jaephoenix:Most Nigerians today are idol worshippers. Our generation of Nigerians worship the God of money- Mammon and not the Almighty God. Which is why Propserity gospel sells here not Gospel of Jesus Christ Crucified. When was the last time you heard a believer say they're genuinely born again? But by God's Grace, we are transitioning from idolatry and Reigion to Godliness. |
hammerFC:And single angry parents are the death of their children. Churning out misogynists and misandrists. There's a need to distinguish between feminism and misandry. Feminism is fighting for fair rights for women. Misandry is hatred for men. So many ladies have become so easily triggered especially by the word rape or any form of abuse that once you mention it, they see you as supporting rape even when you aren't supportive of rape. True, rape is heinous and actual rapists deserve to be punished with the full arm of the law even death sentence. But to assume any mention of the word supports rape is just emotional immaturity. Is it also not true that alcohol/substances induce carelessness and wrong judgements? Why will you get drunk or high around strangers and expect them to act gentlemanly? Ladies should learn to take responsibility for some of the misfortunes they bring upon themselves. You dress and look like a harlot among perverts and you expect them not to act sexually perverted? As much as perverts deserve to be punished for being perverts. Victims that put themselves in harms way should also take responsibility and blame. Of course there are exceptions. Some rape cases are simply force mature. In such case no blame should be apportioned to such victims. It's sad to see this PM throw away her marriage and deny their little child the benefit of a stable home/family simoly because her mom or media transfered the Spirit of misandry into her. |
SoNature:He may be knowledgeable but he lacks both Wisdom and Understanding. He's rude and unprofessional. That's what he is. And for you to support him shows you are cut from the same cloth. Wisdom is profitable to direct. There are more knowledgeable journalists and presenters who don't argue with everyone. They air their opinions/views professionally and listen actively to others. Listen to exchange views not to argue. That way both of you can learn from eachbother and also respect each other. But then You can't give what you dont have or even know. |
Soulsymbol99:Every thing you Obidients/naysayers predicted about Tinubu and this administration has been proven wrong and ignorant over and over again. Una no dey tire? |
YourBestWriter:Guess he saw you remorse and sense of responsibility. That's a rarity lately. But you can ask him if you're cleared just to be sure. |
silvoclaira:The Love of money is the root of all evil. A certain tribe is known/notorious for this. And for teaching others to do same. Yet they're the ones calling every one else corrupt. When you're wise in your own heart, thinking you're smarter than everyone else, it's simply a matter of time before your foolishness comes under floodlight. 1Cor.3.18 - Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 1Cor.3.19 - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness"; 1Cor.3.20 - and again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile." |
Bobloco:Sure. Some times God allows the will of the people. But it backfires. And I've come to find that it is better to simply discern and align with God's will. The prayer is to train ourselves to gracefully know and do God's will. |
Bobloco:Which is better, the will of the people or the will of God? Let the story of Nimrod and Tower of Babel guide your answer. |
blueghost:I don't think it's wrong to introduce the words. It's the proper education of it that's the issue. It's the school's responsibility to educate children. I believe the Education Research Centre and other institutions responsible for that have scrutinised the content before approval. Gumi is simply a religious bigot who is consumed by his own perverted heart. |
kaludestiny10:Do you? Did you read the statement at all? You can choose not to believe the statement but if you truly read and understood the statement, then you will believe it had no political undertone. Simply interesting timing. I hope Sen Ifeanyi Ubah also releases a statement to clarify his choice of defecting. He has chosen well. His good works have delivered him. I remember when Capitol Oil came to the rescue of Nigerians during fuel scarcity/hoarding some years ago. |
jaephoenix:1. He respects our right to choose. He gave us will power so that we are not like robots. We can choose to obey or disobey. We can choose to submit to authority or rebel against authorrity. We can choose life or death. We can choose to forgive or nor forgive and we can choose to repent or not repent, we can choose to love or hate. Etc Each choice bearing its commensurate consequences. 2. Most of them don't believe in God. They can have no peace of mind or joy. They depend on things, substances, events for solace. 3. Is rebellion against divine order. It does not obey the blessing of fruitfulness. It corrupts others. 4. There's a spiritual transition from religion to Christ-likeness/Godliness. And there's a manifestation of it in various spheres/sectors of the country- Political, Business, Academical, Social etc. |
GanagiBitrus:There is some thing as overdo. The strike action has been abused. Wike is doing well. |
xin5:Proverbs 6:25-26 25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, Nor let her allure you with her eyelids. 26 For by means of a harlot A man is reduced to a crust of bread; And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life. It's a major bondage. For the sake of your mom and hope of your future family, Go for deliverance and give your life to Christ. |
Handsomejok:I don't know how your early marriage was but she does not love you any more, she is simply co-habiting with you for the sake for the children. She may not be attacking you physically but her spirit is warring with yours. Usually not a supporter of rekindling old flames, but since you were only separated and not divorced and also you have children together, you should try to make it work. Pray about it and ask her why she does not seem to love you any more. And what she wants both of you to do differently. Trust and Good Communication is everything. Let her know your plans for her and you children together. Please do not make any promises you cannot keep. Because she will never forget your promise and will feel cheated if you don't keep them. What ever you both decide, commit into God's hands. Please, you should both agree to put God first in your lives and especially in your home. |
marvellous2222:You both need each other. You need to be motivated to be more successful. She needs to learn contentment. She needs to start work or business to know the value of earning money even as little as 50 Naira. She needs to learn that your family with her comes first and her other family is now secondary. Her father needs to know you're her head now. He has handed her over to you in marriage. You all need to know that Christ/Word of God is the head of us all. Thanks for sharing and as you invite Christ to be the head of your families, may your home know Peace, Joy, Wisdom, Honor and Love of God and Love for one another. Proverbs 19:14 Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord. |
