Each police officer on guard is also entitled to some money for refreshments so as not to get involved with any local
. all payment by inec for the election should be through e-channel, so as to curb corruption by inec and forensic audit can be done to trace all funds spent hence elections won't be business as usual for inec staff |

Politics › Re: Why I Am Not Voting Obi by mokset123: 7:52pm On Feb 01, 2023 |
RHMSTECH: First, I need to let people know that an average Nigerian is corrupt by default but some have been able to rehabilitate themselves and even at that, it’s difficult to find “a very good man” in Africa, because the system the colonial masters left us with makes it difficult to produce such people.
These people used 400 years of slavery to move both human and natural resources to their countries, developed their countries with our resources and then started civilization way ahead of us. Imagine people working for you for free, won’t you get so rich? What then happens to your workers after making them work for free in years? of course, life is going to be difficult for them an their generation. They’ll fight for the little resources they see, which would create a very dangerous social construct.
Ask yourself why blacks in America have the worst statistics in terms of education, poverty rate, violence and all. It’s simply because they were products of a system that denied their ancestors the opportunity to take charge of their destiny when others were at it. That’s why a black man has to dream despite being an American or westerner.
So for those saying Peter obi is a good man, he’s not corrupt, he’ll change the country , I want you to remember president Jonathan had no shoes, he was seen as God sent but revelations told us otherwise.
Now back to the main content 😁
It’s not that some of us don’t like the idea of a new Nigeria but you guys need to understand Naija politics.
Peter obi has no structure in the north, he has no strategic alliance and it’s impossible for anyone to win the presidency without having 25% in at least 24 states at the first round. My preferred candidate was osibanjo but he didn’t win.
Realistically, it’s tinubu vs atiku in this election, but the thought of having another Fulani as president of this country is unthinkable. Tinubu is part of Lagos government, he has technocrat to help in his administration and presidency isn’t one person, it’s a team. So idea of tinubu being president isn’t unthinkable, an average igbo man got made in “lagos” and we need to give credit to those who created an environment where business can thrive. I don’t know if that’s obtainable in anambra though. Is it??
And note this, if we are all sane in this country, we wouldn’t even be talking about any of those 3. Peter obi was governor of anambra, atiku was vice president, tinubu was a governor.
We should be talking about sowore - a man I personally voted for in 2019 but unfortunately only a few of us were with him.
No one has the moral right to call me out if you are either supporting atiku or Peter obi, only those supporting candidate outside of those 3, fit call me out and of course, if you are well educated, you’ll understand everyone has the right to vote for their own choice without fear of intimidation.
Even if satan contest under Republican Party, he’ll win Texas. bula ba |

codedcoder: Hello House,
I need some advice.
I just got a job in Poland and the work permit has been sent to me, as a software engineer I have dreamt of getting a second leg in a country in Europe and now this happened (a dream came through)
But then, the salary is small compared to what I am currently earning as a remote engineer. Since it has always been my dream I have decided to give it a shot , get the PR and probably come back to Nigeria and now the thought of getting a house before leaving sets in. The total cash I have is 97m aside the investment in shares which is around 10m and also the pension worth 8m I don't have any other property even a car.
Therefore I have been in the lookout for a house in Lagos but those that meets my standard are between 50-60 million.
Please experts in the house, is it a smart decision to spend such amount of money in property at this point. you could purchase a decent land in a good place with half or less for the quote given on choice properties that meet your taste. Then secure it by doing cofo, fence and install a gate. After you migrate to work in Poland, you can start a building project, that way you would still have substantial amount with you when leaving for poland |

I got a fully funded PhD scholarship and am wondering if it will be a wise decision to quit my job and go for the full time scholarship. Will I still be able to meet up with my obligations to wife and 3 children back home while studying abroad 1. it depends on the country, do they allow the dependant to work which is your spouse in your case. 2. What plans do they have for migrants to settle after studies 3. Do you have additional funds to foot their travel if 1 and 2 above checks out so you all can leave at once 4. Or you go initially and after sometime, you send for them, but in all do your research very well |

Socratiz: Is there any one he respects that you can intervene in this matter?
If you're Christians you may wish to inform your church leader or any elderly person who has some influence on him.
If not, you can think of a family friend but I advise such a person must be someone he respects.
I don't advise you inform his family member because his attitude may be a reflection of the family, in which case they won't be able to help.
You can send me a mail if you don't mind you will be shocked she knew all these things before entering the marriage, because she felt she could change him, now she is regretting her actions, wanting to commit a more heinous crime of adultery in the name of payback. I know you wished he did change when you both got married it might take him a short or long time to come around and act as the man who married you or he may never come around at all. As nigerians na on God you dey on am oh I just feel you should have stayed away from marrying him, when he showed signs that he wasn't going to invest as much energy as you were in marriage. I used to stay at surulere now I reside at egbeda, how do I vote? A lot of lagosian moved from the former apartment to a distance place from last year to dis year, how would they vote? take the pain and hang around there a night to the presidential election since there would be restriction of movement on the day of election. This is the sacrifice we have to take to make this country get back on the right track again. I will be doing same in my location too. |

Years later he sent me a message begging me to forgive him in anyway he might have wronged me, he later discovered himself because I had deleted his contact from my phone then he knew the friendship was over. |

Sweetvie: 5-6m is too small for Canada convert your first year school fee and add 10,000 CAD as cost of living. So if your first year fee is 15,000 CAD then add 10,000 CAD as cost of living. So the visa officer wants to see atleast 25,000 CAD. Now in naira 25,000 CAD at bank rate is at 8m plus. But you can only assess tuition at bank rate through form A. So you need to do more research, Uk isn't a bad option too. |

Bokeeto: Greetings Nairalanders, I would appreciate your candid advice about traveling to UK for my post graduate studies.
I come from a family of 4, all of us are graduates but none is gainfully employed, thanks to Nigeria's bad government system.
We've been struggling to make ends meet for a long time, no notable achievements from we the children.
My mom is late and my dad is a retired civil servant, so recently my elder brother's friend and his wife migrated to the UK.
He told my brother about the process, now my elder brother wants me to be the one to travel to UK so things can change for good in the family.
My people are planning to sell almost all of the landed properties we have, we're looking at 5-6 million naira or more.
I'll be 27 by March next year, I want to know if this is a smart move.
Would this venture worth the risk....
What is life in UK like...
What do I need to have to make it there
What should I expect studying in UK
Which soft skills can fetch me more money
I'm a guitarist here, can I do anything with over there?
Aside from UK, which other countries I can be studying and working part-time to make a living and help my people down here.
Please I would appreciate your contributions, God bless you all.....❤️✊ also look into canada, get a college admission for a 2 year program in a career path you are into currently |
