Preemptive reading?

Oga English, I doubt if you even read through what he said...May be you read and don't understand sha..Most of you just want to make comments for nothing sake...

There's no way Obesere could have been banned from the UK without cogent reasons...There was a time when he was caught with undisclosed money in Dublin.... His ban was probably related to that.
His detractors, competitors, haters if you will, may have set him up.
You must be unaware of the villainy and enmity rife in the yoruba music industry back then.
Whether he meddled or he got set up is not one you can just jump into conclusion otherwise everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

Perhaps it'll help your assertion to know that if infact he was caught with drugs, his ban could never be lifted.
That said, let's try not to write people off simply based hearsay. I believe in innocence until proven guilty.

Marriage is a traditional system(institution) that will eventually be relegated like all things dated.

Divorce rate are way too high, infidelity high and baby mama also very high.

Not looking good for marriage in the future.
And the devil just turned you to his mouthpiece for free. You could have at least made a good bargain for this your demonic prophecy.

Well Contrary to your fake prophecy. The devil may try but the devil will cry. He's always been a liar and all liars go to hell (err that's his home anyway)

That said, It's the era of the church.
The kingdom of darkness has been very strategic and oppressive for the past couple of years especially colonising the world through his agents in politics, entertainment and of course the press got us so depressed

The people were left defenceless. But God has heard our cry, the church has been relentless. God has released a fresh anointing in the church. Raising up judges, kings, prophets and releasing his armies for our Salvation and justification. Hallelujah.

Dont be deceived, there's a fierce battle going on in the spiritual real between the Kingdoms of Light and Darkness. You have to be sensitive to choose wisely.
If you're not Proclaiming Christ, believe me, you're proclaiming the devil. No, there's no middle grounds.
Every sinful utterance and behaviours you exhibit glorifies the kingdom of darkness. Everytime you resist the devil by shunning and eschewing sin and evil, you glorify the kingdom of God. Be informed. Be sensitive. So much is happening before your eyes, you need to turn off your sight some times to get the vision.

I pray you receive the Grace for the race of Light, of Good, of a Peaceful kingdom of God being reenacted on Earth. If only we can all have a glimpse of that perfect kingdom of God, perhaps, just perhaps we'll eschew evil immediately.

May God's Grace and Peace be unto us all in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I noticed something about Obesere...No matter how successful he is in the music industry, he portrays this mindset of some people working against him. If anything bad happens to him today, he will come out tomorrow to attribute the cause to his so-called detractors.... I haven't seen other successful musicians with that mindset- not Obey, Sunny, K-1, Oliver de Coque, etc.

You were banned for 12 years from entering the UK and you want us to believe that it was just because of mere petitions from faceless individuals?

Nigerian journalists won't ever investigate the cause of his ban-lazy bunch.

If you love someone dearly you won't even think of cheating on her, how do you love a person and want to be with another?
The media has imprinted in our subconscious and conscious minds that cheating is inevitable in relationships and marriages. The problem is most of us end up believing it and playing to the gallery.

Truth is there are several marriages that hold trust and fidelity in high esteem and this consolidates their commitment to each other. Of course it helps if both parties are God-fearing.

quote author=benzics post=67688729]Just a piece of advice.

First off, Marriage isn't everything, in fact marriage is not an achievement, I don't know the fuss about marriage in this part of the world.

Secondly, please never think of settling down and raising kids when you know you are not living comfortably yourself, don't bring kids into these world to suffer just because you want to feel among the married..

Lastly, work on yourself first, it's never too late, make yourself comfortable, and by that I mean move out of your parents' house, then you can then think of settling down..[/quote]Great advice. My only disagreement is your first point. Marriage might not be everything but it is an integral part of our existence. But it is not to be made a priority but a goal while working on and building self.

Now to OP.
Any two people can get married. The difficult is having a happy marriage and home. The prerequisite for a happy home is simply Self actualisation. You must be happy alone to have a happy home.
That said, what makes one happy?
Can you provide for yourself comfortably? Can you support another comfortably?
Are you gainfully employed?

In essence be happy with yourself first, then you bring another into your happy life.
Don't punish your partner by bringing her into a life you're unhappy and uncomfortable with.

Giving your age and employment state I'll say you have a lot of life ahead of you.
Delete every pressure from peers and family from mind and thoughts and watch a huge weight lift off your life. Now unless you're 40 years you're still young.
Perhaps you've not yet got things figured out yet, no pressure, you have another 12 years to figure it out. See how lucky you are?
With determination and discipline, you can decide to change your story. You can either chose a free internship in your choice career line or learn some online courses to improve your skills or even decide to go into business as an apprentice first. The options are endless if you choose to see them. Unlimit yourself by your present condition or societal conditioning.
Trust me I understand it's difficult when you have responsibilities and bills to pay. But it's the same formula successful people have always applied and it does not fail.

