any time on the exact date that your visa starts though. Your visa is valid from the date on it, not before. Oyee08: Hello Great people, Is it possible for someone to travel earlier that the date? The Visa's validity starts from Feb 23 |

As long as the 28-day count did not end more than 31 days before his application date, he's good and from what you've explained, it's not older than 31 days before his application so there's no cause for concern. He can print a statement covering the 28 day period before his application plus the days leading up to his biometrics if he so wishes though. Anitaamich: Please for someone that printed his statement showing the 28days before his online application, does he still need to print another statement to go for his appointment? You will be issued visa but your dependants won't be getting dependant visas. fatiscoproduct: I need advice, I am married with two kids, I have HND with over right years of work experience in Supply chain management. The schools are not willing to offer me MSc because I don't have a BSc but one of the schools offered me a top up degree of two years after which I can proceed on for my MSc. My question is, would I be issued a VISA for an undergraduate program as a married man ? I want to close out the Admission this week so I can pay the fees and wait for CAS.
Please I need your honest advise. |

You can, if the additional document supports the basis of your admin review or proves that you were wrongly refused. slimdolyin: I have not appeal yet sha but someone said I won't be able to upload any documents when submitting the administrative review. I just want to know how true it's. |

Yes, it's possible. Bank statements originating from the UK don't need to be stamped and online statements can be used. Springsuk: Good day nairaland.
Please am quite confused about the SoA to use for a dependent.
@mimilyrics and others, can a dependent use and submit the SoA of the main applicant already in the uk?
Considering the fact that the lockdown would not allow a stamp bank statement but the electronic generated statement.
Thanks |

1. No. He should transfer the money to your account. 2. I don't quite get what you mean. 3. Use google search and use your preferences to narrow down the search results. Many schools give the £1-4k international student scholarships. Some courses also have their own scholarships depending on the school. 4. Not all schools do. Some accept a C grade in WAEC/NECO as proof of English proficiency while some accept a letter from your previous institution stating that your previous study was undertaken in English. Some will accept only IELTS ie. Top tier schools like Harvard, LSE and the likes. dkizzy01: I want to pursue a postgraduate degree in supply chain as I have working experience in supply chain.
But my original course is Environmental science and Resources management.
Questions.
1, am married can my uncle sponsor me with state of account and letter of sponsorship. Will the accept it or what is the way to do it.
2, which of the above cost do you suggest I go for?
3. Are there schools that can grant me scholarship or any school with low tuition you can advise.
4. Will they require English exams?
God bless you for your kind response |

That's a discussion for days and you'll even get tired of it because you'll almost think like you read a different bible or are from an alien planet so pls save your energy. LagosismyHome: A friend on Facebook leads a Christ Embassy church here in the UK, and posted the church Christmas party held in Dec 2020 when we were even told no household mixing
The hall was packed full, no social distancing whatsoever, no face mask, no precautions no nothing, people hugging and pic up and down.... wasnt that against the rules in December.......but hey it's always selective reading when it comes to the bible. Some parts when it comes to money are magnified and self interpreted while others part are ignored.
The bible states that the laws of the land should be obeyed and followed. Romans 13:1-2 says: Obey the government....... |

Ah! I still had this discussion with someone on WhatsApp yesterday and the person said that since Pst Chris has declared it a scam, it is a scam and over hyped. He also said something in the line of rapture being 3-10 years max away from happening which is why the govt are being deceptive. He also said something along the lines of only illiterates believe Covid-19. My "omo" finished yesterday. I used to attend Christ Embassy and I learnt quite a lot while there as I was encouraged to always cross check whatever I'm told from the bible but I'm just shocked that people would rather quote MOG than God because even the bible teaches that wisdom is profitable to direct. Lexusgs430: A family meddoc supports, each time I am on call..... I dread visiting that address.. That family does not believe in covid19.... According to them, chris said Covid19 was a scam, despite my pleas with the family........
Now her husband is infected with COVID19, has numerous health comorbidities and complications...... Unfortunately, her husband is now on an EOL pathway.... Anytime from now, his bell would ring.........
I am yet to ask the wife if covid19 is a scam or not..... This question, I shall surely ask her, when the dust is settled......... |

Speak to your school before you write another. Many schools accept a letter stating that your previous study was fully undertaken in English. Even if that happens, as long as you have evidence that you used it in paying your fees, it won't be an issue. They will usually just confirm the statement for the period you've submitted for. teametwin: Thank you for your response. I was thinking the UKVI might want to call to confirm if the money is still in the account. I just want to be careful so I don't mess things up. |
