U should have negated what he said but u didn't. D operation is supposed to be a rescue mission. Rescue missions are rescue missions not guerilla combat
1...as many people as those that have read his account and goes to town with it.
2..what goes on is what you saw on the video, that it was purely a guerilla war.(check the meaning of that and compare it to what you saw in the video)
3...The same tactics of shoot and hid that you saw.
4...Go back and read whatbi said about Hollywood for a better understanding

Who determines what goes on within a mission? Do you know the tactics the bandit's/terrorist deployed against the military? Some of you just sit back and think all these things are hollywood movies.

We still owe the society that duty of putting things straight. Do you know how many people have gone to town with his ignorant statement
Obinnau: Thank God that the persons kidnapped got saved by providence, ransom was paid. So they weren't saved by the Nigerian soldiers!
The soldiers were even more of a threat to the safety of those released.
I watched the video and I asked myself, is this the band we call Nigerian soldiers? They were so very uncoordinated, very clueless and I wouldn't even call that a gun battle! No professionalism or semblance of coordination. Do they even train these guys in combat warfare or are the big generals eating the money allocated for that too?
They are here already, they never see any good thing in others efforts, their own na to justdey read bad bad News about the country,if na negative news now you go begin dey clap. For your information there is clear cut difference between asymmetrical war and conventional war, there is no military that is specifically trained in guerilla tactics, what Nigeria army is fighting are guerilla. hope you are now more educated

No be for this country you raised that ₦1m wet you carry go give agent? Why can't you work hard here to make more? Na the thing wet i dey always tell people be this oo,you think naira is useless now,you think ₦1m can't last you that long, how do you feel now that you have lost that money?
Besides Canadian Settlement Visa no dey come in 2 months even it's Genuine, you have several waiting months,i get friend wet dey canada dey expect him decision, covid-19 no let them handle application the way dem supposed

Wickedfacts: I won't argue with you. Get a FG job and go sit down in Abeokuta. You hear?
Obviously you don't know how Civil service works, there are Parastatals who domiciled outside of Abuja and Lagos,no be everything dey dey Abuja, DPR is in Lagos,NPA in Lagos,CRIN in ìbàdàn,NIORT in Ibadan and several other federal jobs, there are even federal secretariat in ìbàdàn for your information,no be people dey head this agencies? You think all federal jobs are Federal secretariat and Abuja base. Una go dey talk like say na una know everything without a proper research If he want to stays in Abeokuta and have rest of mind that is okay by him,you think say na everybody dey like stressful life.
Wickedfacts: You don't know anything about Federal civil service, you are just typing out of emotions. No one will promote someone in Abuja over those in the state offices. Opportunities for secondment, training, travels and Co usually get snapped up by those in Abuja. Go ask anywhere.
I guess your dream is to live in an unpainted bungalow. Nothing wrong with that, just that many people want more than that in life.
All the aforementioned are Politics of work place, some people are in Abuja and couldn't get all those you mentioned,When you find yourself in a corporate environment private or public two options are open to you.
1..Play the politics with them to move your career forward, but also remember that when the table turn you will be consumed by the same politics.
2..Do your job and never affiliate yourself to any party within the environment, your dues and other extra might not come on time, but when it does come everyone will know you are patient for it.
so the choice is yours. What is wrong in living in an unpainted bungalow provided i own it? Na Abuja you go die put? you no go retire again? Na people like una dey retire without nothing on top say you wan build your first house for Ikoyi.
Wickedfacts: If it's the same parastatal, pick the one in Abuja. If you want growth, pick Abuja. If you want comfort and affordable lifestyle, pick Abeokuta.
Abuja is the headquarters of most Federal MDAs. So, if you're in the HQ, you have first hand access to opportunities, promotions and benefits before those in the state and regional offices.
However, if you want rest of mind where you leave home by 7.30 am and get to work by 7.45am, pick Abeokuta. You get to live a cool life, buy a plot in Kobape, Ogere extension, Obantoko, Alamala, or Obada oko and build an unpainted bungalow, drive a Camry and wait for retirement.
It's your choice.
If he knows what he's doing he can always get his promotion in Abeokuta, most of you overate jobs at the lagos or Abuja, like when you are in HQ you will be bla blah blah in 2yrs. What gives you the assurance that he will cope in Abuja? has he got ₦500k per annum to rent a fairly good room and parlor? what is wrong in living in an unpainted bungalow and driving camry in Abeokuta if that is what his salary can afford?
I live in Lagos and I will gladly leave Lagos for either of Ìbàdàn or Oshogbo if i can earn what i earn presently
daveyjay: Good day NLers, please I need your take on this. I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.
A girl decided to vie for admission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now
I offered a roof over her head.
The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed
I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy. Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.
She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook. I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!
She got angry and took some money and left
That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response. I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies
The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.
On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes... I made her understand that I am her benefactor. Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...
Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.
What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.
She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...
Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??!
Na you cause am now,you carry girl come house vacate bed for am come make her over comfortable even when the girl dey misbehave you no fit reset her brain. May be you dey nurse that ambition of chopping her when she don fully "mature" if not why accept such a behavior?
Why don't you send her to live your own girlfriend or a close female friend when she first came?
The babe don dey chop those wet big pass your level, that na the why wet she no dey respect you
Grace456: Help Me Before I Make The Greatest Mistake Pls
I'm a single mother in my early thirties, my daughter is just 2year old and the father is not ready to marry me or take any responsibility on her but still hiding me and his secret wife and won't let me go but I have decided to leave becos he's no adding any value to my life n my daughter's either.
Fast forward I met a guy online who claims he lives in the US and I discovered I like him since I've met him and now he said we should settle down and marry. I own a duplex in a choice area in Lagos, completed though still small loan I'm paying on it. I agreed to settle down with him but since I told him he can't stay in my house that he needs to get a house, he started acting funny.
The second one, I asked him to show me proof of ID or his work ID, for me to be sure he's who claimed he is, he changed it for me. I tried to let him know that I'm just trying to be careful, don't want to fall prey again but he won't listen to me. He stopped calling and when I call him, he will return my call after like 5hours.
Pls advise me, is it polite for a man to marry and come stay in a woman's house because he said he will soon travel back? This is someone I like to support to get another apartment somewhere else but I haven't told him that. He has really changed in days.
No insult pls...pls ignore rather than insult me pls.
Forget about him, he's only after material stuffs he can obtain from you,he has no true feelings. just junk the user before he damage you babe, bone am straight, lock up and move on

