It’s you who have problem. You said and I quote” I hardly go to any function in the village except it directly involve my parents

Meeting your parents in the village is not enough for you but you want to attend functions around the village like the village woman you are.

What if your husband took you and the kids abroad? Won’t you find a way to cope ? He’s not stopping you from meeting your parents , at least you went last year but you’re insatiable. What’s the whole matter that you want to destroy your home for?

Village functions right ? Like they will give you award in the village . He’s not maltreating you, he takes care of the family, he hasn’t stopped you from calling your parents and speaking with them via phone . When you guys got newly married he gave you free will to go to the village and even went along with you. So the picture he’s trying to block you from your family is totally false ! undecided

You’re unreasonable, unwise and headstrong. The security in the country right now is a total mess for one to risk moving around.

Just pack your bags and go to your village . You’re clearly lacking good sense .

Of all things to fight about, you choose your village over your matrimonial peace .
Aunty get out!
Bless you! kiss

Unfortunately, not every married individual will be sensible enough and marriage in itself does not cure foolishness.

Is this all you could come up with? You don't know me so stop assuming what you're not sure of
Sadly, I understand all there is to know about your person and I am guessing it is either:

1. You don't have a proper career or a proper job.
2. You are a full time house wife (not like it is a bad thing).
3. You are a social animal (which isn't bad) but can't prioritise between which needs to go between the home and social events if the former is on the line.

Regardless, you have so much time on your hands to worry so much about village parties. And the fact that you are constantly seeking validation by responding to every response proves you fall between 1 & 2.

fearlessmum:
Good evening all, I have been a guest of this forum for some years now, I
decided to register after reading a story shared yesterday by NPTJ to also share
mine and asked for advice as i am really confused right now.
Although my own case is different as i am legally married.
My husband and I have been married for five years now with two wonderful
kids.
Aside the reason for this thread, He's a very good husband and father to our
kids.
The issue is , he doesn't want me to go to the village with the children that
automatically means I can't go as I'm still breastfeeding our second child , I
cannot leave him and travel as he's not even up to one year.
My husband and my parents stays in different states. We went to the village
last year July and there's no plan of going this year, whenever I raise discussion about the issue he
simply replied that we'll go when there's a need for us to go.
I hardly go for any function in the village except it directly involves my parents.
This has brought a lot of issues between my nuclear and my extended families.
It wasn't like this when we married newly, we do visits them then and even go
during Christmas holidays but all that changed when we had our first child, he
feels we can't take the child to the village so that "village people" will not
attack him.
We've quarrelled about this severally yet nothing changes, I am tired of arguing
about this .
Please married folks, am I suppose to abandoned my extended family just
because I am married? Please I need matured advice before I do something
that I will regret.
Is my husband right on this ? has anyone been in my position, please help me.
He goes to his village whenever he has any issue to sort out but I cannot
Sorry o, but there are ways to smell terrible people from a distance even without meeting them. You got 'motivated' about NPT'J's thread—someone whose sister unceremoniously went away with a man and you think the man you are married to does not allow you to visit your village puts both situations in almost the same box? I want to believe you are rightfully married to your husband and everything in your life readjusts, priority-wise the moment you two married and the same goes for him. How can a married woman be screaming "my village" in this day and time to the point that she fights her husband over it?? And then you quarrel with him over it and he entertains your periodic quarrels?? At this point, it is best that the man returns you to your family, demands his bride price so that you can walk around the village and market square as you please.

This is what happens when some homes are chaos-free. One person will just use his/her hand to destory the peace therein just because they are idle and have no worries.

I won't be surprised to know that some soldiers have drank Hero lager beer. They didn't it offensive, but a man wears rising sun and they foolishly arrested him.

Chinwetalu Agu has an IQ higher than all members of Nigerian military and DSS. He just killed two birds with one stone.
You guys should stop this shameful post shifting. It is an act of cowardice in 4K. And Chinwetalu Agu, where I'm from, is considered a disgrace and a coward. He donned the full Biafran flag but lied that he was wearing the "rising sun". What happened to the green, black and red on the attire?

I do not approve of his arrest by the Nigerian Army or the DSS but if you are bold enough to don the Biafran flag, then you should be bold enough to own it with your full chest. You can't be walking the path of bravery when you are nothing but a coward.

Possibly not. There are many sellers from Computer Village who sell on here. It could be that one of them got an idea of the person involved and showed it to him or that Don Jazzy sef got involved since he was mentioned on the previous thread.

Nairaland is bigger than what most imagine it to be but the reality is that the OP would have been cheated for good if the first topic never made front page. It goes on to show you the level of dishonesty and fraud that runs around Computer Village and how our supposed law plays a huge role in this scams.

Bottom line: Avoid COMPUTER VILLAGE.

Can you all just check out the way the seller resolved the issue he had with his customer. Psalmz will rather flex muscle with his customer rather than looking for ways to resolve dispute.
Are they any different? No. The seller originally, flexed power at the Police Station albeit without attacking the victim. He must have been forced to have a rethink after it hit Nairaland's front page.

There is a reason fraudulent practices being perpetrated on Nairaland don't make front page, regardless of the sums involved. Psalmz can flex the muscles he thinks he has because some moderators unconsciously reinforced his actions. An ideal thing to do first is to have him reported on the scammers thread. I know Dominique is very active on that thread and Tabbaz has been doing an incredible job over the years. As far as Nairaland is concerned, it should be your second point of call after creating a thread to report what went down.

I have read the tales of the said "young man" and by God, you would have been cooling off either in a military barrack or a Force Headquarters if it were me. I do not approve of the trolling in any way but you have acted unfairly. The said young man asked to lose N30k out of N180k and return N150k to home in order to count his losses and move on but you claimed 'it doesn't work that way' and further set him up with a used device when it ought to be a new one.