guobe:Why does any one commit any sin? It makes no sense. It's the evil/sinful nature in man (humanity). Before you judge any one, you know your own secret sins, why do you keep committing those sins? Until that nature is removed and another nature replaces it, advice falls on deaf ears- efforts to futility. If you know the person, simply pray for her and do your part to counsel her. She may or may not come to her senses. Some will learn the easy way, some cannot learn except the hard way. Unfortunately some may never learn till they die. |
Idaytesj29:Read it again and realize I was neither for nor against any religion. Hamas is passionate/zealous/fanatic for their God and their people, the Palestinians/Philistines. Israel is likewise passionate/zealous for their God and their people. Palestinians and Israelites/Jews have agreed through the Abraham Accords to coexist peacefully. Hamas is a group within Palestine who rose against the excesses of Israel. Kind of like Boko Haram against Christians, or IPOB against the Nigerian government. The zeal/passion of Hamas is what drove them to attack Israel and in retaliation Israel who is way powerful than they are has been decimating them ever since. It is difficult to blame the Palestinians for supporting Hamas as it seems they are fighting for their God and their cause. But there are better and diplomatic ways and measures to Issue resolution which other countries in similar condition has adopted and which is working for them. It is really sad to watch history repeat itself in this vicious cycle. But then again, this was all prophesied in the bible. Both parties are suffering for their rejection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This is a hard saying but Truth is some times a bitter pill to swallow. |
ISLAMBAD:Hamas by definition means passion/enthusiasm/zeal. As good as zeal/passion is, it is very delicate and dangerous. Zeal is born out of love or hate. It will make you a freedom fighter or a terrorist. It will make you a good person or an evil person. The Zeal of Saul of Tarsus made him a fighter for the God of Israel but a terrorist against Christ and murderer of Christians, not realizing he was fighting against the same God. Until he finally found Grace and encountered Christ personally. Sadly Nigeria has her own "Hamas" groups- IPOB (Unknown Gunmen) and Boko Haram. My God deliver us all from religious zeal.passion/fanatism. That we may know and understand God experientially and His Peace and Love and His Purpose as we understand His Plans across Times and Seasons. |
TheMiracleMag:God bless and honor good women. Good women are so rare to find in this generation. So many women/girls carry about angry, vengeful, selfish hearts towards men and this is killing our men and our children. God created woman as a Help(er) meet/suitable for the man. When women truly understand this and choose to help men, the world will indeed be a better place. I pray men also learn to earn the trust of women and not abuse God's gift to man. There's a reason the woman is God's last created being- she is the crown of creation. Selah In God's hands she is so powerfully helpful. In the devil's hands, she is so powerfully dangerous. May God deliver us all from Misogynists and Misandrists and whatever names they call themselves lately. |
NewManFred:I appreciate your honesty. God values our sincerity. Every thing you have shared here is true. Except putting the blame on the Creator/God. When the reality of life hits one, it's overwhelming. I perceive you were raised in a Christian home from your little references to the Christian God. The Christian God is the Creator. You have to Know Him personally to understand life. You have to know him to understand the enemy of mankind- Satan whom you should blame and not God. You have to know why the Creator created the heavens and earth and every thing in them. This is what we call Purpose. As Myles Monroe rightly posited, Where Purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable. If you do not know the purpose of Nairaland, you will misuse it as many do. You may not realise that many are getting jobs, getting educated, getting saved, getting business contracts, etc here. You may not understand that Seun Osewa is the owner and not the mods. You may even blame the mods for what another member of Nairaland like you and I did. You may blame Seun for being scammed on NL. You may blame Seun for being banned where as you were banned by an antispam bot. Life is how you see/view/perceive it based on the knowledge/unserstanding/Mindset you have. I have been in your shoes and I believe any one who is sincere and has a good heart must experience this religious quagmire and question it. It's OK to question things and to ask God questions. But it's not OK to question God. The difference is in how you present your questions. You have asked very cogent questions and God Himself in His Mercy and Grace will grant you answers as you seek to know the Truth in Jesus name. And you will come to understand it all and be Grateful to God and for God. God bless and favor you. |
jaephoenix:You confirmed what I said. Those countries are not godly (spiritual) but they are materially blessed. (Rich and developed). Most of them started well with God and when God blessed them they forgot God. They may be financially better than Nigeria but the spiritual challenges they are battling with are nit funny. That's why they have so much issues of LGBTQ,, self love, all forms of vices that provoke God to destroy nations. When one encounters Christ, there will always be a difference. The old person/nature must be continually destroyed. That process is not usually easy or timed. That's the kind of transition Nigeria is presently experiencing. I pray when God lifts us up, we won't forget God. We will continue to God for the rest of our lives in Jesus name. Amen |

MAYOWAAK:It's not a crime to have any amount of cash. The bank simply has to report any such amount in deposit. The bank not reporting it is the crime. |
wittywriter:Wittiness is supposed to mean application of Wisdom and Understanding for Good/Sound judgment/decisions. An irony of your Wittyness. Until you understand the effect of fuel subsidy as obtainable in Nigeria due to corruption, you will not appreciate the future effect of the removal of the fuel subsidy. The journey from the past misappropriation and the future good (if properly appropriated) cannot be wished away. We have to endure a short suffering. I believe by next year we will begin to enjoy the dividends of the fuel subsidy removal as well as other economic and financial policies being implemented. If you know economics and financial experts, they know the implications. Unbiased expert judgment/analysis is what you need to understand all what Nigeria is going through presently. This administration is an answer to several years of prayers both on federal and state levels. Only give them time and pray for them. God has indeed remembered Nigeria.
