We won't say sorry if that roof caves in on those kids. I just wonder how irresponsible the parents of those kids can be to put them glaringly in harms way. To the Teachers and Principal, jail time for manslaughter awaits. |
Not the frugality that was much trumpeted about exactly four years ago when you were famously photographed at breakfast with satchet beverages. What has happened since then?... |
Peoples are free to express themselves in whatever civil way they so choose. To remember their fallen and the cause for which they were lost cannot be denied amd for any to oppose that is cruel and dehumanizing. Never in history has the collective will of a people for liberty has been denied. The strength of nations on the other hand has been a result of collective bargaining under the tree of equity and justice. Nigeria is not an equitable and just nation. Thst is why it simply cannot progress. That is why every year, every government, every generation appears worse than the previous. If any man cannot see the downward spiral this country is heading, either through ignorance or grand deception, then he is not mentally fit to be a citizen. This country needs to be restructured, simple. I implore my friends, the good people of the East to persevere in bringjng to light the injustices prevalent in this country. Be patient. Nigeria can still be made to work for you. To work for everyone. |
The President shouldn't bother. Drones take care of business these days. |
Mein Gott!!!! |
'Sound of Silence': Simon & Garfunkel.... its all about where you were, who was with you and what you were doing when you first heard it.... ![]() |
eyeview:You must be joking. I fully eexpect the opposition APC to come after you guys from the get go. Your political capital starts to expend from now. If yoou cannot get the necessary public traction it will be 4 long years. Better leave the media space and face governance squarely. |
Woeful performance by this government. The worst on the economy since the serious contraction of the Abacha years as if we are under international economic sanctions despite the huge resources expended on the many trips abroad, nothing has remotely come to fruition to the benefit of Nigeria. We are seriously under siege in Nigeria to this government. Just a pity. |
When I say Victoria Island and Lekki has no long term future, they say I have come again. The cost of living there will continue to escalate with sea levels until only an otter will be comfortable living there. |
Exactly what I've been saying. Where is the impact of the so called integrity. A policy that cannot better the lot of a people is just a waste of time. |
Years of Wenger mis investment bearing fruit. The philosophy of buying young to groom has proven fatal. The facts are clear. The biggest budgets will get the best players that enable a tradition of silverware. Yhere is simply no way now to win trophies without a massive squad and a quality coach only good money can buy. I believe the successes of Tottenham and Ajax this season are the exception and cannot be a repetitive model anyone should aspire to. The clubs likely to be seen at major cup finals and breaking all sorts of sporting records are the Real Madrids, Barcelonas, PSGs, Manchester Citys of this world. Even clubs with strong footballing traditions but are relative conservative spenders such as Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are falling behind and will find it increasingly difficult to win at the biggest stage. As for Arsenal the loss of a potential 100 million pounds leaving them with just 40 million for transfers clearly places them at the bottom of tier two clubs and I cannot see them qualifying for the champions league for sometime to come. They are in a viscious downward spiral. |
Olatunji1929:Handover to God Almighty....hahahaha....kai, this country is a joke indeed. |
FIRS drivers going Armani .....all good....sigh.. |
I will continue to say this. Only restructuring can put an end to this,. It is the only way a single government official can cease to have access to such an amount without recourse. The EFCC in this arrangement is just chasing the elusive bigfoot. |
ogunsj:He owes nobody nothing. Even if he is removed tomorrow he should stand independently with the people not a clique. The election that brought him to power was that of the people. It is not called democracy for nothing. Will you say the same if President Buhari was bowing down to Tinubu, Obasanjo and others that facilitated his presidency in 2015. Anyone who isn't satisfied is free to contest against him. This is not a monarchy or autocracy. |
BabaAlabi:Sounds too personal and petty. If it isn't about issues he should just retire. And it cannot be about issues becsuse hd remsins in tje party as was removed on account of poor performance. No one will take him serious. |
Lovely. Good job. First of its kind in Nigeria.... perhaps West Africa. |
afroniger:Diabetes is no longer a death sentence except assisted by ignorance, carelessness or poverty. |
I think the APC is learning by bricks and mortar that democracy in its purest form is the only antidote to internal disintegration. Looking forward to a day without godfathers and special interests, when strongmen will give way to stronger institutions. |
Lagosfinder:Hmmmm..... by a country mile |
israelmao:Hope... hope.... hope. Hope is not a strategy (Agent August Walker, Mission Impossible - Fallout). In contemporary life, hope on a politician or on any humanoid is just stupidity and crass ignorance. People who get things out of politicians the world over, fight for them. Even Mr. President's children will fight for whatever largesse they enjoy thoughtless of one insignificant citizen X. I just donot see any functional democracy anywhere in the world where leadership in not under the kush. Even long standing democracies of the west where economies are sound and societies are just and progressive, no leader is held insuch godlike status that adherent citizens have to exercise faith and reverent hope in them. The summary is stark. Anything that Mr. Buhari and his government cannot be forced to do.... WILL NOT BE DONE. You can take that to the bank. |
After 3 years deny it. |
Indeed you have to. Excuses are ended. You are inheriting a government from your own so every blame will be gracefully accorded you. You had the chance to bail. |
solmusdesigns:That was a war between nations, not between religious groups, cult wars or mindless terrorist acts of individuals. The world is lucky that the victors with the exception of the Soviets were proponents of universal liberty if not hy now you will either have no religious freedoms, or be exterminated for failing to bow down to the Japanese Shinto or Nazi bald eagle. So to compare the sacrifices of the second world war to mindless acts of middle eastern originating terror is just silly. The middle east could have been over run by any obe of the axis powers in a blink of the eye. General Montgomery of Britain stopped Field Marshal Erwin Rommel outside Egypt on his way to the Suez canal and onto the Arabian peninsula. |
tactius:Abeg. Just leave the fellow alone. He simply cannot understand the calamity this country faces nor the extraordinary tough choices set before us. |
That is why build to rent is an absolute no for me. Even when the tenant stays for just a year you spend half the rent renovating. Abeg, na build and sell if frustration us to be avoided. Nonsense. |
No big deal. The plane can land itself as long as the Pitot tube heaters are on. That is Airbus' Achilles Heel. |
Acidosis:Just like Nigeria. The confluence state is ably representing what happens at the centre of Nigeria's woes. |
Once again. Folks who cannot raise a finger of criticism to those who oppress and impoverish them despite all the power given them will be vocal where they have no stake and to those they have neither appointed. If you are angry about the depravity of society then leave this place and channel it appropriately. These prople are not responsible for what society has become. They merely exploit it. |
Mk93:I will wait to see how hardcore APC supporters will react to this. How they will seperate oil from water.... now that Lawan is likely to head and the lightning rod Saraki is gone. My two cents is that they agree with Lawan and slurp some vomit. |
A friend of mine lost millions in failed Imo State projects. I just wonder who in his right mind will invest in that sort of government, or any Nigerian government for that matter. |
MKULTRA:Oga. It is a bridge....bridge.....bridge. |
