PoliticsRe: #RevolutionNow: Nigerians React To Sowore Arrest, #FreeSowore Trends On Twitter by teepain: 11:39am On Aug 03, 2019
Stillthebest:
Nigerians re now so absorbed on internet and social media like we are the first one to experience the evolution of the internet.

Real revolution won't start from Twitter. Those people are never serious. Real revolutions will start with a few peoples match prompting others to follow. Just like Sudan where only 5 people started without online sensitivities then became 50, to 500, to 50000 and more.

Two days time if sowore is yet to be released Twitter warriors would have started trending with another thing.

All these our leaders know.. they always know that we are not ready for the fight. Buhari didn't call us lazy youths because we lazy about but because he knew we can never fight for our rights.

And that we aid and abett the leaders to steal.. followers are the real problems in NIGERIA leaders are only getting into the sordid situation because we stand for everything.

A bad follower can never make a good leader. Most followers who think they are Saint today just give them the opportunity watch them become worst...
Truer words have never been said.

It may not be hypothetically but it actually is in this age and time.

Degree gives you access to some things that ordinary SSCE would never give you access to. You get to work in formal environment and know how to manage people and how they think not to talk of the economics of managing an economy’s finance. The process of getting degree its self has a learning curve that is not obtainable anywhere.

The probability of a non degree or its equivalent holder performing far better than a degree holder is like zero.

Basically the intricacies and mental comprehension of a degree holder can never be compared to that of a school cert. holder. There is limit to the kind of exposure a school cert holder can have.
Well, your submissions above should hold true but some Nigerian graduates are actually a disgrace to the institutions that graduated them.

I have seen some school cert holders trounce some degree holders in their own fields.

Like all things in Nigeria, the tertiary educational system is bastardized. It would shock you to know that some of them cannot even string together a sentence in English which is the official medium of instruction.

Apart from joke, it is laughable. in a refined country it can't happen. i know people will be asking what about Zleneski of Ukraine and Weah of Liberia. this people are not of same level with Ademola Adeleke, they are intellectually sound unlike that dancer.
The comparison with George Weah is not even applicable because he went for further education after losing the presidential election to Ellen Sirleaf on his first attempt.

Before he became Liberian President, George Weah had bagged both First and Master's Degrees.

Who should harness their skills? They are entrepreneurs, they are the ones to channel their skills properly. Besides, I do not see any skills in faking other brands just by coloring ethanol and packaging same.

These are criminals and their likes should never be encouraged. It would shock you how much money they have made while "selling" kidney and liver diseases to people.

they are not lying, the idiotic pig pastor actually has sex with more than 30 of them, but it was not rape
Well, if you admitted that he had sex with all 30 of them you can't say he didn't commit rape because in Bisola's case she was 17 hence she was below age of consent (18). As the law stands, anyone who sleeps with anybody below 18 is committing statutory RAPE.

I think that Nigerians have a very limited understanding of what constitutes rape and that is because the law enforcers and our courts are not treating this scourge with the attention it deserves.

Our problem in Nigeria is very complex
Followership is a bigger problem than leadership in Nigeria, in my opinion.

I feel sorry for this country when I read such comments where the lady being the victim is being vilified.

Most of the cretins making jokes out of this lady's ordeal are closet rapists.

I will continue to say that arresting these guys cannot fix the problems,Yahoo business gained more ascendancy and became more rampant because youth unemployment is alarming that is not to make an excuse for them but honestly Nigerian worsening economy is one of the contributory factors.FG can just gather those that have been arrested so far and train them in positive ventures that are ICT-related and also patronize their services or products as the case may be.This is one out of a thousand ways to refocus or redirect their minds from fraudulent acts.
If FG were to gather the yahoo yahoo boys and retrain them, what should be done with armed robbers, kidnappers and the rest. "Country hard" is not an excuse for criminality. Get rich quick syndrome is the bane of our society.

Sadly, you may not need proof to know that Nigerians committed those crimes.

We make it easy for people of other nations to stereotype us because even the crimes we commit here and glorify on the altar of "country hard" no be for here.

As Nigerians we must consciously shun crimes and condemn such whenever they occur so that we can earn our respect in the global village.

linearity:
If you look at percentages of Nigerian non immigrant visitors in 2015, 2016, 2017; you will find that the number keep increasing, hence the corresponding increase in denials.

When prior non immigrant visitors refuse to honor their obligations and return back to Nigeria, the embassy not only tracks it and take notice; they also use those feedbacks to re-evaluate their visa process...e.g. the story or ‘packaging’ trend that led to a visa issuance in 2017 but have high non-return rate, will make the embassy to start questioning the intentions of those with the same ‘packaging’ who they are interviewing in 2018.
Very sensible post. I wonder why this post doesn't have some shares and likes.

I couldn't have said it better. Jerry boy as he was fondly called by Abacha should have advised Abacha back then. Abacha is not here to defend himself anymore so expect more people to dissociate themselves from the stupidity.

In fairness to Abacha though, it should be said that MKO didn't die in his custody. MKO's death would forever remain a blight on Abdusalaam's career.

GEJ and PMB should be commended or chastised for their actions or inactions. You can assist in getting someone employed but you can't help him/her to do the work for which he/she is employed.

Nigeria Runs a non economically feasible Civil Service

*Ministry of Works in all states and FG hires Engineers and other workforce to over bloat its payroll yet Issue out all construction works to Chinese Engineering and Construction company

*We have Ministry of water resources with thousands of staffs across the federation, yet every body buys portable water or construct their own boreholes while the ministry workers goes to secteraite to gossip and play around.

*NNPC and DPR highers workers periodical, and has one of the highest salary and allowance of any cadre of workers yet they contract supply of petroleum products, they contract refinery and even contracts mining of crude

*We have schools that cant even justify their annual budget by executing a research project or at least producing Innovative Graduates
You have captured the problem(s) aptly. When the talk about the minimum wage came up.sometimes ago, I asked a friend how it would be funded.

Majority of the Nigerian workers are not productive in the true sense of it.

I am compelled to contribute my token because of the anguish I feel you are going through.

That said, you need to be specific as to what you want to achieve by involving law enforcement officers.

1. If you want to just punish the guy for his indiscretion then it is okay the rest of this post may not be necessary.

2. If your sole aim is to recover your money then you need to find out if this guy has assets that law enforcers can confiscate if need be; landed properties or other valuables. Additionally, can you help locate the guy whenever he is needed?

P.S
Are you guys from the same tribe? SFU can help you with this recovery but that demand is outrageous.

The value involved may not inspire the FCIID operatives as they usually go after the bigger stuffs.

Where are you located right now, Lagos or any other state? If you provide these details, you might get further assistance on this platform. Cheers.
