So you see your wife going to gossip with your little boy in tow. What happened to social distancing? What's the point of the lockdown? Health if more important to whatever sexual fantasy is going in your or SIL's head. Would you allow your biological sister wearing that cloth in your house? If not tell her to wear something else. That she's a nature lady that needs to maintain modesty now. If she does it again, tell her in her sister's presence. Also observe if she wears that same cloth when her sister is at home. Or if she changes into it once her sister leaves the house. |
myobjective:Abeg do not tell me what I know. Ramsay was born in Benin and his mother is from Owo, not Ondo town. Although both are in Ondo State. Growing up in Surulere doesn't mean he was born there. People put different places of birth on record in Nigeria, often for political reasons or to avoid tribal discrimination. Some just put the town they processing their first international passport as their place of Birth. They just quickly do affidavit there instead of travelling hundreds of kilometers to their actual place of birth. I know dozens of people with official Lagos place if birth but actually we're born in Kwara, Osun, Oyo, Kogi, Rivers, Abia, etc. And get stuck with it. Even in the days Oluwole people were very active, it made more sense for people in a hurry to process documents putting Lagos. I know Owo and Benin like the back of my hand. Do your research properly. Haba! I have nothing to gain from wherever he was born. |
Oluneutral:After they will say oyinbo want to experiment vaccine with black people. But after oyinbo have experimented on themselves and produced the vaccine, we will be crying that they are racists for not giving us for free after going to them with a begging bowl. Better don't be a beggar, be serious to do our own things meticulously and not have to rely on oyinbo. |
stevmatt15:Navy and Air force are soldiers too. They are all fight in war. I wrote in the context of the guy I was quoting. Not all are seamen are Navy. There are commercial seamen too. Not even all merchant Navy There is even navy air corps these days. The boundaries are becoming blurred increasingly. |
Youngjohnosas:My brother I have been close to various people even from other African countries. All believe to have various problems of that sort. All those going to T. B. Joshua church for deliverance come from across Africa. I met a girl from South South schooling in Benin. She claimed there were too many witches in Benin. She later admitted that she had not made friends with any Benin person. And frankly has never had any problems with Benin people. But all her friends were from other states. Even her Benin land lady has been very nice. Quizzed what she based her views on, she had no reason. She graduated and later found a decent job in Benin My impression was herself and friends she made came to Benin with their prejudice. As friends they re-enforced each other's prejudices. Keeping them from mixing with or even getting to really know Benin people. Later she will claim to have lived in Benin for 10 years. And her prejudices might sound convincing to people outside. |
kinglee007:. Army is different from Air Force. Army: land soldiers Navy : sea soldiers Airforce: Air soldiers. All are military. But all are not Army technically. |
Youngjohnosas:You dey mind those people? How many bushes littered with sacrificial human bodies do they find in Edo? Those who shout diabolical stuff about Edo have never lived in Edo. I have seen people from other tribes put JuJu tied with red cloth in their pockets. These are not Edo people. Edo are rather direct. If you Bleep and he says I will kill you, do not think he's doing shakara. He will beat you mercilessly. Not like some who will be pretending to be your friend and put JuJu in your chair in the office. |
GamalNasser:I wonder. The man didn't look healthy at all. RIP to him. |
TAO11:Complete fraud. The only possible person buried at the grove would be Oramiyan. Because he was indeed an Oba of Benin, albeit for a short time. Before making his way through Oyo back to Ife. No other Oba or head thereof was buried there. Quite revealing that you would rely on Aristo, someone usurping Ogiameien position against the real chief Ogiamien Osarobo Okunoghae, who's probably still missing or whereabouts unknown. Ogiamien and Evian story is well known. Ogiamien is the mere stool maker for the Oba since about 700 years. He was not even a warrant chief during colonial rule. Where did the purported litigation go? The deception has been Oduduwa political fabrication as father of Yoruba people. ![]() Yoruba that it was even Islamic people who made it up. I know you will also deny the fact that Muslims made it up. The reason Ooni must slaughter 7 black cows if going to Benin is not for crossing 7 rivers as Yoruba have recently made up. Oba Sijuade said it was imposed on every Ooni by tradition. But he refused to explain fully. But in Benin we know why. Simple reason is that because Ekaladerhan/Izoduwa refused to come back to Benin to become king but sent Oramiyan instead. it was imposed that any subsequent Ooni going to Benin must atone with 7 black cows. Isn't it funny that Oba Sijuade would stop at saying why in his interview with Lagos Weekend paper? If it flattered Ife he would have happily said it. But in Benin that fact was known and still well known. Modern population politics cannot stop it. I can dig out the interview for you if you want. So the visit card was also needed with the Sultan, Etsu Nupe, Emir of Borno, Olowo of Owo, Amayanabo of Brass and other monarchs Oba Erediauwa of Benin visited? ![]() |
The lockdown is working. The increase is not exponential. |
TAO11:Well, traditionally, Obas of Benin begin tour a year or two after coming to power. In the past it would be various parts of the empire. In recent decades, he would do a thank you visit to monarchs who came to his coronation. I witnessed Oba Erediauwa's maiden tour. Of course relatives were in his entourage. All the way to Sultan of Sokoto. Benin have no ties with the Sultan. I wrote about it years ago on another thread. 50 years from now, will people also begin reading meaning to their pictures with Etsu Nupe, Sultan of Sokoto, etc? Oba Ewuare II has already toured Edo, Rivers, Cross River, Osun and many other places. They are all on YouTube. As at the time of Oba Akenzua, Edo was in colonial Western region, with parliament in Ibadan. Monarchs were parliament members. Clearly these are related monarchs. I see no reason why such meeting should be interpreted in any other way. Oba Okunade Sijuade in particular knew how Benin and Ife relate. Surprisingly he had the chance to elaborate when pressed by the Lagos Weekend paper in early 1990s but he didn't. He would have been on record now. Whether one agrees or not with his views As the old guard gradually depart, revisionist theories will emerge. |