One more thing, build yourself spiritually too especially in Christ.
All the best. Grace be with you as you make the right choice to change your story and take charge. You're healed by your faith in Jesus Name. Amen.

DIKEnaWAR:
Well, I wouldn't know that. Different people have different approach to life, based on their orientation.

Wizkid makes better music than Davido, but Davido seems to be a better human being. Dude should learn how to live responsibly and face his responsibilities. When you bring a child into the world, you put that child's welfare over yours.
.
This is not to say that the women who lure them to bed are not gold diggers and schemers. They want to use the children as a visa to his money and a dependant lifestyle.
Exactly.
Wizzy obviously chose the life of a rolling stone. A responsible lady won't settle for life of a baby mama.
But like you said, their child(ren) should generally become priority.

Its a messy situation as it is. That's why it pays to do it right to avoid being taken for granted or abused in marriage.
CelebritiesRe: Wizkid Reacts After Babymama Called Him A Deadbeat Dad by pressplay411(m): 5:39am On May 17, 2018
DIKEnaWAR:
Wizkid makes good music, but he is highly irresponsible and that should not be taken away.

Most of these ladies that want to bed stars are actually gold diggers and not because of their love for them. Why not use protection? Why not take care of your baby when you pop one? The other day, his first baby mama called him out codedly. Today, the second one does too. To think that he starts by denying responsibility for the pregnancies should have taught these ladies a lesson.

You can take a man out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of a man.
And all these calling out suddenly starts after Davido's Assurance and 45m porsche gift to Chioma.
Moral of the story - - >> Women and Jealousy.

Now believe me Neither Oyedepo nor Adeboye can use all the gifts people shower on them annually. It is not even possible. Much of those gifts are also given out. But there is no need to put the camera on it. Sometime ago Winners shipped loads of relief materials to Sierraleone after the landslides. They could put the camera on it and gain popularity but they did it under the radar. When next the pope wants to give out a lambo he should please not let us know. wink

I know baba, infact Catholics have major investments in Gold and all that. But I sense a competitive spirit in you. No need for all that

I only laid how some churches could avoid(not evade) the tax. And I am not necessarily advocating for Tax avoidance. Plus Oyedepo has said Winners is willing to pay taxes soooo. Though i suspect CAN would have none of it... People like me in govt would also have none of it... When govt calls for tax we would also go and look for money in the belly of the Fish because that is the kind of tax Jesus paid(Belly of Fish Tax) not church income tax grin
This is another strategic deception by the adversary (Satan).
We spend too much of our time competing in opulence and vain prosperity and finding faults with the church when our focus should be on the things that matter most. The things that edify and glorify the spirit, Charity, Love, Righteousness.

If only we can all see, the solution is all around us. Peace and Grace be with us all.

Sadly even though he's financially free, he's still mentally and psychologically in a lock down.

We need to have a sense of value. The real wealth and freedom is in touching lives with your money. How many consider you a blessing. How many will turn up to cry if anything were to happen to you today?. How much projects have you put in place to secure your future and others?

That's the real definition of success. Not in popping bottles and flaunting vixens and cars. That's slave mentality. You might as well be Django.

God knows who's working for Him.
So many work for free but complain through out. What do you expect is their reward?
Some get paid but the value and service they give far exceeds the pay, cos they would have charged more secularly. We're in no place to judge.
Though it's obviously more rewarding to render your services and talents to God for free.
I believe God and only God knows who's working for Him because only He knows our Hearts.

I think a lot could be responsible for a miscarriage.
I hate to comment on such sensitive issues but perhaps sharing my unprofessional but informed opinion could make a difference.
For starters, She's arguably Nigeria's numero uno OAP. She was on radio so much during the pregnancy no one could tell if she ever took a leave to concentrate on her child birth.
2. It's no news that she loves her cocktails. She even pokes fun at herself about sneaking 1 or 2 while pregnant. This is clearly a breach of doctor's advice.
3. You claim it's superstitious to blame it on the grand announcement at Banky's engagement. May I remind you she's from the Oniru dynasty. We all know how competitive and fetish polygamous families are.

Now my advice.
Motherhood is sacred.Treat child birth as a sacred responsibility. Obey all your doctor's instructions. Clearly abstain from every abuse of drugs and alcohol. Cut down on your social life atleast till after safe child delivery. Most importantly, seek Christ in all you do. Not just for safe delivery but to renew your relationship with Him.
I wish she would get it right this time. She's one of my biggest crushes and deserves happiness in all facets of her life. I wish her the best and pray God's Grace finds her.

