SoNature:
One may have resentment towards or even despise Nigeria, but renouncing one's citizenship of Nigeria is sheer stupidity.

You can love and give everything to a country that gave you what your country couldn't give you, but never renounce the citizenship of your own country.
Remember the story of Renault/Nissan CEO that has citizenship of about 4countries, France, Brazil, Lebanon and one other, when he had issues with Japan, every other was ready to sell him out, only Lebanon (his native country) protected him, and still protecting him from the hands of Japan

There was similar experience in my area, the Omo onile gave out the space beside the fence to different people, when the sch owner complained (I think he too was interested in the rent, as it's a corner piece land), they told him his land no reach there.
Fast forward to few years later, Min of Edu came, checked the surroundings and told those ones that they can't be there, na so everyone carry their planks commot.

Politics / Re: Funso Doherty Writes To Lagos Government Over Possible Funds Misappropriation by OlujobaSamuel: 6:50am On Nov 19, 2023
DoTheNeedful:
A good opposition in Lagos is a welcome development. I am not talking about an opposition driven by tribalism though.

I have always maintained that Funsho Doherty was the best opposition candidate in the last election. However, some people driven by an unknown agenda, decided to push GRV, who at 40, had no 5 years working experience. The only shining thing about GRV was his MIT masters. Funny enough, this Funsho Doherty has a masters from Harvard himself and has several years of working experience at blue-chip companies.
Your head is there. He was the only candidate with good credentials against the gov in the last election. I told a friend that he is the one I'm rooting for, he said he is of an unknown party, I said it doesn't matter to me, I don't want noisemakers.

Politics / Re: Akpata: Good Judge Emerging In Nigeria Is By Luck, Says Ex-NBA President by OlujobaSamuel: 11:45am On Nov 18, 2023
casualobserver:

How does reporting your father to your neighbour solve the problem of your father being a bad man? Are you not your fathers son? For good or for bad you inherit anything ascribed to your father. So when you go exposing your father, you are cursing yourself. You think other families don’t have their own problems?

My wife once said to me, she has friends who will come reporting their husbands to her in anger and she realized that she can never look at their husbands the same way again and sometimes while sympathizing with the friends she will think to herself, why are you telling me this, what kind of woman airs her dirty linen in public. She said the day she realized that the person listening to you rather than empathizing g May actually be looking down on you was the day she understood what her mother always told her, “whatever problem you have with your husband settle it with your husband. Once you tell outsiders, they will take your story to the streets and once you and your husband settle, the story/secrets and many versions of it will be out in the streets.

The bottom line is this what do you expect to gain by demarketing your own outside? Do you expect them to solve your problem for you? If not what is the purpose? What is the upside for the reputational damage that others will suffer as a result of association? That’s the real question.
When I saw this report without any comment yet, the 4points guiding principles of Rotaract came to my mind; Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Even the IBA was cautious in responding to the allegations he made.
You met an adult on the road, you table a wise matter before him, who says he wasn't foolish in his youthful age.
I hope he sits and think deep about what he said to the outside world. That was how someone said we are lazy, indiscipline and useless.

Oh Yes! Only one hilarious time though, and that was when I picked my present car from the dealer after the deal was sealed.

With the Light on and the Guage completely down, I saw it quite clearly that there was no fuel in the newly acquired car. However, what I didn't believe was that the car won't even drive to the nearest filling station which (I am certain) was not up to 2km from the dealers outlet. Few meters after driving out of the dealer's shop and the car went mum on me. Within a moment alot run roughly through my mind. I called the dealer and he told me without hesitation that it must be fuel! Then somethings I saw at dealers flash through: one of the dealers boy use 4L keg to pour some fuel inside one of the big corolla cars in their garage just to drive it out. He also keep the remaining fuel beside him at the passenger side. That in case the car start jerking on him on the road, he will give a little bit fuel again.

I quickly beg for a keg around since I was very close to the filling station, bought some fuel and pour in the car. Na so car start again o!

Then I learn 2 things:
1. Dealers don't fuel cars. When I call the dealer again, he told me that's how it is done, that no dealer fuels a car displayed for sale at the dealership on one hand for economic reasons (them nor wan buy fuel for new car owner) and on another hand for security reasons (if by any means thief Wan steal car, he nor go go far before car go stop). This practice will how ever kill the fuel pump and the entire powertrain of a vehicle.

2. Due to no 1., check duty papers and go for the car that hasn't stay long with the dealer. There you may have a fuel pump that is still in good health grin

Fuel pump for big cars (esp 2010 upwards) dey very expensive too!
Car lots generally do not permit you keeping fuel in the car, aside security or economic reasons, it's majorly for safety (fire hazard), it's easy to control any fire incident when there is no fuel added to such, so even if you drive down from the port or manufacturer with full tank, it will be drained out.
Though, I've heard of few that will give you a complimentary fuel of about 4ltrs to get you to a gas station. Getting stranded with a new car by the road side due to fuel isn't cool, make anxiety no go kill person

The FG should disclosed identity of arrest made in respect to the case.
Except under a military regime, attacking the NLC president will definitely backfire, workers will revolt, not because they like the president, but their rank and file might be broken

Where are those criticizing dangote and co for having an EBITDA margin of 50% claiming it's too much compared to Europe where there is about 13% margin.
This is MTN leaving a country because of a margin drop to 33% claiming it's poor.
The real profit margin might eventually not be more than 10 to 15% which at the end might be similar to the European nations we are using as comparison in the same industry

You are a fool who doesn't know how to read

I said it was my first time which I told the shipping company.

They never told me they bill per kg
Neither did they mentioned to me that 9.1 USD is per kg.
I called on phone to be sure of shipping cost they told me 2kg n above is 9.1
In fact I sent them the money to buy this item for me cos I don't want to make mistake still they could not tell me they bill per kg , they made it look as if 2kg is 9.1 USD.

It may interest you to know that what I bought is just 7 pieces of clothes mostly for babies.

I brought this issue here cos I want
To Learn from people n yes I answered everyone cos I want to learn them.

How are mine sure you are not one of them who deceive people.
You are the real scammer.

It may also interest you to know that I won't be paying to pick up the item they can keep it.

My item is just 2kg
I spent a total of 39,400 including their hired services

Now am asked to pay 23,750 to pick it up, if include money for dispatch rider maybe a total of 30k.

The name of this company is ski current logistics.
If you are the owner shame on you.

To even start your statement with an insult shows how intelligent and smart you are.
Being a novice in a field or venture should not be equated to being unwise.
Btw, I don't own or work for a logistics coy involve in shipping, so seek elsewhere to vent your anger.
Finally, my parents never taught me to insult strangers, and my kids also know it's wrong to do such.
