olaolulazio:I will. 3 years after taking over, nobody in his administration thought to spend some 2M for just 50 seats. Of course with Nigerian factor, the contract will be around 200M for those same 50 seats. If I was aviation minister and I saw this type of news, kia kia, we'll have some seats in the airport. |
Buhari is just continuing to show is underlying contempt for Nigeria and Nigerians. Imagine this situation that the candidate is nowhere to be seen, instead sending people to campaign and possibly debate on his behalf. Then he has the guts to say: "I will not fail Nigerians again if elected in 2019 - Buhari" Chai...we would have to be extremely stupid elect the failure of 1983, the failure of 2015, once again in 2019. Please don't waste your vote on APC or PDP, they are birds of the same feather; all they want is to chop our collective wealth while abusing us in the process. |
raumdeuter:The same stage since 2015... all this noise is just photo op before elections. As soon as Feb 17, you won't hear a single thing about this. Meanwhile those leaders will be looking at their phone for alert. |
No shaking... they are all the same party. Vote them all out. |
Powerful lyrics... if only people will see reason and not vote for either PDP or APC. |
Na wah oh! Loving this. 4-year tenure 3-year holiday? Assembly rumble? Somebody needs to make that into a video game for real. Sweeping out the garbage hah hah ![]() But seriously, we need a new level from these recycled politicians. |
First of all, biology predates religion by 4 billion years. Most religions we know of have been around for at most 6,000 years, and some are barely 800 years old. So keep in mind that sexuality is natural, healthy, and is one of the purposes of life. So don't go overboard in suppressing natural urges or finding ways to relieve yourself. If you do insist, the best advice that worked for me (unintentionally, because I was focusing on some things at an earlier stage of life) is be busy: work, business, doing something that will take your time all day. Gym or run till you're exhausted. Avoid materials that will get you thinking about sex, and just exercise a little restraint when the feeling comes over you. I think I lasted 9 months or so and it was not really a big deal, time just passed and I was just busy. It gets easier after the first 2-3 weeks. |
People won't use Shea butter that has worked for generations before us. They will be using vaseline (petroleum from fossilized animals and trees), or fancy chemicals from oboe oyinbo, then complain when their feet are cracking. If you see one of these older ladies who process Shea butter, you will marvel at the softness of their skin. |
SaiAtikuTill203:I agree. In fact, I've supported his candidacy against Buhari for the very same reasons. But you can rest assured that it will be business as usual if he is elected. We can't just keep recycling the same old politicians over and over, who are beholden to the same cabal and kingmakers. It's like the president changes, but the cabal stays the same. And after a few months, some will cross into the other party, then recross in a year. All the while they'll be pointing fingers at the other party, yet there's no difference between them. With that, I wish following could have run as president, based on their backgrounds: Yemi Osinbajo - I just love how he works when PMB is away... inclusive, calm, relatable, wise, real leadership. Donald Duke - for his initiatives and future-thinking, even if they didn't always pan out Peter Obi - for the way he handled state resources as governor Please watch this summary of candidates: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JZFPKk59i8?t=1055 |
SaiAtikuTill203:What? PDP and ADP have all the same old politheifcians, cross carpeting and finger pointing. There's no difference in ideology... their sole ideology is "how do we better steal"? So a vote for one is as good as a vote for the other. Everything mentioned here about APC: " lethargy ,hopelessness, resignations, frustrations and the hypocrisy of an oppressive capricious A.P.C led government" is just as applicable. Wasn't it 4 years ago these same words were used against PDP? My friend please, we're just arguing about which thief we want to rob us, umbrella or broom. Nigerian youths, please vote for candidates outside PDP or APC, otherwise, we'll just be singing the same song about no light, herdsmen, corruption, no jobs, etc in 2023. We don't want the lifeless one with no talent; neither do we want the smiling crocodile of Adamawa. It's nobody's mandate to be a caretaker for Nigeria: we just want good governance. |
riversatikulate:Sigh... there's no difference between PDP and APC. None. Why are we swayed by the false argument that there's a difference? |
She tried... good concept sha. |
sarrki:I feel conflicted about this: on one hand, we should respect our elders, but on the other, it's our unwavering respect for our elders that results in recycling out-of-touch leaders who continue the stealing, mismanagement, and corruption that they started in their youth. It's been nearly 50 years that these same names have been in charge of our country's affairs. Respect is earned; but what our elders/leaders have given us in exchange for respect is abuse, boldfaced lies, and wasted futures. I'm not entirely sure they are still worthy of that respect that they have not earned. |
Reclaimed on social media, but not in real life

First of all calm down. There are three major ways for HIV transmission: unprotected sex (anal or vaginal which you haven't had apparently); blood transfusion; or sharing needles (e.g. heroin) with infected people. There are other ways (being stabbed with infected needle, contact between broken skin, deep kissing with both partners having open sores and sharing blood, and MouthAction) but the risks there are rather low. If you have not done any of the major three, then I would advise you get a second opinion HIV test at a different facility. If the results come back positive again, then yes, you need to get on AR drugs ASAP. I don't think it's helpful to worry about cost or to be confused because it won't help matters. Focus: get tested again. Take drugs if needed. There's no need for debate or questions. |
Any compensation? Or were these building built the Naija way - without permits, fake CofO, and no competent survey? |
Personally, I think you should use your talents and the money being used for your university education to start a CS-related business. I don't know what, but I really thing the pursuit of degree is doing more harm than good in our universities. Most of the concepts can be self-taught if you're disciplined (and honestly, you'll learn more by being self motivated than by attending lectures given by disinterested professors who... wait are they on strike again?). |
