My second point corroborates the instances you just narrated. She just can't face you eyeball to eyeball. She feels belittled before you. Remain kind to them but do that from afar and be watchful too because such resentment can lead to jealousy.

I moved into a new neighbourhood and i stay alone. Luckily I came across my childhood friend one fateful day on my way to fill up my cooking gas.

we exchanged contact, I found out we live closed to each other. she now has 6kids with her husband, the eldest child being 13yrs old.

I was cooking rice, the kids came. I dished for them and I asked the daughter why she refused to come see me the day I sent for her. she told me it was her mother who told her not to come.

I was shocked ! if her mother didn't want me to send her on a errand she could have told me. I felt like I was disturbing her kids so I blocked her number and stop sending the kids message to run for me.

now she has been calling me but I've refused to answer her calls. am I wrong in wanting to end the friendship?

Get the picture right! Two things are likely involved here.

1. She is not too comfortable with you in her place because she felt it is not good enough, reason why she kept saying those things. You could have told her you understand how things are not really easy right now and that as for her house, you understand that children can be so playful and in the process scattering things but don't use the word "messy" like you did here. This will help her relaxed, free her mind and hence making her comfortable having you around.

2. As for the daughter not coming to you when you requested, if truely she is the one who stopped her, then she is feeling as though it is because you are being of help to them, that is why you want to start using her children the way you seem fit. But then, she should have understand the fact, that is how life works. As the saying goes, iron sharpens iron...

Just go low. Helping some people resents them because it reminds them that they are needy and that the other person is better than them.

So, genuinely repent of all the negative things you have done to her. Call her and have a heart to heart discussion with her, tell her you have changed and that you are sorry for all you have done to her and that she should please genuinely forgive you and let go of all her grudges towards you. It's 2.47 am here but I can't sleep, I hardly sleep these days.My whole world is crumbling.
I have been a regular guest here for awhile now but had to register this morning, I need somewhere to pour out my heart, somewhere to dump my frustrations.
I came from a good, not so rich home but my parents were so hardworking.I had a good moral upbringing, went to tertiary institution and graduated with good grades.
While in school, I never had a boy friend though I had a lot of "chykers", never went clubbing, didn't socialize much.
Few months to the end of my NYSC, I met my husband. We got talking and boom, I fell in love with him. He is my ideal man....he doesn't drink nor smoke, gentle and soft spoken.
He wasn't earning much but it didn't bother me. I believe in working hard and growing with my man.
Now my regrets...
* The "angel" I married has refused to get a job after losing the last one during COVID 19. He said he can never work in a private company again. His target is multinationals. I encouraged him to pick up a job with private company while hoping for a bigger fish at least to support in taking care of the needs at home but he said no. I'm left with taking care of our 3 kids, feeding, school fees and virtually every need at home. All he does is press phone, gamble and sleep.
Now our rent is due, no money.
I married as a virgin, married for love and not money, work my ass off, doing so many side hustle to shoulder the expenses at home. I'm tired. I regret all these. When I see my "unserious" classmates on social media and sometimes offline, I weep. See them living large. I thought all the sacrifices I made way back will pay off now.
I have made up my mind that if he doesn't fix the rent, I will move back to my parent's house.

Hand over the management of your finances to your wife. Let all your financial inflows go into a particular bank account of yours which she will be in charge of withdrawal and transfer from it.

She should also handle purchases and major financial outflows in your businesses.

All you should directly handle should be little money for your personal and business logistics.
