MissKerebete: u said my mind This taxi drivers should be overcautious, why pick up two men at that time of the hour. Because they believe that uber and taxify have detailed records of all riders like debit card details, also uber and taxify can easily trace the details of the person who requests a ride, if it is not a stolen phone. |
Politics › Re: 2019: Sowore Promises N100,000 Minimum Wage by TheAlchemist: 8:27am On Mar 20, 2018 |
The issue is that economics is dynamic and flexible enough to achieve various objectives. If the statement by Sowore of increasing minimum wage to 100k, is true so what, has he stated he will leave the tax base the same, or has he also stated he would not implement full deregulation of the downstream sector, or should government keep on subsiding Petrol, will NEPA tariff remain the same or should we continue subsiding that also? We say the airlines are dying because of low patronage, is it the present minimum wage that will encourage people to choose air transport over land as the safest means of traveling. There are so many services that Nigerians are enjoying that they are not paying for! The inflationary aspects can be properly managed, never limit the capacity of brilliant minds to deliver results against all odds. |

Between a Digital leader and an Analog leader... Sowore has my vote! Let all these old men who are no longer in touch with the dizzying pace of technological advancement around the world, should go and take a deserve rest. Nigeria can no longer continue to operate on analog gear. Imagine the tears of joy flowing freely from Mo Ibrahim if Sowore is eventually sworn in as the president of Nigeria. |

Sard: I used to have this belief until recent. I was/am shortsighted, and thus, couldn't see from far but wasn't using glasses because I believed it would make my sight deteriorate. Besides, most young people using glasses often look like nerds. I started using glasses a few months ago and it was such a great decision. People should be educated on this point of yours. . i am still struggling with the issue of using glasses, although i have one prescribed by the optician. |

tomayira: Niyi is also a director in Caverton helicopter (a company owned by his father) where nationals (Nigerians) are treated like slaves, while experts (foreigners) are lords. Caverton has been using two helicopters (Bell 412) for its private operations. The helicopters actually belongs to Lagos state government but proceeds goes to someones private account courtesy of Caverton Helicopters Limited. The Makanjuola`s by virtue of its closeness to Bola Ahmed Tinubu control the economy of Lagos. The EFCC should look into the hiring of helicopters (VVIP Flights) between PATIENCE JONATHAN / NNPC / CAVERTON HELICOPTERS i tell you people, its a canker-worm! Can corruption fight corruption. |

Ojukwu never truly loved the Igbo Nation, He only loved himself, all his actions were motivated by selfishness, i must be the president of a Nation at all cost... |

uuzba: - I actually pity this generation. I don't think it is your fault. In our time, there was no smart phone and no computer. There was nothing to distract us. No social media, no phone. Just only you and yourself. No TV sef. At least till 5pm when NTA would start with Voltron. After that, nothing interesting to watch again.
We could read, 4, 5, 6hrs without distractions. I can bet you are the type that checks his phone every 10mins. Always buying credit, always replying WhatsApp.
What you need is to ditch the phone and face the book you are reading. I know it is not easy. But start now before that phone overpowers you and becomes your master. Spending too much time reading on the phone or computer will gradually lead to early deterioration in eyesight. |

The distress cry of the children should have brought out the man in the security officer... i guess he did not want to die a hero or he probably forgot some of the training he received on how to engage an armed man with AR. I want to believe the officer would have in the past received training on how best to combat some one carrying an Ak 47 or similar, training such as likely position of the shooter, constant rolling on the floor to avoid flying bullets, i am not a security expert, but i believe they would have conducted such drills for such scenarios. The security officer still had a pistol he had a fighting chance to reduce the number of casualties. If the kids were his own children would he have stayed in hiding? |
