cococandy: yet you people keep lining up for visas
hahahahhaa , I hope you know there are Nigerians that live better than most of your so called US based Nigerians. Nigerians that can decide to travel to any part of the world when they feel the need to. Not everyone wants to line up for visas to live as second class citizens when they already live a good life here. Just get that wrong notion out your head. Cheers
Arsenate: You keep saying this for years now, why don't you just leave the forum because apparently we aren't going to just believe women because they are women and lick their assses as they do over there in the gynocentric US where women can just wake up in the morning and say "hey I wanna screw my husband's life up" and voila she achieves that with a call. Here we see women as the humans they are, capable of heinous crimes. Why don't you just leave?
Toks2008: Until we hear his side of the story we just might be able to have a clue of the situation but one thing I know is that no sane man will do what he did if he has a loving wife.
At the boldfaced, nothing but the undiluted truth.
TemiBami2020: Pls help me people. My world is collapsing. It's a marriage of 10years and blessed with 3kids (2 boys and a girl). Like every other marriages, we've had our own shares of ups and downs. No marriage is perfect.
Last month i went to work. By the time I came back the children were no where to be found, including my husband. Initially, I thought they went out or something. Around 11pm I got worried and called my brother in-law who is a police to track my husband numbers
He contacted other family members and he found out my husband left for UK with our children forever.
I don't know what to do. I'm running mad. Pls is there any authority I can contact in the UK? Or can I go to the UK/ British Commission in Nigeria to lay a formal complaint? Is there any NGO I can contact?
Modified For those saying I'm a bad wife, I'm not. I've been very supportive in a every way a wife can be. I've lived in both physical and verbal abusive marriage within the last 10years of my life. He's a violent man, adulterous, alcoholic and a fervent smoker. He gets drunk and get home and beat me up Infront of the children unprovoked. I have evidences and witnesses
I often threaten him I would take my children and go away cause I can't watch and allow them to grow in such a toxic home.
People just wake up and tell funny stories and expect us to take them serious. For those of us that lived a good part of our adult lives overseas this your story makes no sense. Apologies if I sound insulting but your story just doesn't add up.
You say you are legally married to your husband, then it's almost impossible for him to get visas for himself and the kids without providing your death certificate or something to show you are no more in the picture. Unless you are telling us he forged the travel documents for the visas, in which case you have legal grounds. But anyway your story doesn't add up. Apologies for being too blunt.
Perfectsouth: This man just used my masterplan.. I need to device other means to go about mine without her even having a say at all.
Shares of ups and down my left yansh.. Only God knows the hell that man has been through, now he is free... Smart man, he would have been planning this for a while and believe while he was planning this, he will be in his best behavior and even be the best husband to his wife just to make his plans a success
Your comments just made my day. I needed this laugh. Compliments of the season bro
That's how people start marriages with huge debts just because they want an expensive wedding.
You will be shocked to see that these types of simple weddings will stand the test of time unlike those societal weddings that costs millions but they eventually end up in divorce.
The motto here is this: no go do pass yourself because you want to impress people that could care less about you. Nuff said
jacoik: good morning nairalanders. I was in my house yesterday afternoon and a Knock came on my door and when I opened I saw four unknown hefthy men and one amongst them I know with an 11 years old small girl. the known one amongst them told me that this girl is from Imo state and Orlu to be preside. when I asked her village, she called my village and or market as well, that their house is close to the market. when I asked her why the cane mark on her body she said she was washing clothes that morning and her madam kid of 6yrs came Rio where is was washing the cloths and poor water on her and she went and report to get madam, the madam took came and flogged her and brought out put her in okada and gave the okada man 150 to and throw her away. when I heard her story, I asked her about her parent she said their are in the village. immediate I took my phone and ring my mum and as God may have it, my mum was market that yesterday and I asked mummy do you know so so and so surname around that area she said yes she has being hearing it, I now told her what is happening here now in Lagos and she should make inquiry about the family. lo and behold the very first person my mum asked was the girl's father. the man now directed my mum the family and immediate my mum left for the family the man follow her and when she got they she was surprised seeing the same man she asked for direction in the market to be the father of chikamso that is missing in Lagos. when I ring my mum back, she handed the phone to the man and when I asked of her first daughter, he couldn't give me a seasonable answer( that is he don't know where the daughter is and don't even know who she is with in Lagos) I now blast the man and called her all sorts of names, after that she handed the phone to the wife and it was the wife who gave me the number woman she is with in Lagos here. when I rang the woman and asked her about the girl, she told me her own side of the story. I told her okay come to isashi police station now that the girl is there, she said okay she is coming.