Flee flee flee this rubbish country. Which kin 250k? I know 250k no be beans for Naija, but if you have a chance to go to US, haba, you can put away $1-2k if you are wise. Invest that money in US stocks. After 5 years, at least you'll see what your hard work has gotten you. Not here where your money halves in value every five years: saving your naira over those 5 years is like taking half your money and burning it in the bush. If you asked me five years ago, I would have opted to stay. But my people, if you gats the chance, just japa and go and live decently. Unlike here being under the constant threat of death/arrest/extortion and other bull. There are enough Nigerians in the abroad so you won't miss much. Owambe wambe. Food dey. Girls dey. Boys dey. Church dey. Just a bit of cold, but you go adapt. Use your most productive years wisely and flee this forsaken place, abeg. |
And for those 9 months, who is paying for natal care and obgyn visits? Buying cot, baby clothes, sanitizer, and all the gongoro that comes with a baby? Who's running up and down to get what madam needs, and dealing with her moods? And for the remaining 24 years, who is paying for milk, diapers, bottles, naming ceremony, school fees from ota akara all the way to university, lesson fees, the neighbor's broken window, and hospital bills? You think it's easy working 12-16 hours everyday just to see your children eat all your salary, while you manage one beer a week? All the sleepless nights, disciplining, training that men do for their children is what? Let me hear somebody yarn this rubbish my way. ![]() |
Kevv420:Deny her sex for a month or two. Just hold yourself - or if you can't - olosho dey. Just wrap up sha. Are you sure it's because of work, or she's found the love of her life outside, and you're just her roomate who pays all the rent. |
Unless APC is able to conjure up some votes, I wish to congratulate governor Soludo for a brilliant campaign, and may he be allowed to lead Anambra unto glory. ![]() |
The devil caused you to crash a car into a tree? No snow, no pothole, no oncoming traffic, no huge animal. Not even burst tire, because it looks like the front passenger tire got punctured at impact with the curb. If I was to guess, I'd say somebody was busy looking at her phone while driving, but I'm no forensic expert... ![]() |
Of course people will start saying all kinds of crap. What's the difference between rings on finger and toes? Round things on digits. Just because you're not used to it doesn't mean it's bad. Why does the Pope wear a ring, or necklace? Jesus never did, so it must have been strange for the first Pope to wear a "Fisherman's ring". Why do Christians wear rings or chains? Why then does it matter whether it's a nose ring, finger ring, toe ring, necklace, waist beads, ankle necklace, ear-ring or nipple ring? |
Awards here and there... only to lose the election... abeg no fall our hand oh. ![]() |
ledaman:And exactly what leverage does he need? To become a servant to those in power? You think they will listen to Mr. Macaroni's opinions? This is obviously a recruitment exercise for 2023. All those who have been invited to VP, what good have they done for our country and the population at large? Let the VP invite 100 widows and empower them with the money spent on this ceremony. I personally admire this man's guts... in my opinion he is the visionary in this story, because he's looking past even his own benefit. I see him following in the footsteps of greats like Baba Fela and Maazi Achebe in the way they spoke truth to power. Chinua Achebe declined government's attempt to name him a Commander of the Federal Republic, twice. The title and the invitation ultimately means nothing, if the government is still doing the wrong thing. |
Daddy wa nice one jare. You're doing well. Instead of government to concentrate on good governance, they are on one hand ignoring the hardship and silencing protests, and on the other hand giving out awards. Na ceremony we go chop? ![]() |
E don tay since I dey chase girl sha oh... but when I was "in the world", as long as it takes. The longest would have been like 3 years, but that's because I put her on back-burner while I pursued others. We don't have to concentrate on just one... keep many in the basket and rotate as needed. What's really painful is upon all the shakara for 3 years, and wiping, madam was not even up to my standards in many ways. E pain me sha. |
Hanty... when kasala bursts, it won't matter whether marriage was in court, white, traditional or whatever. What wise women have done is this: when times are good, channel some of your salary, and/or allowance into building property, business, or even just paper investments... owning something in your own name, apart from him. If uncle doesn't agree, that's a sign you should do it anyway without his knowledge, because uncle won't defend you when his relatives come like hungry dogs. Uncle also won't seek your permission to like another woman, either. Foolish women spend all they get on fancy bags and clothing, forgetting that there's a season for everything. The pastor and others that are preaching: "women submit to your husbands, it's God's will", is not going to feed you when your husband passes or decides to move on. |
Sorry brother, but this is the harsh truth: Dubai police won't arrest the madam... dem go settle am sharp sharp. Even if they arrest madam, you think they won't hire somebody to harvest your sister? Whether she is in Dubai or Nigeria, they may find her and kill her. She should just jejely be the best damn sales girl she can be. That's the best advice given she owes them plenty. |
Ppogbae:Baaadt guy ![]() |
