Nigeria's governors forum is just like a Columbian narco cartel.

basilo101: Nsukka needs infrastructural upgrade because d town is rapidly growing into a metropolitan city lately. abeg help tell sullivan
I believe that Gov Chime is gradually paying attention to Nsukka zone. The road that links up Ikem/ Ehamufu with Enugu is an example. There are likely to be some new urban roads in Nsukka town and parts of Enugu-Ezike, Opi, Oboloafor and Igbo-Etiti areas as well.

I personally like the beautiful landscape of Nsukka area. Undoubtedly a nature's gift to Igboland. It's arable soil supplies us even near-extinct crops and fruits as well. Nsukka dejee!!

van bonattel: That Enugu unemployment stat is wrong, if there are no jobs there, why are there peace and tranquility among the youths. who is buying up all the goods in the shops and who is staying in them hotels, who is flexing in the clubs with those female students and who is driving all those flashy cars. Maybe the unemployed get grants to spend cash from sullivan!

Please dont tell me the money rolls in from outside town because the rents in enugu are also high. Who is living in all those big mansions?
I was actually wondering how some funny folks came up with the unemployment statistics. My analysis shows that their claims just doesn't add up.
PoliticsRe: Enugu Has The Lowest Crime Rate - IGP by Nightshift(m): 8:34pm On May 23, 2013
I haven't noticed that more people are unemployed in Enugu than in other Eastern states. Are people suggesting that students( who make a big chunk of Enugu population) should be part of the non - working population?
Where there is huge unemployment problem, there are often cases of high crime rates. But this not the situation in Enugu, if really the state has huge numbers of unemployed people.

spikes C: Oh my God at the bolded shocked shocked shocked
the road has started peeling dude...they've been renovating repatching the same roads over and over again embarassed

Amodu, yes i know. That bridge has been a real mess since time immemorial. But sullivan didn't do a good job on it again (Just like Abakpa bridge) embarassed
Erosion is gonna kill that bridge again, i run through there all the time since Last december (even with the dust)

Errm, soory, Akpugo - Amagunze Road is still ongoing wink

Nobody would ever blame chime and chimaroke, chimaroke brought high development to Nkanu. Chime should do so in the other communities....That is what i believe in cool
Anyway, i haven't been to Enugu since the last one year, but i enjoyed driving on the smooth alsphat roads done by Gov Chime; namely Ogui Rd, Ziks Avenue, Okpara Avenue, Agbani Rd, Coal Camp streets, Nkpokiti Rd, and the brand new link roads at Independence Layout. All the districts of Enugu has newly built roads by the present governor. Chime Avenue is a delight to cruise on as well- heard Nnamani did that one. Which of the above roads is in bad shape now?
PoliticsRe: Enugu Has The Lowest Crime Rate - IGP by Nightshift(m):
spikes C: Thank you for this comment. I live in Enugu and can confirm so. The guy is just using the "the more you look, the less you see" method. Even though, most establishments in Enugu are owned by individuals. He is just patching up roads.

In fact, what Nnamdi built/did was far better and improved that what this guy is doing.

Nevertheless, Enugu is still the most peaceful state in Nigeria cool
What the hell are you talking? The roads built by Gov Chime through Arab Contractors are much more solid than the poor ones built by Nnamani. Remember the collapsed bridge at Amodu? Another example close to your home is the poorly built Agbani- Akpugo - Amagunze Road, done by Nnamani's administration. The Umueze- Amodu Road is yet another example.
Nkanu people should not blame Chime because we had our man at the governmentt house for 8yrs. The new road built at Obinagu/Ndiuno Uwani Akpugo was not done by Nnamani but due to the influence of gov Chime's Chief of Staff, Mrs Nwobodo.
PoliticsRe: Enugu Has The Lowest Crime Rate - IGP by Nightshift(m):
@ Odenigbo, Nwa Umuoji you should know that they are a lot of deep pocket people in Enugu. One thing about the city is also that it's rich residents do not go about boasting about how rich they are, thereby attracting bad boys.

If not for some cases of student's cult-related crimes, Coal City still remains the most cultured city in Igboland. The three major markets in Enugu aren't populated by goats either!
On the issue of roads, all the local government areas in the state have good access roads. A great number of villages have mansions or bungalows like in other parts of Igboland as well.

