It's not that hard to have clean filtered water (not chlorinated, but at least filtered). Remember the clay pots from days of old? Remember how we learned in school to make a simple - but effective - filter with pebbles, sand, and cloth? What I wonder is why villages 100 years ago were able to filter stream and pond water, yet modern Nigerians seem to think they are incapable of solving simple problems - especially those with solutions from 100+ years ago? Call your village boys to create a slow sand filter/reservoir: dig 10 feet deep, 40 feet x 20 feet. Cement optional. Even see this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci1xrYfC4CQ

Story... please tell us which rice Buhari and Abba Kyari are eating, and how they got that rice ![]() The same gov't that wants us to buy Nigerian-made, yet voted overwhelmingly to buy Toyotas. |
Single life is actually quite exciting. You get to go where you want, when you want, and meet anyone you want. You want to chill by yourself, no problem. Want to watch football? Easy. Go clubbing and you see a new chick? No worries. Work all day and night to further your career or business? Done. No drama-filled stories of what happened at the office, with her friends, or family. No dependent who requires money for hair, textbook, settling lecturer, sick mother. |
sacx:Not possible. The spermatozoa that caused pregnancy is either coded Y or X. (It doesn't come with two, and only one spermatozoa can enter the ovum). Rejecting the chromosome means that the potential child would not exist. |
Psalme91:Nothing spiritual or needing to invoke God. God already gave your husband X and Y chromosomes, so it's up to him to deliver the boy chromosomes if he wants a boy. You, as a woman have X & X chromosomes. A boy cannot come from your genes. It requires the man. This is well-established fact. I know what I write is of little comfort since we're still refusing to get sense in this country, but at the very least you can see it's up to your husband to make his boys. |
Mynd44:That's such a weasel phrase since the definition of "reasonable ground" is left solely to the discretion of the officers. In other words, the PRO has not said anything meaningful or different from the status quo: your phone will be searched at the demand of the officer, and woe betide you if you refuse. People shouting "my right my right"... plenty have died because of dragging rights. Who e epp? |
seguno2:It really pains me when people abuse Nollywood. This is an industry that has grown from grassroots, and is now blossoming and showcasing Nigeria to the world. It was because the Japanese loved their mediocrity, as did the Indians, Taiwanese, and (earlier on) the Americans, that they now make content beloved around the world. The early movies from all these places are now cringe-worthy, but even so, Oyinbo will still speak lovingly of their own faults, calling such terrible movies "cult status", "seminal" and "vintage". If you don't watch your own, it will never grow and develop. The same Nollywood people are abusing is the source of some excellent films lately; it has trained lots of the talent we're now seeing on Netflix and grossing millions in the cinemas. The current success would not have been possible without "sweating ghosts" and "Madam P tasting the poisoned food". In American movies, 1000 bullets shot, but not one hits the hero. Car explosions galore, but somebody ends up with just a single cut on their forehead. Insane, physics-defying jumps, but no broken bones. Show me an American poster and I can summarize the plot for you, whether it's one of romantic comedy, cop and robbers, scary, or lone wolf against bad industrialist. |
As for me, I *LOVE* Nollywood movies. All those mistakes listed by OP... just serve to add comedy to the situation. ![]() |
Nice pictures... would have been nicer without all the photoshop smoothing though ... I'm sure people will post two things: "olosho", and "how does this solve Nigeria's problems". For #1, wetin consign you? Aren't you tired of always shouting "olosho" like a parrot? Every damn thread ![]() For #2, abeg, the sight of nice gals relaxes the mind... not every time I want to read serious or depressing news. ![]() |
SLAP44:By their choice. Nobody but Nigerians elected Buhari - twice! - against better judgement. ![]() We may be book smart, but we're not very wise. |
BH stands for "western education is forbidden", yet they want to use mobile phones freely. The irony eludes them that western education brought us electromagnetism, operating systems, LCDs, batteries, plastic and so many parts of mobile infrastructure. What does BH have to offer humanity? Even the religion that they espouse was invented elsewhere; the guns, vehicles and rockets they use were manufactured by Western education; and they host their rants on Western-produced servers. |