|
NaijaCoverBlog:When God delays marriage some times, it's not because He is wicked but because this generations is full of evil men and women who do not fear God. In fact, devil dey fear them because devil atleast still fear God. When we understand this, we should ask ourselves some salient and sincere questions; 1. Do I fear God? 2. Do I love God and people? 3. Am I sure I am not the reason relationships are not working? 4. Am I the bad person? 5. Can I actually do this evil to someone? 6. Do I need help? 7. Where can I get help? |
Michael547:There's a difference between asking God questions and questioning God. "God cannot be questioned." This means when He makes a decision or passes a judgment, who can judge him? Who can tell him what he's doing is wrong? You can only ask him question to know why. Read the book of Job , you will understand. |
NCBLOG:Heartbreak no be anybody mate. Pray to never experience how low she got. Unfortunately suicide is never the answer. This is why never love anyone more than God and yourself. If we are able to love God wholeheartedly, we would know that even if, God forbid, we lost any loved one, life goes on. And what's important is to ensure we are living a purposeful life. But this level of love and trust for God is not easy to confess cos you can never truly know what you'd do unless you find yourself in that position. I pray God comforts both families involved. Life is full of evil, very dangerous place to live outside Christ. |
FreeStuffsNG:Why is she so concerned about distance when they're still dating? I was a big fan of Moet Abebe and Sound City's OAPs but she needs to be sure what she wants. Distance would only be a major issue when you have ulterior intentions. If meeting is once or twice in a month and in a public place, why is distance a major issue for the one you intend to spend the rest of your life with? Thanks to Video calls distance is no longer a barrier to building good relationships and strong bonds. Some husbands and wives even spend months due to job, even though this isn't advisable for married couples. Its usually difficult meddling in some affairs except when one or both parties involved actually believe in God and godly principles/ways. I hope she finds true love (Christ) and he helps her through life including a glorious and fruitful marriage. |
MegaBozz:This is a tough one. It depends on the oil firm in question. Some oil firms will be badly hit by this new administration. Pray about it. I perceive Canada will be a good option for you. May God guide you. |
Easyincome24:It has varied over time; 1. In Pry and Sec, it was my jovial/playful/sporty nature. 2. In Uni it was my creativity and good looks. 3. Presently, I realize it has always been God's Grace. God is my sine qua non factor. |
kettykin:God's kingdom's focus is not materialism but spiritual. God can bless you materially but that's not the focus. Romans 14:16-19 16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. The reason Nigeria is not prospering financially is simple, we have not proven to be faithful/trustworthy even in the little money (unrighteous mammon) God has given us. A little money and we start misbehaving. Money easily reveals people's true nature, even pastors. Luke 16:10-12 10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? Besides, it's obvious most churches preach the prosperity (financial/money) gospel and it is not the Gospel. You cannot serve God and Mammon. You have to choose one. Godliness is not for gain but for the salvation of the soul and pursuing the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. 1 Timothy 6 What God has charted for each person is the BEST WILL/PLAN/DESTINY for them. Unfortunately, we do not know/trust God's plan. Only God can reveal this as we learn to follow Christ through the Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit... Faithfully. |
GuruboiNaija:This is a very sensitive post. The Adoration ministry is a special gift to the Catholic church. It is God's divine plan to redeem his children that have fallen into the error of idolatry of the Catholic church. The Person of the Holy Spirit has been replaced by Mary the mother of Jesus. I pray true believers pray for God's children in Catholic church. Any of these could happen; 1. The Adoration Ministry will have to dissociate from Catholic church. 2. The Catholic church in Nigeria will need to correct this idolatry. 3. The Catholic church world wide will need to correct this idolatry. Grace and Mercy to the Body of Christ. |
