tosinet:There's a third option; Govt can address the standards/requirement of employer concerning discrimination of HND holders. |
tosinet:The solution On the part of FG/SG- Is to fix the industries for HND holders to thrive. On the part of the HND holder- get admission into University to get the benefits of BSc. |
babakb:That is not the only solution. You want the benefits of BSc, then get a BSc at a University. You want the prize without paying the price and sacrifice. The country no doubt failed the HND holders by not providing the suitable industries for them to thrive and prosper as they used to. But the solution is not to convert the degree since they are different degrees. The solution On the part of FG/SG- Is to fix the industries for HND holders to thrive. On the part of the HND holder- get admission into University to get the benefits of BSc. |
Andrenalin:Exactly, they are different qualifications from different institutions. Go to a University and get your BSc degree if you want its benefits. You can't ask the institution to change themselves and change their goals and objectives to suit your needs. Na wa oh. |
babakb:And the solution is to convert it? Who does that? |
FreeStuffsNG:Well said and powerfully instructive points. HND holders who take their courses seriously usually fair better than BSc holders on the field because they are more grounded in the technicalities and hands-on practicals. While some BSc courses like wise afford technicalities and practical, the focus is ually more theoretical. So converting HND to BSc is actially ludicrous and asinine to say the least. To idea alone reeks of intellevctual decadence and high sense of insecurity of the minds that conceived it. But then again, this country has been upside down since the 80s and writer rightly noted. By God's Grace,Nigeria's name is changing from Ichabod to Greater Glory in Jesus name. Amen |
Macphenson:If IPOB is not a terrorist group as they claim, then the onus is on them TO exonerate themselves by providing the terrorist group behind the sit-at-home order and those attacking and murdering those who do not comply. They should produce the group behind the voter intimidation in the East during the elections that ensured block votes for Peter Obi. They should provide the group that produced the ESN faction. They should produce the group under the other pseudonym "unknown gun men". They should explain the group that nearly made Imo state ungovernable for Hope Uzodinmma and other governors against IPOB. It's really a no-brainer. If in deed an Enugu judge gave this verdict, then he should be invited because he is himself among the stakeholders of the terrorist group- IPOB. |
Rostikol:God has remembered Africa. |
NOC1:The Aura is some thing else. He carry Presence. Effortlessly Charismatic. |
Honestfrend:Nah, Unrepentant Obidients have taken all the wards. If God's favor finds you, you'll be healed. |
Honestfrend:Nigeria judiciary you no trust. US judiciary you no trust. Abeg which judiciary you go fit trust? Because this is an indication that you clearly don't trust even God's judiciary. Only Satan judiciary carry this kind annoying anointing. |
jaephoenix:1. Ok, didn't know that was yours. Ran into it earlier this year but couldn't comment cos there was too much to address. And I am sure some one must have said whatever needed to be said. The question is the state of your mind, are you willing to accept the Truth? What counts as validation of Truth for you? The irony is that I was going to open a similar thread to support your argument last year when I had backslid, now I find myself on the other side. God is not without a sense of humor. ![]() I don't think there's any thing new I can say on the matter that some one else hasn't said, it may simply a matter of how I say it and if you are willing to accept the Truth even if you don't agree with it. If you are determined to hate some one, do you know that even I love you from that person will sound so irritating? If you are determined to not to accept that White is white, no matter what some one says, you will claim it is at best Grey and not White. Just because you do not want to be proven wrong. By the way, the idea of some thing being True is not subject to opinion. The Truth is the Truth, whether or not you choose to agree. Exceptions however could be a matter of Perspective or Perception. Perception being how you see things. Perspective being the angle you are looking from. In Mathematics, for example, a simple arithmetic as 1+ 1 is subject to several answers. If you're in primary school, the answer is invariably 2 and no one can tell you otherwise. But as you advance to secondary and tertiary institutions, the answer could be 2 or 10 or etc depending on the Number base. It is like wise with spiritual knowledge, there is advancement in understanding. I perceive you lost faith at the verge of a situation that was meant for your advancement. And unfortunately you may not outgrow that stage until you get that requisite understanding. 2. I thought I answered it, my bad. The Israelites are a nomadic nation. They emigrated from Canaan(Palestine/Philistine) to Egypt for greener pastures. After 430 years they returned to their land Canaan but it was already inhabited by the Palestines/Philistines. God helps them conquer the lands again only for them to abandon God and He raises another nation to take them to captivity. They repent and he restores them to their lands. The cycle always continues even till date. When they disobey God, he raise a nation to hold them captive and they are scattered. When they repent, he restores them. |
Truths9ja:She is unexonerable. The dad holds the primary blame if he's aware of Mohbad's calling. But the mom who received the prophecy is definitely to blame. It depends largely on the cause of the divorce/separation and who's responsible. |
Rikze: some times epistles are necessary. For the rice, I'll suggest you try Mama Gold or Bull. |