I most times pray to get involved in a wrong business with people like you, not because I am itchy to flex powers, but because I love to see dishonest people go through twice the stress they put me through.

He shouldn't be patient because it is his money on the line, not yours. Unfortunately, you are the suspect. Perhaps you'd tell yourself to be patient if roles were reversed?

Anyone who patronises you or does business with you does so at their own risk. I don't see how a BRAND NEW PHONE can develop issues no matter how it was misused in a week. I don't see how.

You are not a honest person and your response to this whole charade suggests you are not a good person either.

The fight was obviously fixed. The boxing world is trying too hard to make contenders look like a big deal by making sure that AJ loses and then wins the return match. Unfortunately, boxing is becoming boring as there are no worthy fighters in the heavyweight division that could give AJ a run for his money. Other than Wilder and Fury, one can hardly mention a major contender. The promoters knows this and they just have to make Joshua lose, trigger his return match clause, win and generate more revenues for the promoters.

People like Ruiz and Usyk are just spices in the stew. Rile people up and then AJ pulls a "Creed Part 2" on them.

Boxing has always been like this, just that it is worse in this era.

NaijirianKing:
This simply isn't true. It is a myth that Fulani are only indigenous to the North, if you would have said Hausa, then I would agree. People often mix up Hausa and the Fulani, but both groups are very different despite having similar culture.

Fulani are spread across many regions and are as indigenous to those places just like the other groups they share the state with, it is rare to have a state where there is only one indigenous tribe. Although I will agree with you that Yoruba is the majority tribe in the SW, we have to note that there are significant numbers of Ijaw, Nupe, Fulani, and other groups that are also indigenes to that region.

Below is a map of indigenous Fulani settlements. As you can see, Oyo and Ogun have Fulani indigenes.

Any attempt to dislodge these communities will create problems that you are not ready for. Do not push the goat to the wall, allow for peace, allow for unity.
Fulani as an ethnic group is not indigenous to Nigeria's geography.

There is hell for unbelievers but it should not form the anchor of your evangelism. You have been called to plant the seed into the hearts of men while the Holy Spirit waters what you have planted. Fear mongering in the name of evangelism is absurd.
Foreign Affairs › Re: La Palma Eruption Enters 'New Explosive Phase'(Pics, Video) by Sanchez01(m): 7:37am On Sep 23, 2021
Blackmiserable:
How you choose to preach the gospel is not wrong, not at all. Sanchez thinks fear mongering is not right, but he is dead wrong. Even a leaf tossed around by the wind with the little inscription "Eternity" could bring about genuine conversion.

However, I want to give you a new perspective because it is more effective.

Humans are extremely selfish and self-centered especially for immediate gratification. I mean, except and unless a man sees his need for Christ, he would never come to Christ. I mean never. It's always about what he stands to gain in the present, not necessarily what he stands to lose in the afterlife.

I mean, it's evident. If you want people to do something, you have to make a promise for WHAT THEY NEED, make a promise to meet their wants. It's always about what they are going to gain, for as I quipped earlier, man is always about what he'd gain in the present and near future, not eternal gains because he is totally depraved and cannot understand or acknowledge the things of God.

Shout from now till eternity about Hell, people do not feel a present need to escape Hell. It's always about man's need.

So to get men, you appeal to his need and not by threat. Come, Christ would give you that wife, a loving, responsible and caring husband, a man that would love, cherish and help you. Come to Christ, that job is yours. Just come, come, come, just come. It's always about what he's going to gain for unless a man sees his need for something he's not going to get off his lane.

Once a man has seen a genuine need, he begins to think alright and before you know it, he is on his knees. Telling people about Hell is not as effective as appealing to their own interests and this principle applies to almost all facets of life.

Did I make sense?
No, you didn't make sense. Sorry. What he does on a daily on here does not qualify as evangelism if how Christ did it is weighed in comparison. The concept of evangelism is lost on many and they have subjected themselves to doing nothing but religious activities. Evangelism should be devoid of criticisms, you can't criticise those you are evangelising but you see some self righteous Christians do this; you can't use fear as a tool because the "Good News" which is another name for evangelism as seen in Acts 1:8 does not include fear. If you can't tell people how and unbelievers how incredible Christ's reckless love towards them, then it is best you don't do it at all.

The problem with some Christians in today's world is that they have sidelined the Holy Spirit in the process of evangelising and have forgotten they are supposed to just plant the seed while the Holy Spirit waters it in the heart. The only next time they are needed is to watch the seed(s) grow (follow up). But no, everyone wants to forcefully convert on the spot and won't mind beating criticisms into helpless people. If their 'victims' are lucky not to get criticised, then there is the pesty/flies approach of showing up in their faces until they get irritated and ward so called believers off like evil spirits.

There are reasons most people dread Christians with Bible when they are approached. The insensitivity, the compulsion, the lack of foresight among these so called Christians is too great that it should be talked about.

You are not called to fear mongering. Anything done in fear is temporal. You want your seeds to abide? Tell them how amazing God's love is, not the other way around.

You live in a 1.5 million Naira per annum apartment and you are still "thinking" of it when it is about 3 months away. At this point, you don't need anyone to tell you that you're living way above your means.

When it comes to rent, the idea of 'thinking' or worrying should not come in when renewal is close. If it happens, then there is a big problem.

If you are going to talk to adamant folks and cause them to turn from their ways, then make them understand what the love of Christ really means. That's because you never filled in your tax information within the given time. YouTubers across the world, were given until May 31, 2021 to provide their tax info with the condition that Google may be required to deduct up to 24% of your total earnings worldwide if it isn't provided.
