CrimeRe: Immigration Nabs 5 Nigerians En Route To Libya by Outstrip(f): 11:51pm On Mar 16, 2011
I am sorry but if you are stupid enough to go to Libya with this desperate mentality of "leave Nigeria or die trying" you cannot possibly be smart enough to succeed anywhere

Chike Ike is obviously Nigerian but Yvonne Nelson is Ghanaian. They are both pretty but I think Yvonne is prettier
CelebritiesRe: Micheal Essien Dad Disowns Him (pics) by Outstrip(f): 3:59pm On Mar 15, 2011
How do you disown a son that claims you abandoned him a long time ago. I don't think it will make any difference to him. I am sure anything he has done for his father he did "only because of God" as we like to say back home not because of the love between a father and son. I wish them all well
FamilyRe: Bringing Up A Multilingual(4) Kids by Outstrip(f): 5:14pm On Mar 14, 2011
You guys make me feel like I should go buy all the language software for kids I can find. Since he is showing interest and actually likes the stuff. I always told myself I will nurture whatever sensible thing they come up with. We don't have anyone around speaking these languages. He does it at daycare with the older kids computers and always begs me to play them on youtube too. Na wa oh.

FamilyRe: Bringing Up A Multilingual(4) Kids by Outstrip(f): 12:24am On Mar 13, 2011
Interesting topic. My son counts in russian, swahili, spainish and french. For some weird reason he likes the idea of knowing different languages and he is only 3. I have taken note but I really don't even know where to start with it. If maybe I should make him focus on one or just let him have fun with it the way he is now
FamilyRe: Help, How Do I Cope With A Verbally Abusive Husband by Outstrip(f): 6:12pm On Mar 12, 2011
The problem has not been solved. Life is not a bed of roses. So because things are good for him now she is no longer a witch? Please the only thing anybody can celebrate here is that she can get a job and start saving some serious money. The man has not changed. I was saying that I would not comment anymore but if she is wise she will not sit back and think that he was miraculously changed. She needs to keep working on being financially independent

I will come back to comment later. I am extremely busy right now but I have some questions to ask some posters

FamilyRe: Does The Child Of A Stay-at- Home Mom Benefit More Than The Child Of A Working M by Outstrip(f): 12:35am On Mar 03, 2011
I personally think it is better for the mother to work. My boys have always been very independent. I don't understand it when I see nigerian women here in the US who still carry their two year olds around like newborns and still spoon feeding them. I personally think that some of them drag it on for so long so that they will not be useful for anything else.
FamilyRe: For Nigerians Abroad: Will You Send Your Child To A Nigerian Boarding School? by Outstrip(f): 12:28am On Mar 03, 2011
No. They are my responsibility. What values are they going to instill in my child. I think it is pure laziness to send your child to someone else to raise for you

with all the multiple mouths they're feeding back home, can one blame them really.
Of course you blame them.
CrimeRe: Owner Of Burnt Daycare Flees Us To Nigeria by Outstrip(f): 11:42pm On Mar 01, 2011
I can't even believe that parents would leave their kids in that condition. The sad part is that some parents might actually do this thinking that their kids were safer than in a regular daycare. I cannot even imagine what those poor kids went through.

She is a fool for running. Now she will pay dearly when they get her back here. Make no mistake they will find her. Her sentence has pretty much doubled at this point.

FamilyRe: Marriage In Distress: Need Advice by Outstrip(f): 3:20am On Mar 01, 2011
well at least you guys are talking. I feel he is not telling the whole truth but I think you should keep talking. He might be confused and maybe he thinks fessing up will make you think of him as less than a man. If you love him then work on it. It will get better. I know people who went through the same thing you are going through and you will not believe the great marriages they have today. There is a particular couple I know who went through something similar. She changed the locks in the house and he did not see her and the children for three months. He finally came clean but if you see them together today you will just be disgusted at their display of affection. LOL. Always sucking each others face and holding hands like 16 year old teenagers. They made it work for them but he was very repentant. I wish the same for you too.
Yeah we know one of your favourite saying on NL is that "you will rather stay with an abusive man than expose your kids to poverty because a woman who works is a love-peddler" and you are MOBO444's number one fan as you always agree with all the bile he comes up with about Nigerian women, so obviously, you are trying to dissuade the OP flak from leaving home. But is this really necessary - insinuating and trying to rub it in the poster's face that she is lying about her husband's assault causing the baby's disability and as a matter of fact, this is like the second or third time you would be saying this too undecided She already has to live with this for the rest of her life and like Outstrip said - it takes a lot to raise a disabled child, and I should know too, but then like you always like to unapologetically say "some parents give birth to handicapped children because of their past sins" huh

Do you realise that if you mistakenly bump a pregnant woman, the baby would move/do you know that to do a late scan to check a baby's sex, the belly is slapped a few times to get the baby to move and if you mut know a lady who mistakenly got punched in a packed train went to the Hospital a few days later only to be told her baby died as a result of the blow she sustained that day and had to push out a dead baby, undecided

Are you sure all you need is a pinch undecided undecided undecided
I remember when she said that too. That day I really felt sorry for her. I did not really get upset. Obviously something really crazy happened in mutters life for her to be so messed up
FamilyRe: Marriage In Distress: Need Advice by Outstrip(f): 12:00am On Mar 01, 2011
mutter:
How cute!!!
Well I guess I have to start roaming around searching my husband`s personal belongings. Screening his phone etc to get down to earth cheesy
The fact that one is married does not mean that privacy should be invaded.
mutter in your world a woman checking her husbands phone is worse than a husband cheating on his wife and possibly fathering a child outside of the marriage. I can check my husbands phone if I want and he can look through my phone if he very well chooses. My phone does not stay locked and neither does his. If I feel the need to I will look through my husbands phone and if I could I would even search his brain. She suspected something so she went looking. There is nothing wrong with that. In your world it is better to be blissfully ignorant. Some people choose to be proactive and do something about their situation. You can not change what you do not acknowledge. At least now she has proof and she can now say she is not having a discussion on cheating based on a hunch
FamilyRe: Marriage In Distress: Need Advice by Outstrip(f): 8:15pm On Feb 28, 2011
You have to know Mutters history to kind of understand the fantasy land she usually comes from. She has basically created it in her head just so she can cope with life. That is my observation of her. If she faces the truth she will likely go mad that is why she is the way she is. She has done it for years and years and it is now part and parcel of her. The only thing that can help her is some serious therapy and even then she might even try to shrink the therapist
FamilyRe: Marriage In Distress: Need Advice by Outstrip(f): 7:20pm On Feb 28, 2011
@ Poster I don't think that any of this proves that he has feeling for his ex. The only thing I am almost certain of is that he is cheating and also you really need to find out if he got her pregnant. Maybe he loves you but he is being an ass right now. I am sure the excuses make you want to kill him. You guys have only been married two years so this is usually the toughest period in a marriage
Let your husband know that you know he is a cheating dog. If you think you can forgive this and he shows that he is repentant then maybe you guys can save this marriage. I will also advise you to stop having sex with him. You cannot act like a fool. You have to let him know that you do not believe his lies. The way you start the marriage is the way you should be ready fo rit to continue. Do not pretend that you do not know. Face it squarely

Step to follow:-

Just be prayerful and performed your duty well.

Show him more caring and prepare his meal in time

Welcome him well anytime he comes back

Do not shout on him even if u don't like his attitude at that moment, be patient

it take alot of time but definitely he will come to his sense.

Good luck
Oh please be quiet. How does any of this make sense