Truths9ja:As much as we've come to like Mohbad and his music, we must understand that he was no angel and he made many mistakes on his pursuit for success and fame. His mom in an interview with TVC said he was a prophetic child. While in her womb he was prophesied to be a prophet. (That's a Jeremiah's calling.) Unfortunately his mom and dad allowed the devil to break up their home and they divorced. This destabilised the young Imole's path. Without his mom to guide and steward the prophecy upon his life, he ended up abandoning his calling. The sharp contrast between the trajectory of his calling and his reality is so glaring and jarring. 1. He was meant to be a prophet, but he chose secular music- Afropop (not even Gospel or inspirational music. 2. He could have signed under a responsible record label but he chose Marlian music. He practically signed a deal with the devil. 3. He could have stayed with Christ for protection but it would seem he chose Cultism instead. 4. He could have quit the music industry if it meant selling his soul but he chose to sell his soul literally. He was said to have lost his peace of mind. He became restless and feared for his life and family because he of the dividends of his choice. Every choice has its commensurate consequence. His mom in the interview mentioned how she kept reminding him of his prophetic calling when she returned to his life recently but he simply smiled because he know what he had gotten himself into, how far gone he was. Accordingvto his dad, he tried to build a church. An Evangelist I know claimed Mohbad was lucky to give his life to Christ before he passed away. I sincerely pray that was true because not many get that opportunity like the thief at the right hand of Christ. I sincerely hope we all pick the necessary lessons from this life and times of this young man. I shudder at the thought of how many souls were tied to the Grace of God that was intended for his prophetic calling and how fulfilled he would have lived if he had truly known, believed and followed his calling faithfully. All I can say is, it is well. May God console his family. May justice be done concerning his death. Let's not make emotional judgments. Let's patiently wait for the right authorities to carry out the necessary investigation, forensics and informed judgment. Iy is their profession and they are experts at it especially when they are obligated to deliver. As much as I do not support Naira Marley and his way of life, he may not ve culpable for the murder of Mohbad even though he's a major suspect. Mohbad's childhood friend has been picked as the prime suspect. I believe other suspects or persons of interests in this crime are also being investigated. Let's wait for the judgment. |
olulekan1992:This is so well articulated and presented. You should send this to a professional media House like Business Week or PunchNews etc. Thanks for sharing. |
Rikze:I can only speak for myself. As passionate as I was once about politics, Buhari successfully doused that fire. And I am glad he did. Because it made me re-route my passion. I turned to God for help instead of government or anyone else. I started living like a responsible human being not because of Nigeria but because I became a child of God. When you follow God, He builds you to become a responsible follower and leader- A servant-leader. On that journey, l learnt to submit to leaders- Pastors and superiors older and younger than me and endure some of their weaknesses while also enjoying the benefits I got from the Grace of God on them. I addressed some of my challenges with them because I know from scripture not to be treat them as gods and also not to be a hypocrite while also giving them their due honor. Walking with Christ through life honestly takes your eyes off a lot of the things that don't matter, because your eyes are focused on the weightier things that matter; Mercy, Faith and Judgment. You see life through the eyes/mind of God. So Yes, by God's grace I know I will be submissive to the Authority of the sitring President even if he were not my preferred candidate and even if I disagree with his some of his policies simply because submission to Authority is non-negotiable as abeliever. I'd rather pray to join the system to participate in our collective Prosperity. |
Rikze:The rate was terrible then but its terribly horrible today. But if we will learn to chew the meat of his tweet and throw away thr bone, then we will know that to give the Naira a chance, we have to start patronising our Nigerian produce especially food items. Why are we still desperately rushing foreign rice like our local rice is poison? Democracy is govt of the people for the people by the people. Salvaging the Naira and the overall prosperity of Nigeria is not the responsibility of the appointed leaders only but a collective responsibility of every citizen, the followers inclusive. Let's minimise imports and improve on exports. The President, CBN governor, Bank of Industry, Nigeria Customs, etc can only play their part, we have to play our own parts as well. |
Yankiss:This is true feminism- leading by example to fight for equal rights where it matters. Not pseudo-feminists- men haters who are not satisfied until men are emasculated. |
Kelechi009:Back-up is for those who are in sexual/carnal relationships. If you're not carnal minded, some times you're not even looking for relationship, yet relationships keeping find you. The lady may even be friend-zoning her husband until some one or God opens your eyes and reveals it to you. For guys, you may find yourself surrounded by so many godly ladies, the problem becomes choosing the one that aligns with God's vision for your life/calling. If we can only obey God's template and commit our challenges into his hands... |
franchasofficia:Yes, the whites brought development but just like in Nigeria it came at a costly price. Black South Africans just like Israelites were nomadic. After one of their usually migrations, they came back to meet their lands inhabited by the Whites. Till date white South Africans hold on to the calim that they never met anyone in the lands and so it is their land. And really, can they be blamed? But even they know it was never their lands to begin with since they simply emigrated there and probably met some forms of settlements. Thank God for Mandela and other revolutionaries, the whites really did a number on the black South Africans. |