Lazyreporta:
If you got the answer from the main girl you won't bother asking your female friends. Her friends are worst because they will back her up.

The best way sometimes is to manipulate her if you really want to know the answer.
Play mind games, ask questions that she will think it's her doing.

Example; if a girl tells you looks doesn't determine what she wants in her relationship , chill, after awhile point out a not too good looking guy, ask her if she will go out with him.... Wait and hear NO.

Now, just say something else because if you try to mention her earlier statement about looks, you're looking for trouble.

What they say is not what they respond too
Here in lies the major problem. The lies and schemes, Mind games and tricks. Why not ask her direct question. If she sense you're indirect with her, she'll also be indirect with you. And if she turns out to be a pathological liar, you observe her actions.
But why so much emphasis on looks sef? You Be Shriek?

Trust me, just on your self. Your confidence, discipline and success will speak for you. Those are not transient unlike looks.
RomanceRe: Why Men Should Not Get Advice From Women About Women by pressplay411(m): 4:21pm On May 12, 2018
Lazyreporta:
When I was having trouble understanding women, I remember going to my women friends for advice. I figured: Hey, they’re women, so they should have a clue and be able to help me out, right? Wrong. The advice they gave me seemed sound, and it meshed with what I had always thought about women. This sometimes pisses women off, but the truth is, the average woman does not understand what attracts them to one guy vs. another. What they say they want in a man is not what they actually date and stay with.
Most women, when you bring your problems about understanding another woman to them, will try to make you feel better about what is going on. It is just like when you try to date a woman, she is not going to tell you straight out: Hey, I’m really not interested. A woman friend is not going to burst your ego and tell you: Hey, it sounds as though she just doesn’t like you. Move on. Instead, they will give you rationalizations: Maybe she is just coming out of a bad relationship. Maybe she really isn’t getting your calls. Maybe she just likes you too much and is afraid of getting into something right now. Women are emotional beings and will always think about how what they say is going to make you feel. So take their advice with a grain of salt.
Why do women, even our female friends, do this to us? I believe it is mostly because they don’t want to deal with your questions of: So tell me why she doesn’t like me. Is there something wrong with me? without hurting your feelings. They would rather try to soothe it over and nudge you gently in another direction, rather than being straight up about their suspicions and hurt you.
Women are all about emotions and emotional reactions. Men are more straightforward. While men may deal from a place of emotions, they don’t take time to necessarily look at the emotional side of the equation. They would rather have simple, non-emotionally clouded answers. The trouble is that our women friends do nothing more than cloud the issue rather than setting us straight.

The comments have done much justice but to add my 2 cents. The surest way to know the solution to a problem is to ask the right question and get the right answers from who knows. That said, have you asked the lady in question? If that's too straight forward for you (maybe your feathers have started showing), why not ask her friend. Girls seem to tell their friends some details, even though not everything.

We already know this na so she should come with something else.

It is interesting the in Yoruba there are no words for apple, pineapple and even onions (alubosa from etymology shows that it was adopted and changed for easy pronunciation) yet there are two distinct words for being gay.

You have words like adodi and adofuro meaning being homosexual has always had some place in yoruba history but what is not clear is if it was outlawed but then again, there has never being historical evidences to show anyone was punished for it.

But then again, it is never seen that people practiced it in the open either by marriage or it was socially accepted but it existed.

As for the cross-dressing, popular musician Obesere has been wearing female clothing on stage for tears so Bobrisky's antics does not even surprise me. I guess what changed is the attitude and seeming feminity of Bobrisky that draws attraction to him
How does Cross-dressing prove homosexuality?
By your analogy, Obesere must be gay right?

Why do I suspect OP is a closet queer seeking justification in his heritage. On behalf of the yoruba race, we honourably deny and disown you. Benin people, over to you, he's all yours.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgal Imohimi, disclosed this to newsmen, stressing that the suspect was arrested on May 5 at Ado Road, Langbasa area of Ajah in Lagos.

Edgal said that the Pastor was arrested allegedly while in possession of an inciting publication titled: “Beware of Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) and Knights of the Catholic for they are occultic.”

He said that the pastor had invited his church members for a programme where he was to make a public pronouncement on the issue before the publications were intercepted on May 5.

So preaching salvation for his congregation is hate-soeech?
Did he go to the meeting of the said Catholic women and start preaching against them?

Why not just arrest everyone on Nairaland and Social media for hate speech and religious intolerance then, who's more guilty??
