Your parents or siblings. |
Jennyclay:Don't forget your father is a man. Judging by your posts, it's either he wasn't a presence in your life or/and you lack respect for anyone. |
xammax:Speak to your partner and let them know your concerns, as it's probably still early or close to the end of the FY depending on your firm. Should they not listen, apply to another Big 4 (referral is much better) and move on. |
To avoid statements like “After everything I have done for you, I gave you breathe, I made and built you up…” in the next minor misunderstanding. Would rather die of hunger than borrow from a woman who isn't my mother or sister. At least their love has limited conditions. |
Rubbish, men don't cheat for fun but are more likely to cheat when: • She starves her man of sëx, forcing him into banging other women. • She stops making effort into looking pretty, which is a massive turn off. • Due to the above, he begins to find her unattractive but doesn't mean he doesn't love her. He just needs to satisfy his primitive needs. In summary, women should never let their men leave home with an empty stomach and full sack. |
lexy2014:Not my job or OP's to help you understand. Sounds like broke if ₦170k is too much for you to spend on a phone. Stay in your lane… |
Solid post. In addition, • Travelling abroad is completely from living and earning there. • Don't also fall into the trap of converting local currency to Naira as bills will erase this mindset real quick • Ensure to have a partner you're travelling with, especially if you're not the sociable type otherwise you'll struggle with loneliness and depression from the weather. • Ensure to have a solid job or offer with a take home of at least £40,000 after tax before going to the UK as the job search is brutal. |
Kibbs:No mind the broke fellow. Accounting for inflation, ₦170,000 is nothing for a phone. I remember buying a new iPhone 5s for ₦150,000 in 2012 when it launched. Newer top range phones will cost you over ₦450,000 these days. |
lexy2014:Are you paying for the device, otherwise how's it any of your business? Just because you can't afford to doesn't mean OP shouldn't. If you can't make any meaningful contribution, you can always skip the thread. RE OP: You should try getting a used iPhone 12 with at least 90% battery life if you can stretch your budget. iPhones are worth every penny as they last a long time compared to other phones in that range. It will see many more years of meaningful OS updates. Better to save to get what you want than settle for something you'll suffer buyer's remorse for. |
So let me get this straight. • You are a single mother, with two kids who's over 30 years old. • A man who is rich, caring, generous and with the possibility of becoming a king in a few years is interested in you. • He's married, you're not keen on royal family ties, and he's too short for you. Why are you wasting time dealing with someone you clearly have no interest in? Did you post this to seek validation because I really don't understand the point of this post? If you're truly doing great financially then focus on your kids ffs! You seem shallow and you didn't give us a background as to how you ended up as a single mum with 2 kids. No man who is tall, rich, caring and generous will want anything to do with you as they have better options. Why would they even consider you? Men generally don't like raising other men's kids. |
“Sexual lost?” 😭😭😭
|
slawomir: Are you a bot? What's with the “Damnnn niggar” you make before every comment? |
This is excellent news! People who go abroad with nothing to offer except becoming leaches to the government, whilst tarnishing what's left of the Nigerian name out there, deserve no sympathy. Why would you want to leave Nigeria or your home country, if you are settled and established there? Unless you have an ulterior motive, there's nothing special about these other countries, as there's no food for the lazy man. It's not the land of milk and honey as bills dey choke too. You're basically a pay check away from becoming homeless abroad if you don't have an established network. Same can't be said of Naija tbh. |
NAC1666:Speak for yourself. It's kids who play these silly games. |
Wotowotoman:No mind the mumu |
KomonSense: You go just dey yan nonsense. If nepotism na power then so be it. |
These silly broke arse ladies will come on Nairaland and be chatting sh!t. If you can't afford to visit your man, then you're not fit to be called an adult. Go get yourself a damned job and quit being a leach. |
oluplus: Pension, medicals and other benefits are not usually added to net to avoid tax on other incentives. Your taxable income is your net and this was just high level accounting. |
1st class but can't break down simple concept smh. Just do 20% of your gross. For example Gross: ₦3,500,000 Tax: 20% Therefore, multiply Gross x Tax to know what government takes from your gross as tax. ₦3,500,000×20% = ₦700,000 To get your net pay, subtract your gross from how much government takes ₦3,500,000 – ₦700,000 Net Pay= ₦2,800,000 To get your monthly pay, divide your net pay by 12 ₦2,800,000/12 Monthly pay = ₦233,333.33 In summary, if your gross is ₦3,500,000 with tax at 20%, your net pay is ₦2,800,000 and your salary is ₦233,333.33 or just ask for your payslip. |
I really struggle to see what the average simpleton sees in this sort of “reality” TV show. I blame the high unemployment rate in Nigeria for making these randoms into believing they actually add value to society, as they tend to feel self-important because of their jobless fans. |
I really struggle to see what the average simpleton sees in this sort of “reality” TV show. Took some time to actually go through these profiles, and they seemed so washed up. Lots of “has-been” who don't want to let go of the “spotlight”. I blame the high unemployment rate in Nigeria for making these randoms into believing they actually add value to society, as they tend to feel self-important because of their jobless fans. |
DanielsParker: ₦100k isn't liveable salary in Lagos. Anything lower than ₦250k for entry level in 2023 is poverty tbh. To add a bit of context, ₦100k is $117.65… |
The question is, what the hell have you been doing for 27 years of your adult life? |
How many HP? 🤭 |
Demand and supply simple. |
Are we supposed to feel sorry for you? How can someone earning this low keep reproducing so many kids? You are an irresponsible person who doesn't deserve any help. Man up and deal with your own problem. |
You could send me pics to confirm. 😒
|
Count yourself lucky they let you in. |
This is what happens when you focus on your career and forget to build character and personality. Besides her cosy job, what else has she got to offer that makes her stand out from a guy's POV? The thing about “the abroad” is no one gives a flying toss about you. It's worse if you're a black woman, as you're at the bottom of the dating ladder. My advice is she should go get some real hobbies, begin to volunteer for causes she believes in as a way to meet new people. Join local communities and be humble, as men are not impressed by a woman's career or income. Men don't want to date men, so women need to stop trying to be one. |
The Nigerian passport is as useless as a misplaced passport at an immigration checkpoint |
Where's members of her family? TF? |
easzypeaszy:I'm almost certain OP will be going to work every day. Have you seen struggle when looking to find transport after closing time? It's hell abeg. |