The fact is that, those who did not expect anything good from the state are shocked by the progress it has made since its creation in 1991. We are not claiming to be the best now, but we are aiming to be the best in the future - this is the dream of the state's current administrators!
For such a small state to donate 100 vehicles to the police shows how serious it takes security. Security is a big deal in Enugu State!!
Christianity EtcRe: Imo Youths Lock Out Bishop-elect by Nightshift(m):
Mortiple: Get your facts right. Kabaka and Dan Satch are not from Mbaise! Remember it was Kabaka that first made the statement "if you see Mbaise person and see a snake ..." By the way, Sir Warrior was from Enyiogwugwu, a community that shares most Owerri characteristics - dialect, lifestyle, etc besides proximity.
Is Ahiazu and Enyiogugu not part of greater Mbaise area? Most members of Oriental Brothers are from Mbaise zone. As I write now, i am even singing one of their great songs - Onye Ma Onye Wu Onye! Apama special 1980 grin cheesy

And they keep wondering why Mbaise people are the most hated people in the whole world.

There is a popular saying that if Mbaise man enters your house and a viper invades your abode, you are safer if you maim the Mbaise man than kill the dangerous snake.

This is how much Mbaise people are liked in Igbo land.

So much that Mbaise men and women find it extremely difficult to marry outside of their towns/villages as no sane group
wants to be associated with their wicked ways
.

/
Mbaise people are great folks, bro! Whenever i remember Mbaise people what comes to my mind is beautiful Highlife music from Oriental Brothers, Sir Warrior, Dan Satch and Kabaka! We shouldn't allow old prejudice corrupt our mind against our kind. That could be a bitter pill for some folks to take though....
Christianity EtcRe: Imo Youths Lock Out Bishop-elect by Nightshift(m): 8:09pm On May 22, 2013
The greatest threat to Igboland is the glaring culture of disunity amongst Ndigbo.

Having Eze and Igwe on all the streets of Igboland will not save us from this obnoxious culture of self - hatred.
Why is it near impossibility for us to view and accept fellow Ndigbo as part of our brotherhood, irrespective of whether one is from Ezza or Isiala-Ngwa?
Christianity EtcRe: Imo Youths Lock Out Bishop-elect by Nightshift(m): 7:36pm On May 22, 2013
Mbaise and Nsukka areas produce more Rv Fathers in the catholic church than any other part of Igboland. But that doesn't mean they have to take laws into their hand in determining who becomes their bishop.

Those beautiful Mbaise people who gave us wonderful Sir Warrior and Oriental Brothers should please take it easy and allow a fellow Igboman from Anambra to be their bishop.

There are hundreds of Mbaise born Rv Fathers serving in different parts of Igboland. Egbe belu, Ugo belu!!

If you were in Lagos i would have adviced you try catch enough mosquitoes and feed your tortoise. If you can get enough of it in Niger State try. Mosquitoes are one of the delicacies for tortoise, especially baby mosquitoes. Lagos Mosqs are known to be fat and nutritious! Oya, go get your net undecided lipsrsealed

When i saw the news on German RTL last week i was shocked. Such a thing could happen in Nazi youths infested places in the east of the country, but i never expected such to happen in that small Island near liberal Hamburg and Bremen. Too bad! Sylt is arguably a rich people's paradise, not known as a playing ground for Nazi groups.

Pammy dealers don hammer be that grin
Nwanna a, otenkwu deserves to get real value for their product. Enugu's pammy is perhaps the best in Nigeria.

Perhaps it's time for Afam(Nwa Amechi- Akwunanaw) to come home for 2 weeks to explore and appreciate the beauty of his home state?
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nightshift(m): 8:45pm On May 21, 2013
I bet all the Pammy bars @ Presidential Rd, Nike town ; politics-gossip bars all over Coal City State is agog with news about the impending New dawn in Enugu - flying oversees direct!

An already expensive price of plots in my beloved town(Akpugo) will now reach it's peak.
Coal City being the most cultured city in Igboland deserves to be our gateway to the world.
I'm getting ready to export Enugu's fresh palmwine to European bars. Why not, it's a globalised world, baby! We're ready to take off.... grin cheesy
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Threatens To Arrest Idle Youths by Nightshift(m): 7:54pm On May 21, 2013
I have seen authorities stop lazy youths from collecting unemployment benefits if they refuse to attend job interviews over sometimes. Nobody ever got arrested for refusing to work in a democratic dispensation like ours. We do not have a Gestapo government in Nigeria!