Dem no dey telli person. Now she knows. Nigeria is hard, yet you think somebody will pay N3.5 million to then give you a job? No be scam be dat? But how will anybody surrender their passport to a boss? Who does that? Abi people haven't been reading about this telltale sign before? Well, sales job na sales job ![]() If she entered Dubai legally, then she should go to the authorities. She should have contacted the authorities first, covertly, before the "boss" went and seized the phone. I wonder why people don't plan ahead. In no way can she travel without her international passport ... how the hell will she get through UAE immigration? |
We want to talk about climate change and the effects of pollution on the Earth. So let's fly 400 planes and pollute just a bit more ![]() |
Righteousness2:Predictable, as usual... 3000 years from now, Jesus will still be coming... I'm so happy some people didn't listen to religious dogma, and because of them we have things like planes, radio, cell phones, antibacterial, air conditioning, mechanized farming, and semiconductors. Even the printing press is a technological innovation. |
fsb:Er... eNaira sounds like fiat money to me. It's issued by the CBN, and its value is tied to the Naira. These are CBN's own words... I confess I don't understand the point of eNaira, and here's why: Reducing the expense of printing/handling physical cash: A lot of Naira in circulation is digital anyway. I don't remember the last time I collected salary as cash... it's been transfer for years now, and I pay the majority of my bills online. Even nowadays buying parts, building materials, hiring labor... it's all transfer. Going clubbing? POS. Dining? and many places are offering POS as a regular means of payment. Financial inclusion - many fintech companies have been making inroads, and CBN has been talking "cashless society" for years. Don't need an eNaira for that. Ironically, you pay a fee to fund your wallet from Naira; transferring to another person has a fee; and if they want to use that money in the real wold will incur another fee to convert back to Naira. Not sure why you need 3 transactions and the attendant cost and complexity. Security: you can trace all bank transactions done with the regular Naira. Yes, one can hide naira under their mattress, and nothing stops them from converting eNaira to Naira and hiding it. If government was serious, it would clamp down on the stealing in the first place. As far as I understand, eNaira is a currency you can't use if the app is unavailable or the servers are down; it still has transaction costs; it will fall against forex, since it's tied to naira. What's the point again? |
Davash222:Abi now... and I bet you those are the sample people getting the contract to build. If any of his people are building materials supply guys, dey don see maga be dat. Of course they will be encouraging him, to boost their business. |
bolaayenimo:That's the trouble: the politicians are all the same people. What do you call it when 50% of the politicians cross from one party to the other? I mean we keep hearing of massive defections in both directions, so what does it even mean to say: "PDP is different or better than APC"? My fellow youths, please, please, let's vote for a real difference, not recycled wine. |
Please leave your dad abeg. 85. Let him enjoy the life he has left. Send money to your mom directly, if that's what worrying you. I pray I can still be able to frolic at 85... God bless him. ![]() |
chatinent:Just this quote alone had me laughing. No mind am... "all my plans...", as if he consulted us before pouring pami... OP, abeg shift. |
Is anybody still listening to this "plan to" administration? ![]() |
No be karma. Let's not invent fantasy for a rational, simple explanation: Simple fact: monogamy is unnatural. Some people can live like that, but it's not a natural phenomenon. Both genders are polygamous, but the reality of raising a child that is not yours is what led societies (men) to create the institution of marriage to tie the parents together. That's why we even have the concept of "illegitimate child", which is such a cruel label to give to someone. So as to why men taste other pots while married, no be karma abeg. Plenty nice women have been cheated on. And many former pros have found "good" husbands. |
Itohanmiwa:A government has not settled regular currency issues, telecoms, water, light, forex, petrol, and you're hopeful it will magically understand and properly manage a digital currency. So who determines the exchange rate from naira to this nonesense? Of course some speculators will make money, but many people will lose their shirts as this digital currency is backed by the same CBN that causes products to double in cost every 4-5 years. |
Just use a lot of shea butter, especially at night. Years ago, in 80's, my mom noticed that the hands of those women who made shea butter were always so soft and smooth. Plain shea butter is a great mosturizer. that's all you need. |
OP, the advice you're hearing make sense: she should not drink for 2-3 hours before bedtime. And try to pee before going to sleep. |
Ha hahh... Weekend into Monday wahala ![]() |
postbox:Let's be honest, this means French government is investing $70 million in French companies. Whose components are they going to use? And who are they going to hire to build and maintain it? |
Kobojunkie:Our lord's prayer is not an incantation? Or many other prayers and poems and letters. Or speaking in tongues? Is it because oyinbo said: "our prayers to our God is not incantation, but yours are"? Please... every religion either Abrahamic, Greek, Yoruba or Chinese have their beliefs (origin story and future hopes), their holy objects (charms, crosses, books, beads, waters, oils), their rituals (crossing of oneself, clasping and holding hands, casting and binding, baptisms/indoctrination) , and their incantations (sorry, prayers). So if somebody believes that by holding the bible (or cross, or beads, handkerchief, olive oil) they are safe or empowered, I don't see how that's different from somebody holding a leather amulet (or wooden figurine, or beads, or palm oil) and using that to feel safe or empowered. |
jchioma:You're right, actually... |
MrWondah:Fair enough... it was a protest ground afterall. ![]() |
