Be thankful the guy on the other end is a priest. At least you are sure he didnt do IT with your wifey.
Are you saying that because you still have some faith in mankind...or simply because he is a "reverend father" |
...and all that the story quoted was "A SOURCE." All the people that can confirm or debunk the story were unavailable for comments ![]() How convenient ![]() |
yelsew80: Apples and Oranges. Nigeria's tertiary education system has a problem that's a fact no one can deny, how does pumping money to "spoil" lecturers solve the problem?See!!! That didn't hurt now did it? I know it was hard responding to another differing opinion without resorting to insults, but u did it!!! ![]() For the sake of argument again let me agree with you that GEJ had no input to the 2009 agreement and was also arm twisted into advising his principal to sign off an agreement because he was "powerless" as Vice President. In 2012, GEJ was the President when he endorsed an MOU to implement the same agreement. Why did he do that seeing that he now had a second chance to look at the said agreement through the eyes of a president? |
yelsew80: What again is your username? Ok Reptile right? What's the average size of the brain of a Reptile? No wonder! Perhaps you should consider merging your head with Demdemoron's maybe you'll finally get a brain that'll function like a human's! ![]() Dude!!! Like seriously That was the best comeback you could muster Clown!!!Guy, you and I could have a very sane argument if you would cut back on your penchant for insults against people who don't share your opinion. It really isn't my style to engage in insults as it totally vitiates the merits of arguments. I take back my insult and apologise. But please DO NOT INSULT ME AGAIN in response to my post on this forum. I give much more than I get. A foul mouth doesn't make you sound intelligent. Just exposes you as someone who lacks the marble to hold an argument and chooses to resort to bullying to mask their insecurities. I will not be bullied by you or any other person on this forum. Have fun. |
taharqa: So you believe what a local ASUU Union leada says, abi? What do you expect him to say b4?Bros the statement from the "local" ASUU union leader is a verifiable fact! But let's even say for the sake of argument that Vice President GEJ being powerless in 2009 was forced to advice the FG to sign a hash of an agreement, was President GEJ of 2012 also powerless? |
Seems even Mr. president and Mr Senate President were all parties to the 2009 agreement and also played a key role in its review last year. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/ASUU-jonathan-party-pact/ Strange to see all these key players feigning ignorance of the content of that agreement barely 5 years after agreeing to it. Perhaps GEJ did not know at the time that the onus to implement it would fall on him at the time. Poetic justice ![]() |
Another day, another new tale from madam minister...sigh!!! |
The longer this strike lasts, the less likely it is for ASUU to agree to anything less than the FULL IMPLEMENTATION of the 2009 agreement. It would make absolutely no sense for them to have held on for 4 months with all of the disruptive effects to our educational system, only to accept some watery and half-hearted commitment from the FG to a phased-out implementation of the agreement over the next few years. If ASUU concedes to anything less than 80% acceptance of their demands by the FG, I will personally spend my hard earned resources in mobilizing students to lynch ASUU members the next time they attempt to embark on a strike over the poor or non-implementation of the 2009 agreement. I think it is time we bite the bullet and get this intractable issue with our tertiary educational system sorted once and for all. It is such a shame that the students who would most benefit from a victory for ASUU in this matter have mostly allowed themselves to be be swayed by the FG's propaganda rather than stand with ASUU. Rather than NANS becoming the mouthpiece of government propaganda, it should be seen demanding for a full implementation of aspects of the agreement especially as it has to do with the infrastructural development of our universities. |
This amounts to defending the indefensible. As a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, Stella Oduah probably already rides in armoured vehicles and enjoys the services of a retinue of security aides and personnel. What does she need 2 old model BMWs for? This just goes to further highlight the unparalleled greed of the Nigerian ruling class who will go to any length to enrich themselves even if it means stealing things they do not need. Mrs Oduah should do the honourable thing and resign. Painting existing airports and building a few new ones as she claims she's championing isn't rocket science. I am sure the President can easily find a replacement. Knowing this government for what it is however, I am not holding my breath. |
Did anyone see the pilot episode? Please tell me there was no singing and dancing ala most Bollywood movies... ![]() |

zhaineey: Dis are some of d pix of d incidenceFirst picture is a true picture of the crash. 2nd picture is of a different accident...most likely a road accident on one of our interstate expressways, judging by the surrounding environment, the presence of the FRSC truck and the spectators seating on the road median. Stop being mischievous. |
Errr...are we to expect more pictures or are we to judge from these three pictures of the same spot you posted? Is that all the work that has been done at the PH airport? |