So people are being killed, and the response on this thread is casting blame over who started politicizing it? There is massive insecurity in the land... in fact, things have gotten so bad it's almost like we're back in Abacha times. I said almost. One can't protest without the threat of jail; one can't travel without the real risk of kidnap; the economy is in the dumps; we're doing worse on the international stage; and our head of state does not give one rat's ass about anybody else apart from his clan/cabal. |
You're being handed a gift of threesomes without any effort, and you're here questioning what fortune has landed in your lap? The only bad things I see is: 1 - you will soon have to provide for both women financially 2 - women will eventually start fighting (over what appears to be nothing)* 3 - if friend should get pregnant, SHIT gets complicated real fast *Everytime I've spent time with multiple women under the same roof in a romantic situation, there's always a fight over some slight bullshit. Every few days. And all I want is cuteness and peace. The price we pay to be with multiple. I miss those days sha. |
Caleb17:PMB's security apparatus is actually quite vulnerable to the types of weapons BH has been using. If armored vehicles can be decimated, what about a merely bullet-proof Lexus SUV? And don't forget, the guy was out and about. If BH really wanted him, they could have got him. |
#1 and #13 for sure. In fact, this is a great business opportunity: in January and February, sell cards, roses, chocolates. Then sell medicine around March, April. Then around September October, sell baby nappy ;-) |
Funny FG. "You don't have funding, no light, outdated equipment, limited access to travel funds, 1 or so journals, but if you somehow create a vaccine for what is a recent, deadly virus... we guarantee you all that audio money" Same country where babies die of ordinary bacterial infection due to bad hygiene in hospitals Please tell me another joke... I need to laugh some more today. |
BornagainXtain:Please refer to the recent creation of South Sudan. That's a muslim country. From the wiki: "It gained independence from the Republic of the Sudan in 2011, making it the most recent sovereign state with widespread recognition. Its capital and largest city is Juba." Do you still feel the call for Biafra is misguided? |
Very good. Now less incentive to remain in this contraption/zoo.. Let them exploit their newly found reserves. They are also welcome to merge with Niger and Chad, since that's where PMB's heart is. Local man is pleased. |
I really like what I'm reading. No sense holding on to a union that was forced upon us without our consent or input. |
Why after? During would have been quite nice for his ass. Why did they delay ![]() |
RIP Baba... no need to be sad for a long life well lived. May we all be granted the same. Let's party and celebrate a legend. |
In the face of such evidence, I wonder why it's so hard for some people to believe that life started more than 6,000 years ago, and it existed long long before humans came on the scene. |
Pretty little thing... fine gals full Naija sha. My only regret is one person cannot collect them all ![]() |
Realistically, nursing abroad is a very tough job... very long hours, irregular schedule. The stress with be 3x if both of them study the same thing. I suspect we're not hearing the whole story though... |
taiocol:Very good point! Thank heavens orangutans haven't yet learned about social media ![]() |
BiafraforTrump:There are many different proposed maps partitioning Nigeria into different components. My answer to your "nothing like United rubbish" was just to show an alternative to your position. |
BiafraforTrump:This is funny... you want self-determination for Biafra, yet you won't want the Deltans to also exercise that same self-determination for United Delta. Anyways, please refer to this map:

Is this guy dreaming ni? It sounds like the sort of thing one might see in a dream, with no basis or plan for reality. We don't need "encouraging words", we need action. |
Abeg make the country pieces... when the Brits forced Nigeria upon us, nobody asked the opinions of the people living there. As long as I can travel between Oduduwa, United Delta, and Biafra without visa (as Ecowas countries), no problem. In fact, since Buhari has proven to be ineffective on so many levels, this might be a good time to splinter. |
Jesus don't care about no cherry. Popped or not. ![]() |
I thought the great lion was going to defy the government and show up, come rain or shine. ![]() |
Nice one... hopefully we will see organized protest tomorrow. The unilateral banning of many people's legitimate source of income is heartless, and I hope the governor reverses it... |

As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think the igbos need to align with other Nigerians and produce the next president. It seems feasible than this nonsense biafra that has wasted uncountable lives. How can any sane person demand for a country within a country? Things like this never happens in Muslim nations yet we Christians demonize their Islamic rulings. It's quite unfortunate that the other Christian communities in the country are not persuading the igbos to abandon biafra and believe in one Nigeria
