Just listening to Sheikh Gumi on his visit to various 'bandit' locations in northern Nigeria on an Abuja radio station right now, you realise Nigeria is in big, big trouble.

I just don't know where to start but I think we seriously need to look outwardly and begin to unite to solve this problem across any and every interest group.

He is saying in a nutshell right now that 'the government' IS NOT LISTENING.

I understand that government should not be negotiating with criminal groups. It should be negotiatiating with LAW ABIDING CITIZENS and kike he said empowering them to TAKE CARE and CONTROL their environment.

You all in other parts of Nigeria need to listen to that radio interview this morning. It is exactly what Nigeria is today and where it is headed if nothing is done by Nigerians. As for the government it is ckear they have maxed out their ability to secure Nigeria aka 'failing state'.

Folks the time is ticking. By the time they acquire the anti aircraft weaponry they told the Sheikh they are seeking, the balance of power will be completely changed in the countryside.

We should stop to blame president Buhari for every evil done in Nigeria,
Buhari is never Nigeria problem,
Nigeria problem is Nigerians,

Northerners are the problem of North,

Igbos are the problem of Igbo

Yorubas are the problem of yoruba,

South South are also problem of South South,

Why blaming Buhari for everything?
That's unfair

Nigeria corruption was at highest level before Buhari came to power,

What do you expect from him?
To transform Nigeria to paradise over night?
He is doing that no doubt,
But he need our support,

Nigerians always in a hurry, we need to take things easy,
Instead of accusing Buhari, use that energy to pray for him,

I want to ask you?

Have you ever ask God in your prayers to give Buhari all that it takes to put Nigeria in order?

Buhari is not a wicked man as people think,

My message is clear,

Nigerians please stop saying evil about Buhari, stop wishing him dead, because he is not your problem.

Thank you all,

Why didn't you give the previous government 'time' to get it right. Mister, Constitutional democracy is like school. You learn a lot on the job and write exams at some stage. At the end of the two term sessions you are let go with a certificate called a legacy. All takers have equal time. There is no excuse for Mr Buhari"s Presidency. His legacy is setting in stone.

The citizens should follow up on their arrest, not with self help but with a firm eye on the authorities to thoroughly intereogate those men and investigate their acrivities with a view to understanding their modus operandi, their associations and their motivations so that other groups could be tracked and preemptive action taken.

They should also follow up with pressure to ensure the full weight of the law is brought upon them in accordance with the recently amended provisions which stipulates the maximum punishment for such crimes.

The role of Edo youth is critical because it is their region and its socioeconomics that is under threat. If these incidents are not handled properly and cerebrally then their future is at stake. It is not a joke.

Weeping because he committed a traffic offense or what?. As long as the punishment is stated clearly and a moratorium was established after the fact then I'm totally good with it.

If you do the crime then be prepared to lose the dime. I just wish those vehicles are sold way below value so it can be very, very painful to the offender. Let them just make sure the auction is clean and cerebral.

It is called the 'state of the nation' we often speak about. That barometer of socio-economic stability and progress this government doesn't give a hoot about.

See how in just a few years in charge the nation is tearing itself apart due to their actions and inactions geared towards certain ethnic superiority.

No matter how big an engine's cylinder and piston is, it will never outperform another with multiple smaller pistons and cylinders working perfectly synchronised.

This government taking out other tribes one after the other from the power equation will never result in a better Nigeria. It will only weaken her as we can see year on year.

In this cashless economy it is her fault. Government through the CBN has repeatedly told citizens to trade electronically.

A business of dense financial exchanges such as commoditkes cannot do without it. Even vendors in traffic are going virtual.

If they did not give her fake notes they could have as well waylaid her on the way to the bank. Anything above 5,000 should not be in ones personal possession. It is unnecessary and fast becoming horrendously dangerous.

The chances of recovery from virtual scams are getting a lot better by the day and with NIN can become significant whereas physical dupes will almoat never be caught.

My advice. If in business use a bank with fast, accurate virtual platforms and have a proactive accounts officer, period.

