It's now that you know it is fireworks, when it first happened nobody knew so don't even try to act slick. For all we know it could have been a bomb, it certainly looks like one.

See mumu people, what is the function of such device in a place of worship? A sensitive place in the North in the middle of religious tensions. It's like walking into a bank with such a device and smiling or approaching Buhari with it and shouting OMO I DON BLOW. Let's stop taking serious issues lightly in this country, this issue that we are discussing with jokes and banter could easily have beeen a massacre!

Nawa for you!
Almost all Countries have the Nigerian Embassy, so you mustnt come to Naija to renew your passport.
In US, we have the Nigerian Embassy in some states like Atlanta, DC, so when there's need , one can travel to the aforementioned states for their passports.
I live in Atlanta, my point was in regards to a guy that wants to correct/change name on his passport. It stated first come to Abuja then it said those in diaspora should also visit the Nigerian embassy there. Well I've been to the Nigerian embassy here in Atlanta and was told it can only be done in Abuja. So what's the truth?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Impeachment: Democrats Conclude Final Arguments, Call For Trump’s Conviction by abbey621(m): 3:29pm On Feb 04, 2020
Blackfriday:
Popular you say....we will all wait and see how that plays out but one thing I can bet on is this, no matter who the Democrats filed in the upcoming presidential election, Trump will never win the popular vote, he will only have a chance again at the white house through the college votes and that's what the DNC need to fix.

Now coming back to make you understand what this impeachment trial is all about. It is not to remove Trump from office, the Dems know these already, they can't remove him from office, the Republicans will never allow it even if they know Trump is so inept in the duties of the POTUS but by holding a simple majority in the Senate, they are bond by party affiliation to defend him. The end goal of this whole drama is cast a spot light on his ineptitude to the public eyes and they have, so the reason the Republicans will vote not to call for more witness and base there argument on the fact that the crimes he committed was not a high crime but a misdemeanor.

Do the Republicans agree he committed a crime now, YES (a quid pro quo), something your lot has been denying all along.
Let me correct some misconceptions here, quid quo pro is not a crime, many presidents have done it in the past and many more will. The problem here was that it was done to target the opponent in an election cycle. It most certainly is not a criminal issue but one of whether he abused his power as the president. Is this impeachable? Does the president not have the right to direct his agencies on matters of national security? This was the real debate, one in which the Democrats failed to truly connect with Trump's base. His base would not turn on him after all the allegations of racism, using his office to profit etc, what makes you think they would turn on him with this sham?

Like you said the popular vote is a real issue but ask yourself, which of the current Democratic candidate is as popular as Hilary Clinton? Which of them would sincerely tackle Trump on the economy? Unemployment rate? Veteran's satisfaction? Stock market? Which of them would galvanize the minorities to vote in masses? I would be highly surprised if trump does not win by a wide margin come November.

Others: Replacement of name(s)/ Addition of name(s)/ Deletion of name(s)/ Rearrangement of name(s)

1. Complete passport application online and pay non refundable administrative charge.

2. Submit application letter with other requirements in person at the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters, Abuja for further processing

3. Nigerians in the Diaspora are to submit application at the nearest Nigeria Embassy/High Commission or Consulate.

4. After approval, proceed to pay online for passport booklet. 5. Applicants are required to appear at chosen Immigration Office for photograph and biometric data capturing if current passport is more than six (6) months old.
This doesn't make sense, so those living abroad should go to Abuja first and then submit application when they get back to their foreign home? Perhaps they go to the foreign embassy first and then make the trip down to Abuja?

If she goes finally then "bon boyage" and he moves on too !!
Yea space is good but he shouldn't put his life on hold, he should start searching and enjoying himself too.

Let's not rush into hasty conclusions, like I mentioned it could be immaturity or her just being foolish. But time tells everything , that's why he needs to be patient and work with time. She could also be pulling the strings of manipulation and taking advantage of his love . So he has to be wise and give her what she asks for . I f she takes it good for both still early for them, if she changes still good for both for better understanding than one sided love.If they must move forward it has to be both and together
Let's learn from history so that we don't become history. This woman is shouting she's not ready, she has been forced, she's stressed yet he should continue watching her till when? Till she decides it's time to end him like Maryam? Till she decides it's better to seek the arms of another man secretly? Till kids get involved and then things become more complicated?
Romance › Re: Im Thinking Of Divorce Just Few Months Into Marriage by abbey621(m): 4:17pm On Feb 02, 2020
Misscongenialit:
Most couples experience this after the marriage, some maybe 6 months , some after a year.
The problem is usually the immature partner that doenst want to let go of previous life and settle down as a responsible married person.
If she wants space, please let her have as much as she wants, clearly you love her more and willing to make this work, but she will play on your love even more throughout this marriage , how you handle this issue goes a long way to determine how you will be treated in it.

Pls , give her the space she wants, you dont have kids yet so dont fret. If she greets you return in same tone , if she doenst eat with you eat alone, just act like you are not even bothered . Dont even check on her or monitor her, if you have a good sister or mum or good friends spend some time with them, avoid the temptation of another woman. Dress up look good and take a trip alone. If you are working or in business ,devote this time to these and you will be amazed at how the minds can sort itself.

If nothing changes in the next 12months, pls it's better to be single and alone than married and lonely
Sorry but your advice is like seeing smoke coming from your house and laughing, saying it's only smoke and not fire....lol. The best thing this guy can do is to dissolve the marriage quickly and move on, it is clear the girl is not ready for marriage but the bigger issue here is that she has no RESPECT for her husband or her mother. Such a girl cannot make a good wife, cannot make a good partner, cannot be trusted to raise good kids and most certainly is not worth the energy and sanity of a good man!

