Oga. Look at the stats. Look at the schesule of debts of each state. Look at the schedule of bailouts each state has taken to date. You don't need to hear. Just read if you can.

He is telling you what he did as governor not what he thinks as a civilian. His financial prudence in office was second to none and laid the foundation for a fiscally responsible and prosperous state.

But of course Nigerians don't like things like that. They prefer sweet talk and propaganda. They prefer Mr. President who promised to be frugal but his daughter flies the Presidential jet, the very fleet he promised to trim. While the nation is all but bankrupt.

Mr. Obi was frugal at a time when there was a lot more money to waste.

I say a big Amen to your prayers above.
What sense is he making. Is he not supporting the structutes that make and pepetuate corruption. For your information much more than this is lost from the Nigerian treasury every year at all levels. Much more than this is not remitted by the NNPC and other revenue generarting agencies of goverment as alleged by NIETI and other NGO's.

We are just joking if we expect different results from the same way of doing things. The only thing you can be sure about in the future is further seizures and remittances of past and present stashes as soon as the Abacha loot is exhausted.
Politics › Re: What Bagudu’s $110m Largesse Can Do For Nigeria by Reference(m): 3:41pm On Feb 24, 2020
Its all a fallacy. If it could do these things it will have done them long ago. It is rather foolish to expect that with this structrure we operate those things are even remotely possible.

It is like an adult hoping to be a Dangote but wakes up at 9am everyday. Just the wishful thinking of a sluggard. The structure is not there.

The realists amongst Nigerians will be looking at how to beg, borrow or steal from it. His house will soon be a Mecca of some sorts with loafers and fair weather friends chanting his name day and night and baying for a slice.

In saner climes (no pun intended) the man will be on voluntary exile, his house burnt to the ground by the mob. Nigerians are there doing power points ans pie in the sky charts of what will never be. Nigerians are simoly not competent enough to have a better country, period.

Cowards.

This thing will not cease until the liability is extended. The limited liability for youth crime is inconsequential and only breeds impunity. If his parents were in the dock for his past activities he will be alive today. Sureties and guarantors must be made mandatory for college admissions in Nigeria. Higher education is not compulsory anywhere in the world.

'Better Company' seems to be lost on most reponders here. If the shares were to be on the market, which will you buy between the two. Which Company is more secure, stable, sustainable and has the capacity to absorb cyclical global economic turbulence, That is a better proper argument. Not infantile arguments on whether a Camry is better than an E-550.

I am sorry to say so but. Where is the beach?
Why is it that beach experiences in Nigeria are about every other thing except the beach. Just so annoying.
What is my business with food and drinks, dancing girls, music/noise and rowdiness.
Was at three so called Lagos beaches the year end 2018/19 and it was a poor experience to say the least. Just like this.

Lagosians is there a beach where I can lay down on the sand under an umbrella and just listen to the waves crashing in peace.

If I want Davido's music bursting my eardrums I go to a club. If I want drinks I go to a bar. If I want grub I go to a restaurant. If I want hookers I go to a hot house and if I want flies and bugs aplenty I spread my towel besides a landfill.

If this is an attempt to create Miami beach like experiences then this is a poor rendition and certainly not the only model of beach tours.
Car Talk › Re: Is Toyota A Better Company Than Mercedes? by Reference(m): 7:39am On Feb 24, 2020
My principle of life is that you can only be truly successful if you make others successful. In business terms it means lifting the lowly by products and services. In that light exclusivity is a no no. Logically looking at the most successful companies and the richest CEO's right now, the goods and services they offer apply to the widest demographic possible.

Starting in Nigeria. Dangote is where he is because his products are used universally throughout every demographic in Nigeria. He simply cannot have a bad day. In the world Jeff Bezos just sells stuff online. Stuff everyone, the rich, the poor uses. He cannot have a bad day. Both these men and a lot more have a choice of selling diamonds, gold, private jets and yatchs, trading futures or multi-million dollar paintings but folks who do these are barely successful and are always at the edge of financial peril.

There was a time a certain Dan Kabo and Dangote were somewhat at par in financial muscle. One chose to put a fortune into an airline, the other into his first cement plant. Today the difference is clear.

Toyota is and will always be a more successful company as long as the taxi driver, student, pool manager, trader, housewife simply cannot afford to own and maintain an average Mercedes Benz model... simply because that demographic is a lot more.

