Osun has good electricity, light wey dem no dey take in 5days. (I always pray we get that kind light in Ondo).

My religion dictates that a wife should submit to her husband in all things, so therefore I reject marriage proposal because: 1) I know I can never submit to the man in question. I can't imagine myself submitting to a clueless man who is terrible at making decisions. I can't imagine submitting to nonsense for the rest of my life. 2) a selfish man who cares only about himself and doesn't have my best interest at heart. 3) a man I cannot flow with on a spiritual and intellectual level. 4) a man that cannot to be a good leader in the home, good father or role model to my future children. 5) A man that lacks good character, discipline and self control when it comes to women, anger and money. Contrary to popular opinion, beauty and financial capabilities is the least on my list |

ORIENTATION101: Weak clapback. Would have been more sound if they counter oyedepo with verifiable biblical passage to drive home their points. The truth is you feminist dont have business in marriage. Feminist movement was for economic and political liberation for women. As far as marriage is concerned there is no equality in marriage. You re only advised to love each other as spouses and be submissive to head of the house which is the man I agree with you completely |

Family › Re: Nigerian Men Have Failed Their Women by akinade28(f): 6:25pm On Jul 30, 2021 |
Hathor5: Nigerian men want to be leaders/heads/captains without accountability.
They destroy the economy, blame in on the youth who is lazy.
They loot the country's resources, it's the white man and neocolonialism.
They cheat. It's the wife's fault.
Side chick kills them, also the wife's fault.
Children hate them, mother turned them against the father.
They rape, it's the victim's clothes.
Moral decay, it's the slay queen they patronize.
Divorce rate, feminism is to blame.
They can't control themselves but it's the female gender that is illogical and emotional. In addition, when they separate from their parents and siblings and refuse to take care of them, it is the wife. Men have been blaming women for their mistakes since the time of Adam, they prefer to shift blame than take responsibility for their actions. It is unfortunate that this is embedded in our culture and society. "A good child is because of the father, a bad child is because of the mother". In homes, women are blamed for men's bad decisions as leaders in the home. It is just quite unfortunate. Today, before I came across this thread I was thinking about the constant female bashing and yabbing we see here on nairaland. Sometimes I wonder is it that men derive some kind of pleasure in bashing, blaming and belittling women? |

Pharaoh4rin: Some people are busy condemning this lady. They don't know how inhuman she might have been subjected to; probably slept with, then set-up, then sacked. She might have been sacked and denied of her salary, and her unforgiven, vengeful heart definitely directed her to act like a real woman. I like her spirit if she acts out of revenge over ill-treatment.
May Allah help us. Amin! Oga, whatever the case maybe, two wrongs doesn't make a right. The revenge will never undo what has been done. For you to make this kind of comment, it means you can also go to any extent to take revenge.people around you need to fear you oo. |

MansoryMX: Lemme correct you there. In today’s world, Love is totally different from everything you and I listed. Humans have evolved and keeps evolving on daily basis. The mentality and average African man or woman has towards so 50 years ago is different from today’s world. But if there is one tools that keeps marriage, it isn’t love or money and offsprings but the many of few things I listed. I totally agree with you |
Family › Re: Another Marriage About To Crash. by akinade28(f): 5:26pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
MansoryMX: Respect for each other, self discipline, a state of peace of mind, understanding at difficult situations, ability to SIT AND TALK THINGS OUT are tools used by our parents. That’s why they have been married for so many years and still counting I get you now. But people believe so called "Love" should encompass all the things you listed. I mean if you love someone one you should respect them, give them peace of mind, be understanding etc. Except when you mentioned love earlier you meant "emotional feelings" or "butterflies in the stomach" or "infatuation" |
Family › Re: Another Marriage About To Crash. by akinade28(f): 4:41pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
MansoryMX: I understand everything you said. In my own case 3 adorable offspring is in the middle of all this crisis. If a man stands and argues or quarrel with a woman it will lead to fighting and hitting which is usually the mind game of every troublesome woman. Me personally don’t have that time. I married a stubborn woman who has anger issues. She never showed it in 4 years we dated, not once did we quarrel but after two months of marriage everything came out and i almost lost my sanity. She is a good wife, yes. She is th best mother to my kids, yes but she has anger issues. Do i divorce her or repair? What about our kids? Am I ready to walk down that line?
You I hope someone read this. When it comes to marriage love, sex and money isn’t enough. If anyone wants to go into marriage because of these 3 things I just mention then that person is making a huge mistake. Especially love, love is not enough when it comes to why a marriage works So what other things will make marriage work? If love, sex and money isn't enough. I really wish to know, reading stories like this makes marriage scary for me oo |