(me and those men now took her to the station) when the woman came, the IPO interrogate and in the midst of the interrogation police where insulting the woman as well. they asked her if the girl is going to school, she said she put her in a good private school her own kids as well go, police now asked the small girl if she goes to school since August she came to Lagos, she said since she came she has not been to school that the aunt is lying. police now details two police woman to follow the woman home and bring her school bag. when they left, I now speak my language to the girl and told her to say the truth or self they will put her in the cell, that was when she opened up that her aunt(madam) didn't throw her away that she ran away after her aunt flogged her for lying the previous day and she has gone to school twice since September. when the aunt and police woman came it was discovered that the girl has been going to school everyday and base on the pictures the woman took with the kids, the small girl is living well because if one check the pick she took her in August when she came and now, it shows that the woman is treating her like her own kids. lo and behold and they call the mother from village, the woman started crying that before she came to Lagos that the small girl has exhibited that character and they have gone to some spiritual house and it was told that her problem is from water that the family was looking for money to do the marine settlement before she was taken to Lagos. police now to her to take her back to her parent. moral of this is that parents should be responsible for their offspring and parents as well she be careful of people they go home to pick as house help. mod please help parents puch to front-page
With all due respect, your writing skills is atrocious to say the least. No punctuation marks, no paragraphs, one cannot even tell when a sentence ends or another one begins. Terrible writing. Most of us won't even bother reading this trashy write-up.
Don't bother replying with insults because that too would not be read as well. Damn my eyes are in pains right now.
Nigerian politicians are a bunch of shameless people. Scratch that, most Nigerians are a bunch of shameless people. Corruption has eaten so deep into the psych of the average Nigerian that they will perform exactly the same way once they get elected into those political positions.
Celebrities chase clout by announcing giveaways online to get more followers and mock their rivals.
Real dudes make no announcements and visit orphanage homes and prisons where they make their giveaways ( in cash, foodstuffs, clothing etc) unannounced. Those are the real dudes that get my respect. And before anyone comes here saying I should start first, I don't need to announce to anyone if I do that or not. No clout chasing.
I hate physical violence and have never beaten someone physically before because I am a calm person, but you see this dude? That's someone I would love to lay my hands on.
The family unit and family values we all knew while growing up is gradually fading away. Now people don't see this issue of being a baby daddy or baby mama as a shame anymore.
liver123: Please pardon my grammatical blunders. I have stayed in abuja since 2018 after my service and I have done some petty work work as a civil engineering graduate which doesn't measure up for survival and up till date I have not gotten a decent job.
This year has been very tough for me as I struggle to even feed. My rent in abuja will expire February and I don't have a job.
Now am in lokoja to visit my elder brother for xmass and he is in support that I should stay back in lokoja since I don't have a job in abuja and my rent will soon expire. Am totally confused now on whether to stay back or go back to abuja as this lokoja town is too dry and I don't even know how I can get a job here.
Sit your ass back in Lokoja bro. At least you have accommodation there, instead of ending up a destitute in Abuja.
Let me tell you a story - I know people that travel from Lokoja to Abuja daily for their daily bread, true story because these were some people I was supervising sometime back while working on a project in Abuja. Yes it happens. You can continue your job search from Lokoja. It's not that far from Abuja.
OfficialAwol: Lol. But you can tell me there's anything wrong with my dressing. I don't mind learning.
I was just pulling your legs bro. You look good. The dressing is unique. Something a Chief will wear. But it looks good. No worries bro. Compliments of the season
Three classmates of mine from secondary school just got ordained Catholic deacons by the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Michael Nnachi Okoro, on the 21st of December, 2020.
They are:- Rev. Philip Afamefuna Uguru Rev. Jude Onwe Rev. Stanley Nwigum.
Join me congratulate them and keep tap as I bring you their priestly ordination when it happens.
