Demand that your leaders tell you the truth, Coronavirus case in 9ja is over 1000 and it is going to continue spreading because our leaders have been useless since 1960. Wait till the figures in Bauchi are confirmed and the 4,0000+ people of interest are actually found and tested. |
I'm not here to alarm anybody but your government is lying to you, there are over 1000 people infected with the virus in Nigeria and it will continue to rise everyday because of lack of testing and low IQ of our people. |
djon78:Then tell me what was the justification for the Cedi being 11,000 to 1 US Dollar in 2009 and then restructured to 1.5 Cedi to 1 USD the following year. What special exemption did they receive and what's stopping other countries struggling like them to do the same. I'm not going to argue on technicalities here, every country has this ace up their sleeves but whether they choose to do it or not, that's an entirely different discussion. |
Nigsrdumb:Why would China want to strengthen the Yen instead of their own currency? I mean it's not like China & Japan are allies. |
einsteine:Can you show me where I stated their economy was weaker than Nigeria's? For someone so smart you sure sound dumb! Go back and read what I wrote and this time slowly. You'll see that I made reference to their currency as one of the factor of their economic similarities with Nigeria. Nigeria is messed up, this much we can all agree on but for a country with the same issues or more to start criticizing us is plain hypocrisy. I never mentioned Nigeria was better than Iran and I certianly never implied it, get your head out of your ass and COMPREHEND.....Don't bother to reply! |
Nigsrdumb:Sure its rigged, I mean the biggest currency manipulator in the world(China) is so stupid to have over 50% of its foreign reserves in US Dollars. It is so rigged that even the almighty Russia has some of its reserve in this same dollar. Surely China & Russia can't be so stupid! |
einsteine:Since you've chosen to remain an educated idiot, I'll treat you like one, we are not talking about monetary figures(technically) here but economic/real value. Perhaps I should have clarified it for you, the more people spend and depend on a currency the higher its economic value. There is a reason the Dollar is still preferred over the British Pound and the reason is simple, more people spend and transact(60% of all foreign reserves is in USD) with it than the Pound. Any government can wake up and choose to restructure their currency heck 1 Naira can be 1 Dollar tomorrow but if the Naira is not accepted as a valid excahnge currency abroad and depended upon by more people then Naira will gradually drop in value to match its economic reality. This is exactly what is happening to the Cedi, from 1.5 Cedi=1 Dollar in 2010, now it is 1 Cedi=5.7 Dollars. I agree with you the relationship might not be linear but a relationship exists nonetheless! I hope an educated idiot like yourself can see the light now and stop running around in your own shadow . I know you want to sound so intelligent but between the foul language and the msiguided snetiments, I don't know whether to laugh at you or pity you ![]() |
einsteine:Can you excahnge Dalasi in South Korea? Can you exchange Cedi for Dong? All must be processed through intermediaries such as USD. If you don't realize that the Cedi was reformed by removing zeros and that the actual value is still much worse than the Dong or Won then you have not been paying attention to financial markets. As for Gambia only a fool would believe you can take 50 Gambian Dalasi and get 1150 won. Like I said earlier, purchasing power is different from numerical figures, educate yourself instead of just trying to sound smart online. |
einsteine:This is not about patriotism in fact I could care less about majority of Nigerians and your foolish ways. I just hate hypocrisy, it's like an American criticizing the Nigerian government for police brutality....LMAO! |
CptCharlesVane:Again, I repeat show me where I implied that Nigeria was better than Iran? So far you've not been able to do that hence I'll continue to ignore your rhetorics until you receive sense! |
Dajuyoung:I don't see why any Nigerian should criticize other countries, that would be hypocrisy because we have our own issues. |
shegzhkn:I already explained this earlier, we are not talking about figuaritative value only but purchasing power and acceptability. There's a reason the US Dollar is more valuable than the British Pound globally even though the Pound is the higher currency. Try going to the USA and exchanging Libyan Dinar for US Dollars, you would be laughed upon but bring the Yen and you can covert it easily. |
CptCharlesVane:Chronic mental disorder is when you keep putting words in people's mouth, go back and read all my commments, if you can show me where I wrote Nigeria is better than Iran then I'll publicly apologize to you, otherwise I maintain my stance, you're an idiot and a bloody fool! |
CptCharlesVane:So you've lived in every country in the world? I feel sorry for you, try living in Syria, Sudan or Yemen, you would know say khaki no be leather. I have traveled to over 22 countries hence trust me when I say, shut the f*ck up! |
djon78:Sanctions is because of a combination of things, nuclear power is a form of terrorism. Everyone knows Iran supports the Ayotallahs, the Ayotallahs supports death to America hence Iran supports terrorism. Once again, you really don't see the hypocrisy here? I have no problem with Iran and their beef with the USA, my problem here is kettle calling pot black. |
djon78:You can't eat your cake and still have it. What caused the sanctions? Is it not terrorism and thoughtless actions by their leaders? The same thing the Iranian is accusing Buhari of condoning. Which brings me back to my original statement, kettle cannot call pot black, take it or leave it, hypocrisy will not be tolerated! |
djon78:Please go back and read but this time comprehend, the Yen is a top 10 currency and Japan is a top 20 economy. Top 10 currency here does not always mean figurative value with purchasing power, the amount of people spending the Yen far outweigs that of the Ringitt, the amount of foreign debt and forex in Yen is far more than that of the Ringitt because Japan's economy is seen as far stronger than that of Malaysia's. Another example is the US Dolar and the British Pound. The Pound is higher but when it comes to value the US Dollar is far more valuable in terms of economic indices. This is Investing101, I'm surprised you don't know this....lol. |