If that expectation is met, the President may remove travel restrictions at any time. Conversely, the President has also determined that if improvements are not made, additional restrictions may be added. Those travelers who have already been issued visas by the U.S. government will not be affected by the new restrictions.
You guys should stop panicking, as long as Buhari does the right thing, the restrictions will be removed. Your grudge is with Buhari not the US government!
Foreign Affairs › Re: E. Jean Carroll Seeks Trump's DNA Over Rape Accusation by abbey621(m): 10:12pm On Jan 30, 2020
Noone should be surprised by this. If a COZA pastor can be accused of rape from over a decade ago why won't Trump be accused of the same. In this life there are 4 things that opens you up to being accused of rape:

1. You get money
2. You are famous
3. You like parties/women
4. People hate you as much as they love you.

So if you're still managing and nobody knows you, abeg thank God for your blessings grin grin grin grin

Let's not get carried away here, we all know Kante is being played out of position and we all know there is nobody better at winning the ball back or hounding players like a rabid dog than him. Ndidi is good but not Kante good, let him win a trophy first then maybe we can start having the conversation, let's not insult the two time Premier League Champion, UEFA League and World Cup Champion by comparing him to a Sissoko/Casemeiro type player, NO NO NO, let's compare him with only the likes of Makelele & Vieira. Let us also not kid ourselves, if you had only one option, who would you pick? You know the answer, you KANTE cover 70% of the pitch without him grin grin grin

The problem is that the people make the government. These government officials are Nigerians who were voted by Nigerians. It is the same citizens who vote this government in power. And it is the same citizens who continue to support corrupt politicians. EFCC is one sided,APC Is one sided , so is PDp and so is most Nigerians. To find a honest Nigerian is a rare phenomenon. To be honest and fair in Nigeria politics is to be considered being a mumu.Until we changed our mindset on who we put in office that is honest and not corrupt. My brother I do not expect anything to change. So FG will continue to act the way a corrupt government is going to act.
Now this I agree with but do you know the majority of people that vote in 9ja? Market women, traders, lowly educated people. How do you enlighten them? How do you enlighten someone that values a bag of rice or 1000 Naira so much? The corrupt elements you mentioned knows this, this is why nothing is going to change in this country the civil way, true change will be bloody and forceful.

Too much criticism of the Nigerian government here. Many do not even understand how boko Haram get their money from or who is funding them. Terrorism happens everywhere in the world, it happens in Iraq , Pakistan, Palestine, Egypt, Iran, USA, UK, Spain, France, Japan, Philippine, Turkey, Isreal and even the Birthplace of Islam Saudi Arabia. Nigeria is no exception. Government cannot stop terrorism but they can try to slow it down. Stop blaming the FG and see how you can support the government. Birth control, provision of jobs and reduction of illiteracy in the Northern part of Nigeria can slow down terrorism in which I am high skeptical , till then wait to Christ returns for the final judgment.
With all due respect, you don knack head for ground! Any government that cannot protect its citizens from domestic and international terrorism is not fit to govern. The reason places like USA, UK and even France are seen as safer and more advance is because over 30% of their budget goes towards the military and supporting allies, whwnever a terrorist attack happens, the government panics because the citizens would not vote for them in the next election. A government like Nigeria's in which the government would rather spend that money on salaries of politicians, private jet and other extravagant expenditures deserves all the criticism in the world. Don't ask citizens to support a useless government that values cows more than humans, don't tell citizens to fund government where so much embezzlement and unnecessary spending occurs!

My husband blamed me for everything saying it’s all my fault those girls are becoming bad. The truth is he is the one that has been spoiling them with expensive phones , tablets and designer clothings and pocket money. I was against him pampering them so much because I knew it will come to this but he has always told me he works hard for his children to have better things and now they had become bad, he has put all the blames on me forgetting that it’s all his faults.
You are a mother for goodness sake, it is your responsibility to make sure your child especially a female one behaves morally, your husband can try the tough guy act but we all know mothers have greater influence over their children. All your child is doing is calling out for attention, look at your situation. You and your husband both leave early for work and probably spend less than 2 hours per day with your child, your husband like many fathers believe matrerial things would keep her happy, while you are completely oblivious of what it means to be a mother. Yea you kicked against the gifts but what have you done to actually show your female child right from wrong. When was the last time you had discussions about sex, alcohol, boys etc., abi na the man suppose do that one too? I would advise you to spend more time with her especially on weekend, connect with her in a way that your husband cannot. Bring out the mama bear in you and show her she means more to you than making money. If you don't have the strength, seek professional and religious help, keep her so busy that she has no time for anything else, after she turns 18 or 21 she's an adult so she's on her own, what will be will be!

All in all, YOUR PROBLEM IS STILL GOVERNMENT/POLITICIANS. Do you know how long it took America to enact labor laws that guarantees on-time payment of wages/salaries? Do you know the many struggles they had to go through before they got it right? Ever heard of worker's advocates/unions? The day that the Nigerian government enacts fair labor laws and starts enforcing them via hefty fines and whistleblower compensation, that is the day your problem ceases to exist! The greatest damage to the chances of an Igbo persone merging as president is IPOB. You cannot seemingly align with those who wish to divide the country and yet aspire for the most powerful position in that said country. Once the Biafran element is removed, I believe a Northern collaboration is the next step, the SW will dance in line naturally once we see that the Northerners are in favor of the Igbo candidate.....Case closed grin grin grin grin
