solmusdesigns:Are you a ritualist? |
leckzid:This is not about pulling down the industry. It will remain for good. Point is, are the operators paying the necessary tax. |
GamalNasser:In the US and other parts of the world, government earnings from lotteries are used to fund infrastructures and education sector. What about Nigeria? Is it okay for these criminal individuals to corner all the returns. Eventually, the players will be losing money too. |
Daumandu:I like testing perceived "hypothesis". Why not move away from the apartment temporarily for a very short period to see what happens. Personally I always avoid living in apartments or homes that someone else has lived in, if I could. I only did that during my student days. I believe, "used" living abode retain the "energies" of previous occupants. What if they have "buried" something somewhere in the apartment. You know some of our people are fetish. For example my spouse brought in a used huge and beautiful bed into our room with mattresses. Nothing was actually wrong with our own king size bed. I have never slept in that room or on that bed since then. |
Wedding is a family affair and it's not a one man show. First, as a man do not feel intimated mentally by the fact that your proposed spouse is from a wealthy family, and neither should you let it show in the way you relate with your proposed spouse. How to do it? Firstly, avoid the sentiments that come with such feeling by sitting her down and making your points clear on why you think or feel the way you do. Don't bring in the issue of her family wealth. Rather, focus on the fact as a new couple, you both must learn to be independent and only approach your parents as a last resort. And about this wedding, i believe it's okay to accept supports from parents on both sides if the option is there. Would you have turned down an offer of support from your own parent? |
Choplyf:Because some people got together to conjure stories stolen from somewhere else and they did a bad job of it because they never foresee that some people down the line would develop more advanced way of snooping around for history. |
DuBLINGreenb:History of man on earth as we know it is still a tip of iceberg that is revealed and often are expressed viewpoint of those writing the history. Using Africa as example, we ain't seen anything yet. The sahara desert just 10,000 years ago was not a desert and surely housed multiple ancient civilizations, all buried under sand. What about those buried under the ocean? Or do you think couple of lands or water as you see today had same boundaries tens of thousands years ago? The way we tell the story of ancient civilization that live just couple of thousands years ago is the same way future civilizations would tell our story. Now see the difference, what would last longer? A story carved on rocks as the smart Egyptions did or the story stored in the clouds. Which has more protection from the cosmic and earth natural elements. A minute "belch" from the sun alone will do. |
miqos02:No. My point is the population thar currently reside or dominate present day north-Africa and middle-east are not the same as those who occupied these places 1000 to several 1000s of years ago. There were several invasions of these places that was largely dominated by brown to black skin people. That'll why some black Africans from ancient middle-east migrated south towards north, west, and south of Africa. Check online to search the story of the Lemba people found in current day Zimbabwe and South Africa. When these people were claiming to be jews by custom and blood, nobody believed them until a British geneticist did a DNA analysis of the population which revealed they were not just ordinary Hebrew but that they carry DNA that trace them back to the priesthood lineage of Aaron, an ancient priest and brother of Moses. And I suppose we now mostly know that ancient Egypt was largely a black/brown population until ancient Romans and others took over. It is the white man that turned everything upside down for it's own domineering purpose. |
Freehuman:Your comment make no sense but display a lack of sense of history. You could have say there was mixing of population due to the transahara trade that happened largely between people of East Africa and people of the Sahel region of West Africa. East Africa in my.opinion include current day East Africa and Middleeast which was largely Africa until Arab invasions and before the word "middle-east" was coined by fraudulent minded Europeans for political reasons. And if it's not obvious to you, Africans are the most diverse race from black eyes to blue eyes, curly hairs to straight hair, broad nose to pointed nose, thick lips to thin lips, diverse shapes of eyes to those of Bush-men of the Kalahari that look like that of chinese; and shades of black to brown skin and albinism for those that lack melanin which is also expressed in the white man. We carry all genes. What you see physically are what is expressed but recessive genes are hidden in our DNA which is why occasionally a couple of black Africans give birth to non-albino white skin child with blonde hair. Read the story in the link, and don't even think the black mother was sleeping around with a white man because the child was totally blonde, like no hint of a black dna. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2010/07/21/blond-bombshell/amp/ |
englishmart:Don't keep your "mouth" quiet. They will soon collect their passport from you by then your eyes go open. |
NwaAmaikpe:Nigerians and illegality. Do the Sarakis own that land in the face of the law? Answer is No, they do not since they don't have documents to back it up. They allocated the land to themselves and even failed to perfect the necessary documents. Stop all these illegalities. That's why almost everything in Nigeria is chaotic and it seem like an open-air asylum. |
Unrestricted access to tablet and TV in the rooms of teenagers is like handing your daughter and niece to the world. It's like my wife who handed mobile phone with internet access to her 13yr old niece who just arrived from Nigeria. I usually collect and go through the phones of all the kids in the house, and she was using the phone to visit porn/lesbian sites and social media where a chap was asking her to share her nude picture. I watch her like a hawk because of our own kids. Your husband messed up big time. He should be mad at himself, not you. It's typical Nija man shakara. |
Foreign security! How much bouncer cost for America? I was expecting security agents dressed in uniform. |
