tactius:Saying this for years. Nigerians donot like to pay for services. They will barely pay for products but services.... never. |
If you cannot question those you stand in the hot sun on election day to empower with your votes but question those you donot know, did not empower for the same social services ypu desire then you need to have your head examined. I simply cannot describe what you are. Please leave this place and do the needful. You have it in you to criticise, you know what is right.... how you misdirect your fire is beyond comprehension. Leave the jet setting pastor to his constituents that he taxes and face those you pay to. |
Holycity:Generally. No. The reason is simple physics. You transfer momentum from the vehicle to your body. You are still moving at the same velocity as the vehicle at the point of departure so you are likely to contact whatever you are seeking to avoid with the same energy dissipating albeit over a smaller mass which is you. No matter how bad a crash is. The vehicle is bound to absorb the bulk of the contact/collision energy. Which means if a person is killed inside a vehicular crash, it would be a certainty if the person elects to bail out. However if the vehicle looses much of its velocity and a person observes greater danger coming such as an on coming vehicle, or a cliff edge then such idea may be reasonable. |
bonnyhope:Oga. Look at the size of the building and the spec of materials before commenting in away that questions your reasoning. That building is meant to be a national monument not just an ordinary church builfing so its design and materials of construction are exotic. The roof material in question looks to be made of some special metal alloy or coating not common in Nigeria and certainly not that I have seen. And it is not surprising it cannot be repaired. Even if it was common longspan aluminum to be used I cannot see how that building roof covering will not cost up to 20 million. It is a large, complex roof. |
I agree. Enugu is just a fantastic place to live if you fancy the East. Governance has been stable and relatively competent since the 4th Republuc. I can see a lot of investment moving there. But then there is Ebonyi making giant, catch up strides. So beware. |
maoolakanm:The parents will be going through their 'children upbringing' notes, wondering where they missed the values of keeping their wards in the straight and narrow. The military taught me how to swim. Before then my parents had warned me never to approach the lip of a pool. Those detailsmake a huge difference in life. The abundance of caution cannot be overemphasized. I can't say what I have regretfully missed in life by being led properly. |
It is an inherent part of war. War is costly in men and means on all sides. That is why it should be avoided by all means. |
He learnt too late that the ruling APC does not have a serious national agenda. They just appear to use the many to project the interests of the few. |
OptimistBrain:Your academic competence is meant to serve you 'on the job', on tbe task your employment entails. It does not confer you with a job. It is your skill and acumen that gets you a job. That is the purpose of job interviews. No one will just give a certificate holdr employment without an opportunity to see him speak and act no matter how lofty his credentials are. Now if you are not called for interview on account of the tough job market, project your skills and acumen to an uninterested market. Demonstrate your skillls and shop window your services at your cost and if they are good enough believe me AND HEAR THIS GOOD. SOMEONE WILL BE SACKED TO MAKE WAY FOR YOU. Half of the opportunities I have experienced in career has been at the expense of someone else that simply couldn't do it better, cheaper, faster amd more creatively than me. In this light there is nothing like unemployment anywhere. Every organisation in the world except those on a course to destruction will always seek to upgrade and advance its business and this includes its staff. I can go on and on but my break time is over and I have to get back to work. Chopper is coming in. |
When I say structure is the key problem of Nigeria, you all say corruption is the only problem. Well take what you have been brewing. |
Seun. I hope you're seeing this. Your own remains statically indeterminate. Betting fraudsters having a free run without solution. |
Xbee007:My brother, loss is loss. The premiums he will be given after settlement may put him out of business. The margins are very fine. |
You employ a driver to move your 3 ton vehicle carrying 5 passengers and you ask for his driver's license that indicates his competence and authenticity....okay. You then seek to lay up a 500 ton buiilding to warehouse 5 families and you engage a contractor without a shred of evidence of competence or authentication of claims... The story of Nigeria. |

When I say restructure, Nigerians say no. That corruption is the problem. Yet after 4 years of fighting corruption the average Nigerian is poorer amidst unrelenting scandals emanating from government. The smokescreen has been effective though in blighting tje call for a change in the way Nigeria exists and Nigerians relate as the past government tried to do in its dying days but has been completely and conveniently ignored by this administration. Meanwhile the discourse today in every territory of Nigeria today is insecurity caused primarily by man and his oppressor, the civil and the ungovernable, the law and the lawless, all things restructuring will have solved. At the rate at which this country deteriorates, no amount of money will be able to salvage her. Nigeria is getting weaker and fractured by the day. And four years cannot pass too soon enough to get a better direction. |
