NoMoney: I see the share price getting to N3 or (N12 post construction) before the rights issue.
C&I Leasing is a company valued at N2.5 billion at the moment on track to make N1b full year PAT. How low can it really go? It has the fundamentals to more than support the current share price. The management seems to be preparing the company for the second stage of its growth trajectory given its asset base and deal pipeline. You have so much confidence in the result. What is the track record of this company to deliver on what they promise? This is like another OandO in the making! |

OakPearl: That may be too harsh on the firm though. I didnt lift a finger wen the tip was given. But short termers made their profit which is good for them. However, there is much more to picking long term performers. Harsh Ok oooooo. Same was said about OandO! Irrespective of how good 'numbers' appear, always be wary of companies that you cannot 'trust' their board or management. I mean what confidence do you put on the numbers to start with. And FYI, I hold C&I leasing because that's the only thing that will make me 'study' the company. Anyway, people are paying tuition fee! |

Not sure the noise about C&I Leasing. Doubt new 'numbers' that came out to warrant change of opinion.
The share reconstruction is not really new. It was always on the table.
Now, many companies will 'pump up' their prices because of plan public offers. People need to shine their eyes.
Money is made when you sell, so when buying consider what will happen when you plan to sell. Someone just gave example of Nigeria German Chemicals!
People need to be careful and not get carried away with penny stocks which are looking good but have very POOR corporate governance, Companies that dont release results as at when due. |

currentprice: CCNN is a good stock selling @ good discount based on Q3 but at today price N9.70 while Dangote which is more selling at super discount selling at today price of N9.40 with moderate liquidity. which one do u expect investor to jump in.
for cileasing apart from selling at super discount. it very likely this company is in position to pay her best dividend so far by year end. their FREE CASH is high as at Q3. yes, am aware they plan to raise fund in future They have FREE CASH yet they plan to raise funds! They plan to raise fund YET they want to pay dividend. Nigeria will hail thee Just make sure you exit before the Fund Raising. After the fund raising, expect it to go straight back to the parking lot. BTW, Consolidated Hallmark is also doing a right offer |

emmanuelewumi: We should learn to do our due diligence, while doing the DD we should avoid "analysis paralysis".
Analysis paralysis, will prevent us from taking action because of what we know, think we know, or think we should know.
Wisdom in the stock market is the ability to strike a balance between doing due diligence, speculation, investing and stock analysis paralysis. Important things is to make decisions with eyes wide open. Nothing wrong in even making a 'wrong' decision On the LONG run, everyone will make money even from dead stocks |

nio68: Thanks for this.. significantly changed my viewpoint... would likely consider this for my long term portfolio Segun Adeniyi is just making a sales pitch with little substance. No name of the OEM etc. Nothing against Caverton. I however hope that people understand the business model and the competition. Caverton indeed has taken a number of contracts from Bristow. Of course, we know how contracts are done in Nigeria especially when it involves NNPC/NAPIMS. Caverton does have competitors including local competitors. Aero basically own the NNPC contract. There is a new one NESTAV a subsidiary of Nestoil which will compete fiercely with Caverton. So if you are buying Caverton, in addition to numbers, use Porter's Five Forces to analyse the industry. |

nio68: Diamond's impairment charge for 2016 audited was 59 billion, impairment charge Q3 2017 35 billion .. isn't it clear their risk management is very poor...the divestment income would be used to plug these holes, may even end up been lost again...
a leaking bucket would not be filled by continuously pouring water into it , the leakage needs to be repaired ... If you buy a bank, the first thing you look at is their management of risk! Wetin I know |

When the bulls are around, everyone is an 'expert'.
I only hope people will adjust their investment strategy to suit their risk appetite! The capital market is not for everybody if you don't want to have heart attack.
For those buying illiquid stocks, note that 'money' is made when you 'sell' or when dividends are paid. You may end up with 'paper' profit when you try to SELL and your broker keep telling you no buyer.
For those eyeing stocks planning public offer/rights issue, thread carefully! Don't be shocked if they are 'pumping' the price up because of the planned offer.
For those crunching numbers, it is a good thing. Note however that there are FACTS BEHIND THE FIGURES. After crunching the numbers, check the FACTS BEHIND THE FIGURES and do a reasonableness test. Remember when Nigeria was supposedly consuming huge litres of petrol during the subsidy era. All the figures indicates huge consumption. But a quick check of the number of vehicles (plus generators) multiply by the average daily consumption shows that the figures cannot be RIGHT.
And before you buy any stock, check the management team and the board of directors. If they are dominated by LAWYERS, you better flee! If they are filled with people of questionable characters, RUN.
As you are buying, make sure you have an exit strategy also.
Happy investing! |

Godisfaithful: I just hope this result is not cooked. Anyway, let's enjoy while its last. Nigeria companies with voodoo financial reporting
Posting companies result on weekend dey get "K-Leg" sometimes lol (Joking) The result is NOT cooked BUT it is helped by the N3.75Bn gain from sale of the Noddles segment. The Flour Business is a very competitive business with Flour Mills as the market leader (I think). You can ride the wave but for the Long term, I will be careful. Dangote has not shown that he can excel in a competitive environment. |

igboboy3: Still regret some emotional decisions I've made with stocktrading.
Jumping two feet first into Julius Berger, just because I believed Fashola and Buhari had promised massive road infrastructure. After two years and over 30% loss, I only recently got out. A simple glance at their financials would have told me that the company is deeply in debt. 2017 Q1 and Q2 was a total mess.
You can always have a glance at basic TA parameters - (ROE, ROI etc) In summary HOPE is NOT a STRATEGY |

Toluway: It is during the current bear that gtb travelled to 42 naira, afriprud got to 3.71, Zenith got to 26 naira, dangote flour crossed 14 naira, and etc. Yet the gurus are saying we shouldn't buy now. Then, when are we going to buy?
The only regret that I have ever had over stock buying is when I bought a bad one. Stock market is not for quick money making.
The only time you shouldn't buy stock is during national/global disaster or massive national economic collapse. I'm a practising stock trader; so, I buy stocks. Let the stocks enter November bear, because it will also get out of it. Cheers The opposite is ACTUALLY the TRUTH |