Nelso2:She may not be physically cheating. But I think the guy asked her out or the guy shows an attitude that may suggest so to her. Most women often feel they are in control. Married women get many temptations to cheat. With work colleagues, clients, etc. Some will cheat, some will not. Women liked being asked out and desired. She likes the attention. I guess the guy tells her sweet things that you believe she knows you feel her. So no need repeating. She also feels the guy can be of other benefits to her. Not necessarily of sexual nature. Some women need a male figure to confide in. They trust men more than fellow women at times. The fatherly figure and the maturity of a 54 years old man might be something she admires and desires. Only danger is, depending on who the guy is, he can exploit her weak moment to bed her. Like if you both have a serious fight and she's emotionally down and turning to him for support. It's a delicate game. If you ready for any potential heartache and other consent, then try to know more. If not please let it be because the result may not be palatable. |
Too much sex, not enough sex, complain everywhere. |
Most have very high body count. Many do not even admit 20% of it. If a lady wants to settle down genuinely, she will. Be economically stable. With poor finances a low body count woman can easily turn bad. |
I keep saying poverty, desperation to survive, lack of opportunity and an uncaring society is a perfect breeding ground for all manner of vices. This cuts across tribes, cultures and religions. To appear surprised that certain people also get sucked into the mess is to underestimate the collective trouble we are all in nationwide. All our children must by the age of 10 be given the firm hope that they can and will make it in life. It's not just through words. But through what society looks like. |
fatymore:I wonder o. With adequate staffing a few days would do. Only the toxicology part can take weeks most times. It seems in 9ja families must pay for autopsy. In serious countries sudden deaths, suspicious deaths, certain in-hospital and some deaths after discharge from hospital automatically warrant autopsy shouldered by the State/govt. We have failed to organise ourselves. Only to hide under culture, religion or our "peculiarities" |
Avalancheman:It's people from outside Edo State trying to Stoke ethnic hate. People of various ethnic and religious backgrounds have co-existed in Greater Benin for centuries. Of which Edo just a small part. I do not know how people foolishly thought naming the state Edo state was wise. Edo traditionally means central Benin City. Not even including Uselu. Whereas Benin was the empire. Even Gov Obaseki's great great grandfather came from Anioma. But they see themselves as Benin today. In Edo people have the liberty to identify as they want. We do not need outsiders to bring us their tribalism and tribal agenda. Benin was capital of an empire from 1440 to 1897. Various people brought their talents and settled there. People like Stella Damasus Aboderin, Ramsay Nouah and many others were born in Benin. It has been a melting pot for centuries. |
Well, snakes have different venoms. Some haemorrhagic, neurotoxic, cardiotoxic, etc. Some even have combination. Is the antivenom NAFDAC approved as a general antivenom? |
Bevmo:Well, a credible poll should solve this. Social scientists should be doing such online. To know how many are willing to risk Covid-19 because of hunger and have lock down removed. People in villages seem unperturbed. They can still feed from the land. Herdsmen permitting of course. |
rotadeco27:It's actually working. If not it would be worse. In a place like UK, without lock down one person would infect about 2.6 other people. A place where households are smaller and many use own cars. In 9ja, if no lock down with packed buses, markets and so many living in crowded face-me-I-face-you, one person might infect 5 to 6 people. Nigeria has not even given the figure what the factor could be. It's clearly hard on people economically. |
[quote author=Judolisco post=88882169]Fg should start building isolation centers around the country.... Let's prepare for war in coming weeks [/quote One wonders what the donated billions have been used for. Lagos & Kano should have like 1000 capacity COVID-19 hospital beds. Specially built or commandeered facilities. And even more isolation capacities. Better not to eventually need them than not have them when needed. Ogun, Edo, Oyo, Osun, Rivers, Kaduna, Kwara, Osun and some others should have at least half of that. We cannot slack, let people perish needlessly and say it's the will of God. |
It probably makes sense in terms of public health. But not politically savvy. If everybody not working now would get just 10 to 15k paid into their accounts weekly, then fine. Two weeks blocks make more sense. Piecemeal stuff. It would prompt govt to also be working harder for alternatives. But this way it would appear govt wants to relax and not bother much. |
Sadly, if it's giving pain already, extraction is almost inevitable. Otherwise it can become infected, form a cyst or affect your gum and jaw bone. So save yourself more pain. |
nickishire:Zombies be like: he so loves Nigeria that he had two flags made to fly behind him. ![]() Normally one flag is the Nigerian flag and the other should be the flag (with a red colour included) of C-in-C. But it's not obvious in the pic. |
Very nice work Jarus. Kudos. |
Ok. |
creolehunt:Dude, fact is most families are troubled. It's the nature of 9ja. Low life expectancy, poor institutions and high unemployment. So social problems abound in many families. Yes, many turn out well in life but those left behind are many too. What you experience is hardly unusual unless people want to "form" on social media. On the other hand maybe God has chosen you to help one family. As much as you dodge, another comes along. ![]() |