FaruqMadridCr7: Good evening nairalanders,I saw this post on frontpage yesterday httpss://www.nairaland.com/6500388/misconception-only-high-level-education and it really motivate me though I'm supposed to be in school by now but no money,so I've to hustle for myself.
I finished secondary school two years ago,and I did sales boy for 1 year and two months according to what he said hand skill, business and talent is the main thing to utilize in a country like Nigeria, now I'm currently learning graphics designing and printing because I also want to be skilled before going to school
In the post,he mentioned something that has got me thinking about it, which is starting a trade/business young.I've thought about it but never give it a chance,as I'm learning I also want side business with it and I don't know how to go it.
While working as a sales boy I was able to save #60,000 and I'm willing to put it on business I need an advice from you guys on which business is advisable to start with, I'll really appreciate your good advice.
Look around and provide what people need, even in your household what people around you normal go far to get will be a good start.
Pure water in bags at a strategic point is a good business, people drink water every second and there is no alternative to that.
Drinks in pet bottles is also a moving business,If you are in Lagos, look for a very good location around a major busstop/traffic prone area's buy Gala and Plantain chips in bags and carton's distributes to those who sell in traffic, wait till the end of business Time and collect your money from them.
Don't mind those who says ₦60k is nothing,at 19 you can do much more better bro.

FuckEveryday: The person advising you to choose a 60k job in Ibadan over a 100k job in Lagos, doesn't like you @ all.
whenever you come to Lagos, try staying on the island alone, it'll interest you to know most graduates stay @ security houses and alot of "packaged uncompleted buildings" due to numerous real estate projects.
but when you find one, don't think that's all, you still have to work hard, but why Im telling you to come to the island to work hard is simple...
Destiny helpers don't go round looking for you, you have to position yourself where they'll easily find you and you'll have options too. don't let your pastor deceive you.
it worked for me, it'll definitely work for you too..cheers
modified: I see some clowns mentioning me saying rubbish..smh
one said rich people don't help on the island you think someone would see you on the streets of Lagos, pick u in his /her car and change Ur life this Life isn't ROK TV bruv...the Moto I dey drive now, someone on this forum bought it for me, yes, on this same Nairaland. If I wasn't staying/squating on the island then, I'm 100% sure I would hv missed the opportunity.
Life doesn't start and end on the island part of Lagos, but I can authoritatively tell you that it gives you a better chance or Head start of you'll prefer to call it that.
To the other guy that said everyone on d island doesn't have legit money, I have nothing to say to you..have a good life and may God open your eyes.
How about people who found favor in Ìlọrin, Abeokuta and other remote area's? Dey there dey deceive yourself, there are people who live outside lagos and live better than you.

If you are so good, game will find you in your village, you can them relocate to Lagos. My Guy,no deceive yahself,no amount of Talent you wan bring lagos wet you no go find people wet get 20x of that
CallMeDrino: Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has challenged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State over the 12am to 4am curfew imposed by the Federal Government to curb the spread of COVID-19, Igbere TV reports.
The mother of two expressed her displeasure at the discomfort caused by the curfew in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, arguing that the restriction on movement was negatively affecting businesses and families.
She tagged Governor Sanwo-Olu and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, asking them to address the issue urgently.
The 43-year-old added that policemen use the continued curfew as an opportunity to extort people.
Iyabo Ojo in November alleged that the government was after her life because of her participation in the #EndSARS protest against police brutality.
She said she woke up to a message from a friend that her name was being mentioned in government circles.
That came days after she publicly vowed never to support any politician in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) again.
Jerryherd: So if he had agreed to pay bribe NCAA would have released a chopper not airworthy to the Pastor
How sure are you that bribe was demanded? What if those in charge of logistics and protocol at Redeem only said that to save face and their job? No one is too sure of what transpired here. But one fact is sacrosanct, his chopper was due for another round of maintenance. That bribe was demanded or not is not clear to anyone
Perfectman91: My people, foodstuffs prices are becoming something else on a daily basis..the increment is mostly over 50 percent increase in some cases and I wonder how average Nigerians are managing. Something has to be done has this is getting out of hand.
Meanwhile some persons are already planning for 2023 when there's absolutely no positively in their current government. What is a way out of this or is just me feeling the heat?
Blame the middle Men who bought from the farmers, blame the police who made transporters pay more bribe, blame the greedy transporters who exploiting the situation,Blame the local Agricultural Quarantine post by the highway who make sure the collect their own bribe, blame the greedy trader's who want 1000% profit.
Government has no regulations over food prices, plant the little you can in your garden, even if it's ordinary pepper