There are certain precedents set in this administration that have consequences on institutions, governments and the nation at large for decades if not generations to come.

This is NOT a good decision for so many reasons, the first of which is to keep the military out of politics, a road which has been painstakingly laid with sweat, blood and tears over rhe past two and a half decades.

Honestly, institutions have never had it so bad, so rough, so undermining with things just done anyhow just to satisfy personal interests. Can anyone point out any gain to Nigeria whatsoever by this 'incident'.

Why can't those in government just love this country for even one fleeting moment and let her breathe. Why the constant angst and controversies. Why?

There are thousands of other notable persons who are better placed to speak freely about the current crisis in Nigeria; the only people losing sleep over Amaechi not talking are his sworn enemies who are simply desperate to see him mauled.
And what is wrong with political office holders being 'mauled' or 'hated' as you put it. Are they not servants. Do you love or hate your servant? Is that the basis of your relationship with your workers... No.

You love your relations but relate with your servants on the basis of performance commending them when they perform and berating them when they mess up or fall below expectations.

Amaechi may not be held liable for a view on a goverment he serves. My servant will be fired if he or she expresses opinions concerning service to me in public however to berate hapless citizens calling them haters for demanding explanations of public officials who are paid at public expense is just stupid.

We all own this country and those in authority are placed there and paid by the citizens of this country who have every right to demand accountability. How can you call your boss a hater for demanding to know how and why you do what you do when you serially fail and waste his resources....

Anyone expecting praise from the people in the midst of he worst state this country has ever experienced in its history is crazy, period.

Britain was just lucky not to have been on the same land mass as the rest of Europe
You are not entirely correct too.
Yes, between the wars Hitler had great respect for Britain. He saw in the monarchy the kind of stability he so desired of himself and his country.

But he also knew ot would be impossible to keep Britain out of Europe again ao he had plans to take Britain but only if he was large enough to withstand America because he knew America would not allow Britain to fall.

His hands were forced when he began attacking American flag ships resupplying Britain and when his ally in Japan foolishly attacked Pearl habour his time began to run down.

He had plans to take down Britain but only when he was fully prepared. He was never able to max out his military.

However you are right. If Britain was on continental Europe the war on the western front would have been done and dusted by 1940. But if Britain was on continental Europe America as we know it today will also not exist.

doxijaw:
What would have happened to Africans if Hitler had won?

Any historians here to enlighten us
In the aftermath of the firat world war Germany was forced to give up its colonies round the world and end the kind of sovereignty Britain, France and Portugal enjoyed. So in the second war it had to fight to regain territory and Africa was in its cross hairs.

By starting in North Africa Hitler aimed to destroy the British and thus protect the southern flank of his empire. Then he will move eastwards into the arabian peninsula, drive the British out and take control of the vast oil resources present there.

Make no mistake about it. Hitler had a plan of world domination and knew the risks of taking on the entire world simultaneously but as time went by and the Allies grouped his plans went out the window.

Hitler had no regards for Africa anymore than the colonists before. He will have done exactly the same, plundering her resources and enslaving her people, just to a much more severe degree, afterall he referred to blacks as sub-human and mocked the allied powers for conscripting some into their armies.

So he will have made Africa one huge concentration camp and perhaps fikkes the continent with not a few Dr. Mengele's. Perhaps today we will be seeing a few brothers and sisters with tails, three or four legs, horns and hooves.

The Nazis were pure evil.

Wrong sir. At the beginning Russia had a pact with Germany that it will not be attacked if it did not interfere in Europe. Russia did, Germany did not.

With the loss of Africa and rhe potential oil from the planned mid east incursion gone, Hitler tore up the pact with Russia and massed troops qith the aim of capturing the oil fields of the Caucasus.

Russia in its naivety never secretly developed its military so it had to turn to America and Britain for help to kickstart its defence and its was given massive inventories of planes, tanks and artillery pieces.

That is why the Germans initially had the upperhand and siezed almost a fifth of the country in just a few weeks. Russia was not up to speed.

But Hitler's obsession for grandeur made him split his own army in two and diverting vital resources to capture Stalingrad which neither had administrative nor economic importance. By pursuing a city just for its name he lost the entire war.