I like Willie, I really do, but if only I had a way to reach out to this governor via Internet and deliver a kick for this statement... ![]() |
TooNoisy:Absolutely right. Imagine if my Delta state got its act together and developed industry. Right now we have very high allocation, yet the majority of the people are impoverished. The only thing I see is people with access to allocation wasting money on flexing. |
Hizzy:I guess I should qualify: it's not the flaunting that's the problem, it's the flaunting of an expensive lifestyle incongruent with verifiable source of income to support it, while constituents wallow in poverty, and can't boast of any decent school/hospital/water scheme. In other words, unless he is a rare exception, the money he's flaunting was misrouted from intended purposes. |
It's funny... since OP is not at the venue taking pictures, how are we sure of what is being reported and who is attending? The pictures being shown are generic shots of these people. It's a private event bah? I'm just saying... |
" Those making mockery of my Dad are same peopl who come on his page to beg money. Most Nigerians are ingrates. My kids Sis @ruth_melaye cries everyday" - Joshua Melaye An ingrate is somebody who is ungrateful after you do something for them... ask your dad, how many people has he helped? You can't call somebody you didn't help an ingrate, because one cannot be ungrateful for assistance that was never rendered. You know who is an ingrate? Sen Dino, after receiving well wishes and votes, has been disloyal to his constituents, flaunting cars, outfits, travels, and making songs instead of representing his people or building a single project for them. That's who the ingrate in this story is. |
Congratulations. We'll look forward to your promising career as you rise through the ranks: from extorting money from drivers, then graduating to collecting "free" bail money, to demanding "mobilization" when you become DPO, and perhaps, as ACP you'll even collect "gratuities" for doing nothing. You might be directly involved in harassing the populace, in jailing a few innocent citizens, and might even in killing some others. |
Instead of people to learn how this man made his fortune, they just want him to dash them money. Looks like people worldwide want awoof... it's not just in Nigeria huh? Yusaku Maezawa , the founder and CEO of Japan's largest online fashion retailer Zozotown. It's amazing how much money there is to be made from retail sales. Oddly, his personal wealth must have halved since Jun 2018 (judging from the stock price and assuming most of his wealth is tied to this one company), so I wonder what the goal of shedding £700,000 before tax filings is. It might also be a lot cheaper to get followers and brand awareness this way, rather than through regular marketing campaigns, since they do business in many countries. https://www.google.com/search?q=SATLF (click on the 1 year tab) |
"Leave a naira on the table with Buhari in the room. You will find the naira on the table when you return" This is so apt. With Buhari, you can expect no change, no progress, no improvement, no dynamism. Just the same thing. He would make an excellent accountant - counting what is produced by others, but unable to create or produce. Yet with Atiku, if you leave a Naira on the table, you will come back to find industries, jobs, infrastructure, and a few more Naira on the table. You see, Buhari is like the lazy/"honest" servant from the Parable of the Talents who had no imagination or drive, so let's charter the bus that will take his untalented self back to Daura. |
SouthWestBlood:You're absolutely right... nobody under 50 should have any business voting for either Atiku or Buhari. I would really like to see one of the alternative candidates win, and like somebody mentioned, we should vote Sowore so at least we know we voted against the non-working status-quo. |
saajus:I call it pompous to say to an established person: "we will kick your ass because we are so much better than you". A more sedate person would just work hard behind the scenes - saying very little unit he actually wins. |
Nobody, and indeed no ethnic group, has the right to be demanding presidency. If you want to run, convince the existing political parties to endorse you, or be prepared to bankroll your own - either with your own money or with popular support. Then go and compete. Every damn day, ndi-Igbo are agitating for this and that, as if it's a birth right. Politics is not about shouting, demanding, complaining, and threatening. Try sweet talking, diplomacy, and actually being influential so people want the same thing you want. And to those always seeing dissolution as a problem... Biafra didn't last, could not last, because it has all the problems of Nigeria: a dominant group (this time Igbos) grabbing land and intimidating others. The same thing they complain about Hausa-Fulani. It also has fake drug producers, fake goods makers, dishonest and disloyal politicians, and has difficulty speaking with one voice. |
I just hope non-Muslims won't be discriminated against... there's a propensity to exclude - and indeed persecute - people who don't share the same view. And I sure hope women won't be required to sit at the back or wear burkas. |
I was really hopeful around June last year that he would be a serious contender, but unfortunately, the political machine - and sheepish Nigerian population - have declared that we'll only have the usual suspects APC and PDP contending for election. He too didn't help matters by being pompous in his interactions with press and established opposition politicians. Although he has some nice photo ops with youths here and there - including in some remote regions - he hasn't really entered the psyche of Nigerians and so it's incredibly difficult to see him making any inroads in the next 42 days. At this stage he might even pull votes away from Atiku/Obi and so we run the risk of Buhari being reelected, the way I see it. |
All these are irrelevant... all I know is that 16 February is the day Harry BuBu will get the sad news that his next stop is Daura. Can you imagine, people are still making excuses for why PMB was slow to appoint ministers, or why power is still not fixed, or why Boko boys are still running around like they own the North East. 43 more days before we elect doers - and not complainers. 43 days before hope will be restored. |
This is a sweet house... even see the overhead ramp to park upstairs. I'm sure that bridge alone cost more than my house ![]() |