@ Owobokri, if you compare Okorocha with Mbakwe in Aba (even in Owerri), I bet you will get stoned by those who witnessed Mbakwe's government in larger Imo State.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Threatens To Arrest Idle Youths by Nightshift(m):
owobokiri: Why is he a clown? Because he spoke against "sagging" and threatened those who don't want to be engaged in any sort of productive activity? Take it or leave it; Okorocha is the best governor from Imo state since Dee Mbakwe. His works are therie to prove that.
Stop it if it's a joke! Okorocha can not be able to offer late Sam Onunaka Mbakwe a cup of water. Mbakwe combined selfless service with humility. A characteristic I never noticed in any other politician East of the Niger. Mbakwe was loved throughout Igboland - from Enyimba city to Onitsha Ado n'idu!
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Threatens To Arrest Idle Youths by Nightshift(m): 7:16pm On May 21, 2013
Gov Okorocha should know that one can take a horse to a river, but can't force it to drink water. His style of governance still amazes people. He can not change the culture of ' erimeri' in Imo youths by threatening them with incarceration.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Threatens To Arrest Idle Youths by Nightshift(m): 7:02pm On May 21, 2013
Umu Imo ole ihe mee ga? Can he really arrest those young people who wastes their time looking for ugba to eat in such places like Executive Garden and other such places at Aladinma? And what in the hell is "Sagging"?
SportsRe: Bash Ali Protests At PDP Secretariat Over World Record Bid by Nightshift(m): 7:46pm On May 20, 2013
I bet Bash could be physically fit than most people calling him old man in their writing. I once watched George Foreman in the 90s in a professional fight at 50 years. Professional sportsmen could be physically strong for many years after retirement.
FoodRe: The Price Of A Bottle Of Heineken Is Too High In Nigeria. Protest Here !!. by Nightshift(m): 7:00pm On May 20, 2013
AK 48: Nigerian brewery don't brew heineken!,it is being mixed in holland and bottled by nigerian brewery sir.
Perhaps the Dutch brewers are using more expensive hops then. It could be their premium brand, aka BMW or Mercedes-Benz of Dutch beers!
FoodRe: The Price Of A Bottle Of Heineken Is Too High In Nigeria. Protest Here !!. by Nightshift(m): 6:55pm On May 20, 2013
Could it also be due to the fact that Nigerians pronounce that Dutch word ' Heineken' miserably wrong? Before missiles start flying, it's a joke sha! grin grin
FoodRe: The Price Of A Bottle Of Heineken Is Too High In Nigeria. Protest Here !!. by Nightshift(m): 6:47pm On May 20, 2013
The high cost could also be as a result of NB using a more expensive hops for the brewing of that particular brand. For example, beers brewed with the Tettnanger hops variety in Germany tend to be more expensive than beers brewed with Hallatauer hops . Does Heineken taste better than other Nigerian beer brands? Your votes please!
FoodRe: The Price Of A Bottle Of Heineken Is Too High In Nigeria. Protest Here !!. by Nightshift(m): 6:35pm On May 20, 2013
A change to palm - wine is my advice to anybody pissed off by high cost of beer in Nigeria. By doing so, you are helping your health and the local wine-tappers . Moreover, palm-wine has been helping Africans have good sex since centuries! Abi no be so?
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Live In Enugu by Nightshift(m): 10:10pm On May 18, 2013
Once the new international route takes off, it will have a tremendous effect on property/real estate prices in Enugu and the neighbouring towns. Flying direct from Europe and North America to Enugu will be the biggest deal for Coal City ever!
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Live In Enugu by Nightshift(m): 9:57pm On May 18, 2013
I believe it's also time for federal govt. to finish reconstruction of Enugu - Onitsha and Enugu - PH highways, as well as other link roads , so that people can have easy access to and from the Airport.

Great! I am looking forward to seeing Lufthansa displaying ENUGU - MALABO on the electronic board of the departure hall at Frankfurt Airport in the near future. Coal City is perhaps the only cultured city in Igboland; it deserves to be Igboland's international hub.