nelboy:1. Defense mechanism. Unlike some countries marriage is not optional in Nigeria and being single is demonised. In order to handle the pressure from family and society, some ladies have resolved to make themselves unapproachable to insensitive people. Though it may not be the best solution as they may end up unapproachable to everyone, pushing away even their prospective suitors or helpers. 2. Character flaws. Some are unmarried cos of bad character, anger issues being one of them. Anger is hereditary in some families, and they need to deal with this prayerfully. 3. Frustration/Depression. Some are actually getting desperate to marry and getting frustrated that they're not getting any younger and the singles pool is a jungle. They're probably still healing from their previous relationship that went south. Depression starts kicking in in some cases. 4. Depends on the location. Commuting in certain states will make you naturally develop anger issues. Not mentioning names but Lagosians are trying sha, we deserve palliatives- government sponsored vacation to restore us to factory settings. ![]() That said, we need to improve as a People. Marriage is a blessing but even Jesus Christ agrees that it's not compulsory. In fact according to Paul, he wished we could all stay singlelike him because being single is such a blessing too especially for those following their purpose in life. Marriage becomes simply the icing on the cake if you choose to marry. God bless the singles. God bless the married. Let's learn to be sensitive and respect one another. God bless Nigeria. |
BItt:Just kidding. Though some times, there's an iota of truth even in our jokes. It's OK to convert your hunger to fast. There was a time fasting became a natural way of life for me. Cos I just wasn't comfort.able with the way things were anymore. When I started to see the prayers answered, the results were much more, even incomparable to the fast. It matters what you pray for. If you're a believer, just study the bible and pray to hear God, rather than pray your heart desires. What will be revealed may not make sense to you but just pray. It helps if you pray in tongues too. About how you can manage 5k weekly, it's clearly not easy for a student or anyone at all. In your place of prayer, ideas will come. What course are you studying? |
Fhaze:Dey fast and pray. Food for your spirit. As flesh dey hungry, spirit dey belle-full. ![]() |
Coolsat:Must you always link her with her past? Imagine if everyone was bringing up your regrettable past every time? Honestly being a celebrity isn't for the faint hearted. Love her or hate her, Tonto is making the right moves for her life and future. And by God's grace, if she still desires to marry, God bless her with a good husband she will effortlessly be a good wife too in Jesus name. Amen |
jaephoenix:I wish you'd open a thread concerning these. Some of these questions have been raised and addressed here already but it's always good to raise them for new understanding. 1. Israelites just like in the bible seem to be nomadic in nature. Since Abraham, isaac and Jacob/Israel. The ongoing war between Palestine/Philistine and Israel is the same one that was documemt in the bible. So you can see that the Bible is in fact an historical book of facts. Jacob and the whole of Israel left Canaan for Egypt during the great famine at the behest of his son Joseph who was then the Prime Minister of Egypt. Unfortunately when the Pharoah and a generation died, subsequent Pharoah enslaved them. And for 400 (430) years as prophesied they were enslaved. It took another 40 years (a generation) for them to return from Egypt to Canaan which had them been inhabited by other tribes. This marked the beginning of the wars. The reason God allowed this is also detailed in the bible. 2. Every religion can be a charade but God isn't. When you encounter God, He leads you to the Truth. |
zionstaar75:Thanks for your observation. However it would seem it is you who needs adequate knowledge. The True Gospel is in deed good news and it is about our the Kingdom of God including the Prosperity of our spirit, soul and body- all our needs inclusive according to God's will. However Prosperity gospel is a misnomer/pseudonym for the gospel in question. The appropriate name for it is Money or Mammon gospel. And it was preached against in the bible. Ministers who preached it were said to have followed the Way of Balaam. Jude.1.11 - Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. |
Stephen2324:If woman love and trust you, she can go to heaven or hell for you to succeed. But if woman hate you, start to dey fast and pray. |
Bluezy13:Father, Son and Holy Spirit are 3 manifestations of the same 1 God. Like Water in 3 different states. Father (Liquid), Son (Solid) and Holy Spirit (Gas). |
Bluezy13:On a second thought, the Creator is also a part of the project, since man (Adam) was actually created in the image and likeness of God. Though first Adam failed as well. Then second Adam (Jesus Christ) succeeded. And created a new product backlog. Anyone who comes into Christ now follows the new Product Backlog. Life is the Sprint/iteration. So man is Creator/Product Owner, Project manager and a part of the project. Guess this explains Trinity. Satan is simoky a failed project manager from a previous project. Who is hell-bent on frustrating the new project manager to prove that if he could not succeed, no man can. Thank God, Jesus Christ (Second Adam) and New Projevt Manager proved him wrong. I seem to have complicated it. Hope you do get it though? |
jaephoenix:1. Kindly clarify bolded. Have heard it a number of times but doesn't make sense to me. 2. What was the question and hope you don't mind sharing your answer as well? |
Ayodeoba:It may be Chlamydia, it's an STI but treatable. Encourage her that you both need to go for check up. |

Different strokes for different folks. If it were in Nigeria, Tinubu joining Labour strike would get us all cracking with laughter. On a serious note, It's good to have serious and people friendly leaders!
