Angelfrost:They have quite a lot in the bag actually having not made significant signing the past two seasons and CR7 off the accounts. That alone frees up funds for at least one signing. |
The signing of Brazilian players no longer carries the excitement of years gone by no thanks to the over abundance of 'primadonas'. The average Brazilian superstar is more of hot air these days, spoilt brats and highly unprofessional. The good old days of the Cafu's, the Ronaldos, Ronaldinho's, Roberto Carlos and the Kaka's. The period when every top European club had a Brazilian star as an important trophy winning device in his squad is gone. These days it is touch and go, an unwrapped package that could spring surprises both ways. And with this has their fortunes at the national team level faded. Like Nigeria they have stagnated, bogged down in the mire of player misfortune. |
Nigeriabiafra80:Ask me. Is there not a Ministry of Agricul4ture. What is so special about cattle rearing. What percentage does it contribute to our GDP, tax income, foreign exchange earnings, etc, that it requires the bureaucracy of a distinct supervising Ministry. Day by day these fellows continue to lay claim for ownership of this country with scant regards for others in this complex, diverse entity called Nigeria. |
Relax sir. There is no democracy in Lagos state. No one will hold you to account. |
Serious minded leadership. No excuses. We have a problem, we fix it. |
I sincerely hope the father can as well. |
Omobolanlemi247:Gate takings during the last festivities. Usually in cash. |
spyg1:Hahaha.... they call it the Babayaro blues...but who can name the most prudent Nigerian sportsman (not just footballer) who has saved up/invested enough to sustain anything like a lifestyle in his/her active days. I will really love to know, to project such as a worthy example to the youth. And I mean serious, real Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson type dynamic, hands-on investments, not investment luxury goods or properties that are high maintenance or dodgy hotels in barren wildernesses. |
gift2xl:Like I akways say.... way tooo much black coffee and smokes will do that to you....especially when you're malnourished. |
Peezzy:Yes ma. Venice is below sea level and sinking. Most of the ancient streets have turned into canals over hundreds of years. Watercraft is the vehicle of choice in the ancient parts of the city and of course where there is transport there will be taxis. |
This is how to grow, from root to top.... small club to bigger, messenger to manager....not like his....club team mate, one Kekechi who ironically is growing from leaves to roots at the same club presently with his mate potentially attracting interest from a certain Manchester club... the red half. If this isn't one of the poignant lessons of life to us unlookers, I wonder what is.... |
I wanted to say something.... but I just donot have anytime to waste on frankly, useless set of administrators |
The present management of INEC is bringing the agency into disrepute. It is a pity that they could not build on the successes of the 2015 team. |
The only interest the men of this forum have about women are music, sexuality and scandals. There is so much more out there to understand and appreciate about women. There are a lot of women out there with passing looks and figures and seemingly uneventful lives in the surface but beneath are doing exceptionally well and breaking all sorts of bounds and doing fantastic things. Can we lay emphasis on these things for once. |
She did the right thing. I will not even open it before deleting. The loss is on both sides caused by unprofessionalism. Calls to question the quality of staff in that organisation. She should push through and replace whoever made that blunder as a first step. Alpha Consulting my sorry ass. |
Opexzy:Why National Assembly? , why not the Presidency. Which power have you given the National Assembly to change Nigeria that you seek to protest there. To whom much power is given much deliverables are expected. You fold your arms while the Legislature and Judiciary are neutralized and made mere appendages of the Executive then you deceptively go there to protest. Don't ever compare yourselves to foreign citizen activists. They know what they want, they develop collective values and don't practice hypocrisy. That is why you see them enmasse to better their country. They are not green white green crabs in this crab bucket of a country. |
lordpherow98:They have a deep seated history of racism. They famously hosted Nazi war criminals fleeing Europe when no other country would accept them. That singular act I believe doomed their country for decades after. Their economy is never far away from bankruptcy and still very few nations do business with them. Should have been a direct competitor to their northern and more illustrious neighbours, Brazil. They need a national cleansing. |
MobilityExpress:Open up other ports and all this grammar will end, period. New roads are being constructed by all citizens, new rail lines by the Federal Government, new airports by state governments, all to decongest traffic and attract business. Why are ports and sea freight immune from development, expansion and new investment. What is the hindrance if not for cartels and vested interest. |
davillian:I guess it was 'The Undertaker vs Legion of Boom'... |
mysteryman2014:But it boasts security as one if its first term successes. Or does security have another definition. This is what happens when a nation is collectively docile. Not demanding the needful from the Executive to act with the tools of government it has, not demanding from the Legislature for new and reformed framework to handle institutions effectively, not demanding from the Judiciary for swift and coincise decisions against felons. We will all suffer for our collective negligence and ignorance. Farmers will stay away, productivity will fall, prices will go up, i fkation will rise, poverty will increase and more youths will embrace crime. It is a terrible vicious cycle. |
otokx:As usual, distraction. To change the narrative. What will it profit you to hide issues when they come up. Who does surgery in the dark. The topic is about Zamfara. There are enough issues about the South-South. This is not the platform to debate them. |
ediko5:Oga. If you have a child all you have listed as excuses is exactly what you should be teaching the child to avoid. If this what you do then dig your grave, period. My children will not waste all the resources invested in them and the life God has given them on some silly excuse. If you like toy with yours. |
JudasNaCarrot:Let them bear it. They raised him. What did they teach him when others were using the rod of correction. |
EVILFOREST:Too much black coffee and cigarettos. |
...the comedy skit goes on.... |
essenceplus:It goes beyond latching. The problem starts with the way the containers are loaded and the failure to stabilize the contents and secure them properly inside the containers. This mainly occurs after inspection when agents do a rush job in trying to beat demmurage. Pressure will always cause corner cutting. |
Said enough about the Ports and the logistics industry in Nigeria with a spotlight on Lagos. It appears we are oreoared to die needlessly than do the needful. May sentiment not ruin us completely. |
MetaPhysical:That is what they do. The posters before you, defence, distraction and derailment. Typical Nigerians thay never seek value or truth. Just pecuniary shortsighted interests. Have they addressed the issue and thoroughly debated it before judging the vehicle of its delivery? |
jumper524:They should protect my people abeg. |
jumper524:They are not called surveyors but Recons. They are a unit embedded in the Infantry Corps with special skills to operate well ahead of the FOB and into 'enemy territory' to observe, record and report enemy operations. It is the most dangerous tasking in the Infantry Corps and only second to the work of Sappers in the Engineers Corps. In bad conflicts the casualty rate is almost 100 percent. They are the ones usually seen captured and promptly beheaded. The Artillery Corps on the other hand has 'Observers' or spotters who typically take the safe, forward high ground to direct artillery fire and observe enemy movements and the effectiveness of the deliveries. It is not normal for artillery units to be operating in close proximity to the enemy to be overrun easily. This is not right. The kill box of the smallest artillery piece we had the 105mm was 12 kilometers. In between that unit and the enemy will be several layers of infantry and armoured units. The idea being that as the army is in retreat the artillery moves first to set further back and give cover fire to the armoured units and infantry. That is how it was done back then. Artillery units are not at the cutting edge of hand to hand combat. That is not their primary training. They have small arms but their proximity is their defence and protection. You donot want the enemy to get at your artillery to silence or capture it. It appears NA doctrine is changing. |
Belial06:So what are you doing on this 'Nigeria Forum'. Can you face your country before you turn to a pillar of salt. |