djon78:I keep telling you to do your research but you are bent on being ignorant so I will do the research for you: https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2019/country-chapters/iran https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-48119109 I love how people like you want to compare Iran with Nigeria but shy away from comparing them to their neighbors like Lebanon and Saudi. Yo uwould rather compare a nation of 82 million with that of over 200 million. A nation with a significantly higher educated populace than that of a nation where majority of the people don't go to college. Which brings us back to what this discussion was about, an Iranian calling out a Nigerian president for NOT DELAING WITH TERRORIST, NOT USING PROPER GRAMMAR & NOT TAKING THINGS SERIOUSLY. Well, if anyone is going to criticize the Nigerian president shouldn't it be those whose countries are not dealing with similar issues? Terrorism, religious conflicts, economic depression sounds familiar? I've educated you enough for today, any further argument is just a waste of my time! |
NLReposter:Currency value is a major determining factor, don't deceive yourself! The Japanese Yen is a top 10 currency and Japan is a top 20 economy, so I don't know what you're talking about. Yes we have other factors including cost of living, GDP and so on but even when we consider other factors Iran is still failing. Yes they might be a little bit better in certain areas but definitely does not justify the kettle calling the pot black. All I'm saying is reason for yourself don't be a sheep! |
Khaleepha5681:You operate an assumptions hence you can't be taken seriously. What if pigs can fly? What if beggars rode horses? The Iranian blasted the president for not dealing with terrorism yet the same terrorism landed his country in trouble with sanctions....Can't you see the hypocrisy or are you too daft to think for yourself? |
NLReposter:We'll never know because your question is rhetorical. Oman, Qatar, Australia, Norway, Iceland and many other countries are not storng defensively but their economy is very positive. So what does your question have to do with the topic? |
djon78:They might have all the things you've mentioned but like I said earlier every country is judged based on the economy and the welfare of its citizens. You can't say a country is far better than Nigeria when they're suffering from the same ailments as Nigeria. You can't say they're better when their money has no value, when unemployment rate is 11% or higher, where people are still getting blown up and religious conflicts abound. If you love Iran so much, carry your family and live there, talk is cheap my guy! |
Hypocrisy of Nigerian elites. You can donate to Coronavirus but can't come together to solve the refinery/electricity/unemployment problems in Nigeria. Corona comes everybody is shouting crisis but we've been hit with poverty virus for decades and we are told to continue suffering and smiling. Dangote, Otedola, Adenuga etc, more than 100 capable billionaires in Nigeria yet basic things are seen as gold in this country. A wise man said Corona is the great equalizer, I'm starting to believe it....So rich man can actually give a damn about a serious issue affecting the masses.....Interesting! |
djon78:I'm not even going to bother to dignify the nonsense you wrote. Just simple question, search Google and ask how much is 1 Naira in Iranian currency? The answer is over 100. One Naira gets you over 100 of Iran's currency and you're here spewing trash. Every country in the world is judged based on economic factors and the comfort of their citizens, both Nigeria and Iran are failing in these aspects, to argue otherwise is to remain ignorant! |
fuckpro:Where in my statement did I state one Nigeria? Idiots like you, jump into a conversation without comprehending! |
Livingstone124:How can you not compare, in terms of oil they have more oil. In terms of people escaping poverty, religious conflicts and terrorism, they are just as worse as Nigeria. Google is your friend, do your research! |
So let me get this straight, an Iranian criticizing a Nigerian president for : 1. Being stupid 2. Failing to deal with terrorists 3. Poor understanding of serious issues AN IRANIAN! Quick questions: 1. Is there peace in Iran? Have the ayatollah and the other terrorist elements been defeated? 2. Is Iran's Economy bubbling? I mean with all the sanctions and global oil prices dropping, how can it? Is Buhari a dullard? Absolutely! Is he inept? Very much! But let's not allow pot to call kettle black here, an Iranian has no moral justification to call out incompetence when their own leaders are full of it. I know here in Nigeria we are fond of supporting anything and anyone that takes aim at our leaders, especially our Southern brethens but let's do so with common sense and not be used as a tool by people who are not better off than us. |
The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. Even the Bible says: Mark 4: 25: Jesus said, ”Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him". Matthew 25:29 “For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away". Luke 8:18 “So take care how you listen; for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has shall be taken away from him”. Luke 19:26 “I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away". As someone with a functioning brain or even half a functioning brain, if this does not make you pause and think then I'm afraid your sheep mentalitycan't be cured. You pay your tithe deligently yet landlord dey knock on your door with eviction notice. You pay your tithe year round yet your mother still dey drink garri for village. You watch your neighbors and their kids wallow in hunger yet you're comfortable paying your tithe digitally? Who's fooling whom? |
bonnyhope:Where in my comment did I state that I was against prayer? But when you are in front of a lion, you can choose to either run/fight back or sit there and pray the lion does not tear you to pieces ![]() |
bonnyhope:You're deceiving yourself, prayer without work is vanity. How can a country pray so vigorously yet there are only 500 ventilators, 100 hospital beds in a state for COVID 19? 40 cases already and you think prayer will magically cure all of them....joker! |
Liposure:Nope, it has to go into the respiratory system. |
Swingate:Don't be misinformed, you can get infected from touching objects once touced by an infected person and then using that same hand to touch your face, nose or mouth. Think of all the things an infected person (An infected person can be someone without any symptoms) can touch in your house and then think of all those things as infection points, you'll realize this virus no be joke. |