nograv:Can you blame a businessman for taking advantage of an opportunity granted by lopsided government policy. Like you will close your eyes to such opportunity if it's you. It's called business and it's part of competition in a business world. Thankfully it's Dangote, we have eyes to see what he has done with his profits from the so-called monopoly. And was he the only Nigerian that enjoyed such monopoly? Where are the others. Especially other Nigerians granted license for refineries but would rather "sell" such license to foreign entities. |
Giving N5 Billion to an international charity that would spend half of it on management in Europe or USA is not a smart move. But it's your money. A better option would have been investing the N5 Billion into young entrepreneurs and then using using proceeds from that to fund local charities. I am not sure Femi Otedola is really smart upstairs. But when person get money, na him smart pass in the face of the world. He is lucky, he got a break from inheritance that he later invested. Thankfully, he is not as terrible as Donald Trump who has gone bankrupt multiple times. |
wirinet:Technically, he can't sell the property on his own to repay the loan. Except if he negotiate with the bank to sell on his behalf and then the bank recover their part of the money plus interest and will leave the remaining for him. I really don't trust Nigerian banks. They will wish that nothing goes back to him. |
obakovich:Nah! What's the motive? The family member doesn't owe him money. He owe the bank. If he try to kill him as you think, does that free him from repaying the bank loan. |
People giving their property documents to another individual to use as collateral for a bank loan happens often. And it's also common that debtors refuse to pay back the loan leading banks to pursue foreclosure of the bank through a court of law. Likewise, the 2nd party that own the property often head to the court to file a claim against the bank to release the document. I have run into cases like this. You are probably one of the parties to the agreement with the bank. The best option you have now to prevent the bank from foreclosing or garnishing your property is for you to repay the loan plus interest. The other option is for you to get a lawyer to look for loopholes in the agreement, which I doubt there would be any because banks are pretty smart in covering their "asses". More so, 2nd option will cost you money as you have to pay the lawyer. Additionally if you loose, you may have to pay damages to the bank aside from the loan and (20% - 25%) interest. This damages is often the defendants (i.e. bank) legal cost. If the loan amount is truly N3 million, I will advise that you look for the money to repay yourself because you are like a guarantor for the loan. For some reasons, I think the loan is more than N3 million because what reasonable individual use a house of higher value as collateral for a mere N3 million loan. Doesn't make sense. An example of such court case is attached where an individual is challenging the bank claim to such property.

The glutton elitist northern Nigerians have set themselves up for self-annihilation with their hypocrisy and sharia system. It would have been different if they have been taking care of their people but no they left that for Allah as if He will come down from heaven to give these poor masses education and also feed their stomach. A mixture of poverty, overpopulation, and religion extremism is like a canon that will explode before your eyes. They alone will suffer it. The south is not going down with them. |
You call this deals? Who benefits from these deals. These are deals that should go to local companies to create jobs locally and iit s being handed to British companies. Our so-called leaders are so little minded and unwise. |
GamalNasser:No one is born a criminal. It's the family and larger society that mould children to become criminal minded adults. If you are one start by blaming your parents. |
I can see Nigerian "slaves" subjects of the Queen of England taking this issue that does not concern them too serious. Oh, you are still member of the commonwealth. |
ikezuora4689:How old are you? Do you know how his mother died? She had an accident while trying to avoid paparazzi "chasing" after the vehicle she was with a boyfriend. |
JosephXavier:Discipline who? The reporter that was seriously doing is job or a cameraman that did not get his bearing by coming between the camera and reporter. So, who is not doing his job well here? A quick non-violent shove is different from a push. We need to see that video in slow motion. |
Now, how will he make a living in America starting from scratch. Some would think this is a very great thing for him but um.... America is a leveler o. If he is smart he should focus on being a US correspondent for Nigerian or African news channel or provide expert opinion on Nigeria/African political issues. You don't want to become a journalist turned cab-driver. |
Dullard! Who will come and invest in a country where Fulani herdsmen and ordinary criminals are running rampage. Is this man that daft. |
Buhari may end up in ICC. It will be like film trick. I suppose he think "big" of himself before his people. They will drag him on the floor like ordinary criminal like Charles Taylor. |
spiceadole:I sorry for you. That negative energy you carry within you may turn out to destroy you. You need to release it and free yourself. |
Could this Funke Akindele attitude could be related to the storyline in one Yoruba film (LAGOS GIRLS) Funke Akindele acted as main character where she and her sibling with the help of their mother in the movie were disrespecting their father. Check the scenes in the movie especially at this timelines: ->3 - 5min ->7 - 9:45min ->1:04:44 - 1:06:25 ->1:06:40 - 1:08:53 ->1:34:00 - 1:37:45 Maybe this movie capture her and her sibling real-life relationship with their father. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrJiE6TVgcc |
EzeCanada:You got this "Etan" from Google translate because you entered Cheetah with smaller letter "c" in front instead of capital letter "C". Remember it's supposed to be a noun, so Google Translate does not recognize it as a noun without the capital letter in front. It's for that reason it gave an interpretation for a closely spelled world like "cheat" which mean "etan" in Yoruba. Change the "c" to capital letter, you will get a different result.

Young man of 23yrs want to marry white woman twice is age and no highbrow raised by his parents or community simply because the woman is white or an American. I suppose if the woman is Nigerian or African, the story will be that she want to use him for money ritual or he will end up as houseboy. This young chap will be no more than a sex-slave once he is in the US and would battle the issue of acceptance in a white-man's world. |
Apparently the guy himself was involved in some shady deals in the foreign country he was jailed and deported for. But what do we call this? There is more than one victims here. |