The bible says, 'the poor will always be amongst you'. This is a secret statement to the business world. You simply cannot avoid being super successful and super rich if you serve the poor and lowly.

I have an uncle doing very well for himself with enough vacant accommodation in his house, yet, he sleeps in same room with wifey with all the wife personal effects in the room. Marriage is over 3decades, except practically unavoidable (medical line) he always try to come home to sleep even if it's very late, and wife always try to wait for him before going to bed
That is understandable. As a couple advances in years, when they have achieved much in life and the hustle is ebbing away, the kids are grown and left home then there is nothing that should keep them apart. As a matter of fact aged couples should stay close to each other to hedge against sudden illness and medical emergencies that wil become frequent with age.

Cardiac events for example are more likely to happen in the odd hours of the night. A lot of 'died in his/her sleep' events are aviodable if the vulnerable are kept company. Unfortunately for a lot of older couples this is when age old grudges have hit their nadir and they drift apart.

This new yam generation sef. Stay in separate rooms , so that we have our privacy. Chat with our side chicks and enjoy social media groove. While our spouse is in the same building with us. We have bastardized the institution of marriage so much because of our selfish interest. Separate room is same as bachelorhood. One of the reasons for the 4000 divorce application in Abuja
If you are a regular 9 to 5 couple without much going around your life then there is no reason to be apart at bedtime but like I said not every couple is like that and not every marraige is built like that. The key is understanding and prior agreement. Say it and settle it before doing it. And don't make it a habit.

What if gou are married to an emergency room physician who can receive calls at any time. Within a week you will be pleading for your own room. In marraige it is best to approach issues of your partner with as much slack as possible, offering as much liberty as you can within the bounds of discipline and fidelity. Understanding is the key. Laws are usually precusors to problems when they are unreasonable, made without foresight and not settled in courtship.

Is it okay for a husband and wife to stay in separate rooms in the same house?

Some married couples operate like this and I am wondering why.

Let's discuss.
Yes.
There can be many reasons for this such as child care, illness, work life and several other reasons.
The key here is the purpose/reason and prior discussion and agreement.
Naturally the purpose should dictate the length of time this should occur but I cannot fathom that it would be open ended then temptations will arise.

Folks are just on about AJ v Fury but with four belts AJ has a slew of mandatories to come anyone of them being a potential banana skin.

I don't think the priority of the WBA, WBO, IBF or IBO will be a unification match neither do I think Fury's WBC will either. Neither will any promoter immeditely be able to stomp the massive cash needed to force their hands since Wilder is out of the equation...

...Except if AJ can persuade his new found friends in Saudi Arabia to pull out a bllion dollar promo....

.... then the IBF will gladly tell Pulev to take a hike.

That's neither here no there but there is no doubt that America is where the boxing cash is domiciled. PPV takings will not be great for two sweaty Brits hugging each other in the ring. Perhaps for a Latino...

Even with three belts you still hear, 'Anthony who? He should go there for the next couple of fights and see how they receive him. Just for the money.
Sports › Re: Tyson Fury Is The New WBC Heavyweight Champion by Reference(m): 9:20am On Feb 23, 2020
My only regret for AJ now is that commercial boxing has taken a hit with the Wilder loss. The truth is that America is the boxing Mecca of the world and they like their boys with the belts.

It took some searching on American media to locate the news of this fight which goes to show that interest from America on the heavyweight division is going to diminish which is not good news for the sport.

What I suggest is that both title holders move camp to the States and hold their early defences there to stoke interest amongst fans ahead of any unification attempt or the takings for such a high risk belt stake will not be worth it.

The four belts without an American name on any is like a tennis grandslam final without a Federer, Djokovic or Nadal or the Olympics 100m sprint finals without Americans or Jamaicans... just somehow...

Tyson came with a fearsome reputation of not only knockouts but timely ones. If I am not mistaken the time he spent in the ring in his first half dozen fights was not up to the period of a 12 round boxing match. His knockouts were timed in seconds not boxing rounds.

So the day he lost to Buster Douglas all the big man had to do was to survive one round after the other and with a confused and tiring Tyson, boom, a 50 to 1 shocking upset. Watched that one too on NTA.... when NTA was a real tv station.
