The irony of the whole evolution deniers is that when Charles Darwin propounded his theory of evolution 150 years ago, the world was much more religious, Christianity ruled European political and social life. At first the theory was mocked and riddled, but after looking at presented evidence, it took just 15 years for the theory to be accepted.

Today, when we have far more information and evidences at our disposal, and purports to like in a secular world, a theory that had withstood scrutiny for 150 years is now being denied, not even by scientists but by pseudo scientists and scientific illiterates. Malaria Drug Chloroquine No Better Than Regular Coronavirus Care, Study Finds

Hydroxychloroquine, a medicine for malaria that President Donald Trump has touted as a treatment for coronavirus, was no more effective than conventional care, a small study found.

The report published by the Journal of Zhejiang University in China showed that patients who got the medicine didn’t fight off the new coronavirus more often than those who did not get the medicine.

The study involved just 30 patients. Of the 15 patients given the malaria drug, 13 tested negative for the coronavirus after a week of treatment. Of the 15 patients who didn’t get hydroxychloroquine, 14 tested negative for the virus.

The results of the study weren’t statistically significant.

Nigeria before IBB pauperised the populace with SAP was not so religious. Yes, people went to churches and mosques to perform their religious obligations, but fundamentalism was not common. The muslims then got along with Christians and the Christians were not obsessed with converting the muslims. From the middle 80's both Christian and islamic fundamentalism started to rise, until it got to the dangerous levels of today.

Same thing in the US, as poverty began to rise, as the rural economy has been destroyed by globalisation, illiteracy and Christian fundamentalism is on the rise. If the trend continues, the US might become a Christian fundamentalist country within 10 years.
