Lol I'm sorry but this is amusing. I'd have easily picked stockfish for it's little to no nutritional value but like ponmo even I know it has a part to play in my pot of soup.

Egusi is a soup. A compliment of the meal. I didn't say ewedu is the most popular soup, I said amala is the lost popular food.
Okay I get you. Even at that, Amala is not the most popular Nigerian food. Most popular in the SW, I'll say yes.

Hahahahahahaha I'm number 2, I go dey for Ghana dey cook food for SA, my hand go long ehn but mek oil splash small fess, Usain Bolt no run reach me, even e remain mek I fly.

Everybody: "Mmhmm it sure smells nice, can't wait to taste it".. That spirit telling me to add more cheering me on from where it sat at one corner of the room cheesy cheesy Me anticipating praises and compliments but you all know how it ended(in hunger embarassed ekun egbere cry cry slashed allowance and regrets cos I shouldn't have paid attention to that spirit in the first place). 6000years of suffering for that spirit angry Don't beg me, I'm still in sifia pains oo.

Pick one grin
To the OP, I think the most popular Nigerian food after Jollof rice is B(you just have to give it to Egusi, alot of people love theirs with Pounded yam, some Semo, some Fufu, wheat sef dey, then Eba). Some mix theirs with draw soup(mostly ogbono), some use Ugu leaves, some moringa leaves, some onugbu and some uziza. I don't really like Egusi soup but it is a very popular Nigerian delicacy. Who no know Egusi abeg?! Even if you never chop am, you for don see where pesin dey chow am lol.

Very very yummy! God bless you OP. I particularly love it with goat meat or cowleg Brokoto and I love the beautiful colour contrast.

If you want to invest in the local food industry, please kindly bring such investment to Lagos.

As for Ewedu, I love love it so so very much! Especially with iru woro. Incidentally, many don't even know that Ewedu(Jute leaves) delicacy is a global meal and so much loves for its taste and high nutritional value. The Egyptians, Asians even prepare it like a drink and enjoy it warm with its characteristic mucilage.
I love it too, especially when the Amala is very hot, and yes to ogunfe ati inu eran.

Education is verse and we all learn in different ways. But some of the things we know now we learnt it in an unconventional ways and that’s the essence of this thread…

Which English word, phrase or sentence did you learn in a funny way?

Mine is “Nincompoop”

Our Principal in my high school days when pissed off by our doings will just say “all of you are Nincompoop”
Sometimes we clap for him and hail him for using those big words on us.
This particular word has sticked in my head ever since.

Share yours….
Sorry I can't now remember any of such so I came here to laugh after reading the boldened grin grin cheesy
FamilyRe: Confused: Is His Wife Cheating? by 1F30M4(f): 1:39pm On Nov 27, 2021
I'm guessing your friend went to see a doctor who further advised him to do a lab test. If the result says it is a gonorrheal infection which is transmitted through se.xual intercourse, then he must've gotten it from his significant other. If he's still in doubt, he could go to another lab, if it's the same outcome then he really does have gonorrhea.

I see you're asking how he can approach his wife on this matter without her being dramatic, turning it on him and playing the victim card. I like the fact that he has booked an appointment with a doctor, let him start from there, maybe tell her the doctor wants to see them both and the earlier the better(just anything to make her go with him, like the doctor said nothing other than it's a life-or-death situation and she has to be present lol, all these with what I call a "miserable" face) so she has to make out time from her very busy schedule. I'm sure the doctor will take it up from there. I hope the infidelity ends there and really not lead to a life-threatening condition.

omis234:
Since you already have a passion for lecturing, why not go for the lecturing job. You will have more time for yourself compared with factory work as you also continue to build a career in that line. You may also pursue your MSc with time as you continue to grow in the lecturing path.
The monetary gain may not be encouraging at the onset but you won't regret the decision if you remain diligent and focused. My 10k advice
Yess OP, take this advice, all of it.

PoliticsRe: Kenechukwu Okeke Killed By His Tenant In Anambra - Wife by 1F30M4(f): 5:38pm On Nov 25, 2021
Tf is "one day, his tenant came with some boys, they macheted him, they poured fuel on him and lit him up and that was how he died...that day was Sunday and not everyone was around...later we took him to hospital in Enugu and that was how he died"?! She really doesn't know what day her husband was brutalized? How about the day he died..in the hospital??

Since October, and nobody heard about this really? Even the police who knew about it from the onset said the matter is still sketchy wow just wowww. It's indeed an unfortunate incident and if truly Chiadiobi is the culprit, he & his gang should face judgement. I hope, really do hope that justice prevails if not for anything, for their deceased beloved advocate.

Christianity EtcRe: The Solemnity Of Christ The King Sunday by 1F30M4(f): 9:57pm On Nov 21, 2021
Lorddominic:
You're not wrong with your statement. Actually, the feast of Corpus Christi falls between March and April which coincides with the rainy season in this part of the world. As a result of that, the Catholic authority in Nigeria decided to push the celebration/procession for Corpus Christi to the Feast of Christ the King which always falls on the last week of November (dry season)
Thank you for clarifying it, God bless you.