So happy I have enough holy men to pray to God for my many sins
At the boldfaced, one of your many sins is your style of dressing. I hope the holy men can say enough prayers to give you a sense of style
gypsey: Why should he lift 10 people with his money? Is it his reponsibility to lift people financially? People should lift themselves up financially, It is their own fault they are poor.
I really hate this stupid mindset of the average Nigerian. Wanting to tell me how to spend my money. I work hard for my money and I have every right to spoil myself and my immediate family only.
Terrible poverty mindset. I give up on so many of them, with their warped thinking. Nonsense.
Sebastine1994: When half of my neighbors have travelled, I am now left alone in the compound. every year it is only me who remains back, I am ashamed. I can't go home. I offended my family so much.
I was deported from South Africa for drug trafficking, my father spent all his life saving to send me abroad, I went there to do drugs,
Now I have my freedom, but my heart remains in chain, seeing my family struggling financially because of me and the failed investment on me. I am depressed because of this.
I can't call them, I don't know what to do. I may take my life if the emotional torture becomes much.
Nairaland has been a blessing to lots of people over the years. We can intercede on your behalf if it comes to that. If you allow I can call them. Send me an email through my nairaland email. Do you have transport fare to go see them? You have to make peace with your family and move on in life. Send me an email. Cheers.

At the boldfaced, you need to break free from those chains. The past is past. You can never move forward in life if you continue living in the past.
Go home. They are your family. Yes you wronged them but they will forgive you. That's the only way you can move forward in life.
Get out of this dark place you are now. You are depressed and thinking of suicide. Dude be a man, man up and face your demons head on. Go home and beg for forgiveness and you will see that instant relief.
Teenaira: I think we should all remember that the world is a place of competition even though we are pretentious of this notion. A prosperous Nigeria will have it's advantages and disadvantages to the imperial British. My brother, they are better prepared to take advantage of us for their betterment. I am inclined to blame our leaders all the way but I am most time inudiated with the notion that you can only give what you have. That is what is lacking at independence, we are challenged to give what we never had. Then the euphoria of independence and strong conviction of super achievement without the 'what and how' was our greatest undoing, which nailed then and even now the prospect for failure. I am sorry to be part of the failed generation and even now the future of the country is more gloomy and then almost everybody could see danger ahead and our best bet for now is to run and move as fast as possible out of the country because the rouge's who are the immediate beneficiary of our independence are indeed still in control and may not release the stronghold until a complete nockout. God bless Nigeria.
My brother we all have to play our part to restore the lost glory of this country. If we all run away is that a good sign for our kids and the generations unborn? I lived a good part of my life overseas and did my Master's degree there as well. I was one of the fortunate ones to come back to a job waiting for him.
I understand your pains but that mindset is not beneficial for this nation. Cheers.
anigbajumo: Take away his goals, you’re left with his assists. Take away his assists, you’re left with his dribbles. Take away his dribbles, and you’re left with his audacious key passes.. And most of the time, you get all of it together in the span of 90 minutes. One man, Lionel Messi. Undoubtedly The Greatest Of All Time
This your statement is just pure gold. I am happy we still have people that write this way in this forum. Respect bro
I made a statement some months back that we should all count ourselves lucky to have lived in an era where we saw Messi and Christiano Ronaldo play the beautiful game of soccer. These 2 dudes are GOATS in my book.
Sadly old age is catching up with them now. We might never see such players ever again. Damn
Tafewa Balewa was one of the most read ( highly intelligent and went to the best educational institutions overseas) Nigerian president we ever had, with the best command of the English language. When I watch some YouTube videos when he gave speeches I almost wept with pride and at the same time wept at our present state having these present day illiterate leaders in a country of highly read intellectuals.
EVILFOREST: Price is Ok. Roughly about $5000 USD Just that it will be too expensive for Nigerians, since Naija is the WORLD'S POVERTY CAPITAL.
My thoughts exactly. The specs are fantastic and there are Nigerians that can afford it. I got myself a 4k TV just for my PS5 as a personal present for myself for surviving 2020. It's far better to spend on yourself or your immediate family than some worthless social media crazed cheating two timing female out there.
That's exactly how it starts. There's absolutely nothing sexy about carrying excess weight. Imagine adding 10kg of fat when she has no plans to be a professional female weight lifter or wrestler.
Anyone that has a contrary opinion can argue with their keyboard. Nonsense
