@Tutheworld Some Banks charge and some dont charge you for using the ATM. The question is 'how much?'. |
@Uzoo The problems you mentioned Nigeria has are as a result of corruption. NEPA(or whatever it is now called), NITEL and all the likes that were goverment run are a mess because of corruption. Our people are used to doing things through the back door. Corruption is the root of Nigeria's problems and that is what the world sees us as: CORRUPT! |
Corruption and unprofessionalism. Nigeria is also deemed unsafe and therefore a 'no-go area'. I have a friend who works for a global company in Australia, he tells me Nigeria is one of the countries they cannot travel to unless they resign from their jobs. |
@ jydeboy and the likes of him There are 'Men of God' and there are 'men who pretend to be of God'! There are 'miracles' and there is 'deceit'! I have experienced both in my life! My father joined a 'fake church' round about 1996. It took him 10 years to realise he was in the wrong place. The 'fake church' has juju as it's backbone. It was 10 years of slavery. The 'pastor' has been sending death threats to my family since my father left the 'fake church'. He does that to every member that leaves the 'fake church'. Most people who leave meet violent deaths within 4 months of leaving. Una no wan hear the whole story about that 'fake church' o! I have never met Pastor Adeboye, but while at Uni, I attended RCCG students fellowship. Those years at Uni opened my eyes to 'the power and might that is is the name of JESUS CHRIST. I experienced it first hand. I prayed and things happenned. I still pray and things still happen. I highly revere Pastor Adeboye! I have got proof of miracles in my life and in the lives of those around me! Can you prove that there have been no miracles in your life and the lives of those around you? |
Does your bank charge you when you withdraw money using an ATM? If yes? How much? |
Most of them are scams and you never get any returns. |
The impression I got from using GTB and Zenith in 2006 is that the staff are pompous! I don't see myself using their services now or in the future. |
I opened a UBA account late 2005 because of a huge UBA cheque I got, I only used the account four times and I think I left them 500NGN. They charged me for withdrawing from another branch other than the one I opened the account at. Their Bank Anthony branch at that time seemed to be operating offline the times I visited. At that time my only other account was with the then NATIONAL BANK and I withdrew money at any branch from wherever I was in the country at no extra cost. Banked with them for 4 years and they were fantanstic. UBA is a no go area, me thinks! |
I received money through chequepoint from late 2005 till march 2006. I would say it was great service. Don't know about now. |
This is totally ridiculous! I just see it as another way of lining the pockets of our already corrupt 'Nigerian Police'. Law and order is good but not when the supposed 'law enforcement agents' are UTTERLY CORRUPT! The police will use this opportunity to exploit a lot of motorists! |
@ contributors I am not carrying out a survey. I thought it's best to find out what people who have used/are using PHB services have experienced before opening an account with them. I am Interested in PHB'S 'Nigerians in Diaspora Account' but customer service is very important to me. Zenith was crap when I last tried to use them. National bank provided excellent service for the 4 years I banked with them but I don't know how they have been doing since they merged with WEMA. Can't even get the WEMA website up. Thanks for sharing your experience and opinion. It is really appreciated. |

Some people make a success of marrying someone they don't love. They learn to love them as time goes on. Some people cannot live without being in love - as in they actually thrive on it. During my final year at Uni, I considered sticking with this guy I didnt love. I had known him since I was 16, we were best of friends, I respected him so much, I looked up to him and he had the most important thing I wanted in a man- I could ask him any question on earth and he had an answer- Logical answers. The problem was he loved me but I didn't love him enough. When I thought things over, I concluded it wouldn't be fair on him. I couldn't do it to him. I had about 8 guys who would do anything to marry me then but I must admit that when I left Uni, I started feeling a little desperate but I thank God I didn't let that push me into hooking the next 'thing' that came along. Our society does frown on a woman remaining unmarried, but the bible does not make it compulsory to marry. @ the poster who said unmarried women don't have a say in the society: Have you ever heard the names ' CONDOLEEZA RICE' and 'MOTHER THERESA? @ the posters who said women are not complete without men: 'NUNS'? Whatever situation one finds oneself, just make the best of it. |
This is the funniest thread I have ever read on NL. @Oreofemi: I think you went about this wrongly. If you are really looking to meet someone(or more), there are a few dating sites you can place your profile on and place as many pictures as you want on them. The impression you created by placing more than 1 pic on this post is that you are desperate. I interprete is as being childish and maybe a little bit of letting youth and beauty get into your head. Take it easy sweetie! |
To those men who never knew women get turned on by what they see; The first time I set my eyes on my Hubby in 2006, He was wearing a this lovely well-cut dark suit, all white hair, looking immaculate and he was all gentlemanly. He had come to take me out to dinner. The first thing that came to my mind was ' I am so gonna bed this guy'! We got married february this year. I can't take my eyes off him when he is all dressed up and going to work every morning and I keep laughing at the thought of what goes on in the mind of all those girls working for him. My point is 'fully clothed or starkers, men can still turn women on'! |
Thanks for your info on Dubai O! I have been considering an Holiday out there with my Hubby for some time now(with an ulterior motive of buying jewellery)! |
Anyone have any good or bad experience with BankPHB? I would appreciate any information I can get on their services. Thanks. |

The Nigerian Government does not value the life of it's citizens. It does not care about the welfare of it's citizens. It is such a shame that we are cursed with the bad leadership we have been enduring for years. That is why we are treated like s**t home and abroad. I wonder what will happen to us if we had a natural disaster in Nigeria! I do look forward to the day when we will have leaders who will have the welfare of all Nigerians at heart and I do hope it happens in my time! |
@poster I tried a 'data entry' thing online some two years ago and I can tell you that it amounted to nothing. This people take money from you to start giving you this so called 'data entry jobs' and what they ask you to do is complicated, actually just a waste of time and not as simple as they make it look in thier adverts. Don't waste your money on 'online data entry jobs'. |