What happens after that....in printed bar code at the back of the neck....the mark of the beast....? |
I donot like electoral court victories. It is like lynching an apprehended felon, you gain nothing but phyrric satisfaction. I prefer the angst resulting from a botched mandate be wholly channeled towards institutional reforms. Nigerians must ascend beyond the mediocre atmosphere of 'you lose I win' to one that ensures that everyone wins no matter the outcome of elections, that is a fight for the overall good of the nation. If Atiku's quest for electoral justice will not lead to the reformation and strengthening of INEC and the electoral architecture of this country, then it is better he leaves this country alone and returns home. As a past Vice President he had great opportunity to influence the creation of a solid electoral body but as usual the shortsightedness and greed of those in power never allows them to see themselves pissing in the pot they would cook with tomorrow. |
Pitfalls of undemocratic selection. If he was product of proper democracy will he dare say this. |
Please let us be abeg. Nigeria does not revolve around government workers. There is a larger and more important economy out there that is being ignored. If government after appropriating the bulk of Nigeria's earnings, assets and liabilities just to serve a miniscule fraction of its citizens and still cannot keep up, then there is something fundamentally wrong. Government is not attending to the goose that should lay the eggs of economic prosperity. Yes, you heard it from me. If government was to switch its attention from its staff to Nigeria, its staff will benefit in the long run. Nations are run on the performance of the majority, not to the pleasure and comfort of the minority. The pension issue will remain unsolvable until the horse takes responsibility in front of the cart. |
Treasure17:Yes sir. On this forum late last year. Exactly at Sango-Ota. Same pictures of floods. So, safe to say that in 2020, same floods, same place, same people pushing flooded cars and doing nothing to hold those entrusted to providing minimum quality infrastructure accountable. |
Love should conquer all.... in all relationships. |
deltateam:A lot..... and a lot more. |
highcollide:To us, reasoning is the death of belief and the end of performance. I succumbed to sleep at 3am this morning but I was persuaded in my heart I could complete my tasks before dawn. I woke up late at 5.30am with just 45 minutes to set my laser optical instruments and take critical readings before the sun blinds them. I finished the 2 hour task in 30 minutes. There are certain things and situations you need to ignore reasoning and believe that challenge can be overcome at all odds. You can then imagine what belief in the Almighty God can do for man. We are truly a fallen generation. That is why the world continues its downward slide to despondency. |
Babatundecash:He has every right to contest in 2023. It may not be fair geo-politics in the context of rotational political offices but Nigeria was never established to make logical sense. As for Mr.Veepee, there was a widely circulated photo of him signing some document in the run up to the 2015 polls with the Jagaban in court and Remi Tinubu as witness....my wild guess is that it was perhaps a 'forfeiture of future ambition' pledge. Anyway Mr. Veepee is not a politician and cannot handle present day Nigeria with any sense of authority. The personality and regime of Jonathan Goodluck is a pointer to this and his tepid persona in the face of a number of direct challenges to his authority these psst 4 years is not encouraging. Nigeria is still shedding its military exo-skeleton. |
We shouldn't have more that five or six. China, United States, the EU (in Brussels), Australia, the UK and Japan. Our missions should be strategic towards our developmental goals. Deepen not widen foreign engagements. |
The creation of cartels is the hallmark of that criminal organization running the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. |
But when you tell them to devolve the centrist law enforcement architrcture, they say no. |
Hmmm...why is one leg always crooked like a pony about to trot or a failed Nazi goose step..... just asking.... |
Its called a 'mugshot' and that's all. Though we we understand why you need to add 'photo'.... afterall this is Nigeria where we withdraw cash using an ATM machine.... |
Global warming and sea level rises is real. No matter how good your drains are. It is taking longer for perspiration to reach the oceans. Flooding is a reality going forward in all coastal cities worldwide. They have no viable long term future particularly 3rd world cities lacking the massive technical and financial capabilities to hold the oceans back. |
What is our problem here. We have told you folks what to do repeatedly but you insist so enjoy. What is our business with Apapa. Continue sentiments till bankruptcy. |
Not surprised. Our Naira notes carry more bacteria than a month old corpse. Should have kept a desiccant in there. Cheap and available everywhere. And the bank will issue the notes and it will end up in the wallet of one miserable bozo who will buy 'pure water ' in traffic to wash down the pathogens with. |