I hope this militia that has been set up will not become another nuisance in future. That is the same way all these ethnic militias started. They will obviously play a major role in helping the governor win the next election. In a nation where billions are spent on maintaining a standing armed forces, I do not see the need for engaging a private army at d state level. What happens to this private army of "trained" civilians after the BK saga comes to an end? Isn't this the beginning of another monster that will soon spiral out of control? |
vislabraye: Pls explain how the soldier was @ fault. He was wrong to be riding a bike on a road upon which bikes are banned. The bus driver was however at fault according to eyewitnesses, for not been more careful thus leading to the loss of a life. |
The soldier don die wrongfully be that o! Fashola don ban okada for qall this road but as soldier concern e feel like say em dey above d law. It is a shame sha. RIP to the dead. |
It has been several days since the incident and no news media has managed to publish the name of the owner of that building. If indeed the illegal occupants of the building were insurgents as claimed by the SSS, shouldn't the owner of the building be called in for questioning? Most of our local journalists are so lazy when it comes to investigative journalism. They just sit around waiting for press releases which they sometimes just publish without editing. |
All this pointless ultimatums are fast becoming jaded. By the way, is Asari Dokubo not a moslem? His take on this threat will be quite interesting ![]() |
Good idea. I also hope that the president and his ministers begin to swap out their official mercedes and land cruisers for some Innoson Sedans and SUVs. |
Rossikk: Why can't this idio.t writer wait until the MASSIVE remodelling work ongoing at MMA is fully completed before ranting like a mad fool?Because unlike you, the writer knows that a pig will remain a pig even if you hang a garland of roses around its neck. The "re-modelled" MMIA will still be a beautiful giant mess after the refurbishment is concluded. |
@ noblezone Nigeria will outlast GEJ, you and your great grand children. Y'all had no hand in putting it together. Y'all can try but will have no hand in tearing it apart. the sooner you begin to learn to love or at least tolerate people from other regions, the better for you. Hate is a vile emotion...quite debilitating. |
Nice jam! But Eddie Murphy has always had an interest in music...reggae particularly. He has an album from way back. |
Thank God common sense prevailed. I find the silence of people like Oritsejafor and other prominent Christian leaders on this matter very strange. They always have so much to say when it affects politics. |
Sincere 9gerian: When power drops by even 1megawatt, APC maggots will come out spitting fire but when the same power increases, they go into hiding. It is not impossible that APC warriors are responsible for the series of pipeline vandalism that resulted in drop of power in the first place.Everyone who complains about the light situation is an APC member right? Mtcheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!!!! Abeg comot for road for me make I go top my generator for d nite jare ![]() |
theoctopus: Ikot Ekpene Prisons. Built and handed over to the FG by the Akwa Ibom State government.Dem no build no schools anymore Dem no build no hospital All dem build is prison prison All dem build is a prison prison RIP Lucky Dube ![]() |
Kslib: Patiently Waiting for those who didnt understand what the pope said/meant to start calling him THE ANTICHRIST..You who understands what the Pope said explain to us... ![]() |
chronique: I've always known you to be an eediot on this forum who feels he knows everything and would end up insulting people who do not share same view with you. Please go look for your mate to ruffle feathers with and drag into your gutter lifestyle. I'm not on the same plateau with you. It's obvious you lack proper upbringing and manners since you do not have the mental capacity to engage in a public discussion without resorting to throwing insult and abuses here and there. You insulted nairalanders as a whole in your post. Dem yab u small now u dey vex. You could have equally made your point without referring to any nairalander as "dumb." Plateau ko...Yobe ni ![]() |
I weigh 122kgs...does dat mean i wont be welcome in New Zealand What's the acceptable weight in that country? |
The King is within his right to alter aspects of culture as the supreme custodian of same. After all, it must have taken one king to institute the contentious aspects of tradition that this present king is trying to abrogate. If one king could institute a tradition of worshipping a particular deity, why then do we feel that another king cannot abrogate that tradition? The king is an absolute ruler traditionally and his word is law within his domain. A monarchical setup is not democratic. The king RULES over his SUBJECTS. If this was back in the days of yore, these protesters will be charged with high treason and the king would have their heads on pikes in no time. Besides, if the gods anointed the King and he has decided to turn his back on them, can't the gods fight for themselves? Is that not the same thing we accuse radical muslims of doing i.e fighting for their God? This people should stop heating up the polity unnecessarily. |
demelza: Mr. Man, you look like the poster child for starvation. ![]() |
I have always known that Osaze Odenwingie wasn't the rascal we all made him out to be. He always plays with his heart whenever he has an opportunity. I hope he rediscovers himself at Cardiff. |