A building that is designed to produced nothing but confusion, pain and suffering in the name of adminsitration is not worth celebrating. Government exists only to organise society and when they take from you and then spend the bulk on themselves it will amount to madness to cheer them on.

They may as well sit under a tree for all I care. That is how I, I, I regard government. I do not worship them. No one in any sane country on earth likes any government and most absolutely abhor politics and politicians. Just a simple piece of legislation decentrealising the national police and/or making way for the creation of state police so that we can ultimately hold state governments responsible for the viability of crime in their spheres of influence. So that crime can become an electoral issue at state level.

What concerns IGP Adamu with this man's unfortunate demise. A volcano on Jupiter will not move a feather on earth. So faraway from him and his office will be the anger, the protest and the heat from this tragedy that nothing, absolutely nothing will change or positively happen. Folks, the most important things as regards to life and living should be closest to the points of need, domiciled at home.

It is an absolute tragedy not to demand for a total restructuring of the security services in Nigeria in the midst of the greatest period of insecurity in the history of this country since the civil war. How many more people will be needlessly lost before we push for... a simple line of new legislation.

If we had real leadership across board every state should just link their economic hubs and production centres to their respective borders and the next stage takes it up from there. In no time we will have a national rail network.

The cost of inner city roads and those high maintainance highways and bridges governor are so apt to showcase are not bringing in value for investment in real terms.

Mr. Obi has done his job as a leading political figure. Stirred up debate. Brought to light the darkness around that procurement the details of which should be in the public anyway. That is what good governance is all about. Now that the details are in the public then we the people decide the viability of that deal. That is participation or participatory governance. That is what democracy is all about. That is how nations develop.

Let the people debate the things important to them. After all it is their money that is being spent. It is a shame on the National Assembly that the people have to go behind their backs to take on the government about issues they, the Assembly should be vigorously debating so that the people get value for their tax naira in public procurement.

Such debates are presently taking place in all active democracies all over the world in various parliaments, about the vaccines, the costs, the roll out, everything. Here they say and do nothing. Indolent, dull and lazy things.

No sir. Stay in your political parties and 'maintain' them, repair, revamp them by removing the worn components and replacing them with new ones. That is how life progresses.

Regeneration comes from WITHIN. Develop the culture of self sufficiency instead if importation, of self actualisation instead of escapism. Biden is President under a party voted out four yeats ago. In four years time a new candidate will emerge for the Republicans.

If the Republicans want power thy will be FORCED to present a candidate the country can vote so they know right now they have to evolve, to regenerate to survive. So the battle starts within.

If Nigerians want to progress and they feel Atiku and Tinubu are maxed out and worn thy should do maintainance on those parties in replacing the two rather than the vain and retrogressive quest in reinventing the political wheel every election cycle. You can never move forward like that.
Politics › Re: 2023: Atiku, Tinubu Are Not Good Candidates For Presidency — Deji Adeyanju by Reference(m): 6:52am On Feb 03, 2021
Typical of the black race that cannot form viable societies anywhere on earth. If it doesn't work, destroy it they say. So they lack everything from a maintenance culture on the basic of investments to a negotiation culture that forms the basis of national democratic development.

Like most respondents above chanting split Nigeria, scatter everything...break the country. It is either their way or everything must be destroyed...

Thus for the black man living in the largest concentration of fellow blacks in any one geographic area life is short, nasty and brutish simply because he does not have the mental capacity to sit around a table and agree specific values as building blocks for corporate progress and prosperity.

Nigeria is like this today not because of Mr. Buhari, Jonathan Yaradua, Obasanjo, Abacha et al. It is like this because we put them there as our as the limitations of our collective mental capacities. And because of that limitation we cannot maintain them once they start to work and cannot replace them effectively when they eventually go bad.

Why?

Just like our poorly maintained roads and airports and dirt in open drains, we have not agreed values and standards by which we seek to exist. This is not a leadership problem but a citizen one. One the black man, the Nigerian simply cannot attain.
