I am watching Troy the umpteenth time today on Netflix. The fight scene involving Hector the Tamer of Horses and Achilles just makes me feel like being a fighter myself. Unfortunately I can not fight. They beat me in all the fist fights I got into in primary and secondary schools while growing up. :-D.

The three John Wick movies mostly portray him as someone impossibly good at handling guns. Not so much at single combats.
I have not seen Ip Man (Can't exactly recollect seeing it). I will watch this weekend.

The other movies with good fight scenes I have scene include the Black Panther, Jason Bourne movies, and Spartacus series.

My bachelor-education is of course very useful. It literally fetches me millions (note the plural) every single month. And because of it I have been to several parts of this world than I can begin to count now.

That said... You would notice I used the word 'bachelor-education' and not degree. This is to delineate it from the certificate which is supposed to be a paper (or electronic) confirmation that you passed through a process that ought to have imparted you with:

1) a training in discipline,
2) a competence,
3) a mental orientation,
4) a set of experiences, and
5) a set of social connections.

It is the sum total of these five (and more) that is called education. The paper (the certificate) itself is useless. It is the level to which you achieve those five qualities that confer value on the paper. In other words, the paper doesn't confer any value on you, you confer value on that piece of paper.

People that are saying 'hand-work' is better than education are naive set of human beings. It doesn't matter whether you are involved in a handiwork, or business, they all involve those five components. And your success ultimately depends on how well you are able to build these qualities. Whether formal education, handiwork, or business, the world is littered with examples of men that have made it big as well as those that are worse than rags.

So, you have all the chances in the world to build yourself into a man that imparts value to your certificate. And never expect that piece of paper to confer any value on you.

Apparently you don't know what facts mean, or you don't understand what it means by daily new cases reducing. In case either of these is your problem I have attached an up-to-date plot of the daily new cases... You really should learn to make a point with real facts. We are talking about global pattern someone is rushing out naked from the bathroom shouting "USA alone recorded 50,000 cases in the past 24hrs".

When you comment on a patterns of progression over days, doesn't make sense to you to use a single day (24 hours) as your reference point?

As a scientist I am not meant to believe in things that cannot be observed directly or indirectly. But as a scientist also I am trained never to doubt the existence or possibility of something just because it cannot be observed. I believe that with advancement in scientific innovation many of the things that we cannot yet 'see' shall become visible. But now, we do not only 'see' erstwhile invisible microorganisms we can also clearly see subcellular dimensions even up to atomic resolution using spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques.

In the case of dogs, they do not see the full visible color spectrum as do humans. That is perhaps an indication that their sight overlaps with areas of the electromagnetic spectrum that human eyes cannot see. While staying indoors because of Covid 19, my mind flashed back to my visit to a Village about 10 years ago.

One night, we were outside as always and there was no moonlight so everywhere was dark just some few local lamp on. We were seated outside with a man in his 70s and he was telling us some stories.

There was this local dog opposite us just lying down. After a while she started barking. At first we thought she was just disturbing but the dog stood up and was barking continuously facing a particular direction. No one should come out and start blaming economic hardship. It is simply lack of proper home training. Unfortunately, some of the parents are even worse than the children, and what you don't have you cannot give. As poor as my parents were, dem no born you well to come to the house with something that belongs to someone else. They would almost kill you. But these days we have parents who also engage in the shameful career of begging.