Or should all his members leave an easier mode of communication and disseminating information just because their founder is a Nigerian. See, the government is discouraging and making running any organization difficult in Nigeria with this ban ( Twitter is an easy source for disseminating information). Those that can afford to live outside Nigeria will start leaving the country. Startups will also be discouraged. The best thing for the government is to look for alternative methods of curbing dissemination of false Information without necessarily hurting its citizens May sense fall on you too |

Politics › Re: Forceful Retirement Of 10 Top Army Generals Looms As Farouk Yahaya Becomes COAS by akinade28(f): 7:34pm On May 27, 2021 |
thebosstrevor1: Military rank is by senority according to course. The junior salutes the senior. As you get to the pinnacle of your career, the size of top officers starts to shrink.
Every potential commissioned officer are admitted to the Military university ( NDA) by course. Course is like academic year.
For instance, a person who is in course 7 is a junior student when compared to someone who is in course 6.
Remember that a junior salutes a senior( course 7 salutes a course 6)
If the president overlooks course 6 and choose his army head from course 7, every body in course 6 will have to retire to allow the junior rule so as to allow him carry out his functions without fear and intimidation from his seniors. Interesting |

It is expected that some generals will retire when a new coas is comes to office.
It is just military process.
The present COAS is from Course 37, born on 5th of January 1966 and he is from zamfara state.
The former COAS is from course 36, all his mate in 36 will have to retire. Why is this so? What are the reasons for this tradition? I would appreciate it if you can explain further to civilians like me. I'm really curious to know. |

pepperdemzombie: NOT SUPPORTING THIS MAN. But anybody can make any sort of confession under duress especially when you are in their territory. We were shown a confession but no blurred video to prove his action. We saw some boys bailed from a Police station, only for them to say they were arrested on the 5th of July but asked to write a hand written report that they were arrestef on 7th July celebrating 7/7 cultist day. Another was arrested for refusal to give money, but arrested, detained till midnight and accused of robbery at midnight. The initial story was that he has being raping the girl for 7 years, the story twisted that he used a key 7 years ago and avoiding them. Something is wrong somewhere. He was locked in the same house alone with someone he has molested before, for him to rape her while they record on cctv? Are those people normal? People traumatized a child to get a video? Is that not a molestation on its own? Educate me, how else could they have gotten evidences to back the child's claim for her to get justice in the court of law? It is still people like you that will request for evidences before believing the child's claim. This is reality not a well scripted movie |

Career › Re: Male Boss Vs Female Boss: Who Is Easier To Work With? by akinade28(f): 8:47am On Mar 11, 2021 |
As a female, I have worked with female bosses all my life. I believe female bosses are more difficult to work with because women are new to power, except for few female monarchs that have ruled in positions of authority overtime most women have always been in subjection to males (fathers, husband). In modern times position of authority are opening up to women, hence: 1)they want to over prove themselves. They want to prove that they are worthy and can handle leadership. So they overdo things both positively and negatively 2)they think they been underestimated as women in authority. They overemphasize submission to their authority. 3) They want to over deliver and show they can do better than men. They feel insecure and are difficult to please at times. 4) They don't want to be manipulated because of their gender, because women are perceived to be weak by the society, so they want to show they are strong But I believe as time goes on, things should balance up. Women will have better approach to leadership |
