The pastor of the church I attend asked me two months ago if I have paid my tithe, and I said to myself, "During this lockdown when business isn't going too good, you still asking if I have paid my tithe". I told him no, I rather sent the money to a friend whose source of income is based on his daily earning, and he(the pastor) asked why did I do that, that I should have paid the money to church first, then tell the church to send assistance to that my friend.

I finally concluded this man is just after money. Since then, I stopped paying my tithe, I'd rather give it to someone who needs it more.

I went to a colleague's church as an invited member, I noticed the parents in that church don't have more than three kids, even the pastor himself. Well, I'd say Street and University because, I have had girls I didn't have the opportunity to bang on my street come to my school to visit me, and you know the rest. University days was wow. I enjoyed my final year days the most because once I talk to any girl and she realizes I'm in my finals, there's this level of respect attached to it, then next thing she's at my place on Friday to spend the weekend.

My NYSC days, I was very fortunate and slightly unfortunate to get a religious firm as my PPA, my boss was a staunch churchy and he offered me accommodation in a self-con with standard bed, wardrobe and usually send foodstuff to me one a while but on the condition of "No females allowed to sleep over". My camp gf was staying in their church family house, so "away game" was cancelled as well. I didn't get enough coochies while I was serving because of the rule of my boss, and I was too focused on my life after NYSC to even start thinking about females and how to smuggle them in without those eyes watching me. I spent my weekends thinking about business and working part time to support my allowee.

So from my experience, I'd say Street and school gave me all the coochies. NYSC life was more of goal and business oriented than getting laid.

Lagos is good for business due to population growth....even if you sell popcorn in a busy street you will make your money...but your standard of living is low due to the fact that you are stressed 80% of the time coupled with anxiety issues.

As a young fresh graduate, I would not advice anyone to come here to do 9to5, e no pay unless na oil and gas, telcomms or tech brother. Most entry level sef no dey earn pass 150k...half of that goes to tfare..feeding...and family members...you are running the rat race.. If you are still doing nysc...save the living shit out of that money, go back home..start POS, scanning, printing, passport photograph..infact just have a busy place that churns out money daily...within 6 months...find another location and replicate the same business. That's how you build a viable business.

Alternatively, if you want to go the entrepreneurship route in Lagos, there are good hubs u can go to learn work (computer village, trade fair, Alaba, idumota, ladipo)...after a while you can start up...but if you don't have the means ..na east sure pass....I know one big time business man for east....he dey enter Lagos via night bus to buy goods...that same day...he don enroute go back base... So it depends on what works for you like i said..the internet has demystified entrepreneurship now...u can stay in sambisa forest and do business.

Lol. Bro, I can feel the anger in the truth. I was born and raised in Lagos but NYSC took me to another state 5hrs from Lagos. It was peace and quiet, cheap housing accommodation, transport is N50 to almost any where, steady power supply all through, you can buy a land less than 1m close to the city, and erect your building without omo-oniles coming to disturb you.
My father has been building his house close to Festac for almost 5yrs now because of omo-oniles. Lagos is over frustrating and overhyped. The disadvantages of residing in Lagos outweigh the advantages by far.
As soon as I'm gallant enough to go solo in this my business, I'm moving back to start life there full time
